Me and my wife was so excited to go on this excursion, but it turned out to be a total waste of money, we booked the full package which included quad biking across the desert. We got picked up from our hotel and taken to the meeting point, where other people we're waiting for us to join. On arrival, I spoke to the guide about what was on the agenda, but he didn't say anything about the use of the quad bikes. After asking, he said that there was no quads on his excursion, just a ride to a Bedouin village, apparently a authentic dinner and then stargazing. Whilst I was filling out the forms, my wife noticed the pickup driver and 2 other people take black bags out of the boot of the car and slide them under the seats of the 'so called' jeeps, which was a Toyota hilux with wooden seats in the back. The journey was horrendous, my bum and back took a beating. My wife was able to sit in the cab due to her disabilities, which was probably the best part of it all. When we finally got to the village, it was a couple of huts with 2 women and a young lad, and all of us noticed the driver, guide and photographer, unload the black bags and take them towards the cooking area, which we all agreed that it was a bit dubious. After having a drink of water, we were taken to the mountains to watch the sunset and was told the photographer would come along to take some photos. After quite a while waiting, I decided to take some pics on my phone, and me and my wife headed back down to the gathering point. The photographer finally come along and took some random pics of us both. We were then ushered to a tent to have the meal, which we all agreed was from the black bags and there was nothing authentic about it. My wife could have done better on a bbq. We were then taken to do some stargazing, looking through a telescope at 2 planets, which basically looked like irises and then the moon. After which came a VERY long talk about the stars and constellations, which my 12 year old granddaughter could have done. Then finally back to the hotel, when climbing out the back of the 'jeep' I cracked my head on the top lock and cut my head open. I wouldn't recommend this excursion to anyone, like I said before, it was a waste of money!!!

We had an amazing time on the Star Watching Desert Adventure by Jeep & Dinner! The jeep ride through the desert was thrilling, and the sunset over the sand dunes was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was very knowledgeable, explaining everything about the Bedouin lifestyle and the night sky. Dinner was delicious and freshly prepared in a cozy Bedouin camp, followed by an unforgettable stargazing experience — the sky was so clear we could see countless stars! Everything was perfectly organized by FTS Travels, from pickup to drop-off. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hurghada who wants to experience the magic of the desert at night!
Loved every moment! Great guide, delicious dinner, and the stars were incredible. Thank you FTS Travels for an unforgettable night!
The most comfortable vacation i had ever , the hospitality was perfect and i would thank Ms Menna salah for her help and efforts ♥️
We had the best time and recommend this experience. When we come to Egypt again, we will book for sure. Thank you all for this amazing ride
The scenery was great, in general I would recommend as an experience. Our experience was ruined because while the appointment at the hotel was at 16:30, the driver arrived at 17:20. Because of that we missed the sunset. The package included also a camel ride, which was not offered, probably because of the late arrival. The food offered and the location were spectacular. The stargazing experience was fine, we could see the moon and Saturn with the telescope. The guide could not complete the explanation of the stars because the laser pointer didn’t work. Finally there was a request for additional payments for the hotel pickup at El Gouna which was not mentioned when booking by
The pickup was on time, Ash was very nice and perfect with english so we understood everything. We could have asked him anything without hesitation. We really had nice time with Ash, we would recommend him to everyone. Duration of the trip was perfect, not short but not too long also. Atmosphere was really great.
The stargazing experience with our guide Hamid was really enjoyable. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and Hamid shared interesting information in a friendly and easy-to-understand way. It was especially nice to just sit in the quiet desert and look up at the sky. The food was also very tasty and fit the evening perfectly. Overall, it was a lovely trip that I would gladly recommend. Thank you to Hamid for the great time!
Really informative. Our guide Ashraf was lovely and gave us lots of history and knowledge of the culture and way of life. Shopping was useful and lots to buy.
Nassar was our guide and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the stars and constellations. Travel by jeep was fun, although definitely bumpy! The bread making was interesting and the camels where there to pet, take photos with or ride. Dinner was also lovely with loads of water or soft drinks included. Definitely recommend.
