Trip was very enjoyable, guide was friendly and very knowledgeable Nile trip to banana island was unexpected but we enjoyed the experience Would recommend trip. Long day but worth it
What a fantastic day We had Ahmed Bahaa as our tour guide.. His knowledge of the trip itinerary was excellent nothing was a problem Very kind and patient This was like our own private tour guide Thank you for everything 👍👍🌟🌟🌟
We did the VIP Luxor trip with Falcon Adventure Excursions. The communication from booking was excellent. On the day staff were friendly and helpful. Our guide for the day spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. A long and tiring day but well worth it.
From start to finish the trip from Hurghada to Luxor was really good as we booked our trip with Oscar tours, after picking us up from the hotel all the way Oscar was explaining and giving all the information regarding the tour his car was nice and clean with very comfortable ride to Luxor, he arranged guide for us at the valley of the kings as guide explained everything to us regarding the valley of the kings, Oscar tour highly recommended
The day trip although long was amazing. A great mixture of sites and things to see and all in one day. Some reviews I read beforehand moan about not having enough time at some sites but for us the time spend everywhere was just about right, bear in mind the heat and lack of shade, you can’t be wandering around for hours on end in one place. Our guide Mohammad was brilliant, his knowledge and clear communication was great throughout the day. First stop is the valley of the kings, Don’t believe the rubbish of being haggled constantly. Shop sellers are outside the main entrance in a small bazaar area. If you’ve ever been to Turkey this is way easier to deal with, a polite “no thanks” and keep walking. Once through our guide had already arranged the electric carts up to the entrance of the tombs, no need to tip and wasn’t hassled to. Just before we left the coach, we paid the extra £700 Egyptian pounds to view Tutankhamun tomb, I mean why wouldn’t you. It’s probably a one time trip and he’s the most famous pharaoh and the most recent discovered tomb. If you don’t want to do this then you get the standard three tombs included in your entrance ticket. The tombs are on a rotation so you won’t know which once’s you are seeing beforehand. Apparently this is so they can preserve the tombs and keep them for future generations. Warning bring a hat! It’s hot here and very little shade. The tombs are not overly big and although shaded as they underground they are hot to be in. You can take pictures yourself no issues but a warning the guards will try to earn a few extra quid off you by offering to take pictures for you deeper in the tombs where you can’t go. That’s up to you if you want to but remember if you let them you won’t get your phone back till you’ve tipped them. My advise a simple “no thanks” and they leave you alone. The tombs and the hieroglyphs are amazing and well worth visiting, you really do feel a part of history visiting them. Next stop we were off to local shop where they make hand make souvenirs - you’re told the relatives are direct descendants of the boy who helped find Tutankhamun tomb. Not sure I believe this but oh well, let’s go with it. After a short demonstration on how they hand make the items you are welcomed into a beautiful store - there is no pressure to buy anything but some of the items are really good. We had our names written into a vase we purchased in hydrogriphs and were very pleased with it. Like everywhere in Egypt prepare to haggle and the more you pick the cheaper it is. I know some people hate this but that’s just the culture and always start the haggle half of what they are asking for, the middle ground feels like both parties have some kind of deal. The toilets are free here and pleasant as well. They will also get you a drink for free. You can you use cash or card and they will bubble wrap your purchase for protection. Next up is the temple of Hatshepsut- “the valley of the queens”. The walk up is stunning, usual stuff small bazaar outside, selling junk. Just walk past and be polite. Once inside our tour guide Mohammad sorted electric cars up to the main entrance again. This is a show stopper picture opportunity, it’s stunning. No real Shade in the temple so make sure you’ve got that hat still and a fans a good idea as well. We went in March, god help anyone in Summer! Back on the coach and a short ride to the Nile. The coach btw was spacious, had a toilet on board and the air con great, a massive plus in +32 degrees heat in March! Next is lunch on the Nile. The boat looked okay from the outside but inside surprised us and was stunning, food and service for lunch was great and all Included. Only thing you pay for is the drinks, £300 Egyptian pounds for 2 soft drinks so nothing too pricy. After lunch go up top which has great shade, grab another drink from the bar and spend an hour drifting up and down the Nile. Some great views to be seen from the boat. Relax after the heat and walking of the morning visits. Next and final main stop is the Temple of Luxor, a real surprise this one and once you go in you’ll get to see some amazing statues and the avenue of the Spinx. Great photo opportunities to be had here and you’ll be presently surprised as how grand this temple is considering outside it looks quite small. A couple of 1.5 litre waters are £200 Egyptian pounds from the shop on site, and trust me you’ll need to keep hydrated by this point. It’s then relax and try to get some sleep on the coach as you head back to the hotels. It’s a long journey and they do stop off both ways for a short 20 min pee and coffee break. We were the first hotel picked up at 4am (Hilton Plaza) in the morning and the last to be dropped off, so very long and the drive is more like 4 hours after the 5-6 hotel drops. Trust me though it’s all worth it and another adventure ticked off the bucket list! Take some Egyptian money for drinks and small tips, credit card for any special souvenirs, hat or scarf for the heat, breakfast box from your hotel and plenty of water. You can leave stuff on the coach as well as its with you all day and it’s secure. All in all a great trip and well worth the price. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The tour was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was a long bus ride but the view of the mountains were breaking. It was worth it.
