Hurghada: Quad Bike Ride Along The Red Sea Cliffs

Great experience, had so much fun! The only downside was being picked up at 7.15am and not arriving to the start location until 9.15am for a 35min journey from our hotel. We spent two hours on a bus there and back which was excessive, just so they could save money collecting guests from different hotels. We had upgraded to a private guide for the quad biking so paid a lot more than others and spent 4hours travelling there and back.

Quads were good, terrain was good tour guide was brilliant. But it does state you get water and you definitely don't get water.

From start to finish this was an amazing trip. The guides were insane so friendly happy and great taking a photo shoot down by the sea. Ismaail was just fabulous and very experienced

Never have I experienced such a boring atv ride… The pickup from the hotel was on time and the driver was really nice and kind. The tour itself disappointed us. We could only ride in a line, and stay in line. The guide had an angry face all ride and wasn’t nice at all. We like adventure and to cross a little bit with the atv, at least have some freedom. You have 2 stops in the ride, the first stop is at the sea and you have a nice viewpoint. You ride in a straight line to the first stop that’s not even 30 min ride. And after that you return to the start also in a straight line. The second stop wasn’t necessary and not a good viewpoint, we were standing next to trash and the guide didn’t say anything he just starting texting on his phone. This stop is just to fill the time… the only positive thing is that we got to ride an atv, but never have I experienced a ride like this. If you like easy and short ride then maybe it’s something for you. But for me it disappointed

Great quad ride through the sand dumes to beach, so much better than the last safari I did in hugharda which was small quad ride then safari to village in mountains

We had a great experience with the quad tour! Everything was well organized, the staff were friendly and professional, and most importantly — they were honest and didn’t try to overcharge us. Just note that the scarf and goggles are not included in the price (they cost around 10 EUR extra), but that’s clearly explained before the tour starts. Overall, a fantastic activity and definitely worth doing in Egypt!

First, let’s start with the pickup. The driver himself was nice. The other two staff he picked up didn’t say two word to me. The other guests he picked up all spoke German, and unfortunately, none of the staff made any effort to translate for me. When one of the workers was giving updates (I assume about where we were or how far away we were), nothing was ever explained to me in English. Even something as simple as typing it into a translation app and showing me would have made a difference. I felt ignored and out of place, and that feeling pretty much continued throughout the entire experience. When we arrived at the location to ride the quads, I couldn’t help but notice that I was the only person of my complexion there and the only one who seemed to be completely overlooked. The workers were very attentive to the other guests, fixing their scarves, chatting with them, and taking photos for them, while I was left out of everything. Ironically, I’m American, and tipping is a big part of our culture. I always make sure to tip well 20% is the norm to us. The people they were doting on were clearly from countries where tipping isn’t as common. So when it came time for tips at the end, the staff waited on those guests hand and foot, only for nearly none of them to tip. Meanwhile, I was the first one to put money in the tipping jar, which I couldn’t help but find a bit funny in the end. Honestly they didn’t deserve a tip out of me, but it’s almost like a habit for me. The drop-off was also very frustrating. It took forever because at every stop, the driver and workers would get out and ask for tips. If the amount given wasn’t enough, they’d insist people get more money and tip again, which dragged out the ride back and made the whole thing uncomfortable. To top it off, they don’t provide helmets, which felt unsafe considering how bumpy the ride is. I tried to be extra cautious, but it definitely made me uneasy. Overall, it was not a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of other excursions that make all guests feel welcome, safe, and respected. This just wasn’t one of them.

Brilliant experience! Great fun for the whole family. We took our 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter. We doubled up on the quads due to their ages. They absolutely loved the experience. We took off across the desert with the mountains in the distance and headed towards the sea. It was brilliant, we split into two groups, fast group and slow group. I went in the fast group with my daughter and my partner went in the slow group with my son. Both groups were equally as good, with the obvious difference the speed. We always met up at the same point. Once at the sea the guides helped take our photos. Afterwards we set off in the fast and slow groups, for the second half my son came with me in the fast group, much to the disappointment of my daughter! Again it was excellent! The final stop off was the sunset as the sun dropped behind the mountains. The guides were brilliant, made sure the groups were all okay and able to keep pace and made sure everyone was safe! Overall a great trip for the family and a brilliant experience!

really fun experience and had 2 stops to take photos by the beach and watching the sunset which was lovely. also received free cold water at the centre- deffo recommend!

