Amazing experience our tour guide made everything better. She is the best. It was a long day but worth it. We had a lot of snacks and toilet breaks, very comfortable and the guide was explaining everything even with humour and it was funny, entertaining and very knowledgeable. The best tour I had so far in my life.

We had guides from get your guide Ahmed FTS was an amazing tour guide so much information on all the temples and the surrounding areas for us a lovely boat trip down the Nile and a lovely lunch at the crocodile cafe can't recommend him enough
The guide was extraordinary. We loved the monuments and the history. It was great. I recommend for sure
Nana was an amazing guide! So friendly and knowledgeable, she gave us all the information and made it so easy to understand. We were picked up at 3 am and it was a very long and hot day. But definitely worth!
Booked direct with FTS via WhatsApp. Communication was pretty good to get prices and availability. We had a small bus tour, we had 10 people in our group which was a nice number. To start, the best bit.... Nana, our local guide. A wonderfully engaging guide who told stories with gusto and a true passion for the history and people in it. If you get Nana, you will thoroughly enjoy Luxor and the Valley of the Kings! We happened to have 1st pick up from our hotel, so it was an early start at 3am, it was then 1.5 hrs before we had everyone on board and actually started the journey to Luxor from Hurghada. We didn't wait too long at the state checkpoint. The bus however, was older and small and very cramped. I'm not tall and my knees were pressed against the hard seat in front. Seats were fixed in a semi-recline which was also uncomfortable to just sit up. This was the worst part of the trip (but also accounts for a big part of the day with the 5-7 hrs on board for the main journeys with stops/pickups). The drivers could be a little more informative with information about journey times/stops/checkpoints so you know what to expect and when you are likely to have a toilet break. Final point to note - just be honest with the tour description! We had 2 separate stops to "nice toilets". Both of which are tourist shop traps - a spice store and an alabaster store. While we had plenty of time during our whole day and didn't feel too rushed, over 30mins at these eat into your day. Just tell it like it is. The Nile boat is mentioned as optional at €10pp. We did not feel pressured into this, but was a nice change to the cramped bus. Some of our party did not take the boat but stayed on the bus to get to the lunch stop. Lunch was adequate, small buffet offering. Toilets here weren't the best. Key takeaways: - Fingers crossed you get Nana as your guide (in photo) - Be prepared for a cramped bus - Expect to be taken to tourist shops - As everywhere in Egypt, toilets are hit and miss, always carry wipes/toilet roll and small notes (usually 20le) to use the loo. (Again might have been helpful for drivers to tell you this before getting off bus at the services.)
Guide was amazing, she was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about where she was showing us. A long hot day but very worth it.
The venues we visited were outstanding. The Tour guide Mohammed, is very knowledgable. The trip took 5 hours to get there. You get a 20 minute stop. We got picked up at 3:50am. Karnak Temple was great and Mohammed takes you a round and you get free time. We then got made to go to a spice talk. Not on the agenda and you have to sit through a sale pitch. Positive you get a free toilet here. We then got encouraged to take a Nile boat trip. It’s €10 adult €5 a child. They will take card. You get a drink. We was sold it give you more time the other side. It doesn’t and it wasn’t great. We then only got 2 minute at one venue, advertised for longer. But I think shorter due to the sales pitch talk we were forced to go too. We then went to valley of the kings. It’s incredible. You don’t get to pick the tombs, the guide does this. We then had to do another sales pitch. This time on stone. We was told it was the only place we could stop to get souvenirs, but I feel it’s because of the agreement of these places, with the tour guide. You get a toilet break here though. We then went to the only female pharaoh temple. But then your guide doesn’t take you around like other tour guides in the venue. After going through security, we got non stopped hassled by people trying to con us for tips. Even the security guard with a gun was involved. We didn’t stay long as we felt it was unsafe. This upset us a bit. The trip back took 4 hours. With a stop. You get given water, and a snack. You also get lunch in a buffet Restaurant, it’s amazing but did the job. It was a lifetime experience and Mohammed is very good. It just spoilt with the little extras taking up time we could have had at other venues and the experience at the last temple.