Top notch tour from the second we were picked up from our hotel on time we were offered snacks and drinks in our air conditioned minivan by Ahmed who was extremely friendly helpful and full of information. He said he would get us to Luxor on time and true to his word, we were the first boss there we were a mess by our tour guide said and again he was very friendly extremely knowledgeable about all Egyptian history. He was very patient as we have a very active eight-year-old ha ha whom was able to keep very interested and involved in every step of our tour our guide said spoke with us in perfect English and made our tour an exciting experience, back on the bus with Ahmed who supplied us with more drinks and snacks and got us back to our hotel in plenty of time for dinner earlier than expected. Overall I would highly recommend this tour and Ahmed and said as to very friendly guys.
3 awesome places to visit and trip came with options for even small river Nile cruise on authentic Egyptian boat! Talk to the tourguide he knows more. Bring plenty of water 2 liter per person because of the heat!
The guide mimu was really good.. lot of informations and really nice guy! price is fair.. attractions have been beautiful.. nice experience
We really enjoyed this trip. It was very worthwhile, despite being a lot of travelling to get there and back from our hotel in Hurghada. The drive there was an interesting insight through the desert and small farms closer to Luxor. Mimo, our tour guide was excellent. His insights into all of the temples that we visited were explained very clearly. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. 100%. It was a long day with lots of information taken in,so be sure to bring plenty of extra snacks and water. Be prepared for the constant hustle from locals along the way. If they ask where you're from, just say 'the moon', and they'll leave you alone! (It worked for us every time!🙂)
We enjoyed a lot from our trip and saw the all major sites in Luxor. Organisation, transportation and lunch was offered in the best standards.
It was a very hard to make agreement, mostly because of me. But MIRNA was always patient and helpful with me, even when I was not with her. The tour was great, but sadly only scratch the surface. Egypt has a very long and interesting history, 1 day group tour is not enough to discover all of things you want to see.
Thank you for the trip! The organisation was really great 👍The coordinator Mirna keep in touch though massage to be sure that transfer was in time! Never forget our first time in Luxor, magic place to discover! Everything was perfect! (Only one thing, we have not see the colossus of Memnon that was included on the itinerary and we have not understand why... but for the rest everything was good)
Amazing trip the Valley of the Kings booked through Tui we had a private tour 6 people early start from Hurghada around 4 hours travelling each way. As we were in a small group our tour guide was very knowledgeable Mohammed made our day rememberable for us, even getting our driver to stop on the way back to watch the sunset in the desert. We started off at Karnak Temple you could spend a good few hours looking around but are limited on time but it’s amazing. At the Valley of the Kings we went in three tombs including King Tutankhamen where his mummy is on show, the three tombs were very different and I’m amazed at how they got the sarcophagus into the tombs. The one tomb is very steep so be warned if you struggle with steps. We also visited Queen Hatshepsut Temple which I really wanted to see, amazing.
Loved the visits of temple and boat on the nile. Amazing temples and sightseeing. I reccomend this trip
Very nice day All the staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. A beautfill day Trip with amazing views
Very good, highly recommend it. It included a bus trip from Hurghada to Luxor, Karnak Temple and the Valleys of the Kings. For 13 euros more per person we also got a boat ride on the Nile, an island tour and lots of fruit.
