The tour was organized for a very small group just six of us which made the entire experience feel almost like a private tour. It was the perfect balance between comfort, personal attention, and shared discovery. The journey from Hurghada to Luxor took about four hours each way, but the drive was smooth and comfortable in a clean, air-conditioned mini-bus. Our driver was professional and friendly, and we felt safe throughout the trip. What really made this tour exceptional was our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about Egyptian history, and had a way of bringing ancient sites to life with fascinating stories and insights. His explanations were detailed and engaging without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. He patiently answered all our questions and adjusted the pace of the tour to suit our group, allowing us plenty of time for photos and breaks, especially important as one of us had some mobility issues. We started with the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, followed by visits to the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the beautiful Temple of Hatshepsut. Each site was unique and powerful, and the small group size meant we never felt crowded or hurried. We even had time for a lovely lunch in a local restaurant, where we could relax and enjoy some authentic Egyptian food. What I appreciated most was the personalized touch our guide truly cared that we had a meaningful experience. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt included and engaged. By the end of the tour, it felt like we were traveling with friends rather than strangers. Visiting Luxor has always been on my bucket list, and this tour exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a deep, well-organized, and memorable historical tour from Hurghada with personal attention and expert guidance, this is absolutely the way to go. I would book with this company again in a heartbeat.

The Valley of the Kings is one of the main tourist attractions in Egypt, only a small part of the tombs can be visited. You will be able to visit three graves. In the Valley of the Kings you can find the graves of the rulers of the new empire approx. 1550 to 1069 BC 18 to 20 dynasty. In 1922, Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered largely intact.
Lunch at Howard Carter House restaurant: Relax after the Valley of the Kings and enjoy an open buffet lunch [add dishes, e.g. Egyptian mezze, grilled meats, salads, desserts]. Drinks are not included and can be bought at the restaurant.
The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut dates from the 18th Dynasty and is the best-preserved temple on the west bank of the Nile in Thebes. Its idiosyncratic architecture is striking. The entire temple was constructed of limestone and was built within 15 years. In the afternoon we start our journey home and take you back to your hotel in Hurghada. An experienced tour guide (Egyptologist) will be at your side throughout the entire excursion and will share all his knowledge with you. Our day trip to Luxor from Hurghada was absolutely incredible, From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and stress free. The early morning pickup was right on time, and the comfortable, air-conditioned minivan made the long drive feel easy. Once we arrived in Luxor, our guide was waiting with a warm smile and an impressive depth of knowledge. Every stop from the Valley of the Kings to Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon, was brought to life with fascinating history and stories. Being in a small group made the experience even better, as we had plenty of time for questions and photos without feeling rushed or crowded. Lunch by the Nile was delicious and relaxing, and the optional Nile boat ride was such a peaceful bonus! The entire day was packed with highlights, but it never felt overwhelming thanks to the smooth pacing. This trip was easily one of the best parts of our Egypt vacation. If you're staying in Hurghada and want to see the wonders of ancient Egypt in a personal and well-organized way, don’t hesitate to book this tour. Highly recommend
The journey was seamless and filled with awe-inspiring discoveries that left a lasting impression. The private transfer was extremely comfortable, offering a luxurious and stress-free ride through the mesmerizing landscapes of Egypt. The convenience of being picked up directly from our hotel in Hurghada made the experience even more enjoyable. Along the way, our driver was both professional and courteous, making sure we were well taken care of. Upon arriving in Luxor, we were greeted by our knowledgeable Egyptologist guide Mr Yasser, who was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for Egyptian history and culture was infectious, and he provided captivating insights into each site we visited. At the Valley of the Kings, we marveled at the intricate tombs of the pharaohs, The Temple of Karnak was another highlight, with its colossal columns and detailed hieroglyphics. Having a private guide meant we could customize our itinerary to suit our interests, which was a huge plus. We never felt rushed and were able to explore at our own pace, enjoying the flexibility and personal attention that comes with a private tour. Overall, this trip was a perfect blend of comfort, education, and adventure. If you're considering visiting Luxor from Hurghada, I highly recommend opting for a private transfer with an Egyptologist guide.
