Hurghada Over Day Tour To Luxor Balloon Ride And Felucca

This tour was very expensive but seemed to offer a lot, however, whilst some aspects were superb others were decidedly poor and I would advise anyone looking to do a similar tour to look elsewhere. Our pickup was on time and the driver friendly enough in an air conditioned car. After a four hour drive and a pit stop at a less than ideal nor friendly service area we met our guide called Adam. Adam welcomed us warmly and was very good showing us the Karnak Temple. He suggested a visit to an embalming museum which we did only to find later that we incurred additional charges! Next stop was Luxor Temple where again we received good guidance from Adam. At this point we were relatively happy but the restaurant they took us to for lunch, although on the banks of the Nile was disgusting as was the "set menu". I am normally quite generous with tips but when the waiter asked for a tip he got a firm No! Next stop was the hotel, which was also below a standard I expected given the price paid. Not acceptable was cold water shower only and hair dryer didn't work. Additional three adults were in one room! Later we were taken to the river for a sunset fallucca boat ride, however the only thing that worked was the sunset. The boat was not a sail boat more like a water taxi and that broke down in the middle of the river for most of our time on the water. Far worse the captain tried to tell us the boat hadn't broken down but this was an opportunity to savour the peace of the Nile! and his driver had the lid off the outboard and was frantically trying to start it! Suffice to say we had words! When we docked we were then due for dinner which it turned out was to be back at the same disgusting restaurant. At this point I lost my temper a little and told the driver we would not go there and we chose the El-Kababgy restaurant which delivered good food and drinks in a friendly manner. Three meals with drinks cost 2200EGP compared to 1689EGP for just 6 soft drinks at the companies chosen restaurant! The next morning we were picked up from the hotel by the Al-Sana company for our sunrise balloon ride and from minute one the guide Hassan was superb in organising and explaining the procedure. The experience was, in my wife's words, magnificent, magical and memorable. We had a fabulous trip with fantastic views of the Valley of the Kings topped off with a brilliant view of the rising sun. Our trip was to continue with the Valley of the Kings followed by another temple and a village visit to include a camel ride and lunch but we were so fearful of the restaurant quality and felt the other items were just opportunities to sell stuff we didn't want we decided to head back to Hurgada immediately after our visit to the Valley of the Kings. For anyone reading this please note that tour guides are not allowed into the tombs with visitors so paying for their time with no input is frankly a waste of money! Just pay the entrance fee and look around. I would have liked to be told he couldn't accompany us and it would have been beneficial to perhaps be advised to look out for interesting items in the tombs but he just went to sit in the shade and have a smoke! Incidentally other tour guides met their clients at the entry/exit points of each tomb. We had to find Adam when we had finished. My advise to others is don't do this tour book your own choice of hotel and guides, there were plenty of guides at all the sites and all seemed more professional than ours.

The tour guide, Hassan, was excellent. Very informative without it being an information overload and a good sense of humous. Only negative comment was that lunch and dinner on day one were very average with drinks completely overpriced for the tourist. A fantastic overall experience visiting Luxor, bring plenty of small notes as everyone from security guards to the men checking your entrance tickets is after a tip!

This package is the real deal. It includes so many activities. The price was very very reasonable. We had a private transfers and dedicated driver, 4hrs each way from Hurgharda then between all activities, private tour of all 4 of Luxor's major sites over 2 days. Our guide had a real passion for his subject and impartet an unbelievable amount of knowledge as we walked each archaeological or historical site. There were no queues at any site. Golf buggies take you to base camp at the Valley sites, a nice and welcome breeze! Take plenty of water, repellent and sun protection. Be aware, the mozzies are pretty aggressive! Overnight accommodation, all food for both days, a private falluca ride on the Nile in the evening and an incredible balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings at dawn. You will need water and entrance fees only on this trip... including local currency for the toilets! If you tip everywhere it is hugely appreciated. You generally get what you pay for in life, obviously! I would 100% do this exact same trip again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend it high enough. Very well constructed trip with a nonstop itinerary... bring decent walking shoes! Enjoy!

The experience with my guide Fathy was amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better one! The whole experience from the hot balloon over the valley of the kings in Luxor to visiting the different temples and tombs and the Nile feluca ride made my day memorable! Fathy was always there with me and he’s an expert in Egyptian history and culture and taught me so much and answered to all my questions during the day! He could even speak some Italian which made it even nicer! Highly recommend booking him as a guide for this tour in Luxor!

