I waited at the pick up point for 1 hour since 15 mins before 4:30am (pickup time) but the bus did NOT come without any messages. I texted the company via Viator app and Whatsapp, also called the phone number of the company written in the tour details page, but they did NOT answer at all! I contacted Viator customer support and a customer support person contacted the company for refund, and finally we received their answer. I received the refund in 4 days but I wasted the day due to this terrible service … so I do NOT recommend this tour if you don’t want to have a risk to waste your precious travel time.

When booked said would be 12 hours. Was 17 hours missed dinner at hotel on return so ate once all day.
Excellent trip from start to finish It was a long day but well worth it our guide was very informative and helpful and was passionate about the history and culture 10/10 So much to see in Luxor we could have easily spent all day there Next it was a trip by boat across the Nile to the restaurant for lunch and then on to valley of the kings Amazing is all I can say Then back on the coach to visit Hatshepsut temple and back to hotel Can’t recommend this trip and company enough will definitely use them again
Our pickup was right on time in the morning, and the van was comfortable and air-conditioned, which made the long drive to Luxor really easy and relaxing. Traveling in a small group was perfect—it felt personal, cozy, and way more enjoyable than being part of a huge tour. Once we arrived in Luxor, the magic of the city hit immediately. Ancient history surrounds you at every corner, but what really made it come alive was our tour guide, Nuba. She is absolutely amazing—warm, friendly, and clearly deeply passionate about Egypt’s history. From the first moment, it was obvious that this isn’t just a job for her—it’s a calling. She has this ability to make every story, every temple, and every tomb fascinating, and she explains things in a way that feels natural and interesting, never overwhelming. Visiting the Valley of the Kings was a highlight that I’ll never forget. Walking through those ancient tombs and listening to Nuba explain the pharaohs’ lives, rituals, and afterlife was completely captivating. She gave us plenty of time to explore, take photos, and really soak it all in, so it didn’t feel rushed at all. You could tell she genuinely wants everyone to enjoy the experience fully. Everywhere we went, Nuba was incredibly attentive. She checked that everyone was comfortable, offered helpful tips, and made sure we didn’t miss a thing. The pace of the tour was just right, and she kept everything organized without making it feel like we were on a strict schedule. Her calm, friendly energy made the day feel effortless. Lunch was another treat—a local Egyptian restaurant with delicious, fresh food. It was the perfect chance to relax, chat with the group, and refuel before exploring more of Luxor. Honestly, every detail of this tour, from timing to meals to the flow of the day, felt carefully thought out. By the time we headed back to Hurghada, we were tired but completely happy. This wasn’t just a tour; it was a journey—an experience that let us connect with the history and culture of Luxor in a way that felt personal, authentic, and unforgettable.
I recently did the Luxor tour from Hurghada with HurghadaToGo, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Egypt. The small group (only 4 of us) made it feel very personal and relaxed. The minivan was super modern and comfortable brand new 2025 model maybe and the whole trip felt confortable. We visited all the top sites: Karnak Temples, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made ancient history come alive. Lunch by the Nile was delicious, and the stop at the alabaster workshop added a nice cultural touch.
I highly recommend traveling by mini-bus, especially for the day trip from Hurghada to Luxor, which took about 4 hours each way. We were picked up from our hotel right on time, and our tour guide was excellent. We began our visits at Karnak Temple. I have knee and leg issues, and two ladies in our group used walking aids, but our guide was very considerate throughout the tour, allowing us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the sites at our own pace. Visiting Luxor was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, and we truly enjoyed it. The guide was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and even adjusted the pace toward the end to accommodate everyone. I’m very glad I joined this tour and would definitely book with Viator again. We are especially thankful to our guide for making the trip so enjoyable.
Luxor is incredible a must visit I wanted to stay for weeks to learn more about ancient Egypt. But even in just one day, it was truly satisfying. I highly recommend it.
