It was lovely, long trip but worth doing it Our driver was very friendly and polite, we asked for him for our trip to Luxor as well Air conditioning in car was very good and it stopped for us whenever we needed a coffee or toilet as it was 7 hours drive from where we were

Just horrible experience, the transfer we agreed did not happen. Driver was 30minutes late at 01:50LT with no info of being late. After contacting our agent he reassured us driver is almost here or in 2 minutes he will be etc. Driver didn’t speak a word of english and we could’t tell if he was working for agency or not. Whole thing was shady and unsafe and considering these things we didn’t travel to Cairo. Avoid Egyptra at all costs.
The agreed transfer by minivan from our hotel in Hurghada at 1:20 a.m. was not provided. The driver did not show up at the scheduled time, and only after contacting the agent we were told he was “delayed”. After waiting 30 minutes, a man arrived in a private car (not a minivan), without any identification or proof of representing the agency, and unable to communicate in English. For safety reasons, we declined to travel in those conditions. Would not recommend.
We got private transfer option and we had a very safe driver hassaan who was incredibly punctual and caring he got us stocked up on water and breakfast and drinks and checked in with us constantly to tell us what is happening at each point. Then we got to meet the tour guide who showed us around the egyptian museum. He Read hieroglyphics on each different ancient artifact and was incredibly informative he also bought us ice cream. We visited the pyramids of Giza where he took lots of cool photos for us. And the great sphinx. Amazing trip would recommend the nicest people ever
The good, the bad and the ugly. Small bus collected us. driver falling asleep at the wheel, then watching TV whilst driving at plus 70 mph (to and from Cairo). Cairo amazing! Would recommend. Rest of the trip the reps were taking us from shop to shop trying to sell us tat.
This is a long day but oh my goodness, so very worth it. The Museum was mind-blowing, lunch was nice and if course the Pyramids! I can't describe how emotional I was. Magnificent! Hotel pick up and drop off was spot on time. Fantastic, friendly drivers and a great guide whilst in Cairo. Sensational!
I travelled with my mum with this company and I don't regret. The crews were nice and polite to us, we saw everything what we should according agenda. I bought both trips through egyptra local page. Pyramid trip - we went by small Van but it was modern, space in van maybe for 10 people, we were just 5 travelers - it was possible to sleep in van(bring with you small pillow as recommended). It was lots of hours in the van but travel agency cant make the route shorter. Little bit of communication/language barrier but google translator helped us and when driver understood what we want he was willing to fulfill our wishes without problems. Listen to your guide - when he will tell you go see the Sphinx do that, markets near the Sphinx can wait. The space to see/near the Sphinx is limited so you can wait a little to get a good angle for photos or for view. Perfume factory - it was one of the stops, I red reviews that they force you to buy perfumes - it was not our experience, when we said no, we will not buy anything, no one forced us to buy. Nile cruise and Best view of pyramids (via cart or camel) - are addons we bought them during the trip. Small advice - if you will take camel to this view, camel cant lie on the view spot (too rocky terrain for that). If you want pictures on your feet just take a cart. Bedouin village - interesting trip to see stars and moon (almost) without light smog. Also explained how villages like this work and a little of camel ride. Photographer was with crew, will do photos through the trip and you can choose if you will buy photos from him or not.
We went to a number of places in Cairo, including the pyramids with Ossama - he was a brilliant tour guide. I loved the perfume and oils place we visited and I truly felt immersed in Egyptian culture. We had the best day, and met so many lovely people. Ossama is so knowledgeable and it was an amazing experience I’d - recommend to everyone!
Really great tour with excellent drivers and a very knowledgeable guide. A fantastic day out but about 14 hours of travelling on a 22 hour tour.
Excellent experience. Enjoy every bit of it. I think everyone deserves to visit the pyramid ones in their lifetime. It will leave you with a memorable experience. Trust me and go create a wonderful experience with the best team.
