Don't do the buggy completely waste of your time. Bring water with you. Quad experience is amazing, camel ride is five stars and the bread in the village is nice . Food and show definitely not to loose.
Two members of our party suffered injuries after they fell off the ATV. The response from the staff was abysmal. The staff proceeded to charge us (via card) double for the photos until a photographer flagged the issue to me. To refund, the staff offered the amount in EGP at a ridiculous exchange rate. We then proceeded to have a different photographer harass us for payment for different photos after we had already paid. Chaotic, disorganized, unprofessional.
At first the good things. They have great quads, the shows are a bit short but they are very entertaining and also they build a really nice place there. But now the not so good things. Buggy ride was maybe 5min, quad ride is just straight ahead, there is no real action in that. The guide in the front drives slow so the camera man can overtake the group and take pictures. They did this like 5 times in the first ride. A lot of people slow than down to pose for their pictures.. At least 95% of the people there are Russian so the guide will explain everything in Russian for a half hour and than 2 to 3 sentence in English. The whole place is very expensive. See menu in pictures! I called them them the yellow shirt guys. The yellow shirt guys are very eager to sell a lot of pictures
A few issues to start off with in terms of pick up. I was originally told my booking was cancelled despite having a confirmation email being sent out to me. However once rectified I was picked up straight from my hotel and taken. Upon arrival I met Olga who introduced herself as group leader. She was very attentive to the group, took her time translating between German , Russian and English. She broke down the day and kept each of us informed throughout. The safari experience itself was 10/10. Quad biking was fun, we had a young man following the group taking photos throughout the experience. (Which isn’t free) there’s a few at the end.. The camel ride was another great photo opportunity ( ask to have photo taken on your phone) Buggy ride was fun as the sun had set by then. Only 10mins which was ideal after spending hours on the quad bike. By the return from the buggy ride it was dinner time which was followed by a belly dancing , fire and traditional dancing show. Overall a very good experience great value for money and a would recommend booking with this group.
Amazing experience with a Professional and well organized team!! We recommend Safari trip with Viva Egypt Travel The Camel ride is only a few minutes long, but all in all a good excursions
Do not use this company. Thief's. Want more money and threatening to go police with your hotel details. DO NOT USE!!! Threatend my 18 yr old son.. come out with taxi fees national park fees.. just thief's!! DO NOT TRUST!! STAY AWAY
Myself and my dad went out for the full day trip. We had the most wonderful time. The transfer was on time and quick. Staff were accommodating and made the trip funny and informative. We did so much for our money and enjoyed every second of it. I would book through these again when we come next year. Thankyou very much to everyone.
Firstly the whole experience was a good one and we made the most of it and had a really good time and good laughs, especially for the low cost of the experience. A few points that mark the experience down and something for people to be aware of. The pick up from the hotel was bang on time and communication great through WhatsApp, however the run down vehicle was an experience in itself, sitting sideways and cramped in a 4x4 that has never seen a wheel balancing machine in its life with load music. The drop off area and briefing area is just a bunch of uncared for concrete sheds and outbuildings and in no way professional. The briefing was quick and basic, ok if you have ridden things like this before but for anyone new to ATV, s I think it would be quite scary. Onto the ATVs, these have been round the block a few times, pull cord starters in which they managed to let it go and give my wife a massive swollen bruise on her leg at the very start. The quads had brakes from a model t ford and the tyres looked like they were ready to blow at any minute. The helmets didn’t look like they could save you from a pine cone falling on top of them either. On the way back my quad broke down and I was at the back of queue, eventually they noticed I was missing and came back for me, then tried for 10 minutes to start it, before giving up and giving me their quad. The camel ride came with no briefing, just walked over and on and you walk for about 20 metres then back, that’s it, but that’s probably enough. Once it was over you get the usual hard sell on everything. We paid for the digital photos and received a message the next day with the download link, the photos were good, apart from you can clearly see their camera has a damaged lens, so the photos look like they were taken on Nokia 3200. Don’t let all my bad points put you off though, we had a thoroughly good time, apart from my wife’s leg.
Everything from pickup to drop-off was perfect, with a fantastic driver, chatty and friendly staff. The camel ride was amazing, the traditional show was so enjoyable, riding the quad was awesome, and we had a great time all around. Highly recommend!