The experience with the star gazing was beautiful. For us as a fanily with kids was adventurous while riding the jeep and a little walk to thw top of a small hill, then dinner under the stars which was even great as they had even kids friendly food which I was worried....the star and pictures were the cherry on the cake 🥰 everyone friendly everyonr welcoming...100% recommended
We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Adam. The quad tour was so cool and the desert really beautiful. Adam looked after everyone in the group and made us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this trip!
The Stargazing and Camel rides we're good, food and Bedouin village was okay, and the jeep was fun although very hot. Warning to view the sunset you have to walk up a steep slippery path.
Magical Desert Safari Under the Stars – Guided by the Amazing Arabi If you're looking for a desert experience I can't recommend our guide, Arabi, enough. He has an incredible gift for bringing the desert to life. His respect and love for the desert were contagious. But the highlight of the trip came when the sun dipped below the horizon. As the sky turned from orange to deep indigo, Arabi invited us to sit in silence and simply watch the stars appear. Then he began pointing out constellations, planets and stars. With no city lights around, the sky was absolutely breathtaking — and Arabi's explanations made it even more magical. It wasn’t just stargazing; it was a journey through time, culture, and the cosmos. Arabi’s calm presence, deep knowledge, and poetic way of sharing it all made this trip unforgettable. If you want more than just a tour, if you want an experience that stays with you go with Arabi. You’ll leave the desert with more than just photos you’ll carry its spirit with you.
Ibrahim and team gave there's best and gave us wonderful experience. We taken many great photos, from sunset to Camel riding.
Moussa the guide is such a Great Person, humble and extremely professional. What a nice experience there… I travelled alone but talking with him I felt so confident. 🤗 súper recommend this trip
Tour guid Nasser was amazing, really knowledgeable and wanted the best for his group. The views, sunset and stars were stunning, the Bedouins were so hospitable, lovely experience including the Jeep drivers.
This was undoubtly one of the best experiences of our trip. From the fun adventures on the Jeep on the way to the beduine village with a group of fun and good-mooded driver and guides, to the seeing how the beduines live and tastinfg their bread, along with the most wonderful sunset and finishing with a special dinner and, for me the highlight: the stargazing in the most stunning sky I have ever seen - everything was perfect and the perfect way to end our trip to Egypt. Our guide Abrahim deserves for sure a special mention and thank your for the amazing explanations both on the beduine tribes and how they live as on the stargazing, showing an extraordinary knowledge on esch serial we were seeing and always kind and willing to answer our questions, trully made a diference.
Ideal for anyone wanting to try out something different. Not suggested for families with young children. Duration 1430hrs - 2230hrs. Driving on dunes, experiencing Bedouin culture, short camel rides, climbing slopes to take in the view, dinner and a lesson in astrology and its importance. While I recommend excursion and FTS where exceptional, there are some considerations worth taking note of: Dinner was basic and restroom facilities were unusable within a few hours. Not surprised as area is desolate and obviously not easy to obtain provisions and water. Driving jeeps for few hours till we arrived was a fun experience but return journey driving on bone-rattling 'roads' in pitch darkness was an exhausting feat even for our incredible drivers.
The drive was long to get to the desert and lots of us were crammed in a van sitting sideways very uncomfortable. The dinner was such a small portion, we had to have another dinner when we got back to our apartment afterwards. They should arrange for more food according to the amount of people coming. Then we were freezing, obviously no ones fault but maybe some blankets could be provided for winter months. I had four layers on and was still freezing as we had a bit of freak weather for the week. The guide who talked about the stars etc was great though, can't be faulted. Also the driver should have asked if we minded a more exhilarating drive over the bumps in the desert because it made me feel sick personally.
The whole adventure was amazing. We enjoyed every point of it: buggy ride, quad ride, jeep safari to Beduin village, the camel ride, dinner and evening show of belly dance and derbish. Really great experience. So many attravtion well organized.
It was a magical experience with friendly guides. Adam told us all about the starts and planets and we were so impressed with his knowledge. They took some great photos of us under the stars which we paid an extra €10 euros for. So glad we booked this trip.