Very well organized one day trip to Cairo. We didn’t miss anything. Program lenght are just enough to keep your energy on a good level till the end. Museum-Nile boat trip-Pyramids in a good balance. Drivers are nice and helpful, guide is a professional, shared a lot of fun facts and interesting stories on top of the basic information. Highly recommended tour.
It was amazing! Special thanks to the drivers, for the safe travelling. And special thanks for the Dr. tourist guide he was amazing! It was truly a master service in all forms ! Nice and careful staff, everything was perfect as described. And they even managed to find my lost item on the bus, and get it back to me. Highly reccomend them!
It was an interesting day. The pyramids amd the museum were magnificent. The drivers and our guide Ishmael were also very nice and attentive.
The trip was amazing value for money . Our guide (Moshera) was intelligent and helpful when taking photos . The drivers were excellent and friendly . We had stops to use the toilet and eat food .
We did two day trips from Hurghada with Egyptra. Excellent service, I can not stress this enough, and I would certainly book with Egyptra again. They take you to where you need to go. The tour guide is well informed and will provide you with the historical significance of whatever site you're visiting. They don't ask you for tips or harass you in any way. We were super comfortable on both trips. They just do what they meant to do which was really refreshing. The best excursions we had were with Egyptra. My advice, if travelling to Egypt, is to book your excursions through Egyptra instead of booking at the hotel. We booked 2 excursions with a different company through the hotel, one was good but the other was terrible plus we kept getting harassed for tips. You will not have these problems with excursions booked through Egyptra. Thankfully we booked the bigger excursions with Egyptra. The first trip was to Luxor and was amazing. We were picked up on time in a Van which was super comfortable. The drivers and tour guide were really helpful and polite. We saw the Valley of Kings, Hatchepsut Temple and Karnak temple and grounds. The second trip was to Cairo, and again we were picked up on time in a nice Van which was really comfortable for the long journey. The route there and back was really well planned out in terms of breaks and arrival time to the various locations we were visiting. It's a long trip, but it didn't actually feel that long. The tour guide again was super nice, informative and helpful. We saw the pyramids, sphinx, museum and had a boat ride on the nile. It was again an amazing day. We made some really special memories on both trips with Egyptra. Both locations were phenomenal and I cannot fully put into words what it felt to see the sites, especially the pyramids in real life.It is breathtaking.
If you are looking for a day trip to Cairo with no doubts book it with them, I must to say I was a little concerned but everything went perfectly well, and the staff was super friendly! I super recommend it
It was an excellent trip thank you. The only problems were delays beyond the company's control, police checks on all tourist buses and vans mainly. The Cairo guide was excellent, a total positive. The drivers too were top notch. Efficient and safe and most importantly some great safe driving skills when we had a blowout. I always appreciate being kept alive. And a no fuss repair. My only issue, a lengthy stop to sit through a perfume sale, but no-one objected when I skipped it. Better if you leave it off though. Tourists don't enjoy these stops, they endure them. Thanks all round.
It was an excellent trip thank you. The only problems were delays beyond the travel co's control, police checks involving lengthy holdovers. Not probs with their docs, holding all tourist buses. The Cairo guide was excellent, a total positive. Deserves good tips The drivers too were top notch. Efficient and safe and most importantly some great safe driving skills when we had a blowout. I always appreciate being kept alive. And a no fuss repair. Also I feel the trip was great value, though that may be cos we booked at the last minute. Thanks all round.
This was a fantastic trip ! A long day but definitely worth it ! We had a pick up at 1.50 am. We were on a minibus with 4 other English and 2 polish. The drivers were great, a few stops for toilet/ snacks along route. We met the four guide in Cairo and first stop museum, before going on to the pyramids. A short stop for perfume talk too. The day was long and busy but didn't feel rushed. Optional boat guide which we thought we had included. Will check soon. . Stop for lunch. Busy venue but good food & not Ill from it ( unlike other trips we've been on and got ill). we got back to hotel at 11pm. A long day but full of history & great photos ( basics added here as keep the best ;) ) A must !
