From Hurghada: 5 Days 4 Nights Nile Cruise Luxor-aswan With Tours

Our experience with this travel agency in Egypt was overall ok, but unfortunately it came with several issues. The transportation and overall coordination with the drivers were good. The vehicles were comfortable and the transfers were organized well. We also had an excellent guide for the tours on the East and West Bank, Adel. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to spend the day with. He even suggested that we visit an additional temple that was not originally included in the program. We are very happy that we followed his suggestion because it turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit. Importantly, there was absolutely no pressure from him to add this stop. However, there were also several problems during the tour. The hot air balloon activity was very disappointing. There was a significant delay and as a result we missed the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy it at all because of this. The driver seemed to be in a big hurry to get us there and was driving very dangerously, yet despite that we still arrived very late. There was also a lot of confusion regarding what was included in the package and what was not. The website clearly stated that meals were included, yet at one point we were asked to pay for a lunch. Of course we did not accept that. Additionally, the lunch on the first day (the one they tried to charge us for) was at a very touristy place and not a great experience. Another disappointment was Banana Island, which in our opinion is not worth visiting. The program also mentioned a felucca ride, but instead we were taken on a motorized boat. Overall, the experience was okay, but it came with quite a few problems that affected our enjoyment of the tour.

Tour Guides Sammy (super sweet and kind) and George were amazing and informative! Made us feel safe and comfortable. Please note you will not know your exact cruise line until arrival, so quality may vary from images. We stayed on “The Royal Viking Cruise” and the staff were amazing, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable with a toddler. The quality was mid range not nearly a 5 star cruise line, but clean and amazing staff. Lunch is the best meal of the day, breakfast and dinner are a hit or miss. P.S., Don’t waste your time with the WiFi it was expensive and barely worked. Be prepared to tip at the end. Overall a solid 3-4/5 experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic 4-day Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with Egyptology Travel, traveling as a family, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our guide in Luxor, Adel, was outstanding — extremely knowledgeable and passionate while guiding us through Luxor Temple, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. During the cruise, our guide Samy took wonderful care of us, accompanying us throughout the journey and expertly guiding us through the temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Abu Simbel. The cruise ship itself was very comfortable, with a spacious cabin, excellent amenities, and delicious food throughout the trip. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore Egypt in comfort with truly excellent guides!

I feel that you put us in embarrassing situations. It is NOT okay to every single situation asking for tip and begging for money. Make your prices right and don't beg for money... You are embarrassing Egypt.

That was a well organized and amazing trip. 3 days and 2 night for 400$ each. The boat was okay, clean rooms and very efficient staff with chill ambiance. We were only 11 people in our groupe which is a good size. But the best comes from our guide Besho, he’s a very nice person. He’s patient, he takes time to explain. Even when we’re taking time, he doesn’t pressure us. We wish we could have had him to visit the whole egypt. Egyptology travel is serious company, you can trust them (and they didn’t force me to write a review like many agencies in Egypt).

Our guide Adel made our day on the Luxor West Bank an extraordinary experience. With his in-depth knowledge as a professional Egyptologist, he not only provided a deep understanding of each individual site, but also placed everything clearly within a broader historical and cultural context. Adel’s positive energy and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge made the experience both engaging and memorable. He will without hesitation be our guide of choice on our next visit to Egypt.

We booked the 5 Days 4 Nights Nile Cruise Luxor-Aswan With Egyptology Travel. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it.

We did the Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan, 5 days and 4 nights. We had issues with our tours and boat but there was absolutely no issues with Egyptology Travel. Egyptology Travel are a tour company and they work with other tour companies to organise your tours. At Egyptology Travel, they do an amazing job. I highly recommend them. They take care of you from the beginning. They are very clear with their messages. They are very prompt with their responses. I worked with Andy and Khaled. Both were amazing to work with. Some of the things I hope they work on is the kind of tour guides they work with. We liked our tour guides George and Samy a lot. But, the rest weren't that great. The tour guides provided for Edfu, Kim Ombo and Abu Simbel were not that great. The other thing was the boat itself. We had our issues with the boat and informed the boat managers but not much was done but there is nothing that the Egyptology Travel could do, so I am not giving them negative points on that.

Our half-day tour in Luxor was disappointing due to a lack of guidance and historical explanation. At the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, the guide provided almost no information and was largely absent during the visits. After boarding the cruise ship Zeina, our experience improved greatly. Maged Sharawy at reception was patient and helpful, and the housekeeping staff provided excellent service, maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness in our cabin every day. From Edfu Temple to Aswan, we were very lucky to have Samy Saleh as our guide. He has a deep knowledge of Egyptian history and extensive guiding experience. At every site, he explained everything clearly and in great detail, making the history come alive for us. Samy is very professional, responsible, and well-organized, and he took excellent care of all the arrangements. We spent three wonderful and enjoyable days traveling with him, and he truly is an outstanding guide. Many thanks to Samy Saleh, Maged Sharawy, and all the housekeeping staff on board.