We were the only English speakers in a group of Russians so it was slightly difficult to follow what was happening at times which felt a bit awkward when there were long conversations happening in Russian which excluded us. We enjoyed the dune buggy and the quad bikes although the quad biking trip was quite long and would have benefitted from a refreshment stop. Was very hot in the desert and didn’t feel very hydrated so would advise to hydrate before you arrive as it is a long drive. The request to bring goggles are actual goggles and sunglasses or other eye protection isn’t allowed, so there’s an additional cost for that. The camel ride and the meal were also enjoyable. The show was a little bit disappointing as I have been to similar trips and expected a longer entertainment but didn’t detract from the enjoyment. Felt a little bit rushed at times but overall an enjoyable trip
Excellent day out from quad biking to riding camel to dinner plus entertainment.friendly welcoming. Great experience
Overall, this was a great trip. However, my wife, who is not a driver and sat behind me, found the buggy ride very sore, so we were unable to complete the excursion. Because of this we are unable to comment on the village part of the tour. The organisers however could not do enough to try and ensure that we enjoyed what was left of the trip, which included dinner, simple, but nice, and a short dhow which included belly dancer (not the best) spinning man and fire eater. For the money we paid we felt it was good value, although don't understand why the 3 dollar each tax was not just included in the price. Also I felt 6 euro each for scarf an a loan of goggles was quite steep, considering these would be considered safety clothing. If you decide to go and you are adventurous, you will enjoy it, But if a couple, i would advise you do not ride together as the buggies are definitely not made for 2. It was us who asked to be together, and this was not required of us.
5* trip was great from start to finish, pick up on time and good communication via whatsapp. Justine our guide was fab and worked really hard explaining everything to us in English. Bedouin village was lovely with a stop for tea and a chance to buy some hand made bags and herbal items. Camel ride was fun hold on tight lol...evening show and food was spectacular..highly recommend this trip..thank you
The price is very reasonable for the activities included / provided. Guides were great. However they did not indicate that there is a govt tax of USD$6 in the booking requirement. It is also compulsory to have a scarf with you during the activities due to the sand which you may consume. The ATV ride was a bit dangerous as the lights were not functioning for some so you would not know what you’re riding through when it gets dark. Pick-up can be better by holding a sign with company name as pick-ups at hotels are usually for ATV. So if you tell me ATV, I’m questioning if its the company I booked with. Otherwise, i would recommend this company.
Very good service starting from pickup, coordination, caring. Highly recommended. 20 KMS quad biking is the highlight of the tour
No respect to women, a lot of extra charges, some guides was very rude. Was very disappointed this tour, not recommended.
Enjoyed the ATV ride but when you separate people because you think they are slow. The people they are travelling with should be ask if they want to join them. Buggy car was so slow could have been more fun a little faster and over dunes. Camels 5min ride hmmm The dinner and show was awesome. Outstanding
Perfecto. Everbody shoud try it. The Best is with your friends, group but for family or couples too. Adrenalín with Lot of fun and tradicional knowledge experience. Tasting bread, tea was great. 10/10 for me
Well well what can I say!! Actually I read the reviews and I put up my guard. Let me tell you, it was truly amazing. Most do!! Had fun, no forcing you to buy, just fun. Atv, spider, 🐪 ride and dinner with show. Will be doing this again!
So I booked this trip before we got to Egypt and went for the full package. This included quad bike 22km across the desert (horrible corrigations) but unrestricted on speed and honestly a lot of fun. Regarding the quads you will have to cough up more money when you get to the start as you require a mask and a scarf (we had our own scarfs) 3$ hire so not bad for goggles and scarf I think was the same. Things to think about 1. It's very dusty (don't wear white or anything you want to wear again) 2 consider wearing trousers as exhaust with added sun gets very uncomfortable. 3. Take a small back pack for water. 4. Closed toed shoes. When you get to the bedoin village you get to see how they make their bread which is pretty much like tortilla. After that we had a camel ride which was fun. Then back on the quads back to the base. After the quads we went on the buggy which was meant to be 15 mins but it was about 7 mins. Then we had dinner which was pretty nice really and they had vegetarian available not sure on vegan. After/during dinner we has a show which consisted of belly dancing, a local guy in a skirt going round in circles (Dizzy just watching) and fire show. All in all a fab day and well worth booking.
Excellent company for excursions, tours and adventures in the desert of Hurghada. We were extremely satisfied with the approach and professionalism of the staff. The company also stands out by providing all participants with all safety and security equipment before going on an adventure, the Quads are great and I enjoyed every moment. The gathering place is extremely interesting and very nicely done in the traditional Bedouin style. We continued the adventure in Jeeps through the sands of the Sahara to the first mountains and Bedouin settlements. We got to know the way of life of the Bedouins in the harsh and scarce environment of sand and mountains. Riding on camels particularly delighted me. At the end of the safari, we enjoyed delicious local dishes that were prepared in traditional ways. Among the adventures offered by the company are Quad biking through the sand dunes, visiting Bedouins, camel riding and much more. All praise.