Wow, what can I say - what an experience. yes the journey can be tough from Hurgadha but with regular breaks and chances to get food and water on board it’s not too bad just make sure you pack headphones and a pillow or cushion to help sleep on the journey. We were picked up shortly after our specified pick up time and our drivers were excellent very chatty and funny. After what ended up being a 7 hour journey to ciaro we began in the Museum which is an impressive sight, our guide Khaled was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful who also kept us on track and gave us tips and looked after us when it came to locals trying to sell us their goods. We then followed into Linch and an optional mile boat river trip. We visited the Papryus Factory in Cairo to have an insight on the steps taken to making some Egyptian art then followed to the pyramids and sphinx, Again Khaled knew lots of best areas for photos and steered us well clear of any possible scams or people trying to over charge us on items or souvenirs All in all , our trip was excellent and worth the travel made truly special by our guide Khaled , thanks folks !
To start the van was too small for such a long trip. There were 2 drivers and while one was driving the other one was sleeping on the last row of seats!!! Neither of them informed us what was happening or how long would take when we stop on police checks on the road etc.. First stop was Cairo where we visited the Egyptian Museum, very cool, but quite rushed. We went on a little trip on boat at the Nile river that I would recommend to have a break from the hectic traffic of the city! After we headed to a fairly good restaurant near the pyramids where we had a nice lunch. we were then taken to a perfume shop which was really unnecessary. These are everywhere so not a good use of time and leave us less time to spend at better parts of the day such as the pyramids. Everyone on the trip felt this was a waste of precious time. Finally, the Sphinx and the pyramids. They are really impressive, high and magnificent. Unfortunately you can't get near the Sphinx which personally I would like to do. But it's possible to get close t the great pyramids and even climb a few stone blocks near the pyramid's entrance. You don't get a good view of the 3 pyramids together for a good shot because the smallest one is too far and you don't even get near of it. You'll need to be quick taking photos since the guide does rush you to make time for another shop you will be taken to a papyrus shop and learn about it and given tea and then pressured to buy the expensive art. The tour guide was friendly and tried to manage the time as good as possible.
We enjoyed the tour and got to see everything we wanted to see, inside one day. It is a very long day (we knew this before hand) but well worth it. The tour guide was very insightful and friendly, he also accommodated us going inside the pyramid (we were the only people in the group to do this) whilst everyone else did something else. Also provided us with tips on how to avoid getting trapped into buying something we did not want. The drivers were also very friendly and provided a breakfast box, water and coke which was much needed. They also picked us up at exactly the time they said they would. It was a very good trip.
Very well organised from start to finish. Well worth the very early start and lovely to see the sunriseover the desert. Started off in the Egyptian museum with a very knowledgeable guide, then onto a Nile boat trip that was worth the €10, then onto the Pyramids. We'd heard allsorts of mixed comments but they were well worth a visit. The only regret was paying an extra €10 each to go on a horse and cart, our horse was so hot and exhausted it was cruel. Just also want to say thankyou to the 2 drivers who not only drove hundreds of miles but also navigated the chaos in the centre of Cairo!
Very long day over 20 hours but worth it. Schedule fun packed with excellent tour guides. Knowledgeable about history and local culture. Whole experience of the trip was fantastic and definitely had lots of wow moments. However there were a lot of additional optional extras which of course came with additional costs. These mounted up throughout the day and the people operating them dictated the prices and expected tips to be given. River cruise $10 per person Horse and carriage or camel rides to take photos $22per person plus tips Carriage operator taking photos on YOUR PHONE $20 Guide asking for tips Guide telling you to tip the minibus drivers on your departure Again they were optional extras but you did feel pressured to participate in the activities. Just information for future travellers so that they are aware that they may need additional money on the day.