Our day trip to Luxor with Hurghada Togo was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we were picked up bright and early, everything was organized to perfection. The ride was super comfortable, our guide was not only knowledgeable but also really friendly, and the itinerary was crafted to help us make the most of our time there. We explored some of Egypt's most iconic historical sites, like the breathtaking Karnak Temple, the intriguing Valley of the Kings, and the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut. Walking through these ancient marvels felt like we were stepping back in time. Throughout the day, the team at Hurghada Togo went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. They treated us to free drinks multiple times, keeping us refreshed and comfortable under the warm sun. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly made the experience even more enjoyable. All in all, it was a fantastic day packed with culture, history, and excellent service. I can’t recommend Hurghada Togo enough for anyone eager to discover the magic of Luxor from Hurghada.
The sun had just started to rise over the Red Sea when we boarded our comfortable minivan outside the hotel in Hurghada. We were a small group of six, strangers at first two couples from the UK, a solo traveler from Canada, and myself. But there was something about the quiet excitement of the day ahead that connected us instantly. Our guide, Ahmed, introduced himself with a warm smile. "Welcome to your day trip with AZ Travel. I am your Egyptologist — your storyteller for today," he said. With that, we set off on the road to Luxor. The ride took us through dramatic desert landscapes and sleepy villages, and as we approached the Nile Valley, the colors changed from golden sands to lush green fields. Ahmed filled the drive with tales of ancient gods, pharaohs, and the everyday lives of people who lived over 3,000 years ago. His passion for Egypt’s history was contagious. Our first stop was the magnificent Karnak Temple — a colossal open-air museum that seemed to defy time. Walking among its towering columns, we marveled at the intricate hieroglyphs while Ahmed brought the stories to life. “This isn’t just stone,” he said, “it’s the voice of a civilization. After Karnak, we crossed the Nile by motorboat — a peaceful, breezy ride with views of Luxor’s West Bank ahead. We were treated to a delicious Egyptian lunch at a quiet local restaurant. The table was filled with aromatic rice, grilled chicken, tahini, fresh salad, and soft pita bread. Over lunch, our group swapped travel stories and laughter flowed as easily as the mint tea. Next, we explored the Valley of the Kings. Standing before the entrance to the tomb of King Tutankhamun, it felt surreal to be so close to the legacy of one of history’s most legendary figures. Inside, the tombs were rich with color and detail — sacred texts and artwork carved deep into the rock. We made a final stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the giant statues standing like eternal sentinels over the Theban necropolis. As the late afternoon light bathed the landscape in a golden hue, we all stood quietly, taking in the moment. The drive back to Hurghada was calm — a gentle silence filled the van as everyone dozed or stared out the window, reflecting on the unforgettable journey. What had started as a simple day trip had become a vivid dive into the heart of ancient Egypt, made personal by the intimacy of our small group and the insight of our guide. AZ Travel had delivered more than a tour they had given us a story to carry home.
We went to Luxor in April, it was incredible! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Egypt. Our transfer was smooth, are drivers were all very helpful throughout the day & made sure we were provided with cold drinks & a decent lunch. We would like to also say a huge thank you to Abdul our tour guide, he was very knowledgable & friendly so we gave him a lovely tip to at the end.
We booked a full-day tour from Hurghada to Luxor, and it was hands-down one of the best travel experiences we've ever had, everything was incredibly well organized. The early morning pickup was right on time, and the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned — a huge plus for the long drive! Once we arrived in Luxor, our guide was waiting and was absolutely fantastic — knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly friendly. He brought ancient Egypt to life with fascinating stories and insights at every stop. We visited the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut's Temple, and stopped by the Colossi of Memnon. Every site was more breathtaking than the last! Lunch was included and served at a charming local restaurant with authentic Egyptian cuisine — so delicious and filling after a busy morning of sightseeing. There was plenty of time for photos, questions, and even a quick boat ride on the Nile (optional, but totally worth it!). The whole day ran smoothly and never felt rushed, despite how much we were able to see. If you're staying in Hurghada and want to see the wonders of ancient Egypt without the stress of planning, I highly recommend this tour. It's a long day, but absolutely worth it. We came back with unforgettable memories and a much deeper appreciation for Egypt’s history. Don't hesitate — just book it!