They asked my wife and other women who were driving fine to sit as a couple on SINGLE PERSON QUAD BIKE for 20 kilo-meter going to village and 20 kilo-meter way back to starting point. my fine was having back pain along with burn on her left leg because of hot engine which was touching her leg (there was no space on back of quad bike ). We complained to tour guide he gave us big quad bike on our way back but it has same problem. Also small quad bike was keep getting off.
Thanks in the future to add that trousers are needed to do the activity as otherwise you can be injure on your legs with the heat of the quads'motor. Also you will need to add 2 euros to rent top classes to protect against sand 2euros is to expensive just for renting.
Crazy Driver 🤪 😜 🤪 Very nice experience with professional tour guides Really the preview 5* of this trip on TripAdvisor is not fake. Thanks for All
Love the experience. It was a little over three hours, did some stops to take Pics and had fun overall Best was riding the camels and taking pics with them ❤🧡💛
It was really fun with our guide, Muhammad, and everything was great An amazing trip we had more active day Highly recommend 👌
As they said everything was except They advice me because I have kids who are 5&7 So they advice me to change for other trip is name viva Egypt by jeep I hope they can put it here to be able for everyone who have kids to booked with them instead of viva Egypt by atv So they pick up us from the hotel by jeep to the garage, we did 40 min atv, 10 min buggy, then we ride the jeep to enter the Bedouin village we met the nice children they live poor life so we give them sandwich, fruit and money and we ride camel then we back to the garage we start to take our food by open buffet and we watch the show then they call us to back to our hotels Thanks alot for everything and everybody Especially Mr talal gm who send us in viator And his guy I don't remember his name who contact me in whatsapp
***Avoid at all costs*** The tour guide sent threatening messages to me for requesting a refund the day before we were due to go on this tour, as he said we would need to go on a jeep safari instead of the original quad tour we booked. He said the minimum age for children was 10. So I advised this should have been stated on viatour as I wouldn’t have booked this knowing it wouldn’t be suitable for my children (age 8 & 10) When I asked for a refund he started to get awkward so my partner had to get involved requesting a refund to which they sent the attached messages …. And that they were to be outside our hotel to have a fight with my partner and make him “show respect” to them. With two kids in another country this is not someone you want to experience. Thankfully I saved the messages as they since deleted them on watts app and lied to viatour saying we were a no show at the hotel. Which the hotel security confirmed they didn’t turn up to the hotel at all. Very poor experience and shocking response from a supposed reputable company. They offered us an alternative date via viatour after lying saying we were a “no show” … Why would anyone take their family on a tour that they’ve been threatened on?? Real shame as we had a lovely holiday in Egypt and went on many other tours which were fantastic. This tour company I would strongly avoid just purely for the intimidation towards UK tourists I’ve never experienced anything like this before. So unprofessional
BE WARNED Positives: *The fire show was good *Food was ok, with a cup of coke. *collection and drop off from the hotel was on time and well organised. Negatives: *get ready to be conned, they try to squeeze as much money from you as possible, googles $2, scarf( not optional) $4, to get in a sh*t hole in the “beduin park” more $, and if if you pay by card their exchange rate is high, i got overcharged for every single thing, if you decide to go, take dollar with you. *Constantly waiting around . *the “bottled water” is refilled with god know what water, in dirty used bottles, be warned, check it yourself. *2 minutes camel ride. Just a massive joke. Please go elsewhere. BE WARNED
One of the best day with my friends in the desert. Every thing is perfect and the staff 👌 is very friendly thanks for everything
Before I write anything else , 2 pieces of advice 1 - wear long trousers / sleeves 2 - take as much water as possible ! Right back to my review …. It’s only about a 10 minute ride from most hotels in hurghada so that’s a good start . Pick up from hotel quick and easy . Just a warning - don’t forget the “park tax “ and we also had to buy a scarf and hire goggles ( £6 for both - per person ) would have made more sense if this had been included in original price ( although to be fair it was only about £13 per person before scarf / goggles so still not the most expensive excursion ever ) Each group gets a guide , can remember the name of ours , but the way he switched between English , German and French was pretty impressive ! Get a quick briefing on how to ride the quads , not rocket science but still a bit daunting if not done before . My wife decided it wasn’t for her and to be fair one of the guides took her on his quad ( as I had one of the kids with me ) Before you go out on quads you get 10 minutes on a buggy which was fun . Then out on the quads - they did a couple of circles first to let everyone get the hang of it then we were off ! It was about 22km to the Bedouin village , took about 30-40 minutes . Be prepared , we left about 2pm , it was around 40 degrees in the shade , but you are not in the shade , you are in the middle of a desert on a hot quad bike ! So be prepared ( hence covering from sun where possible and water ) When you arrive a the village get a camel ride , and watch “locals” making bread and the guide explained a bit about it , although have to laugh as middle of nowhere but they still managed to sell cold cokes ! Probably about half hour there then back on quads to base , much more direct route and quicker . When back they feed you and put on a show while eating before back on bus . My day affected by the fact I’d had food poisoning for previous 3 days , not eaten but felt a bit better so thought “ how hard can it be ? “ and my personal enjoyment would have been far higher had I not felt like I was going to pass out , but that’s my own stupid fault and would certainly not blame the excursion company for that ! So overall would definitely recommend as a relatively cheap 6-7 hours entertainment and great fun and something different , but cannot warn strongly enough about the sun / heat ! Have fun !!!!