We had the great pleasure of exploring the temples of Luxor with George, an outstanding Egyptologist and guide. From the moment the tour began, George impressed us with his deep knowledge, passion for ancient Egyptian history, and ability to bring each site to life through captivating stories and insightful explanations. We visited iconic sites like Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings, and thanks to George’s expertise, we were able to appreciate the historical and cultural significance behind every statue, hieroglyph, and architectural detail. First day of the trip was in luxor, our guide george was on pickup location on time, spoke fluent english, was very clear in instructions and explanation in west side visits and overall very welcoming

So the tour includes what is promised. We were send to the cruise Semiramis 1. The cruise is average, I wouldn’t rate it as 5 starts. The food is good, but the legend “no drinks included” not even includes water! Water is 4 euros a 1L bottle. Only the first day we arrived they gave us two 600ml water bottles, the next days when they clean the room no water was included. By the way, during the trips we saw tons of other better cruises, that they did look like 5 stars, if you are looking for luxury, this is not the place. Even the cruise people, some waiters were super kind, but other like the manager Mahmeud was super rude. All the visits are amazing as you see in the pictures, the temples, all great. We had two different guides, first George Tanagho for two days, and then Samy Saleh for three days. George was amazing! He gave us great tips on how to better enjoy our visit, best spots for pics, and he is super kind and funny. I really liked that he always gave us the historical background, but he was opened for any questions. He does has the historic knowledge but also has an amazing attitude, I would really have loved if he were our guide the whole trip. One of my favorite things about George is that he took us to a local place in Luxor where they elaborate Egyptian alabaster and basalt sculptures. This place was great to get a souvenir, and being a tourist I really appreciated having someone like George to help taking us to a genuine souvenirs shop. The second guide Samy, was not great. He was always in a rush, giving explanations super fast, I came to a point where I preferred to google the information or ask ChatGPT about the places than asking him. The forth day, we went to the Aswan Dum and Philae Island, but we were done by midday. “Casually” he offered an extra trip on a Faluca and a visit to a Nubian village for extra money. Some of the guys in the tour agreed, I decided to take the afternoon to visit the botanical gardens and the Aswan market. I told him I was not interested but asked him if he could explained me how to get a boat to take me to the gardens. When he realized I was not going on his extra tour, he refused to help me, in the end I figure it out by myself. It’s a shame this kind of things happen considering that the tour itself is not cheap, I was just asking for some local advice. ChatGPT helped me more and everything worked out great. Another difference is that George had the tickets purchased in advance, so we had to do no like to get inside, while Samy did not and we lost time while the whole group purchased their tickets. Overall, the tour is complete, the schedule covers all the amazing places in the Nile, the cruise is acceptable, but I believe you can have an amazing guide (like George) or a not so great.

Wonderful nile cruise from luxor to aswan for 4 nights nile cruise, totally like all the details boat was wonderful and guide was amazing.

We spent magnificent time during the tour and at the boat. All of our guides were experienced Egyptologists and the tour itinerary was efficient. The boat is really at 5-star quality. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, the meals are varied and the staff is very friendly, helpful and always welcoming. They also arrange activities on the deck or at the bar in afternoons and evenings. Sunbathing while sailing on the Nile is amazing. I would like to thank to the amazing people who made our trip fascinating: Our guides Adel from Luxor, Hussein from Edfu, Ahmed from Kom Ombo, Valid from Abu Simbel and Omar from Aswan; I totally recommend them. The cruise was great. The boat was clean, the staff very nice and the food very good. We visited a lot of temples and tombs with Haitham and 5 other people. We appreciated that it was a small group, we did not have to worry about transport and programme. Haitham was very nice and explained to us the history of all the places we visited. Wonderful experience , a private car with a chauffeur came to Hurghada to pick us up and brought us back to our hotel in Hurghada all the way from Aswan. The cruise ship was very nice and comfortable. The food on board was very good and varied. Special mention to our guide Mr Nageb Besho who did a wonderful job showing us the highlights of this trip and shared with passion his knowledge of ancient Egypt. Very good trip, really good guides, Adel in Luxor and Omar in Asuán are incredible guides. I recomend to do the nubian village tour too, its so diferent and beautiful. Guide in kom ombo was late, fast and didnt explain too much. All the rest of the trip was amazing.