Hurghadatogo is really super attentive to all requests and has great attention to detail. the excursions were really excellent with well trained guides. amazing time travel the wonders of luxor. Speechless instead it was the visit to the pyramids, where I asked my girlfriend to become my wife and even there Ahmed outdid himself by letting me find a red carpet and flowers practically in the desert, making the atmosphere surreal. Thank you thank you.
I would book this excursion again in a heartbeat! Everything was so well organized, and the stops were perfectly timed, not too long, not too short. Our guide, Mohammad, was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and focused on sharing the most important and interesting details. The car journey was a bit more adventurous compared to Germany, but that’s part of the experience, Lunch was delicious, and we really enjoyed the meal. If you're planning to visit the Tomb of Tutankhamun, it costs €15 per person, and the Nile cruise is €10 per person—both well worth it! I’d also recommend bringing a small tip, as the locals truly appreciate it. The trip felt safe at all times, thanks to our attentive guide and the presence of security throughout, not just at checkpoints. Overall, a very impressive and worthwhile experience—highly recommended!
We had a great day in Luxor. Everything went like clockwork. Our Guide Abanoub arrived early and was a brilliant guide throughout the day. Knowledge Kind and Helpful. We would book through tripAdvisor again and from our personal experience can recommend.
Brilliant tour of luxor, learned so much from our guide abanoub also he spoke brilliant English. Would definitely recommend this tour :)
We had a great tour with HurghadaToGo to Luxor, highly recommended for everyone, Thanks Mr Wael our Egyptologist tour guide
The tour was very well organised, great communication regarding pick up times. Drivers and guides were excellent. Would highly recommend. Thank you
Communication from Abdul was excellent, times were always kept. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable. Small group is so much better than a coach tour
Drivers and tour guide were amazing. I became unwell and they took me to hospital and collected me later in the day. The others in my family said the day trip was amazing. So sorry I missed it.
I had the most incredible experience on the Luxor Tour from Hurghada with a small group of just 5 people! From start to finish, the trip was perfectly organized, and traveling in the comfortable mini-bus made the journey smooth and enjoyable. The mini-bus was spacious, modern, and well air-conditioned, which was a blessing for the long ride. Our guide, Mr. Ayman, was absolutely fantastic! As an Egyptologist, he was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. He truly brought the history of each site to life with his detailed explanations and captivating stories. We visited the stunning Karnak Temple, where the sheer scale and beauty of the ruins left me in awe. The Temple of Hatshepsut was equally impressive, with its unique architecture and rich history. Of course, the Valley of the Kings was a highlight. Standing among the tombs of ancient pharaohs felt like stepping back in time. We also visited the Two Statues of Memnon, which were a striking sight and a perfect photo opportunity. Throughout the day, Mr. Ayman made sure we had enough time at each location to really absorb the history and beauty of the sites, without ever feeling rushed. The small group size was ideal, allowing us to interact with the guide and have a more personal experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt—especially with Mr. Ayman as your guide. His expertise and enthusiasm for Egyptian history made the trip even more special. This tour was definitely the highlight of my trip, and I’ll cherish the memories for years to come!
Our family had an absolutely unforgettable experience on the tour from Hurghada to Luxor with HurghadaToGo! From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless and well-organized. The vehicle was comfortable, spacious, and had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver during the long journey. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He made sure we understood the rich history of the ancient Egyptian sites, adding personal anecdotes and answering all our questions with enthusiasm. Luxor itself was magical – seeing the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak, and the stunning Luxor Temple left us in awe. The pace of the tour was just right, with enough time to explore and take in all the incredible sights without feeling rushed. Lunch was delicious, and the stop at the local markets added a nice touch to the day. The staff at HurghadaToGo made sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. They took care of every detail, from transportation to tickets, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, stress-free way to see Luxor from Hurghada, I highly recommend HurghadaToGo. It was a perfect trip that we’ll cherish forever!