Take a lot of money with you. They expect you to pay in every place you stop. Trip with boat down the Nile river that is mentioned in the description is also not included. They will charge you 15€ per person after. If I’d like to go again I wouldn’t choose this trip. When we got picked up from the hotel we had breakfast, water and coke served by one of the drivers. That was a nice surprise 🤗
This was a very long journey however definitely worth it The tour guide Hannah was very sweet and nice she really knows her stuff we went to the museum which it self should be a one day trip as the size of it Went on a boat trip which was really nice looking at the nile
A brilliant trip well organised the tour guides were amazing.somthing i had always wanted to do and i was not disapointed.
it definitely wasnt what I paid for.. we had no free time at the pyramids , didnt see everything we wanted to but instead they took us to perfume shop and papyrus shop where they were trying to scam everyone. very uncomfortable bus and very tiring trip. I would never go again with this company! They picked us up at 1am and we got back to hotel at 10.30pm, considering that we've been at the pyramids maybe an hour thats far too long journey.
The day before our trip I was added to a WhatsApp group along with various staff from the tour agency (Egyptra). This was helpful to arrange our pickup location and time. On the day we were picked up around the time specified and welcomed into a Toyota van by the driver and other passengers. We were given snack packs shortly after, which was appreciated since it was really early and there wasn't time for breakfast. It was a long drive to Cairo, but there were regular stops for bathroom breaks and buying food and drinks. Once we arrived in Cairo, our Egyptologist guide - Mahmoud - boarded the van and joined us for the duration of our time in Cairo. He guided us through the Egyptian museum in both English and German. We also visited a perfumery, and a short boat trip on the Nile before lunch. We had a nice buffet lunch with a view of the pyramids. After lunch we visited the pyramids and sphinx. Unfortunately it was during our time at the pyramids that our trip, which had been quite lovely up until then, began to sour. We were told that we had an option of taking an optional rickshaw or camel ride to a vista from where all the pyramids would be visible. We selected the rickshaw and were told that we would be able to take a picture with the camels. However when we arrived it turned out that we were forced to take the camel ride. Our guide, Mahmoud, was very pushy about this and when my wife said she'd prefer not to take part he grabbed her and attempted to force her onto a camel. Despite her repeatedly saying no he would not listen, and instead guilt tripped her while man handling her, saying "we're all just waiting for you". As she was being forced onto the camel, the animal was frightened and Mahmoud eventually gave up on the endeavour. Unfortunately, I was already on a camel, but I asked to be let down to be with my wife and was refused. She was instead taken on the rickshaw we initially wanted to take together by Mahmoud while the rest of the group was lead away with camels. Mahmoud attempted to reassure me by saying "don't worry she's ok", but as he had already exhibited a shocking lack of respect for consent and boundaries this did little to assuage my fears. On the camel ride, another member of our group (a lady from France) was repeatedly taunted by making her camel move and sway in uncomfortable motions. She was visibly frightened but despite asking for the guide to stop making the camel move in that way, he instead laughed and did it again. I was really appalled by the lack of respect shown for people's comfort and boundaries. When we arrived at the vista, my wife was quite upset and Mahmoud attempted to calm the situation by claiming that "she was fine". Despite informing him regarding the breach of consent he continued to try to overcompensate by saying he was "just trying to help". Mahmoud claimed that the plans had changed and that we had agreed to this, but this was not understood by us and clearly not communicated well. It's concerning when plans change without your awareness and you are forced to comply with them. The trip was quite nice up until these events, but I attempted to give it the benefit of the doubt and continued. We visited a papyrus store as our last stop. When we started to head back to Hurghada, 3 passengers (including the aforementioned French lady) informed the driver and Mahmoud that they would be remaining in Cairo. This was verbally confirmed by Mahmoud. We then dropped off the two passengers and the French lady inquired as to when she would be dropped off. Mahmoud was leaving us at this point and before he left he said loudly in front of the whole group that the French lady would be taken to a car which would transport her to her accomodation. Satisfied with that we continued our journey back. Once we neared the outskirts of Cairo, we began to wonder when we would meet the French lady's