My family of 4 enjoyed visiting several tombs and temples along the Nile river cruise and had fun with extra activities that were offered before or after visiting the tourist sights. Our tour guide Zakarya Saad bend over backwards to accommodate every guest's needs and special wishes. He is very motivated and wants to provide his group the best experience and knowledge. Zakarya patiently answered any questions we had on details we found during our sight seeing tours and was quick to accommodate special requests as well. While one daughter really liked visiting the Nubian Village (an optional add) the other was stoked to make it to Abu Simbel and Philae Island. It's hard to believe, but we also had ample time to enjoy the sun deck of the cruise ship along with daily tea time despite visiting so many sites. The tour in itself is well organized and everything ran smoothly for tourists.. if there were any issues behind the scenes, tourists were blissfully unaware. Zakarya and the agency worked hard to provide smooth tours and trips.

Since the first moment I got in contact with Mr A Sobhy from Egyptology travel, every thing went perfect. He was always on the other side of the mail or even the phone to resolve any doubt, and when you cannot understand everything around you, such a contact has no price. To start, their offer for this travel is much better price than any other you can find in the “international travel agency” bcs their are local. And I’m talkings about a big difference. The drivers who take us from one place to another where always very good, and in a country like Egypt you really need very good drivers to feel in security. Specially coming from Hurghad or going to Abu Simbel…such a long way in the desert. They where always on time and the cars where clean and comfortable. But be aware in the stops bcs people want to sell you everything…Don’t hesitate to say no, gently. The boat was great, with large and very clean rooms with comfortable beds. The small bath was perfect. The food was incredibly good! So fresh and tasty! You always have beef, chiken, fish, rice, pasta, many many fresh vegetables…I never thought it will be so good in a boat! At evening you can dance… or see a local show. The crew was also very nice and always prone to help you if needed. Our guide, Hamdy was very nice and polite. He organised the visits in a very good way, to make them not very tiring. He told us such many interesting things about the Egyptian culture. We never felt hurry with him. He gave us all the time needed to explore and take pictures around. Because we wanted to leave one day before, they arranged to make all the tours our last day and they arranged also our transfer to the airport, without any fees. Special mention to the lovely tour in boat to Philae temple. I will recommend this travel agency with special mention to Mr A Sobhy and Hamdy to every one going to Luxor, without any hesitation. In fact I’m keeping their contact for my friends :).

We spent five days cruising from Luxor to Aswan. The organization is perfect thanks to Andy and Khaled for organizing everything by informing me every time. Thanks also to the two guides Abel and Sami who took the time to give us all the necessary information for each excursion. The staff on the boat are great the buffet for the very varied meal. We had doubts about what we were going to encounter, especially about the transfers from our hotel from Hurghada to Luxor AR. These transfers were perfect although these on paper seemed long to us. The roads are wide overall well maintained which allows us to quickly jump around Luxor, which allowed us to discover daily life in the rural area. The cruise went perfectly: very clean cabin and cleaning done every day with a little wink from the staff who decorate you on your bed. Very varied catering where everyone can find their happiness. At each stage we had guides to accompany us. Special mention to Samy our guide on Aswan , Abu Simbel and Philae. M

Great cruise on the Nile! We left from Luxor to Aswan, the temples were beautiful and the cruise support was top! We really enjoyed that everything was organized, transport, meals, guides. We spent 5 unforgettable days. We had great meetings with different guides! Adel, a passionate Egyptologist to show us around the Valley of Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Mostafa, a very nice guide with whom we had a good laugh to visit the kom ombo temple. Omar, very good advice, kind and exciting with whom we visited the Temple of Philae in Aswan. He also helped us get our train tickets. Thank you very much Omar! Cruise recommended 100%!! Everything is under control, you just have to enjoy.

We booked online the cruise from Aswan to Luxor with two nights. The boat is 5-star quality, with spacious, clean and well-equipped rooms; meals are varied. Sunbathing and swimming a bit while sailing the Nile is amazing. Our guides (reserved for us) were experienced Egyptologists and spoke excellent English very understandable. Very good in particular Omar in Aswan and Marien in Luxor, who spent eight hours with us, explaining in detail and with passion all the wonders we were visiting. Congratulations for everything and for the great value for money!!!

Very nice cruise on the Nile. Beautiful visits on the program: the temples of Kom Ombo, Edfu and Karnak are beautiful. Many thanks to our guide Esshak who made our stay an unforgettable one. He is very concerned to ensure that the customer is satisfied. The cruise could not depart at the scheduled time due to “Nile level” reasons but he organized other visits to spend time and discover other wonders of Egypt: a Nubian village and a small summit (the tombs of the nobles) from which we could admire the panorama of Aswan. La croisière est très agréable, le personnel est à nos petits soins. Cependant, nous avons trouvé l'organisation des journées assez brouillon et mal planifiée. On aurait aimé plus de flexibilité, plus de communication et moins de boutiques attrapes touristes incluses par défaut dans le programme. Je recommande de réaliser la croisière sans les visites guidées.
