We did an one day excursion to pyramids and museum at Cairo, followed by an one day Luxor excursion with kings valley, Ramses and Karnak temples and Nilo river private cruise. Amazing Egyptologists as private guides for both days, great private drivers/transports, very good 5* hotel at Cairo, great restaurants, all very organised and punctual! We really recommend! Serious travel company!

I cannot recommend this tour company enough. Had a issue had to reschedule without any cost. The guide Harby was fantastic. His knowledge, patients and warm manner was exceptional. The tour was a private trip to luxor which was another off the bucket list.

With a lot of joy, I can report this trip and our host were amazing. For people scared of being ripped off like me, or that they take you to certain places you dont want to go, that is not the case. The guide was kind, professional and knowledgeable, the locations were unreal. The food and the culture were fabulous. I have no problems saying five out of five. Safe, kind, and thoughtful, even the driver deserves a medal!

Super great private excursion to Luxor with the family. Everything worked out great and we had a super tour guide with Naschaat. So even for our son Tino, no questions remained unanswered. He responded wonderfully to the boy and answered all questions. We were able to take our time and look at everything at our own pace. Without time pressure, as is often common with a group trip. This was already our second excursion with Memnon Reisen and it was just as great as the first excursion to Cairo a year ago. We would book Memnon Reisen again and again, because you know in advance that everything will work out just as you imagined it. Many thanks for that!

Now everyday life has us back and the good intentions to write a review right after we got home unfortunately did not work out. We had vacationed at the Imperial Shams Hotel in Safaga in September and thought about visiting Luxor. However, we did not want to take the day trip with many people in a large tour bus and looked for an alternative on the internet. In doing so, we came across Memnon Reisen, who promised a private day trip with high-quality vehicles, good drivers, and a German-speaking Egyptologist. That sounded good and the contact via WhatsApp was immediately answered in good German. We then asked for an Egyptologist who spoke well and we then settled on 09/25/26. Well, we were not disappointed. We were picked up by 2 drivers ahead of schedule at 5:30 AM and taken to Luxor. In Luxor, the Egyptologist Mr. Nashaat Obaid Saad, called Nash for short, joined us and it turned out that we had an absolute expert. We discussed which sights were authentic and which were just made for tourists. That is how we set the daily schedule to get to know the real Egypt. He always guided us to all the sights in such a way that there was hardly any crowd at that time and we were able to experience everything in peace. Nash explained everything without overwhelming one with numbers, etc. We only paid for the excursion to the drivers on the return trip. We were safely back at the hotel for dinner. A great and relaxed day trip for the three of us. Very happy to do it again with Memnon Reisen. I would go on a trip with Nasch again anytime!!

It was simply great, from the pickup to the return transport everything 100%. We also had a hot air balloon ride included, that was a dream. Our private guide plus driver were so nice, took so much time, explained everything in detail but also gave us time to explore on our own. The hotel where we were accommodated for one night was also super. A bit older but very clean, the breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. All in all great, no hidden costs, no tourist trap!!!! On the contrary, Osama our guide even explained to us exactly how to deal with pushy vendors. We are planning to come back to Hurghada next year and will definitely book the trip to Cairo through Memnon Reisen then.