This trip with FTS Travels was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. We started with a quad ride through the desert, where we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. We skipped the camel ride and went straight to experiencing the breathtaking sunset in the desert (it was pure magic)! The evening was just as magical! We enjoyed a delicious meal under the stars and even had the chance to witness stars and planets up close through a telescope, such an unforgetable experience. I can’t recommend this trip enough; it’s an absolute must for everyone!
First of all, we went to the Jeep safari and our guide Adam was not a good guide he was fast when he was talking about the stars and didn't told the truth about the stars the profesional cameraman was not a pro the pictures are bad quality and FTS says danceshow included but there wasnt a danceshow.
Quad tour was amazing, the trip to the dessert as well, although it's an adventureous ride! We couldn't see that many stars because it was a full moon, but Abraham our guide could still tell us a lot about the sky and constellations.
Everything was great! The driver very kind and also the guide in desert, fantastic! All the views and landscape was amazing! I would like come back!
We really enjoyed the tour. It was two jeeps with around 8 people each. The desert tour was fun and the food in the camp was good. We were the only people there. Our guide Ibrahim knew a lot about the stars so it was really interesting.
Great trip! Nasser was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, and he explained everything to us in German. There was also an English-speaking group alongside us. We had the chance to bake flatbread and watch traditional weaving. The food was delicious, with options for vegetarians like me. The star constellations were explained in an engaging and insightful way.
Ibrahim was amazing. His knowledge of the desert, Bedouins and the night sky was second to none. The amount of stars visible is inexplicable. The jeep safari on route to the Bedouin camp was exciting with a talented driver. Sunset over the desert mountains was beautiful. Lots of opportunities to take amazing photographs and use of telescope to see Venus, Saturn & the butterfly galaxy as well as Milky Way. The Bedouins were welcoming and dinner was nice. Good footwear is a must! As is the opportunity to ride the camels. One of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. 5 out of 5 stars!
Brill day out..the instruction gave use good instructions the food was good book off get your guide the information for trips and pick was on time
I enjoyed this very much! The safari jeep was a crazy ride through the desert but that made it all the more exciting for me. My friend didn’t handle it just as well as he ended up being sick once we arrived so I did the rest of the adventure on my own. Lovely sunset view on the mountain & the stargazing was a good experience.
My guide is Fares and he organized the trip very well. I enjoyed all the activities and he has super good knowledge in the stars and really fascinating. The only little minus is that the dinner show was a bit short otherwise it is a more than 5 stars tour!
Fabulous tour, our guide Mosa was brilliant, very informative and interesting. We learned loads of interesting information regarding the Bedouin and the night sky. Dinner was abundant and delicious and Mosa even sang traditional songs for us. It was a beautiful experience that I’d highly recommend
Expectations were exceeded. Very well organized, tour guide, driver, local Bedouin, traveling with, photographer very nice, pleasant people. We are very excited about the pictures we were offered for 10 euros. An elderly man from Bedouin village showed me a baby goat ❤️ I absolutely enjoyed the tour. It was like you know from the TV reports. Food was also very good. I'm very pleased. There was also a full moon. A thank you to all of you.
It's very pretty ، I had fun I made the camel it lasts 10minutes I made the cousher of the sun the dinner was delicious the wish to do it again3 times
The trip was a solid good trip where the price-performance ratio fits. The drive through the desert was a lot of fun, but it is already very swinging. Some time passes before the first drink (+transfer to the meeting point depending on the hotel), taking some water makes perfect sense. The Bedouin village is simple, the sanitary facilities (with two eyes closed) justifiable. Non-alcoholic drinks (except water, which is free) are available on site for 3 euros. The food is simple, as described, but good. We were there for the full moon, i.e. we could not see the Milky Way unfortunately, it was too bright for that. But we saw Saturn through the telescope. Our guide Mohamed Arabi (German speaking) was very friendly, helpful and explained everything well. We got a lot of information about the stars. Overall a good trip for this price.
I went around to discover Hurghada, despite the fact that I know very well. It was excellent I recommend. Ash is an excellent guide and very kind!
Pick up too late, so the driver had to race through the desert. Sunset in the mountains works only to a limited extent, not here. Food was fine. Calling the singing a Bedouin show is very questionable. Only Hamid the guide has been very good, even if he didn't even have a thing for us in Bye after the criticism. So definitely the worst trip during our holiday and no recommendation.