I wish that I could give this trip at least 7 stars !!! From the moment that we were picked up in Hurgarda until the moment that we were dropped off this was by far one of the best experiences. that we have ever had using a guide on holiday. We chose the Hurgarda to Luxor 2 day trip and this is definitely the best way to do it. Our guide was Fathy Elbolok and it felt like we were being led through ancient Egypt with all of the amazing stories and tales from the ancient days to the current excavations and finds. We did the Valley of the Kings and saw 5 tombs in total including the tomb and mummified body of Tutankhamun. Then Hapshetsup's Temple and the Colossus of Memnon. It was very hot (we were in August!) but water was provided and Fathy made sure that we stayed in the shade as much as possible and kept the local sellers from getting too close ... thank you Fathy. It was surprisingly quiet really but apparently August is the quiet month so we were very lucky. Also the trip was done on a Friday and this is a day off for the Egyptians which meant that it was particularly quiet. As we had chosen the 2 day tour we were then taken to our hotel for the night, Hotel Jolie Ville ... OMG it was gorgeous and right alongside the river Nile so we were in the infinity pool watch the boats and wildlife go past ... we are definitely going to go back to this hotel at some time in the future. That night we went for the Light and Sound show at Karnak Temple (transport was included) and were totally blown away by the show. We were escorted by Fathy again and he brought us water during the show as it was still warm. After breakfast we were picked up and taken to Habu Temple which in my opinion is by far the best for the original colours and history, then to Luxor Temple and finally to Karnak Temple. Lunch was provided on both days and Fathy looked after us all so well. He is an extraordinary knowledgeable guide and spoke to us in ways that we were all able to understand and learn from. He answered all of our questions and nothing was too much trouble for him. Make sure that you drink lots of water, wear hats and use lots of sunscreen as you don't realise just how much walking outside you actually do. I always book my excursions with GetYourGuide as the standard of trips and guides is usually of such a high standard and this one did not let us down. Thank you GetYourGuide and extra special thanks to Fathy.
Fantastic guide - Nana. Very knowledgeable on all locations and more. Lots of advice on the tricks market sellers play and what toilets to avoid! Would have liked lunch to have been on the bank of the River Nile as had done this previously.
From the moment we was picked up in the morning till dropped off everything was great. The bus drivers were friendly, always passing out waters giving people time to stop and never rushed anyone. Our tour guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable and showed us loads of things through the tour and explained and pointed out many things that we drove past onto the next destination.
What an amazing experience our tour guide was honestly the best she kept us safe and her knowledge was amazing , we deffo would do it again, all transfer and organisation was great
Nana and Khalido were great guides and very helpful. We loved the Karnak temple, valley of the kings was amazing , Hatshepsut was impressive but don’t need so long here. We visited in July at 40c so it was super hot, however they were really helpful managing the heat. My daughter was travel sick on the way and struggled with the heat but they were very understanding and helped her get better, Nana did everything she could to make her feel better. The whole team were very friendly and Nana is extremely knowledgeable and super fun and kept the group moving well. It’s a lot packed into one day. The boat trip along the Nile was really special.
Excellent day. A long day yes, but well worth it. Pick up from the hotel was on time(Big plus for me) It was 3am and we returned back to our hotel at 9pm. The whole team was excellent. We had 4 pick up points on the way, then we had 2 pitstops for toilet breaks and leg stretches. On the journey and through the day water was supplied free of charge. Met our guide Nana who was excellent all day. Such a smiley happy person. Loved the photo book she had. Told great stories. Loved all our stopping points, the Nile ride was great (could have done without the loud music) Food in the restaurant was ok. I don't like the stop of selling places, but that's how they make a little extra. Found the stone carving demonstration very cringey. The way they all said things at the same time, was like trained animals at a zoo! Whole day was great, team excellent.👍👏 Remember it is very very hot at the valley of the kings😅
The guys on the bus and the guides were absolutely fantastic nothing was to much trouble, looked after us all day
At Luxor was very beautiful but it was very HOT 🔆
It was an amazing day our tour guide was very good and knew her stuff
Really good guide but never got access into King Tuts tomb…they said our names were not included on the list...! Other than that brilliant..make sure you bring your own toilet paper.
An amazing once in a lifetime trip. We were apprehensive prior to this trip as we were taking our kids along (12 & 14) but the organisation and information provided by our guides on the day we needn't have worried. You get collected from your hotel and you travel to Luxor under your 'travel guide'. Ours was Khalid and he was great. When you get to Luxor you pick up the local guide who takes you round all the sites. Ours was Nahed Hsaher, she was amazing. So informative, her history was amazing, her local knowledge of Luxor was second to none and she was great with our kids. She took you step by step on what we were be doing next and what will be happening next. Being with the family she was constantly putting my mind at ease with the information she was providing. The sites themselves were all worth the heat and the long journey, they were out of this world. Ensure you have plenty of charge on phones and cameras because there are lots of photo opportunities. Your guides supply free water throughout the day (which is amazing), and take plenty of sun cream, hats etc as Luxor is a few degrees hotter than the coastal resorts you will go from. And finally take a little cash, there is an opportunity to catch a small boat across the Nile and purchase a few souvenirs. Like i said an amazing trip and i would recommend to anyone.
This was a very long day but worth it especially Karnak temple worth having a guide as otherwise you won’t understand what you’re looking at. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Loved the optional Nile boat ride and he let my daughters take it in turn to steer the boat. Lunch was nice. There is no shade at all in the valley of the kings without a large brim hat or umbrella you will struggle as the heat was intense I thought I would pass out.