car. It became apparent that we'd left Cairo and so on her behalf I asked the passenger in front of me to inform the driver. At this point, the driver became rude and dismissive, stating that the plans had changed. This visibily shook up the French lady who was now concerned about reaching her hotel. No one had communicated this change in plans, and if we hadn't spoken up we wouldn't have known. She had to leave her seat whilst on the highway to go to the front of the van to confront the driver before he stopped. When he did, he gaslit her and said that the plan was never for her to be dropped off. Myself, my wife and two other passengers protested as we'd all heard what Mahmoud said. An argument ensued and eventuality the French lady was dropped off at a McDonald's outside of Cairo and told to find her own way home. To leave a solo travelling lady outside of some random place in a country where she doesn't speak the language is beyond despicable to me. As she was being dropped off the driver was visibly insulting the French lady which honestly just added insult to injury. This trip is great, if like me, you are white man. If you are anything else you will be disrespected, mistreated and gaslit. My wife and the French lady happen to not be white and are both obviously women. Despite the initial enjoyment, I cannot overlook this extremely troubling behaviour by Mahmoud and the drivers. The trip was spoiled by the feeling of safety we'd initially experienced evaporating into thin air and the realisation dawning on us that at any moment the drivers or guide could decide to change the plans without informing us and then force us to comply. We honestly feared that we would not be dropped off at our accomodation again and instead left at some unknown location as the French lady had been. Very disappointing.
A long but exhilerating day. The trip was very well planned and managed. It's an early start but watching the sunrise in the desert is a unique experience. Our guide Aya knew where to make shortcuts and was informative friendly and flexible. I also take my hat off to the driver There is a real buzz about Cairo and the Pyramids are wonderful beyond words. I'd do it again tomorrow...
The exact term for this trip is EXTORTING TOURISTS FOR MONEY! First we reached Cairo at 8am. Gida Aya said it is very busy and our first stop is the Cairo Museum which opens at 9:30. Like it or not, he suddenly found himself on a boat on the Nile for $15 per person. Then - it's still early for lunch, we'll go to a perfume and papyrus shop. My husband and I refused to go in, and the rest of the group went and locked them and pulled down the thick curtains. After 30 minutes, they started leaving with purchased papyrus and perfumes. After lunch last stop pyramids. Already from the bus, it started with explanations of how the pyramids should be seen from a panorama, which can be reached by camels for money, of course. So, nothing happens from the Aya guide. No information about the pyramids, no information in the museum, in the museum we stopped at 5 places, he said 5 sentences and left us alone. We were alone at the pyramids again. Not to mention that he only went with the people he managed to get money from, took them to the panorama with the camels and let's go. They stopped us at the biggest pyramid on the back side... Nothing is happening from the whole company and the guide. Don't be fooled! Low extortion for money, using tourists as debit cards, incompetent guides,...
Our guide, Mohamed (Robin Williams lookalike!), was excellent. He made sure we saw everything, got us the best photographs and went the extra mile. He was very knowledgeable, kind and funny. The trip was Fantastic. We saw everything we wanted to say and more. The only downside is that the bus for a 7 hour journey was very cramped and uncomfortable. The driving also left a lot to be desired!
Magical day ticking off some big bucket-list items. The only thing to be wary of is the journey to and from Cairo which was around 6 hours in a van each way that had uncomfortable cramped seats with awful bumpy roads pretty much the whole journey. There are some rest stops. It would be good and make this journey easier if there were some pillows in the van, if everyone was made aware of when the rest stops were from the start and water was provided from the start. I had water and brought my own pillow but I was the only one out of 8 of us.
Our guide around the museum and pyramids was great. And seeing the pyramids was amazing and definitely worth it. However, it was the longest day of our holiday. We left at 2am in the mini bus and didn’t get back to our hotel until 10:30pm. The bus would stop several times for an unknown period of time at security checks, which made the 6hr car journey longer. It was a good experience but was just such a long day in a mini bus. Luckily we were on the trip with two lovely couples. The lunch included was a crazy restaurant buffet, very busy and loud. Our table was stolen so we had to find alternative seating. Definitely something I’d only do once to see the pyramids.