The pick up was fine and we were put in a small group of 6 including one child! We arrived at our destination at Makadi Bay and was met by guide who took us to a meeting room. We were all then asked to purchase head scarves and goggles which were 4 euros per item ( 8 euros each)! Then we were taken to the quads and asked if anyone had never driven a quad and a lady ( who had a young child with her) said she hadn’t. She was told quickly how it works then after being offered safety hats which I and the young child took, we were off! We rode across very hard and rough sand which was extremely difficult! The young sole guide went fast as one of the group was racing and bantering with him! He didn’t stop for anyone to catch up or check we was ok! I am an experienced rider but found the terrain very challenging as the hard bumps were difficult to navigate! My helmet knocked my goggles which in knocked my glasses making it hard to see! The stop at the bay had stunning views and was a chance to get over the ride and prepare for the return which I wasn’t looking forward to and I usually love riding quads!The others walked down a steep slippery slope to get photos on a ledge but I didn’t feel safe enough with the young guide. We set off again and stopped after 5 mins on a beach where the guide picked up 2 hermit crabs to scare for fun (and he didn’t return them)! We got back after another awfully bumpy and hard ride where I almost fell off and my partner gripped so tight he had blisters! I have not been so relieved to see a main road! We got back thankfully and was offered free water! Fortunately our driver arrived after 10 mins! After talking to another guide he said the quads only go to that area which is hard due to the climate and many people have had accidents! He said the months of November to April are when locals quad! It’s put me off dessert quads for the foreseeable

As experienced quad riders, we were thrilled to see the option to choose between a fast or normal-paced group and going with the fast group was the best decision we made. The ride was exhilarating from start to finish, with a dynamic route that took us tearing through rugged mountain trails all the way to the sea. The pace was perfect for those who love a bit of adrenaline, yet it still felt safe and well-organized. Once we reached the coast, we had a chance to pause, soak in the breathtaking scenery, and catch our breath before heading back. The contrast between the dusty mountain paths and the serene seaside view made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bit more speed and adventure on their quad tour!

Great trip free transfers wear trousers engines get very hot on your legs. Amazing guides helped wife who was worried

Picked up from outside our hotel complex ( as the hotel does not allow the taxi to come in the hotel complex) Was given a brief talk on how to use the Quads, then we all got on our bikes. We followed our leader, had a 5/10 minute ride around to get use to the bike, then we went out into the desert, had about a 30/40 mins riding the stopped by the sea. Ahmed was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, he took loads of photos of us on the quads and at the beach. We then rode for about another 30 mins then stopped in the middle of the desert for more photos. We were out for the full 2 hours, we were then offered a camel ride but we declined that as we had already done one in Cairo and wasn’t something I wanted to repeat. I would totally recommend buying the photos as there were so many. Will definitely e back next year.

We got a private driver which took 35 minutes from the hotel he was very lovely and spoke good English. When we got there we waited about half an hour before getting on the av bike we paid for double but we got on a single one which said in capital (DO NOT CARRY PASSENGERS) we stopped 3 times which took about 2 hours. If you’re faster and more confident you go on a separate better route. They took pictures on your phone for free which was good. You get a bottle of water at the end of the trip. Over all the trip was good apart from the single av which we paid for double

Positive, nice trip through the desert to a beach Our ATV was in good condition and quite easy to manoeuvre. Ride back to the Center at sunset was sensational! One star less for the Organisation. Pick up van arrived 20 minutes late. At the ATV Center all seemed to be rushed, no instructions, no overview of the trip etc. Also at the beach, no information how long we would stay. The free bottle of water was provided at the very end of the trip when we arrived again at the ATV Center.

The company started by whatsapping us to pay an additional $5 per person for picking us up from the hotel which was wrong. They never mentioned it on the booking. The person who whatsapped me insulted me when I was upset about the ride not been private and why we were been charged. Then their customer service was the worst we experienced in Egypt. They also didn't give us our camel ride claiming that the camel or its rider was sick. I reported them to Viator who refunded the $5 per person back to our account. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are thieves. Viator treated us well. Rubbish company

Avoid at all costs – Total scam Hurghada: Sea and Mountains ATV Quad Bike Tour in Egypt was an absolute disaster and a complete scam from start to finish. First of all, no eye protection was provided, and we were told we had to pay extra — something that was never mentioned during booking. Everywhere else we've gone quad biking, googles and helmets are standard and included for safety. Not here. That alone should have been a red flag. We were told water was included, but after a long 2-hour wait in the desert heat (post pick-up), we were handed bottles mid-ride — and then forced to pay for them, being told “only the water at the office is free”. By the time we got back to the office, it had been over 3 hours and we were already dehydrated. A total bait-and-switch. To make matters worse, they took photos during the ride (without telling us pricing), so we didnt agree on price, and when we followed up to purchase them, they claimed the photos were lost. Either they deleted them or just didn't want to deal with us because we questioned the cost. It was an absolutely disgusting experience that ruined our first holiday in Egypt. Sadly, this wasn't the only scam we encountered — we do not recommend this company or tourism in Egypt at all. It felt like every step of the way, someone was trying to rip us off.