Today we made the daytour from Hurghada to Luxor. Picked up right on time by Achmed. He drives very well and neat After the ballontour, we met our guide for the day, Hamdy. Hamdy is a very nice man, who knows everything and gives you a lot of information. The combination Achmed en Hamdy is highly recommendable. When you stay in Hurghada dont't hesitate tp book this trip.

Jackie took us to 5 sites that were great. She was so amazing at explaining what we were about to see. She also went out of her way to keep us in the shade and happy at all times. I was actually surprised by her deep and interesting knowledge of what we were about to look at or looking at. I have traveled to over 30 countries and been on many tours and without a doubt my favorite is Jackie. I normally do not “ever” write a review but for Jackie I am very happy to do so. I bought this tour via Revolut (viator operated) but both sites don’t give the ótimo to review, ir must be a bug or something but I’d like that this review appears there too. Everything went as planned and the hotel was very nice, such as the workers there. They were very caring. I want to highlight the work of Hassan (our guide) and driver. The driver was always very kind, helpful and available, he was never late. Hassan is an Egyptologist with many years of experience, and he explained the history of the temples to us in a very clear way. He is also a very funny and friendly gentleman who welcomed us warmly and took us to places where we didn’t see any other tourists, which truly shows that he knows Luxor better than anyone. On top of that, he was always available to chat and answer our questions. I also want to highlight the care and thoughtfulness he showed when choosing local restaurants and food for us, since we are veganand everything was wonderful! Without a doubt, it is worth booking a tour with Hassan. I’m certain that no website on the internet could teach me the things he did! If you want an authentic luxor tour, book with Hassan, I promise you wont regret it.

Excellent trip with Manal. The temples were excellent, the hotel was comfortable and all staff were friendly, our guide was knowledgeable and efficient and the Valley for the Kings and hot air balloon ride were fantastic. We would definitely recommend this trip from Hurghada and we are so glad we didn't try to do everything in a single day.

Aladdin our tour guide was full of knowledge and gave us some great facts around the tours of the valley of the kings . Nothing was too much trouble ! Hassan our driver was very accommodating also , taking care to make sure we were comfortable and was both very friendly throughout the whole tour . Highly recommended!!! 10 out of 10!

Our stay in Luxor was both interesting and enriching in terms of discovery and culture. However, one major downside was the extra costs. Despite paying a very high price for just two days, we still had to pay additional fees to visit the most well-known temples and tombs. This was really disappointing, especially considering that in previous excursions — for which we paid much less — everything was included. That being said, I want to give a special mention to our guide, Pola. He was truly amazing — so kind, gentle, and patient. He explained everything we visited very clearly, and when we asked him to take us shopping for souvenirs, he didn’t hesitate to help us. He was honestly the best guide I had during my 10-day trip in Egypt. Another special mention goes to our driver (apologies, I forgot his name). The transfer from Hurghada to Luxor and back went very smoothly. The car was clean and air-conditioned, and the driver was very attentive and considerate. The only negative point was that he didn’t speak English, so we had to rely on Google Translate to communicate. Unfortunately, during the long stretches of the road trip where there was no signal, it became quite difficult. Otherwise, aside from these few negative points, everything went well. We didn’t follow the full program because it was simply too hot today.

We had a really good ans informative trip with our tour guide Alladdin. He was really helpful in guiding us and explaining all the history of the places we had been.

The tour has been one of the best experience I have ever done! Aladdin was our guide for the two days, his knowledge of ancient Egypt history is impressive and he has answered all our questions. He has also taken amazing videos and pictures of us! He has been very accommodating with our requests and make sure we had everything we needed. Hassan was our driver for the tour and he has been very accommodating too asking us where we wanted to go after dinner. This tour is very worth for its money. The hotel we stayed in was lovely and we had dinner and lunch in two different places overseeing the Nile river and the food was delicious. We also did a felucca ride on the Nile which was very fun. We didn’t get to do the hot hair balloon ride due to high winds but this was no ones fault. Definitely recommended and again thank you Aladdin! 😁