We had an amazing time, who couldn’t enjoy and be amazed by Luxor? We did however not get the trip we had paid for from Sheba Tours We had booked a private tour in a mini bus for just our family. Pick up 4am. Sheba Tours out sourced our expedition to another company who came at 5:20 am. We were on a large coach with 30/40 others. The others on the coach paid less than us but had all their tickets paid for. Where everywhere we went we were constantly asked to pay. Of course the tour guide wanted the money. It felt very rushed and the tour guides made sure they got their kick backs everywhere we went. I think we were in the Valley of the Kings for 30 mins maximum but an hour at the craft village they took us to! We were Constantly being told to rush and hurry. It did mean we got to see lots but was hard at times in 40’ . Don’t buy off the tour guide. He showed us incredible solid silver necklaces that he said we could get made up for us. We got them within the hour and when we got home we realised they are made of tin! We paid silver prices. These must be worth £2 at most. I would’ve preferred to of gone it alone. I felt I lost my liberty yesterday and spent a fortune! Must get my travel head back on!!
Not good tour was rushed by rep .arrived 1 hour late then rushed all excursions no fun at all. Said we would be going on boat trip River nile but was a short trip on a normal boat night the one he showed us we did not even see the sun set by the time we got to monkey Island it was dark
Great day indeed! The shuttle picks you up from your resort and off you go! Going to Egypt, I really wanted to see Luxor and the Valley of kings! This did not disappoint! The guides were very knowledgeable!
Amazing tour we were picked up from the hotel on time the travel to luxor was relax our guide mohammed make me happely he answered all my questions and explain well and give us enough time in temples to take photos and all the archaeological sites visited are exceptional wonders, if you go to Egypt you must absolutely see them
The tour was excellently organized, from being picked up was on time at the hotel We had Ahmed as a English guide. What to say ? Just amazing . He is knowledgeable and informative about Egypt, smile all day and explain temples well& answered all my questions . Nothing to say, it is Amazing
Get up early but was worth it !! Guide “Mark” was wonderful and knew a lot! Comfortable bus with enough chilled water on board! You see more than you think !! Definitely recommend
Incredible experience, finding yourself walking in the temples where the pharaohs strolled was Amazing and full of energy. The guide, Ghada, Amazing Egyptologist, explained the history of everything we visited very well.
It was great trip . Awesome driver !!!! Then we arrived directly in Luxor . rascher a great woman very knowledgeable , and Excellent at the same time we had our time in the temples and The travel from Hurghada to Luxor was comfortable and after end our trip they give us a free trip on the Nile and it was the best experience i had ever
The trip was perfectly organised! Ahmed , our guide, had all the information you could ask i asked him many questions and he had answered all my questions and the car was very comfortable and no waste of time. Lunch was delicious as well zero complaints very happy with my choice
We had chosen this trip as our Nile Cruise had been cancelled, how happy we were seeing the amazing sights at Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. Our guide Said was very knowledgeable about everything, he chose appropriate tombs for us to look at due to our mobility problems. It was a very small group (4) and very relaxed. It was my husband’s birthday and they gave him a cake which we shared with everyone, our driver Atif was excellent as was everyone we met. I’d highly recommend booking this trip through Viator with Ahmed who is a lovely man.
Fantastic historical tour. Best guiding for those who speak Arabic, significantly less guiding for us who speak English as the English guide arrives on the bus over an hour later than the guide in the local language. The guide is good though, but talks a bit broken and fast. All of this does not matter, as this is an incredibly great opportunity to get close to ancient history. NOTE: entrance fees that are not included amount to more than the trip itself. So the total price for the trip is Significantly more expensive than the booking price
Ghada my tour guide was very knowledgeable. She provided in depth facts about the valley of kings, and the temples we visited. Had a lovely boat trip from East to West Bank and then beautiful lunch at the Africa restaurant. Great experience - would highly recommend Ghada who made it fun and interesting - as a solo visitor I felt very safe xx
The guide Mohamed was very caring for us. He knows his subject very well, and tells us the history of Egypt with enthusiasm. At the top, very very nice guide. Amazing trip that I would recommend, the tour guide was informative and he also organised our time well. We were looked after for the entire trip. Highly recommend!