A great day trip with lots to do and see. Quad biking through the desert was so much fun! Our rep youssef was lovely and made sure the day went smoothly. Overall a fantastic day and such good value for money. Thanks for all of you (( viva egypt safari ))
A great experience riding with my 9 year old son. Excellent communication via wasapp msg prior to our excursion. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped back with no problems at all. Definitely ensure you wear jeans as the heat can be intense on your legs. We were wearing shorts. Great guides and great experience.
The quad biking went on for too long. I fell off and there was no first aid. I was left with a lot of bruising on my body. The bruising was not checked by any medical person. There should have been a portable first aid system, due to the amount of risk and danger over the 22km journey. We were not told when the show started.
I booked my safari excursion through Mahmoud (Alex) at First Moon Aquatic Centre in the hotel, Royal Star. Beach Resort. He couldn’t have been more helpful, the price was exceptionally reasonable and I had a fantastic time. I got to drive a quad and a buggy, quite an experience! Zizzo our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and everything was well organised. The Bedouin village has changed a lot since last year, it is more developed and has more to see, which is lovely, and we got to ride a camel. All in all a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.
Absolutely loved the experience. From the pick up to the drop off, everything went perfectly fine, really enjoyed the drive in the desert, quite tiring specially if they put you in the faster drivers group. After returning to the main site, we had food and entertainment waiting for us. Really recommend it!
The trip was great, Well organized from beginning to the end We come back with good memories and many pictures which were taken by one of the guide Totally recommended 👌
Thanks viva Egypt it was a very nice trip i enjoyed it with my friends , Egypt is nice places you have to visit ... With viva it was very nice
Bad service. Rude employees. No help from staff. Disrespectful on all levels. Many injuries too. Xxx
I had an amazing time in the desert! It was well worth the money. Tips: bring small notes for village tipping and a generous tip for the tour guide. Helga, our guide, was fantastic and very accommodating, especially since we were the only English speakers. ATV ride can get bumpy, so wear sunscreen. The side by side tour was perfect after the long ATV ride. The camp had cats, dogs lizards, and turtles, which was really cool. The food was good too. Don't forget to bring lots of water for hydration. Highly recommend the desert tour!
A nice trip and the dinner is excellent and the service is above description and really one of the best companies that offer fun things
We were a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 5). It was a fun day riding the quads through the desert but there was a lot of waiting around and we were singled out to go slower even though we had been keeping up with the rest of the group. Also, diner and show was a little rushed at the end.
everything is perfect. the pick up time its on time exactly . the program it's very nice . the food its better than the food in our hotel :-) the show its amazing special the fiar show thanks for every one and see all of you soon ....
We all had the best day, the Crew was very nice and Organised, Highly Recommend this Trip and Specially Trip with you Thanks 😊
My friend asked me to try another trip but I trust this company more than anyone so I am here again you're the best in everything thanks and see you next time really thanks for everything
Safari it's most suitable trip in winter , we were very happy and the team is very beautiful 😍 , nice experience we will repeat again
Was good for the price. However it takes 1+ hour on the quads to reach the Bedouin Village and then you have to get the quads back again after 10 mins at the village. Desert was very bumpy and the guides are wanting you to drive at 40 km/h and it can hurt your back. Overall had a good time, food and show was very nice!
Great experience great service. What a great adventure. My 8 year old had the time of his life. Thank you for the great trip
Communication 1 star. Picked up on time, went to the safari area. There was a guide allocated who spoke little English and did not communicate anything. Asked us if we have a scarf and goggles. As we didn’t have one he took us to a counter ( think it was viva Egypt agent’s counter) and told the scarf costs $5 to buy and goggles $1 to hire which we had no option but to shell out $ 6 each. We were not informed of this when we booked. Rip off to con clients into shelling out more money. After the activity we were asked to look for our coach number and get into our coach . Again we were not informed of our coach number when we were dropped.there were numerous coaches and we had a difficult time trying to get hold of someone to find out our coach number. The pick up coach was different to the one that dropped us back. Very chaotic for clients bearing in mind they do this activity almost every day.