Booked a private tour thinking it would be quicker, comfortable & better overall but very disappointed. To start the journey there and back was horrendous in the car, roads are very bad so felt everything, was painful, we got picked up 4am in the dark and when we arrived and got out of the car at around 9am we noticed how dirty the inside of the car was! There were footprints on the car seats and dust everywhere! We met Tariq our tour guide at our first stop, to be honest not a very engaging person, we felt like he marched us around the stops then gave us free time after to go back around ourselves to take photos, this happened at every stop during the day. Didn’t understand why we couldn’t both at the same time. We were charged an extra €50 for the 2 of us to go on a 20 minute Nile cruise where is was advertised as €10 per person. We had been looking forward to this so had to pay it but not worth the cost. Lunch was good, the driver was good, the sites were good, Luxor was beautiful but the day was a let down due to our tour guide and the car journey.
We had a great time on our trip to the Valley of the Kings! As others have said, you pack *a lot* into this trip. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but just be prepared for it to be a rushed day. Having said that, our guide Rasha offered lots of information and gave us plenty of free time to walk about and take pictures after she explained a few things about each site. Although you went quickly, it felt enough time for us but a lot of these sites could probably take 2-3 hrs each to fully explore! For a day trip, you get a good taste of what it’s all about. I’ve marked this down a star only because our van was on the small side. If you’re 5’8” or taller, then you may struggle. However, they do stop along the way for you to stretch your legs, etc. One thing to mention is that the vans are equipped with seat belts and there are two drivers on the trip (which is good since it’s a long day)! All in all, we felt this was real value for money. Would recommend to friends & family
Mohamed Salah was very kind and provided us with a lot of useful information. In the Karnak Temple, in the Kiralyok valley, and in the Kiralyok burial place. We left with a big lead, because Mohamed was very excited and gave an interesting and mature answer to everything. I heartily recommend it. It was the best Karnak Temple. We learned many things that you cannot find on the Internet. He answered everything kindly and patiently. It was a stress-free, informative and interesting excursion, Egypt (SHERIF TOURS). If you want to go, look for Mohamed Salah if you are really interested in the history of Egypt.
Mohamed Salah The trip was well worth it. Mohamed was a very friendly guide and was able to give us lots of explanations. He always made sure that we could listen in the shade and elegantly led us past the large group tours. We didn't want to do the Nile cruise at first because we had heard a lot of bad things about Banana Island. But Mohamed assured us that we wouldn't visit it and so we were able to enjoy a lovely Nile cruise. We would happily recommend the trip.
Today we did the tour from Hurghada to Luxor with Mohammed Salah. First we went to the Karnak temple. Beautiful all those columns . We then did the Nile boat tour to Banana island (really something for tourists, but still nice to get a breath of fresh air on the water). Then we had lunch and visited the Hatsepsut temple. The front view of the temple is especially impressive. Finally, we visited the Valley of the Kings where we visited 3 Ramesses tombs and the tomb of Tutankhamun. The last was the least impressive, but because the mummy and sarcophagus were still there, it was definitely worth it. All in all a very nice and complete trip. Highly recommended.
Excellent trip to Luxor from Hurghada. We had two great drivers who spoke good english and took us on the four hour trek through the mountains to Luxor. Our tour guide, Salah, was excellent showing us the main sights but also giving us the history of the region and of Egypt. Highly recommend though suggest you do this in cooler months as we went in the summar and it was extremmely hot. Great service and really enjoyed our time.
Had a lovely day with our guide Mohamed Salah, who took us the valley of Kings/Queens. He was very knowledgeable, funny, kind. Really made the history come alive. (There was a 15 min stop at a rock store, but it was fine. Clean bathroom, cold water and the people were not pushy.) We had a lovely day honestly. The lunch that included is okay, drinks are not included £100. Seen everything we needed to in Luxor. Great tour.