An exciting adventure! Perfect organization. The FTS team has been watching us great to make sure we have a unique day. Arabi was a really engaging guide, he put the whole group at ease. Alexander, our driver, top! The whole thing I would call more adventurous than romantic, but you cannot come to Hurghada and not go to the desert to see the stars. The journey to reach the Bedouin village where you have dinner (simple but good meal: grilled meat, rice and vegetables) is done by 4WD along about 30 minutes of desert between sand, uphill and downhill (if you suffer from car sickness be prepared well). At the village you take a short demonstration tour in a dromedary (the time needed for some funny photos and videos), taste their delicious tea (nobody was bad) and watch the sunset. The moment of observation is magical, immersed in the darkness the sky is beautiful! Great value for money!
Arabi provided us with a lot of information about the world of stars. It was instructive. The jeep ride in the desert is good
The whole experience was wonderful. Our guide Hamed has tried very hard. Terrarium is a bit modest but the animals are worth seeing.
Despite some uncertainty about the transfer, our trip was great! Especially our guide Adam deserves compliments. In addition, the food was delicious and the location breathtaking. Therefore all in all 5 stars!
Jeep safari in the desert of Igouna by Ibrahim well animated by Sidric. Beautiful landscape with a splendid sunset behind impressive mountains. Observations of 2 planets, a star or a cluster. Competent and very friendly team. Outing to advise
The tour was really great and everyone was very nice. We were able to take beautiful photos and the dinner was delicious. Taking the jeep through the desert was really great. If we are again in Hurghada we definitely book here again.
Was a very nice experience, unfortunately there was no dance show as mentioned before and picking up by private taxi unfortunately had an hour delay which brought us some stress. Marshmallow the guide (Narsan) was great!! :-)
We will not recommend FTS travel in any way. They never came and picked us up at the hotel. We waited 2 hours. The reason we waited so long was because we wrote with one on whatsapp. One moment they responded quickly back, then not answering at all. We also found their website with a chat function, it was also sparse with information. However, they kept saying we just had to wait a little longer when our driver was on his way. Suddenly they stopped writing and we ended up writing we wanted our money back. Then they could write again and offer us the trip another day. At that time, they had kept us around for two hours. We thank you for the offer and have to write many many times to know when we would be picked up. At 1:30 p.m. the night before we get the time of know. We arrive 5 minutes before the agreed time and end up having to write back and forth many times. Nobody's coming. After 30 minutes there comes one from the company to pick up something else for a similar trip, but not us. He's trying to help us by calling the office. He tries hard, but ends up driving with his team. We sit back again and after 1 hour of waiting a driver comes and picks us up. When we arrive it is suddenly a different trip than what we have ordered. However with some of the same elements, but not exactly what we wanted.
An extraordinary tour. Our tour guide Arabi (Kohlrabi) thrilled with his German poems in addition to the starry sky.
Nice service, authentic and warm. The guide Ar'bi speaks several languages in addition to his mother tongue (English, German, French) and bravo for all his knowledge about the stars and the history of the nomads that he shared with us. He answered all our questions which was really cool. However, we were expecting a beautiful clear and starry night, but the light pollution from the city and the coastal villages, as well as the heat layer on the ground, hampered good visibility. But for what the guide showed us, using his very effective "laser pencil" to point out the stars, it was enough. The camel ride was symbolic (5 min), time to take a few nice photos for memories by the camel drivers. The rather good meal was prepared in the old-fashioned way and in advance, it is not a bbq strictly speaking, but slow cooking in an underground oven of vegetables and meats. Too bad it is served in plastic cutlery and dishes, not great for the environment. Be careful to coordinate the pick-up carefully because we waited an hour on the road while the driver was in front of the hotel reception waiting for us. However, our instructions received by email were clear, we had to wait near the main road. Fortunately finally after exchanges by WhatsApp with the organization, we were able to understand each other so that they could pick us up. From Marsa Shagra Village, it takes 30 minutes by car towards the north then 20 minutes on the track to the west in the desert.
A truly fantastic experience, our guide Arabi was extremely helpful and kind in making sure we didn't miss anything during the entire tour.