Good tour of Pyramids and Cairo museum. It did feel a bit rushed but with the short time but to do it fully you probably need another couple of days. It could be better if we didn't do the visits to the perfume and papyrus shops but I guess they need to squeeze a bit more money out of you. It would be nice to have some more free time rather than the guided tour but maybe this is just my preference. The tour ran over as well so got home late and seemed to be because we had a few unnecessary stops.
9 hour drive to Cairo from Makadi Bay! but only 4.5 hours back. The trip advertised on Viator did not mention stops at papyrus makers, perfume or natural oils but the tour guide tried to take us to both. Luckily we asked if we could miss out the stop at the papyrus. Which saved a lot of time. The lunch was very nice. We also skipped the nile cruise as we had done it previously in Luxor. I'd only advise that you do the Nile cruise so that you can say you've been on the Nile as there was nothing to see.
It was about a 22 hour day, not 15-17 hours as advertised. We were taken to two shops and this included a perfume shop where we were given the hard sell somewhat. The tour guide/Egyptologist was excellent and seeing the pyramids was amazing. The Egyptologist was very interesting and passionate about the ancient history, he gave a great tour of the museum. The 'specialty restaurant' lunch was disappointing, just a buffet style in a very busy cafe. The tour guide also offered extras, but there was no pressure to take these, such as a camel ride near the pyramids. So be prepared to spend extra but, for example, the camel ride was worth it.
Very good experience, tour guide was brilliant and she gave fascinating insights on Egypt and gave me a lot of knowledge about the country and was very friendly
The delay was caused by visits to papirus and perfum shops which were not in the itinerary. Expect to spend more time there than in the museum. Entrance fee for the pyramid was paid extra €20. It was not the trip I paid for.
We loved this trip! Yes, the journey is difficult and could be more user friendly, as it took over 2 hours to get to the edge of the city due to hotel pick ups and 3 changes from one minibus to the next which felt quite scary at night and with the drivers just saying "another bus" and pointing to the one we had parked up next to! We were picked up at 1.30am which was communicated to us the day before which was fine. We arrived in Cairo just after 9am so it was a long journey! Cairo is amazing, the museum was great, we had a guide called Hanen, she was so interesting and fun. The pyramids were insane! It was all so good. Definitely a must do if you are in Hurghada.
The tour itself was really good and our guide was excellent. Hanan our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She knew who to go so we didn’t have to queue for entries to the museum, pyramids, boat trip on the Nile. Hanan also gave us valuable tips on keeping ourselves safe and what we should look out for, as well as many useful tips for the tricks that the locals use to lure into Camel rides, etc. she also told us what vendors we should use to avoid being ripped off. Now for the downside of the trip, picked up in a small minibus which was not the coach as advertised. Lots of security stops which added to the extremely long day as it was already. Very very long day which would have been so much more enjoyable and comfortable if we had been on a coach.
Great experience seeing the pyramids and the museum, bit unnecessary visits to papyrus shop etc but that’s what all of the trips are doing so it is what it is. The guide was knowledgable and spoke English well. The car was small and uncomgortable for such a long trip unfortunately.