It's a bit of a whistle tour - but probably to be expected if visiting so many sights in one day to be fair. Communication was great from the company. Made life very easy and reassuring that we had made the right choice. The drive was easy, relatively comfortable, the drivers were fun. We felt safe. Our guide Salma was fantastic. She was an interesting person herself and her information was great. It's a rushed tour of course, but we had one day - I would have liked the option to choose the tombs to visit at the valley of the kings. But again I understand we were onna bit of a tight schedule. We liked the fact that we had paid for everything in advance and there were no hidden extras. So no embarrassment caused by miscommunications. Overall. I believe it's a good company to go with. Yes it's a little more expensive but once you tally up buying tickets etc at each spot plus food etc it probably works out a similar price. Keeping the group small gave an opportunity to get to know the other folk in the van..it was a lovely day.
Arranged on Viator with HurghadaToGo. A wonderful trip, picked up by our driver Bassem, at 5am as arranged with Ahmed in the office. We drove to Luxor negotiating all the necessary checkpoints. We met our tour guide, Tarek, who was polite, kind and very knowledgeable. The program was followed as stated and included a visit to a local perfume store. We (as a group) declined the final stop of the alabaster factory as we were tired. An exceptional trip, do not hesitate to book! If I come back, I’ll be back in touch for sure! Thanks again to Ahmed, Bassem and Tarek.
A brilliant, but long day out. The minibus was clean and comfortable, the two drivers friendly and safe. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Timetable was perfect. Although the drive was very long and very hairy at times we saw parts of Egypt we wouldn't have otherwise seen. So interesting and different from the hotel resorts you would otherwise only know about. Not bothered about the alabaster stop. Lunch was good. The river cruise lovely, but could have done without the 'zoo' stop. Luxor and the Valley of the Kings were stunning, so worthwhile the long drive.
We had an incredible experience with Viator! Our tour guide was outstanding—she was a true well of wisdom, always ready with fascinating stories that brought each location to life. She was well-liked by all the staff, and her passion and knowledge made the tour truly unforgettable. We highly recommend both her and the Viator team. Choosing them for our tour was the best decision we made!
Absolutely Fab! Great experience and made easier by the staff who were so accommodating and made it smooth.
Overall, the whole experience was a good one. We booked to go on the tour on a Wednesday and were swiftly contacted by the operator to give us more information about the tour and remind us of the £40pp taxes and service charge (included in trip advisor tour description). Our scheduled pick up time was 05:00hrs on the Wednesday morning, however, on Tuesday morning we were woken up by texts and phone calls at 05:00 advising that the driver was outside waiting, I replied that it was the wrong day and we were going the next day, the contact apologised but it was a very disconcerting and I found it difficult to get back to sleep afterwards. I contacted the operator later in the day to confirm the pick up time and as previously arranged, it was 05:00. The tour minibus was waiting for us at the prearranged time at the front of our hotel (Ali Baba Palace), the minibus was an 8 seater as described and was of a decent standard. We were given water and a small food pack with some bread rolls and a pastry. The drive to Luxor is around 4.5hrs with a large check point in Safaga which takes approximately 20mins to get through. There is also a toilet break around half way there for 20mins. Our tour guide, Mohammed was waiting for us when we arrived in the car park outside the Temple of Karnak, he was very polite and his English was excellent. As above, we went to Karnak first followed by a 30mins Nile cruise (£13pp extra), then lunch (buffet type in a restaurant, drinks not included), then Collosus of Menmon, Temple of Hatshepsut, Alabaster shop and finally Valley of the Kings (x3 tombs included). Throughout the day, Mohammed was very informative, giving us lots of information not only at the historic sites but also whilst travelling between, pointing out various locations and full of interesting and surprising facts, he also gave us good advice in relation to what tombs to visit and how to deal with the local vendors. The journey back to Hurghada was just over 4 hours (no Safaga check point) with toilet break at the half way point, arriving back at our hotel at 20:15. I would’ve given a higher rating if not for the call at 05:00 on the wrong day that unsettled both my wife and I and made us doubt the legitimacy until the next morning. The tour itself is a long day but this is expected given the location in relation to where we were staying. I would recommend the tour, it is worth the cost, the guide co-ordinates it very well which takes a lot of potential pressure from yourself and he knows his stuff.