My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience with Nice Tours on our trip from Hurghada to Luxor. Zeinab, our tour operator, was super helpful and very responsive via WhatsApp before, during, and after the tour, which made everything so easy to coordinate. Amer, our driver, was excellent. The vehicle was comfortable, and he shared lots of interesting knowledge about the area during the long drive. He was also very accommodating when we decided to return to Hurghada earlier than planned, with no complaints at all. Marwa, our tour guide for the Luxor temples, was knowledgeable and helpful. However, after the hot air balloon ride, we were very tired and chose to cut the temple tour short. The highlight of the day was definitely the hot air balloon ride! Our pilot was very experienced, making the ride smooth and enjoyable. Watching the sunrise over Luxor from the balloon was absolutely magical. Overall, we had the best experience and would highly recommend Nice Tours for anyone visiting Luxor!

Absolutely amazing. Much better than my expectation. Weather was a little hot but I was fascinated by beautiful Egypt history that much so forgot about heat. Tourguide was fantastic and knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. I lost my passport ,he didnn't moan and he helped me to find it. Lunch was a local food which was served just for Eid and I had chance to try local it,beautiful taste. Thanks to Adam who made my 40s Birthday special.

Great trip. Well Organized and super safe.. I loved the taxi driver Abou al Hassan and the Guide Raymond. Both punctual and reliable. Raymond was very knowledgeable and took the time to guide us through all the visits and the amazing history of Egypt.

Nice and recommended experience! The Balloons was a great experience and it was managed by another guide, it took longer to reach Luxor from Hurgada due the police controls on the road. After the balloons our tour guide Manal, and our driver were with us all day, they were really kind, flexible and listening to our wishes. We were two girls and felt really comfortable, thank you!

Our guide was absolutely amazing! With incredible energy and passion, he brought the history of Egypt to life in a way that was both fun and unforgettable. Ahmed Ali Hassan was an attentive and informative host whilst negotiating the temples and sights in Luxor. He honestly could not have been more helpful . We had a fantastic day and learned so much .

We were two couples travelling together and we really loved this tour. The Temple Hotel we stayed at in Luxor was really nice and clean with roof swimming pool. The Karnak Temple was very interesting, so many beautiful things that catches your eyes and we were all very impressed. Valley of the Kings is also a must visit but the highlight of the tour was the hot air ballon ride. We went a little late up so we missed the sunrise moment but we loved it anyway. Our tour guide Basem was very friendly and full of information, maybe sometimes to much of information for me 😊 but he was really nice og obviously he knew the Egyptian history 110%. We recommend this tour.

Collected on time from hotel in Hurghada, met guide in Luxor and really informative around Karnak and Luxor temples - fascinating places! Dropped off at hotel around 130pm. We stayed at the Temple Hotel - rooftop pool and bar that was a surprise an we hadn’t packed for pool! Picked up for a sunset felucca trip that ended up being 20mins on a motor boat, rushed evening meal and back on the rooftop before sunset! Balloon ride was well organised- need to take cash in Euros if you want photos - we didn’t have enough but arranged for our guide to pass money on at a later date - money not passed on and no photos. Hotel breakfast good then trip to Valley of the Kings - we paid extra to go in King Tuts tomb and the guide promoted us to pay our overall admission which we hadn’t packed given him in cash the day before- a phone call later and it was sorted. Food on day 1 was good on a boat on the Nile, dinner was ok but rushed and a glass of wine 8euros (wine in the hotel bar later on. Lunch in day 2 was ok but lots of flies where we sat. Overall it was a good trip and glad we did it but a few disappointing things that we flagged to the company who were disinterested.

A great value organised trip. We had the most amazing time, the private transport to and from Luxor were great. Our guide for the two days in Luxor, although she was supposed to be English speaking did struggle a little with the language but she was lovely and tried really hard. The hotel was really nice with its rooftop pool and bar overlooking the Nile, a little noisy with all the horns honking all night but that’s part of the city. If you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs. Our 4.30am taxi to the river for the transfer across for the balloon ride was an experience, I think there was more tape holding the car together than anything else, but it got us there 😀 The balloon ride blew us away soooooo beautiful and serene. Definitely an experience to be had 🥰 The additional $20 video and photo package is so worth while paying for. This is all in addition to the camel ride a short Felucca ride on the Nile, a sunset dinner on a barge again on the Nile and Lunch on the second day at a local eatery. Almost forgot to mention the guided trip around the tombs and temples, the main reason for going. We can’t recommend this excursion enough it was incredible and worth every penny 😁 Ladies a tip. Don’t wear a skirt for the balloon ride, re; to get in and out of the basket 🫣😳🤣 The only downside was the unexpected shopping stops where you feel obliged to buy something but you can say no.