We booked our tour from TUI. We saw Cairo! Pyramids! And museum of Egypt! Oh and Sphinx. Trip is a bit exhausting. During the trip we were extremely disappointed with our guide. She was underwhelming, she wasn’t giving a good explanation and she was encouraging us to tip and didn’t prepare or “shield” us from annoying sales men around pyramids and Cairo. When we arrived at pyramids of Giza, our guide told us we can’t go anywhere by ourselves, she presented us with couple options (carriage, camel riding). I don’t know why but she didn’t want us to go to the inside of the pyramids (by for ex saying there’s nothing there better to take camels and do photos yay!). And she said we have to choose now not later, well we decided to take camel riding around pyramids. Why I am mentioning this… Our guide wanted us to pay her on the bus. You see, you don’t have to pay anyone or anybody to go behind pyramids. Just take a walk, it will take you couple of minutes and FOR FREE you can make shots (like one I took) and more, also even behind pyramids watch out for annoying salesmen, yes even there. About salesmen and tipping, it’s disgusting. Even when you are making a picture, somebody can annoy you, tell you “he works” here and he will not want any money from you. Yeah, that’s a lie. Between pyramids and museum we had 2 sale shows for papyruses and perfumes each lasting around 45 minutes. After the first show most of our group went to the bus because we didn’t want to take part of this comedy. Our guide was very pushy and insisted we should come, we didn’t, she was mad later on. We didn’t care. After that we had a lunch. To make another long story short - awful. That’s it. Museum of Egypt would be great, but our guide we think she was mad at us and she rushed the whole thing showing us just “the most important things”, in between answering her phone. Very unprofessional. We were also told by our guide that everything is in Luxor and we should visit the place. So all and all whole experience was a massive mixed bag. I would recommend you to go and visit the pyramids and that’s that. They are worth visiting, museum as well but with a better guide. Oh and there was a 10 minute stop just to take a photo of Sphinx. Yay!
We came back over 2 hours after the estimated time of arrival, over 4 hours after the time stated on the ad, thus we missed even the late dinner. Every break we had took twice the time announced. But we saw what we where promised and extras (camel ride to pyramid photo shop and short boat tour on Nile) were affordable.
Don’t do this trip. They take you out for my than the specified hours, with a bunch of unnecessary stops and only 30 minutes lunch. We left at just after 12am midnight and arrived back to our hotel the following day at almost 3am. It really took a toll on our bodies. Worst trip wouldn’t do the trip again. However, do visit Cairo.
AMAZING! From the pyramids to the boat cruise on the river Nile! Lunch spot was really nice too and our tour guide Hannah was amazing
We had loads of fun on this trip, there was great communication from the staff organising the trip and the tour guide was excellent. We never felt rushed through and by and large were not forced to buy anything. Be prepared for the trip to last a lot longer than advertised though; the trip from Hurghada to Cairo took 8-9 hours once you factor in the pickups from the various resorts. We also got stuck in some traffic at checkpoints. But even still the driver stops off at regular intervals to allow you to use the toilet or grab a quick snack. All in all I would highly recommend this professional and well organised trip, just prepare for the trip to be longer than advertised.
14 to 16 hours (approx.) This is the description for the trip. My trip turned out to be 24 hrs. of which the bus was uncomfortable with no tables to place your drink on. the tables were all covered with the seat covers ! great !! The seats once reclined from the the passenger in front, made it very uncomfortable for the passenger behind. Really I suggest that Viator at least check out the transport from the travel agency that they use. more time is spent on the bus then the attractions ! Egyptologist what she was laughing at her own jokes ...not interested. i saw the Pyramids but hardly spent any time other than going through the ticket barrier and coming out to the exit. I personally would now go by plane if you would really want to spend time at the attractions.
Our guide was Will. He was very friendly, helpful, and caring. The ride was long and lengthen by several necessary stops. It is an experience worth having. I enjoyed the boat ride and the lunch. Would like to try it later in the year. The heat was tolerable.
Such a fantastic day. Visited the museum, river Nile, a Papyrus shop, the Pyramids and a perfume/oil shop. Great value for money. Hanan the tour guide was such a lovely lady, very friendly and funny. Gave tips & advice on how to keep safe as well as where to buy souvenirs at the best price. My favourite part of the day was riding a camel at the pyramids.... the camel man took some fantastic pictures. It is a long journey from Hurghada to Cairo but there are toilet breaks on the way where you can also buy food and drinks. I have visited many countries and done lots of excursions and I can honestly say that this was one of the best if not THE best I have done. Many thanks to my guide Hanan, Aymon and the drivers.