THE TOUR GUIDE Our drivers from Makadi Bay, Hurghada picked up our guide, Hannah, in Cairo. Hannah fluently spoke English and German and was superb in every way. She was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned a lot from her. She was happy to answer detailed questions in greater depth and showed a vast understanding of Egyptolgy as well as providing a calm and patient focus for us as participants of the tour. TRANSPORT At times this was a bit of an ordeal as we switched bus 3 times at the beginning of our journey and again at the end. However the transport was clean and the drivers were pleasant and apologetic. THE PYRAMIDS Awe-inspiring and worth visiting one of the few wonders of the world still left standing. OTHER COMMENTS Very distressing to observe the overworked /often lame, struggling carriage horses and camels with sores. SUMMARY We would definitely recommend this tour, but suggest resting before and after. Also, please don't encourage abuse by taking a carriage.
Hurghada To Go Sherif Tours is really super attentive to all requests and has great attention to detail. the excursions were really excellent with well trained guides. amazing time travel the wonders of luxor. Speechless instead it was the visit to the pyramids, where I asked my girlfriend to become my wife and even there Ahmed outdid himself by letting me find a red carpet and flowers practically in the desert, making the atmosphere surreal. Thank you thank you.
Excellent day tour. Everything was very smooth and efficient. Our driver Ahmed was brilliant, got us there and back from hurghada in no time, while also being very knowledgeable about Luxor, providing info all the way. Our tour guide Sayid was equally as good, ensuring we had plenty of information about the historical sights we were visiting.
We had amazing day with a professional tour guide , Mr Raa he is the best one in Luxor professional Egyptologist your guide he was very knowledgeable on the complexes we visited. And provided clear answers to all of our quotations . It so nice when having someone who understands Hieroglyphics and collect allot of information about the old history
We were picked up at 4:20 in the morning. We had a comfortable minibus and were provided with plenty of cold drinks during the journey. We were super satisfied with our guide Assem Mohammed. He explained everything to us in great detail and in an entertaining way, and told us a lot about Egypt, the people and their customs and customs. The 45-minute Nile cruise was relaxing. After dinner we drove to the Valley of the Kings, to Hatshepsut's Temple and to a stone factory where you could buy souvenirs. At around 5 p.m. we headed back towards Hurghada. Went back to the hotel at 10:10 p.m. Overall, the day was beautiful and informative. But also tiring. Maybe do this tour again.
Many thanks for your professionalism. a great guide a great team I recommend 1000% the day went without surprises everything was perfect
Thank you so much for the wonderful trip, Very well organised, Very good tour guide and knowledgeable. Big thanks for Hassan who helped us to make my dream real. Keep it up
The sights were beautiful. However, we never got to see the Papyrus factory or Luxor Temple, due to time constraints. We wished our guide would would have told us that we are spending too much time at the Essential Oils retailer, as that appears to have been the reason for not getting to see the Temple…. seems like the guide was more interested in assuring sales for the oils market… At the end he told us that we’d have to be out of Luxor soon, due to the checkpoints. After all, the Luxor Temple tickets had been paid by us with the tour price…..Sadly!
An excellent trip, very knowledgeable and informative guide, excellent drivers and comfortable Vehicle. The sites and temples were majestic A few comments *but didn't detract from the enjoyment of the trip.* The advert with Viator states 1) 14hr day 31/2 hour to Luxor from Hurghada, but it is more like a 16-hour day 41/2 hour road trip. The shorter day was the reason why we booked this excursion 2)It states an English guide the Austrian couple and ourselves were under the misapprehension it would only be in English 3) The Nile boat trip was an option at 10euro per person if not taken up would cross by ferry, This was not given as an option, however, we would have taken up Nile cruise in any case. The charge after was circa 13euro/person; but did include fresh fruit and drink. I would suggest this Nile cruise is included in the overall cost of excursion to prevent misunderstandings.