Great experience Ahmed the tour guide did really well to cram so much into a day! The Valley of the Kings was
Aladdin is an extraordinary guide. With him I learned some principles of Egyptian writing. He knows English and German, which would help him to provide quality tourist assistance. And a personal aspect: he should be helped to overcome his social condition because he is a good teacher. Maybe more than his current social position offers.
Went with my boyfriend iy was really good
A very enjoyable day visiting the famous site around Luxor with a optional boat ride up the Nile with Ahmed our tour guide was great very knowledgeable . Be prepared for a long day if coming from hagudar. Snack and water provided also note pushy sales from venders
Excellent trip, well organised. Driver and guide were both great. Highly recommended. It’s a long day but well worth it.
To transport tourism in all governorates
Our tour guide Ahmad was a very friendly man who knows what he is talking about. A very nice guide who deserves a 5-star review. We had only one remark. The guide builds trust throughout the day, and at the stop directly after the Valley of the Kings, he brings you to the next stop where you can have “a drink included in the price.” There, he introduces you to a “new guide.” It starts out as a talk about different stones, and then the new guide takes you inside a building. Once inside, you notice it is actually just a shop. The doors close, you get your free drink, and they manipulate and pressure you into buying things, while your trusted guide is sitting on a couch with the other shop owners. This is not okay at all. After a long day of being treated like a source of money by everyone trying to scam you, you end up in a place like this—scammed with the help of the one person who should be helping you navigate a culture and city you don’t know.
such a beautiful country Egypt is, the temples are amazing. Luxor is amazing,
Khaled is an excellent guide, he knows a lot about ancient egipt. It’s a very complet trip, we love it.
My trip to Luxor was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Everything was well organized, starting with the drivers who were punctual and professional. A special thanks to our tour guide, Shanea, who made the experience unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke French fluently, and explained everything in a way that brought the history of Egypt and the Pharaohs to life. From the fascinating temples to the rich stories behind them, every moment was impressive. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Luxor
Wonderful trip to Luxor from Hurghada. The driver drove carefully, and Ana, the guide, was very knowledgeable and fun. Loved the boat ride across the Nile. Tasty lunch, and I got to see many things, including gazing stright into the eyes of King Tut that had been on my bucket list since I was a kid.
MTS at the hotel! Very good trip...valley of the kings, very long travelling but well worth going. Also a boat trip up the Nile.
Well organised trip, we visited 4 different historical sites. Optional boat trip on the river Nile and good lunch included. The only downside was that pick up of all passengers took a very long time from the different hotels/ areas. We were picked at 3am and the last person at 4.30am , same on the way back, which added 3 hours to our anyway long trip.
Long but great trip from Hurghada to see the highlights in Luxor. You start early and the driver speaks a vit of English. 2-3 rest stops on the way, note that toilets are paid (50 egp first and 20 second stop). We had a fantastic guide Ahmed who joined us already in Luxor. Take $10 pp addional cash if you want to go on an optional boat trip on the Nile, we enjoyed it (soft drinks included). Lunch was around noon, buffet style and very tasty, big selection. We were back in Hurghada around 7.30pm but that depends on traffic. All in all recommended.
After taking this trip I have been in touch with the operator FTS who have dismissed my complaint- not even discussing some of the points I raised. Disgusting. So the good part first - the monuments you see on this tour are amazing even given the early start. The bad- elements of this tour which are billed as optional simply aren’t. The Nile cruise which is billed as strictly optional was presented to the group as necessary as the traffic was bad in Luxor and otherwise we would be late for lunch. In effect it rendered the cruise compulsory (which of course had to then be paid for). We weren’t explicitly asked if this was ok with us. (See other reviews saying the same thing) Later we were told we could have a coffee and use a clean toilet - partly true- these facilities were at an alabaster shop where you had to sit through their sales pitch. Lastly on the way home the drivers picked off each couple in turn asking them to the front of the bus to sweet talk a tip out of them. Such a horrible atmosphere waiting for your turn. It’s clear to me that this is the score in Egypt and that tips and tourist traps are part and parcel of it all. However all of this could have been handled so differently. Going on an organised trip with a reputable company is a way I hope to avoid such things. I wrote to FTS directly and asked for the money back for the in no way optional cruise. They wrote back and said after a thorough investigation they had deemed that we were given the option. Case closed. You’ll see Luxor in all its glory on this trip, but the price will be you’ll feel uncomfortable and be conned at every chance. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
The Egyptian monuments were awesome. But the trip left a bad taste the mouth. On booking, the trip description made it clear the boat trip on the Nile was optional but the guide (Nana) said that taking the bus would take too long to get to the restaurant for lunch thus making it compulsory, obviously at an extra cost which we had no choice but to pay. She later promised that we could stop for a coffee and the toilet in fact we were driven to an alabaster shop where there was a toilet. Queue the hard sell. Again no escape. Later the drivers of the bus picked off each couple one by one asking them to come to the front of the bus and attempted sweet talk obviously with the aim of getting a tip. It’s Egypt im not so stupid as not to know the score but the point in booking an organised trip is precisely to avoid this kind of thing. Being held hostage and not given the choice is simply not ok.