Booked this trip through get your guide, we had private transfers, private guide by a lovely lady called Manal, she was fantastic throughout giving us loads of information about each bit of history and making sure we had enough time to do everything we wanted to. The trip from hurghada is long, however so worth it if you want to experience the history of Egypt. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful trip to Luxor. It was amazing to see the life of the inhabitants and see the Luxor and Karnaktemple. The air ballon ride was an unique experience of my life. The whole 2-day-trip was organized great and nothing got wrong. Aladdin, our guide, was very friendly and it was fun with him. He was also very patient all the time. Also our privat driver, Tayed, was super friendly and patient. He showed us, next to the trip, the City.

I traveled to Egypt with my family in March. We've been to Egypt several times before and this time we really wanted to go to Luxor. We decided on a two-day trip (including a hot air balloon ride). It was a fantastic trip. Everything was very well organized and our guide Aladdin was super nice and told us a lot of interesting things about Luxor and its temples. We can only recommend this trip.

Picked up at 22:30 at our hotel by Amer, our private driver, who drove us from Hurghada to Luxor. The trip was as comfortable as it could be (roads were not in his favor haha). In the morning they took us to the nice cafe, here we could wait until we drove off to the place where the balloon took off. Everything was arranged very nicely. After the incredible balloon ride, we visited the different temples (The valley of the kings. Hatshepsut temple and more). Sama guided us through these amazing places. Overall we very much recommend this experience :)

This trip was amazing. Our guide Ereen met us once we reached Luxor and looked after us every step of the way. It was my husband’s birthday so Ereen very thoughtfully bought a gift to for him. Our restaurant was on a roof top with a view of the Nile and the hot air balloon ride was truly spectacular. I thought it might get cold in the sky but we didn’t it was truly breathtaking. Myself and my daughter had a 2 day 1 night private trip to luxor from hurghada last week including hot air balloon, boat ride, camel ride, valley of the kings and some monuments and temples. Our driver was lovely and fantastic with my 8 year old daughter even buying her a horn to beep at traffic with him. Our tour guide (joo) was also amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind. His knowledge on the area and valley of the kings, temples etc was brilliant. Very nice man and again brilliant with me and my 8 year old daughter. Was unforgettable experience! We were collected by the driver Karam from the hotel reception. Took us around 4 hours do drive to Luxor with a nice coffee break. Then we've met Ramez who was extremely helpful. Ramez took us around the Luxor temple and explained all the history of the temple. Next was dinner on the boat on Nile and later Ramez helped us to check in to the hotel. Free upgrade to a 4* hotel was a pleasant surprise. Morning started with the early balloon ride and that was unforgettable experience to fly hundreds of feet over the Valley of the King's. After the breakfast in the hotel Ramez took us to Karnak temple and told us a lost of interesting facts and all the history of the temple. After this we asked Ramez if the camel ride is possible to swap for something and he has arranged us a private boat trip to banana island for extra $15 p/p so it's really cheap. After the island we had a lunch on the outskirts of the Luxor where we tried very delicious local cuisine. Overall I'm rating 5++. Ramez very professional. Well worth money spent, all arranged for you, just relax and enjoy the experience 😉

We have had a wonderful day. I would recommend Nice Tour to everyone, they communicate well before the tour, the drivers are punctual and take you safely everywhere in their nice, almost new Toyota vans. And if you are lucky enough, like us, to have Sama as your guide, you will have an unforgettable experience. She knows everything and is very nice and funny. And she even knows where Carter camped when he was looking for Tutankhamun. This is a tour not to be missed!

Two day trip that covered all the highlights of Luxor. Best part of the trip by far was the hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the Valley of the Kings. Would highly recommend selecting a tour option that includes this. Private drivers meant transport was very fast and a personal guide meant one to one attention at each venue. Hotel was fine but take some earplugs as it was very noisy overnight (Although the early start will mean you’ll sleep through anything)