The pick up was late , the preparation was very careless , we were the first group to leave and just went straight to the beach on a very very bumpy path , the guide was very impersonal , and then we waited on the beach for around 30 min for the other groups to get there , came straight back ! There are much better companies to go with around hurghada would not recommend This one

Experience very good. Exactly what we expected, staff on site were friendly. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by the driver begging everyone he dropped off for a tip. He got out the van, stood near the door and said ‘tip’. A few of us refused to give him a tip and he said ‘what’ aggressively. As a comparison, the driver that drove us 5 hours each way to and from Luxor didn’t ask for a tip. He got one as it wasn’t expected.

Very good quad safari better than hurghada ones , sand dunes and coast on them for just over 1 hour and proper speed , jumps views Ahmed quad guide very good

Absolutely rubbish, the staff disrespected me. After I paid them in full they thought it was okay to tell us we are not going. The quad bikes are not maintained, they are dirty and broken. The one I rode had bent control arms from a previous accident and it could not maintain a straight line due to damage. When I informed staff that the bike was on was bad, they disrespected me even further. They had to get their boss involved, I had to swear people to get my trip. I would not reccomend this business to anybody, especially as a tourist. Stay clear of these people.

I liked this trip because there were no extra hassle. We just ride the ATVs and stopped in nice places. The guide was great and look after if sombody had problems and also presented great places. The route was interesting because there were some uphills and downhills but unfortunately route had in many places deep traverse grooves which made riding hard. I had given five stars if somebody had told that we go also to nice beach were we spent quite a while. Now I had not my swimming gear with me.

Great fun quad biking, guides were attentive and fun. They split the group into a slower pace and fast pace session. Bikes were in good condition.

Warning: Very Dangerous and Poorly Organized Tour – Please Choose Another Provider! I strongly advise against booking this tour. During the ride, we had an accident where one of the quads flipped over. Thankfully, it wasn’t more serious, but the organizer's response was completely inadequate—the woman involved only received a brief "sorry." This is absolutely unacceptable! Before the tour, we received no safety instructions or guidance on how to operate the quad safely. We weren’t even told where we were going or what to expect. Other groups overtook us, driving on more exciting routes like climbing dunes, while we just took shortcuts and ended up at the sea. There, we had to wait for a long time without any information about how long the break would last—it was extremely boring. During the break, I politely asked if we could reorganize the groups because there were clearly fast, medium, and slow drivers. With around 16 customers and 5 guides, it would have been easy to split the groups based on driving speed. Unfortunately, this reasonable request was completely ignored. Additionally, the tour was advertised as a 3-hour experience, but we were only out for 2 hours. In summary: no safety briefing, poor organization, dangerous situations, disrespectful handling of accidents, and the promised duration was not met. I strongly recommend choosing a more responsible provider.

Great experience. The guide split us into 2 groups ( fast and slower) which was great for all. No hassle to buy photos or any equipment which was a nice relief. Great time going around the desert and visiting the sea. The guide was great and took some great photos of us.

I give this review because the duration wasn t 3 / 4 hours as described but around 1 hour and a half . And my son wanted to do more of course we been brought back after 1 hour and 40 minutes sadly .

An exhilarating experience - my husband's favourite trip of our whole holiday (& we did a lot!). NOTE: you will get very dusty so wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Helmets were optional but would recommend wearing one.

Fantastic experience, no messing about and great to get no hassle at any point during the trip. As others have mentioned, just bring sunglasses and scarf. We chose this one deliberately to avoid the Bedouin tea party, going by the coast is spectacular, highly recommended.

Excellent quad bike trip. Couldn’t recommend more. Amazing coastal bike ride with sunset view. The organisers are very attentive and took care of all your needs. Really enjoyed this activity. Highlight of the Egypt trip. ❤️

The program is very cool but not for beginners. It’s an extreme sport. The only issue was the fact that they didn’t say in the description that a scarf is mandatory and charged us 4,5€ for each scarf that easily can be found for 1€ in any store in Egypt.

Was good. Only took away 1 star because they had changed my pickup time to 15 min earlier and their message had not gone through. Luckily we were already on our way to the lobby but they kept texting telling us to hurry up and were becoming a little rude about it. Other than that, it was a nice afternoon out.

The route goes through really beautiful landscape, but the track is 90% hard and bouncy and the guide leads the whole group so fast, that the ride itself is the only thing you can focus on. Also the ATV had a lack of torque which make it bad operable in slower sections. I would go on a desert safari again, but probably not with this company and not this route. 2 stars for the sceneries we enjoyed during the several stops, 1 star for a well organized hotel transport :)

The tour guides were okay but the organisation is horrible. Very unfriendly and bad reachable after booking (after surprising me with charging extra when you're heavier than 75K). Also the guys don't need to be commanding as they did when not explainjng how to ride the quad. Again, some tour guides were fun, but organisation very unfriendly and bad service. If you wanna book, be strict and clear to them that you don't appreciate bad behaviour.