Really very good ! Our passionate and knowledgeable French-speaking guide not only showed us the historical wonders of this fascinating country, but also immersed us in its rich and captivating culture. His anecdotes and in-depth knowledge enriched our experience, making this trip an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Egypt with an authentic and passionate guide.
We learned a lot about ancient Egypt thanks to our tour guide enormous knowledge! Luxor is fascinating, and must see! Pickup and drop off went smoothly. Attractions were breathtaking! I really do recommend not to miss out Luxor while you are in Egypt!
Unforgettable Family Adventure in Luxor! Review: Our family trip to Luxor was nothing short of spectacular, a perfect blend of adventure, education, and relaxation that left an indelible mark on our hearts. Traveling with children can be challenging, but Luxor proved to be a kid-friendly destination that catered to our every need, making it an enjoyable experience for both my 7 and 13 year-old. From the moment we arrived, the transport arrangements were seamless, ensuring a stress-free journey from start to finish. The vehicles were comfortable, well-maintained, and air-conditioned, which is a blessing in the Egyptian heat. Our drivers were punctual, courteous, and went above and beyond to accommodate our family, making every journey enjoyable and comfortable. The highlight of our trip, however, was our amazing guide. Knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly patient with children, our guide brought the ancient history of Luxor to life in a way that was captivating for both ad
Wow! What can I say, best trip ever. It was a long day (5am till 8m) but after a 4.5 hrs drive from Hurghada to Luxor we saw so much. Ahmed our guide was fun, friendly and informative, habibi! Plenty time after guided tours to look around ourselves. I'm in awe at the wonders of Luxor. So worth paying a bit more than other similar trips for a private trip - fantastic new experiance - Worth it for private tour, everything included, delicious breakfast, drinks, lunch and fresh fruit on the boat, all tickets & fast entry, even King Tuts tomb and actually seeing his mummified body, RIP (others booked via Viator and did not get this entry ticket). Definitely book this trip to get the best experience. NB You have to be fairly fit (unlike me) as a lot of fast walking, often on uneven stoney ground, a lot of steps at Hatshepsut (91, I counted), wear sensible shoes like trainers & comfy clothing
We had a perfect day, the guide was great and very informative, thank you again Guide (Mohamed Ali) We saw and experienced many things such as the valley of the kings, Tutankhamun and Karnak temple, Hatshepsut temple, but I liked the tour guide the most. Food was also great, open buffet delicious rice. The ride was also great, we had choices like coke sprite all the trimmings It was the best experience ever in my life And if you want a good informative guide don't forget to ask for mohamed Ali Thankyou so much
Very good trip to Luxor. Ali was a safe driver and Mohamed a very competent guide. The only thing that wasn't necessary was the stop at the Alabaster Stop. The highlight were the tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
What a great day. Driver was great, tour guide was excellent, really knew his history. Amazing time, would highly recommend
We did this full day excursion from Hurghada to Luxor and it was just great! The trip by minivan was comfortable and well organized, with perfect stops to rest. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke clearly and engagingly about the history of Ancient Egypt. The visit to Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Funeral Temple was breathtaking. Every place had a magical atmosphere full of history! Everything was well planned and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to discover the wonders of ancient Egypt! Thank you for this amazing day!
The entire tour was very well organized! After booking, you will receive all the important information you need for this experience. Our guide Islam was great from A to Z! His way of informing us about the history of Egypt deserves 5 stars and more! He was humorous and paid attention to us! When I had questions, he always had a suitable, informative answer ready. If you book a tour in German with Viator, be sure to ask about Islam! We can only recommend the trip and Islam!!!
The entire organization went like clockwork. Our guide Eslam was great. What I liked best was what he told us about life in Egypt. He also handled everything really well throughout the day. His expertise, coupled with humor and understanding of the world, as well as his excellent German, make Asseem a perfect tour guide. We were picked up at exactly 4:10 a.m. In Karnak, the tours start at around 10 a.m. This automatically leaves very little time for all the sights. Thanks to clever timing, everything was perfectly arranged and you can see a lot in a short time.