A few good things, but also a lot of negative points. The private air-conditioned vehicle does not have air conditioning, so have fun being crammed in a mini bus at 30°C with 11 others. Yes, 11 other people beside you will join you on your journey, not a maximum of 10 people which is stated in the advertisement. Be wary, because apparently everyone has a fixed seat in the bus, so if you are last to get picked-up from your hotel, like me, you will have to sit in the back with no space and legroom for almost 8 hours. At each sight you will only have about 20 to 30 minutes to take pictures and have a look around before you get rushed back to the van. After you have seen all the main sights the tour guide tries to convince you pay for another activity to 'Banana Island' in Luxor. This costs 200 Egyptian Pounds and is totally not worth the money you pay. If you decide that you do not want to do this activity you have to wait in the parked van for 2 hours until the othes are done. The positive part was that the guide was nice and had lots of knowledge about the Egyptian history. But after all these problems I can not recommend this tour company at all.
Although buying the trip was seamless via Tripadvisor, contacting the tour operator was not. Soon after booking a message was sent by the operator asking me to confirm my location, but they did not reply to any of my responses so we had no idea what time pickup was or whether they even understood where our location was. The phone number given did not work either, which was confirmed by our hotel reception. We had given up when late the night before the trip we received a message from home in the UK saying that someone had tried to phone there. After a bit of confusion the tour operators got our mobile number and we were able to arrange pickup via WhatsApp. Pickup was at 04:30 in a pleasant minibus and we spent 1.5 hours travelling to other hotels to collect the other participants, before the journey West actually begun. This was as sun was rising with lovely views of the desert hills. There was a stop for a toilet break at a roadside tourist trap that cost 5 Egyptian pounds (EGP) per person. Lots of hassle here from vendors. Do not buy from the snack shop here as it is extremely overpriced. I strongly advise that you buy some snacks before the trip at a supermarket near to where you are staying. We arrived in Luxor at 09:30 and picked up the guide (Ehab) outside the railway station. We visited the Temple of Karnak (200 EGP), which was fascinating, expansive but very crowded. Nevertheless, it was well worth the visit. Again, ignore the vendors near the entrance and stay with the guide. Next we drove to the West bank via Luxor bridge to see the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut (140 EGP)--an impressive structure carved into the hillside that was partially destroyed in an earthquake over 2000 year ago. There is a shortish walk to the temple that doesn't take too long, but it is possible to buy tickets for a land train (about 5EGP I think). This is free on the way back. It was then off to the Valley of the Kings (240 EGP). The entrance fee covers the cost of three tombs. Keep hold of your tickets as these are punched when you enter each of your chosen tombs. These are very impressive, with vivid colours still visible even after so many millennia. The walk to the site from the ticket office is longer here but there is a land train available for 4 EGP After this was a trip to a nearby alabaster vase "factory" with accompanying shop. We then went for lunch (included) at a riverside restaurant. This was different to where we should have gone as that had closed by the time we reached it (15:30) so this alternative was hurriedly arranged. The meal was filling and tasty with good options for vegetarians. Once finished we took a boat trip to Banana Island (200 EGP) where we saw a banana plantation and were presented with as many bananas as we could eat! Then a boat across the Nile back to the awaiting minibus for the drive to Hurghada. We were back at the hotel at 22:00. The drivers were friendly and the guide Ehab excellent. He was very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions or requests. Overall it was a worthwhile trip.
Beautiful experience, the tour operator is well organized and the Egyptian guide Nena fantastic! I recommend everyone this experience with them. The transfer was excellent and very comfortable
This is amazing experience. Although the ride is a bit long but totally worth it. Our female guide Manal is so knowledgeable and helpful, and shared so much meaningful insights and stories with us. Strongly recommend
I had a tour booked with Ayman through Paradise Travel (booked through this website). He was prompt, very knowledgeable and easily the best tour guide I had during my visit. As a single travelling female, I felt at ease the entire time, and his tour really catered to my interests. Excellent tour
It's a very long mini bus ride from Hurghada to Luxor, so be prepared to sacrifice a day of your holiday. We had to get up at 4.30am and we didn't arrive back until around 8.30pm! That said, it was still worth the hardship, as Luxor is an incredible location. Our guide, Mohammed was very passionate, knowledgeable and always eager to answer any questions we might have. On arrival, we went to the Valley of the Kings, The Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon which are all incredible. We then had lunch, followed by a boat trip on the Nile, which was about £10 each, but definitely worth it (you can travel on the bus if you don't want the boat trip). However, they keep the best part of the trip until last with The Temple of Karnak. A simply stunning site and a real Bucket List experience.
