Itinerary
At around 1:00 a.m. you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Cairo in an air-conditioned coach. Once you arrive, you will be met by your tour guide, who will accompany you for the entire tour. The excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which, in addition to its over 120,000 exhibits, also houses the golden coffin of Tutankhamun. Afterwards you will enjoy lunch. The rest of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple located around it. Due to the convoy, the journey from Hurghada to Cairo (one way) can take between 6 and 8 hours, as all buses and cars have to be driven in a police car for security reasons. The coach will drop you off in front of your hotel at around 9:30 p.m.
The excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which, in addition to its more than 120,000 exhibits, also houses Tutankhamun's golden coffin. Afterwards enjoy your lunch.
The further course of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple surrounding it. At the end of the day, if time permits, you will have the opportunity to go shopping before embarking on the return journey to Hurghada.
Afterwards, your mind needs some rest. You can, for example, relax with a boat trip on the Nile and discover Cairo from the water.
If we have time, we can make two characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also be helpful to the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (These visits depend on the time remaining.)

We had a very good tour from Hurghada to Cairo on a 1 day trip to see the pyramides. Bus arrived on schedule and everything worked very well and the guide made it interesting. I will highly recommend to also take the boat trip on Nilen, however this is not included in the tour, we decided to go, and had a very pleasant tour. For us only negative to add is, that the bus seem a bit outdated, as not all seatbelts where working. Although it felt very save to travel, also during the night. /Alexander, from Denmark.

We had a fantastic excursion to Cairo, accompanied by Mohamed and his associate. We left at half past two from our resort and after a pleasant ride we were assigned a guide in Cairo who showed us around the museum about ancient Egypt. Then we visited the impressive pyramids and the sphinx, where Mohamed gave us a lot of interesting explanations. In between we had a great meal. The whole day was well cared for, informative and cozy. At the end Mohamed brought us safely back to the resort. An unforgettable and educational experience that we recommend to everyone!

Never and never again. The journey took a huge amount of time. We sat in the car for 8.5 hours with a driver who could not speak Dutch or English. Once in Cairo our Guide (Hassan) got in the car. This was an old man walking with a stick. We were told that there was a good Dutch speaking Guide. But this man spoke poor Dutch. You really had to listen carefully and sometimes fill in what he meant. Everything was jallah jallah. We were too long at the museum and far too short at the pyramids and the Sphinx. Our Guide made us walk continuously and had little time to take pictures. So everything was too rushed. If you had any questions, he didn't address them, if at all. After our one last activity we talked about paying. Sir thought we should give them an extra tip, while we had agreed the right prices in advance. He called the organization a couple of times, supposedly, and finally it said it was okay. We initially wanted to withdraw money locally. But I got a bad gut feeling and said I would rather withdraw money from our hotel. Because imagine if we paid them right on the spot, maybe they didn't bring us home at all. When he realized that we didn't want to tip, he ignored us and walked a long way ahead. Despite walking old and with a stick, it could walk quite a bit. And said it literally “ we are still going to the Sphinx and then quickly home jallah jallah”. We found this very annoying. We dropped off the Guide. When he got out of the car, he didn't want to say hello to us at first. Later he said bye and slammed the door shut. On the way to our hotel there was first a nasty atmosphere. The driver played rock and rock music. He was also driving gigantically fast, we found this terrifying. But otherwise the driver was friendly. He said he was very tired. He had driven much longer that day. From our hotel to Cairo and back again. And from our hotel to his house was also another 4 hours. We felt a little sorry for him. We agreed among ourselves that we wanted to tip him. The return journey took 4/ 4.5 hours. Once at the hotel as agreed cash ATM and extra tip given. He had counted everything and he knew damn well we had given him extra. He only said “ its okay”. He didn't thank us and left. It's been a special journey. Certainly not worth repeating. We were about 12/ 13 hours in total on the way. Of which we were really in Cairo for 4/5 hours. So too long trip for a few hours of “fun”