Super 2-day tour with a top-notch tour guide just for us

After our wonderful excursion to Cairo, we decided to also book the private excursion to Luxor with Memnon Reisen. What can we say, this day was also simply impressive! The two drivers, Michael and Chico (?), picked us up at the hotel promptly at 4 o'clock, drove us reliably to and through Luxor and back, and were always in the mood for a joke. In Luxor, we were picked up by guide Nash(aat), an incredibly intelligent and humorous person! He speaks perfect German, is a professor, and has overwhelming expertise in Egyptology! We are still speechless! Right from the start, Nash made suggestions for the day that, e.g., sometimes deviated from the usual tourist attractions, but he always left the choice up to us. We are just glad we followed his suggestions, which meant, for example, we had the Luxor Temple almost to ourselves. Through his enormous background knowledge, Nash also gave us an insight into his own research and theories on the history of Egypt. He has also published these in numerous books! Extremely interesting! We can only recommend taking the tours with guides; otherwise, you miss out on far too much great information and details that you would otherwise walk past without noticing... In addition to all the historical information, Nash also told us a lot about the country and its people today, so we returned home with a different perspective on Egypt. We went on three excursions: and everything was perfect, well beyond our expectations. The first was the private guided tour with a driver of the city of Luxor: our driver Akram and our guide who was also named Akram (I hope I am not butchering their names) were very attentive and we were fascinated by the information provided by our guide. The latter completely adapts the day to your desires and advises you wonderfully well regarding the sites to visit. It should be noted that during this visit, I forgot my phone in the restroom during our first visit. I was able to geolocate it and our guide as well as the agency did everything possible to be able to get it back to me at the hotel within two days. Another huge thank you to you for everything. Our second excursion was a day of diving: we were lucky enough to see dolphins. All the staff were super friendly and the dives were great. Our last excursion was a trip to see the dolphins in a private package. Our guide Ibrahim and the boat pilot Karim were exceptional. Karim knew how to set the mood with some very good music and had a good humor and a smile that make the difference. Our guide Ibrahim is of rare kindness and humanity. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, dugongs, and to go snorkeling and swimming in an exceptional place. We can only recommend the Memnon Voyage agency and all the people who work for this agency. It was a wonderful excursion; you are picked up from the hotel very early by a private bus, but it is definitely worth it. Everyone is very friendly, the tour guide spoke great German and explained it in a way that also interested my 12-year-old son.

The time on-site is very well managed; we had Elia as a guide who was truly captivating. The driver was also very professional. We had a very informative tour of the historical sights of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Our tourist guide Markus spoke super German, knew perfectly and responded to our questions and wishes. He was also super helpful in passing through the obligatory bazaars at the sights and explained to us the tricks used to sneak tips at the highlights. Now we have a long and eventful day behind us. In the modern private minibus it was very comfortable as a family. Cold drinks (water and Coke) went on the house. Two drivers accompanied us all day (from 3am) and split the long distance between the hotel on the Red Sea and Luxor. Traffic in Egypt takes some getting used to for Germans, but our drivers have mastered it confidently. We drive very well felt in good hands. If the children have already left primary school, this tour is highly recommended to families!

We have pre-booked two tours online from home. Each private tour as a family of three. Once from Hurgada by car to Luxor and once by flight to Cairo. We are delighted with the ease of handling and the friendliness of all “carers”. We had a great time and always felt like we were in competent hands. Our day trip from Hurghada to Luxor was an unforgettable experience – thanks mainly to our great guide Markus! With his enormous knowledge, passion for the history of Egypt and humor, he has brought every station to life. Whether in the Karnak Temple, the Memnon Colossi, the Valley of the Kings or the Temple of Hatshepsut – Mark explained everything in an exciting and understandable way and always took time to answer questions. The relaxed Nile cruise and the delicious local food were a crowning achievement. Even our son's food allergy was perfectly considered. Clear recommendation – especially with Markus as guide!

We booked an unforgettable day trip from Soma Bay to Luxor with Memnon Reisen last week with just 24h lead time in the evening at 22:00h. After contacting us via WhatsApp, we received a friendly and competent response from Ahmed within a few minutes. Unimaginable in Germany, Memnon Reisen has planned the entire trip completely including tickets, lunch and Nile ride and our guide, also Ahmed, has also responded to our wishes. Our guide Ahmed Arman, Egyptologist and historian, has imparted so much of his incomparable knowledge entirely in German. It couldn't have been better. We saw so many sights, the program was perfect. Thank you for visiting the Luxor Temple instead of Karnak Temple at the beginning. Our two shuttle van drivers also did a great job and drove very professionally. They were super friendly and made us feel safe at all times. So is the boatmaster on the Nile. The whole program was perfect and we would recommend it anytime. Small improvement suggestion: Card payment would be advantageous, especially for a larger rice group.

That was a successful thing from the start. Communication with Memnon Reisen ran via WharsApp in German, it all worked out. It was a wonderful trip. Akram drove great, we never had any reservations. Malek, our guide in Luxor, was great, very nice and friendly and patient, good-humored and always eager to do us right, also with a huge knowledge. It's nice that he speaks perfect German, because we could ask him anything that came to mind, whether it was "Old Egypt" or "Egypt today". The program was well planned, and that we would have too little time in Karnak later, we did not know, otherwise we would have eaten faster ;-). Food was also very good, by the way. The only thing we missed: it was on the Internet, we would also drive on the Nile through small places to see a little Egyptian life, and that was completely missing. It's too bad. Otherwise: 100 points :-)
