Luxor Private Day Tour From Hurghada

A bit on the expensive side, but Nubi (our knowledgeable tour guide) and Mohammed (experienced driver) made up for it. We had a great day in Luxor learning about ancient Egypt!

Hoda was your personal tour guide throughout the whole day in our trip to Luxor. She was really kind and always willing to help us. The tour operator was amazing as well as our private car arrived on time and we reached Luxor super quick! Definitely would recommend Hoda and the tour operator again

Very good experience with lady Hoda Kamel as guide, she provided us with great and interesting stories both as Egyptian specialist and het life experience from having lived in the area. Visited Karnak, Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut temple with plenty of time to roam and take photos, crossed the Nile by boat and had dinner in a small, authentic, very pleasent local restaurant, visited some interesting shops.

Our driver Khalid was prompt, very friendly and helpful. Khalil our tour guide for the day was waiting for us at the Karnak temple and proceeded to give us a tour explaining the site and significance as we went. What an amazing place! We then went to Valley of the Kings, incredible to be there. Khalil was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable. The whole day was an experience not to be forgotten and would recommend anyone to take the opportunity.

MAT arranged a comprehensive day away from Hurghada for us to Luxor. The detail and execution of the day was superb with an excellent driver and a very knowledgeable guide. they were able to pack in a great deal in the time available and yet at no time did we feel rushed or pressured to leave any attraction. Perhaps the coffee stop en rout to Luxor was a bit of a rip-off (£15 for a packet of biscuits and two coffees) but overall this was a great experience and one we will remember for the right reasons.

Fantastic day with privat transport picked up at our hotel (right on schedule) from hurghada to luxor. Arrived there we were welcomed by charming tour guide Samar who showed us all the sites and explained everything very well in English. Thank you for a great day!

We had a brilliant tour with Hoda and our nice drivers. Hoda has excellent English and fantastic knowledge of all the sites in Luxor. I would recommend you add on Luxor Temple and the private sailboat ride.

We had an amazing time. Everything was done as planned and as advised. The communication between the rep and Tour Manager Sarah Ali was great, clear and very professional and timely. Pick up was at 5.30am as advised. We paid $25pp extra to visit Luxor temple. We were travelling with an infant which was free. We didn't feel rush, we were appointed two drivers for the whole day and they took turns. Additionally we had a guide that was very knowledgeable and spoke English really well "Abdullah". Since we had a lot of things to do in one day He gave us the highlights for each site without going into much details but it was expected as we had many other places to visit and we also wanted free time to explore and take pictures. The lunch was amazing...local Egyptian cuisine across the Nile. This was a great trip, all private in a very comfortable mini bus with AC. Perfect during this Covid times and with a toddler that needs patience and more time to get around in a stroller or being carried. Anyone travelling with a toddler should take this option but be conscious that is a very long day even for an adult as we were dropped off as expected around 9pm local time as the driver is around 4hrs each way from Urghada to Luxor. I will fully repeat this trip again and even stay one more day in Luxor once my toddler is older and do a hot air balloon after He is 5 years old. Great experience. Thank you

We had a day tour from Hurgada to Luxor with our wonderful tour guide Naama. We saw some of Luxor’s most famous sights. Naama was able to tell us everything about the sights we visited and she was able to answer all of our questions with enthusiasm and without hesitation. Highly recommended tour. The transfer by a comfortable car makes driving long distances much more pleasant.

Our tour guide was Samah Ahmed. It was a great day. We saw a lot and had fun! A day we will never forget.

We participated a one day private trip from Hurghada area to Luxor. We were fully satisfied with our guide, Mohi (If I write his name correctly). He was knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and ready to share every information we wanted to or might have wanted to know about the sightseeings. He was funny and protective during our tour. The driver was polite, discrete, trustful and he adjusted the air condition whenever we requested during our ride. All in all we were fully satisfied with the services we received.

Booked this private trip to Luxor from El Gouna with 3 other friends and had a fantastic day. Our drivers were very prompt both on arrival to pick us up and throughout the rest of the days itinerary. Once we got to Luxor, our tour guide, Mahmoud, was extremely knowledgeable about the history surrounding all the cultural sites. He was extremely kind, funny, and easy to talk to, and made the entire experience go very smoothly. We were given a ton of interesting information about each site we went to and then were given ample free time after the explanation to walk and look around for ourselves. If you’re at all interested in seeing some beautiful Egyptian historical sites, I’d highly recommend this trip!

Private Tour from our hotel in Hurghada to Luxor. Visited various places in Luxor with our own, private guide Mohamed Ewida. Mohamed knew all the good places and really made it an awesome experience that day! Highly recommended!