Mohammed was a really great guide. He is a really experienced and funny. Provided us with many interesting informations and facts which made the whole trip unique
best, friendly and very informative, always making sure everyone had fresh water and kept hydrated (41 degrees that day) I was sick ( vomiting) that morning and he stopped at a pharmacy to get pills and was always checking in on me... We highly recommend to take a day to enjoy Luxor with these guys, wont be dissapointed.
Amazing trip for a great value! The trip starts super early around 4 am. We traveled almost 5 hours to Luxor where we met our guide. Started at Karnak Temple, than we went to Papyrus institute, optional Nile cruise for about 12 dolars. It’s the best cruise we had in Egypt so if you want to experience one this is a good option. After that we had nice lunch followed by visiting 3 tombs in the Valley of the Kings and visit in very nice shop full of hand made statues and vases. We finished our trip at Hatshepsut temple. The way back was much faster. It is a long and hard trip. Make sure you wear comfy shoes. The heat in Luxor was much more extreme then anywhere else we went to so cover your head. Umbrella is also useful if you are particularly sensitive as there is not much shade. We loved the trip and our guide it was absolutely amazing!
Very interesting trip to learn more about egpytian history with Mohammed our guide was very friendly and helpful
Excellent trip. We had a very nice guide NAGAH, who had an answer for everything we asked. I really enjoyed the explanations of him The bus drivers were also very good . In Luxor we went to many places, Karnak temple, Valley of the Kings,Hatshepsut temple and many other beautiful places. Thank you for the truly memorable day
The pick-up was on time, the competent driver , vehicle a little aging. We were accompanied by a French-speaking guide all the time. Started with the temple of Karnak , followed by a felucca ride on the Nile (optional), before going to lunch simply, in a restaurant by the river. Then stop photos in front of the colossuses , and head towards the valley of the kings. Priority access to the sites, visit of several tombs and return, after the inevitable stop in souvenir shop. Long and tiring day, but must do from, Hurghada.
The trip was very pleasant thanks to the organizer of the trip and even more thanks to Egyptologist Mimo Habibi who had control over the tourists so that they do not get lost. Although I do not speak English and it was my only option to travel, I saw that Mimo is very expert in his presentation about the pharaohs and Egyptian history.
Beautiful experience, beautiful views and the time you are in the air is prolonged so you can enjoy a good time, the captain super friendly and funny. The only thing to improve is that they leave you a little alone when you arrive at the property, and if you do not know English or Arabic maybe you have doubts.
It was a wonderful trip although quite long and exhausting, but you could see a lot and the whole was super friendly.
Thank you very much for a fantastic day. Everything was perfectly organized, our French guide! (fari!d) was very helpful and dedicated. I recommend
The trip was really nice. I can only recommend it. The bus ride went about 5h, it was unfortunately very tight in the bus. Not comparable to European buses. The trips with our guide Abdul were really nice. He explained everything great on DEU and ENG. Sandra, helped with the planning and kept us informed. (costs, pick-up, other open questions) It is a one-time tour that I would book again. The Nile trip costs 10€ extra, but is worth it! Was the highlight of the tour for me. Thanks for everything and love greetings
Luxor and the Valley of the Kings is a fantastic experience, but the trip and planning of it was miserable. We (fam for 5 people) had purchased the trip via TripAdvisor 4 weeks before departure and Sheba Tours had to take care of the planning. We had purchased a 16-hour group tour with Danish guide and depart at 4:00 p.m., but the evening before we were contacted by Sheba Tours, who announced that they could not find a Danish guide. They also had trouble getting us picked up and suggested that we could be picked up in two different cars as early as 2 p.m. as a transfer to the bus, which we refused. We were also offered a solo family trip in a smaller car instead. It was very uncertain that there was no control on that part so close to the departure time. However, we managed to get an agreement on pickup at 3.40 with transfer to the bus. The transfer section was very inefficient and it took about 2 hours to wait at different hotels before we reached the bus. The guide was just as much a seller and tried to sell his own jewelry and managed to convince the group to extend the trip, which meant that we were not back at the hotel until 22.30.