Transportation didn’t show up, was told to be at reception 15 minutes before the pick up time, been waiting for over 2 hours, I asked reception if anyone had been to security and was turned away, nope no one had been. Driver was in contact with me and my partner but then all off a sudden stoped messaging us completely. We have lost out on our money and unsure if we will even get it back.
What an amzing exeperince!!! Couldn't thank enough FTS team for this fantastic trip. Everything was spot on from early hotel pick up to the drop off. We felt safe all the time, it was my gf 1st time in Egypt and she was worrying a bit but in the end she said she never felt so safe as with this team. Our driver was amazing and our guide Ahmed was fun and knowledgable guy. we had enough time for ourselves at Karnak and Valley of the kings. Free unlimited water during whole trip, tasty lunch, crisps and ice-cream-everything was included. Definitely greta value for money. I always try to support local business and these guys didn't disappointe. Will recommend them to everyone. Thank you for the amazing trip and great memories.
What a fantastic day visiting The Valley of the Kings. Our guide Nana was very knowledgeable and made the whole day fly by. She knew everything there is to know about the kings (and queen) in the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. She was also very funny and made the whole experience a lot of fun. Lunch was good in the Crocodile restaurant as was the boat trip on the Nile and snacks, water and ice creams were handed out during the day. It is a long day so be prepared for the heat and the long bus trips there and back. We travelled from Makadi Bay and it was roughly 5 1/2 hours each way, with stops. Would definitely recommend
Was a brilliant day. Amazing to be inside the tombs of the great kings and temples were great too. Excellent guide, lunch and transport. Would recommend to all
This is a very long day trip. Pick up was 3.10am as I got first one and got back about 9pm (last one😕). However it is a great trip and Ahmet out tour guide does an excellent job explaining everything and looking after our group - Cocktail!! The driving crewe were excellent too and took good care of us Thank you again
An amazing experience from pick up, actual tour and the hospitality was top notch. Ahmed was our tour guide, very knowledgeable, excellent communication, fantastic hospitality and very organised. Our group was a small group and everyone was lovely. Thank you so much Ahmed and our drivers.
Great trip. Very early start with pick up at 4am, but well worth it. The guide was fantastic, she explained everything really well and left enough time to explore too. We actually enjoyed more the sites we visit today than the pyramids. Highly recommend
With great help of our tourguide Nana, we had a blast exploring the different sites at Luxor. She kept us engaged with humor and facinating stories!
Long day but worth every minute. Half the price of Tui for the same trip although Tutankhamound entry was expensive by comparison - we were warned ! Temples of Karnak tje highlight. Our guide, Nana was very knowlegable, enthusiastic and kept us entertained all day. We were luckyy that it wasnt too hot and the crowds not too bad. Our drivers were very attentive and courteous. Definitely the highlight of our first visit too Egypt.
This trip was really good and insightful into Ancient Egyptian history. Really enjoyed the knowledge the host gave, as there was a lot of interesting facts! The ticket price is definitely worth it as if you purchase all tickets you are able to see Tutukhamuns tomb. The time to start the experience is very early however the use of private transfer from your hotel to the meeting point is very helpful. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and if you’re going as a couple, it is definitely something to experience together if you love history! A big shoutout to our tour guide Aneyna for being so lovely and welcoming!
Egytourtravel amazing experience
Amazing the guide was so funny and knowledgeable, really helpful in letting us spot scams, really amazing lady. The driver as well was really nice. The experience is worth it honestly would recommend to everyone
Excellent trip Our guide Nana was so knowledgable, friendly and passionate about her job and her country Highly recommended
We were picked up for the Hilton in Hurghada at 3.15am. 5 hours but went quickly with dozing. We met Nana out guide, who was lovely and knowldgeable. We also went up the Nile for a fab lunch. More tombs. Everything was made so easy. I long 18 hour day but one off the bucket list ticked. Next day is a needed lazy pool day. Amazing day and thank you to the team and of course Nana.
We saw so much in 1 day it's amazing!! Nana & Mohammed were great staff, very knowledgeable & kind. We definitely saw the best parts of the places visited & the staff knew exactly where to take us & what to tell us; They also gave us great advice when moving around by ourselves & provided much needed cold waters through the day. Long coach journey broken up with rest stops & bathroom breaks This is a trip not to be missed, fantastic experience... 5 Stars