Upon arrival at our hotel the Premier Le Reve in Sahl Hasheesh (south of hurghada) we were told by the TUI representative that they did not do any excursions to Luxor. So I searched on the internet and came across Marsa Alam Tours doing a private day trip tour to Luxor. I booked online via there website which was very easy, they sent confirmation of the booking and the trip tickets via email. They also had a WhatsApp contact to message for any questions or queries. On the day of the trip we were picked up by our driver named Islam just after 5.30am from the hotel lobby area. Throughout the trip he was very polite and courteous. Stopping for a break half way on the outbound and inbound journey. He is a very experienced driver and knew all the roads very well. The drive with him was very comfortable. The journey to Luxor was very scenic, allowing us to view the local life along the Nile. When we arrived in Luxor we were greeted by Hoda, the tour guide. She spoke very good English and her wealth of Egyptian history knowledge throughout the tour was invaluable. She tailored the trip to our needs and was extremely respectful. She took us to a lovely restaurant next to the Nile for lunch. She was very patient when we explored the various sites. We also went on a boat trip on the Nile, which was optional but Hoda easily arranged this when we decided to add this to our itinerary. She is a wonderful local guide and I said before she has a plethora of knowledge on all the historic sites. My personal message to anyone reading this is that this trip will provide you with life long amazing memories. Please do not hesitate to book with Marsa Alam Tours as they provided this trip, which was far better than any of the TUI ones we were offered. So good that I’ve told my family and friends already, who are keen to visit Egypt. I’ve uploaded a couple of pictures that for sure a tiny glimpse of how spectacular our trip was. This tour was simply amazing. Everything was well organised and the staff were service minded and helpful. The food that was served was really good but the most exiting thing during the tour, except all the tombs and the monuments, was our boat ride with The New Titanic cross the Nile. The best thing with the tour was our amazing guide Hoda. She is an expert egyptologist and was very helpful during our tour. She was also very funny and our kids loved her.

We had a long but great day. It was a very smooth day with everything organised to perfection. Hoda prepared a special Nile river lunch which we really enjoyed. Thank you for a fun time

Picked up at 5 at our hotel, by 2 friendly drivers. Arrived at Luxor and our guide was Mohammed was waiting on us. He speaks very good Dutch and is very passionate about the Egyptian history. It was very hot, but we had a very interesting day. Thank you Mohammed, we've enjoyed it very much!

The driver Yessar was reliable and friendly. The guide Jacqueline was knowledge and responsible. We visited Karnak temple, papyrus shop, the Valley of Kings and Al Deir Al Bahari temple in 7 hours. It was excellent.

Logistically, it all made sense. We had a nice day-tour. However, we had explicitly asked and paid for a Dutch-speaking guide (because they offer that). Via Whatsapp we were notified if we wanted an English-speaking guide. No, I don't. What gets into the van in Luxor?...an English speaking guide. With zero communication. If you choose the NL version via their website, the price is Euro 96. NL-guide costs Euro 35 extra (unclear if that is per person, or for the two of us). A lot of discussion. So in total we would have to pay Euro 192 with English speaking guide, but they want $ 260 from us. Annoying handling. In the Valley of the Kings you are asked to visit the most beautiful tombs (apparently not in the tour) for which you still have to tick off 36 Euros per person in cash. That we also had a blown tire on the way back we forgive them, can happen to anyone.

We had a nice almost new 8 person van for our 3rd. The 2 drivers were very friendly. The Guide spoke very good Dutch, and has told passionately, and showed us everything. Lunch at an authentic restaurant was tasty and cozy. In a word, a Top Day for us!!

The start is tough: being ready for the long journey at 5:00 am, but we enjoyed it very much. Sunrise in the desert, much seen of the land during the car ride. Very nice and committed driver Ismail. Were allowed to listen to our own music on his spotify and he talked a bit about the country and his family. After arriving in Luxor we were met by our guide Mansor. Visit to the Karnak temple, with fun and interesting explanations. Then via a ferry to the other side of the Nile. After a good lunch we head to the Valley of the Kings. Mansor gave good options to visit tombs, some of which have to be paid extra. It is remarkable how the hieroglyphs in the tombs are still of such good quality, full of colors and details. Really special. Then on to the monument of Hatshepsut, the female Pharaoh, with a special story. And then another trip home. It was a special day. Big thanks to our guide Mansor and driver Ismail.

The day itself went well. Good Dutch guide. We had booked a private tour, but unfortunately there were 4 other people on the bus. This wasn't discussed with us. Full day program so we were very close to the various sights. Afterwards a lot of hassle about the money because we still had to pay for a private tour when we didn't have it. Threats were sent to our heads. So very high costs for a regular group tour. We would not recommend it.

We booked a private tour to Luxor from our hotel in Marsa Alam. Pick-up was at 4 a.m. and they didn't show up without warning. From the hotel reception we called and were told that that day could not be that if we wanted to be the next day. The next day another early morning and here they came to pick us up. The tour was as expected but the food was in a bad and very crappy restaurant. The guide was fine although it repeated a little and got a little heavy. The tour in calesa totally dispensable.

The day was wonderful. We were picked up on time at the hotel and drove to Luxor, very nice ride, much better than a full bus ride. In Luxor we were welcomed by Hoda (thanks again!) and started at the Valley of the Kings and the Temples, very interesting insights, beautiful pictures and great experiences. The food was delicious and the Nile ride was very nice. Thanks again to Hoda for the beautiful tour of Luxor!

Very satisfied with this tour - it's a long sit from Hurghada but it's well worth it, and you'll also stop to stretch your legs along the way. To my great surprise we had a Dutch speaking guide, Mohammed Khalil, who knows a lot about Luxor, ancient Egypt and all the sights. We will definitely be back to see everything else Luxor has to offer! Thank you Mohammed!

The tour was well arranged, everything as agreed, picked up / returned neatly on time and our wishes were taken into account, very fine, definitely recommended! Special were the 3 drivers and another guide, while there were four of us, but well it is Egypt and we had a nice spacious van