Amazing experience with Hussein everything was organised properly and perfectly. We did Luxor and Cairo with him best time ever had private mini bus, food was a buffet water was provided
It was a great vocation with traveling Egypt we was in Cairo for 1 day with Mr Ahmed the tour guide we got a lot of information about Egypt civilization
Very good service, nice and pleasant team! Very good English speakers ! Very clean and very serious! We felt safe! Thank you!
The views were amazing. We saw temples, took a boat ride on the Nile and had a great experiente with my friends.
The best Imaad is is a very good guide and will not make you miss any great activity. Imene ( Chaton 😂)
Sights to see absolutely but the problem was that we had a guide obviously in a hurry giving few relevant explanations, and speaking a more than approximate French. No time to breathe everything was visited in hurry, it ruined the experience
Our bus drivers were again great, thanks to fast arrival Karnaktempel experienced with few people and was really great. Afterwards Valley of the Kings in the burial chambers many people under a oppressive atmosphere and some only accessible with additional admission, our guide may have earned something extra 🤷 After approaching through barren deserts and mountain scenery, Luxor is already worth a trip. All in all again a nice trip. Gladly again with the provider, with the experience gained we will stick to the planned program on next trips.
A great day, Tarek was a very good guide and AZ company organized our day very well, it was very good, I recommend
This tour from Hurghada to Luxor was just fantastic, and I can only recommend it. From start to finish, everything was superbly organized, so our trip to Egypt's most impressive historical sites went smoothly, comfortably and unforgettable. Comfortable & modern transport The day started early in the morning when we were picked up from our hotel on time. The minivan (model 2025) with 13 seats was new, very clean and only manned by 8 people, which allowed a pleasant group size. The seats were extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly and the driver was very professional and safe on the road. The long journey flew by! First stop: The majestic Karnak Temple Our first stop in Luxor was the Karnak Temple, and it was simply impressive! The huge columns, the enormous statues and the detailed hieroglyphics took us straight to the time of the Pharaohs. Our Egyptologist as a tour guide was extremely competent and inspired us with exciting explanations of the history and architecture of the temple. Especially impressive was the Great Column Hall with its gigantic columns! Valley of the Kings – A look into the past Then we went to the famous Valley of the Kings, a real highlight! We visited three impressive tombs decorated with colorful, amazingly well-preserved murals. Our guide explained to us the importance of the hieroglyphics and the burial rituals of the pharaohs. The tomb of Ramses III was particularly impressive – a true masterpiece of ancient Egyptian art! Hatshepsut Temple – The Power of a Queen The next stop was the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel built into the rocks. The story of this mighty pharaoh was fascinating, and the ornate reliefs of the temple were simply impressive.
Early in the morning at 05 o'clock we were picked up at the hotel and we were lucky that the tour consisted of only 4 people. The drivers were top, super friendly and very attentive. On the way we stopped at a "cafe" where you could get a coffee for a lot of money and also for the toilet you held out your hand. Arriving in Luxor, our German-speaking guide who was to accompany us during the day joined us and the sightseeing started. We were still quite early but an hour later the crowds invaded Luxor. We were happy that we were just a small group. The guide guided us through the temples and the facilities but unfortunately there was little time for our own explorations. At noon we treated ourselves to the "Nile Cruise" for 10€. Cruise is exaggerated....It was actually just a translation to the other bank of the Nile. This cruise can be safely saved. Lunch, on the other hand, was really great and very plentiful, overlooking the Nile. Very nice. The sightseeing tour continued into the Valley of the Kings. In the end it was a great day, although exhausting but very worth seeing. Only with the typical Egyptian "hand-holding for everything" you have to come to terms. We were back at the hotel on time around 8pm. In summary you can say that it was worth it and also affordable for just under 80€.
We embarked on a long day in authentic Egypt and didn’t know we would end the day with friends. We have grown together wonderfully as a group, which of course makes such experiences even more intense. We owe this mainly to Salim. He included us in his descriptions in a wonderfully humorous way, which made Egyptian history tangible up close. We had a great time at all destinations and felt very safe on the ride in between thanks to our drivers. Salim, too, has learned something wonderful: In Germany they say: Potatoes on the one! 😁 And in Egypt, we now say: Salim and this trip to one!
