Shams Safaga Resort - All Inclusive

Our vacation at the Shams Safaga Resort was our very first experience visiting Egypt. A lot of Germans, Poles, and, of course, Czechs come here. First and foremost, I’d like to praise the hotel staff, especially the kitchen staff, the hotel restaurant staff, and the bar staff (particularly the Coffee Shop). The food in the restaurant was excellent, and there was always plenty to choose from. Breakfasts were fairly monotonous, but lunches never repeated, and dinners were even themed. If you’re the active type, you’ll also enjoy the entertainment program, as the activity leaders constantly come up with new things to do both during the day and in the evening. The evening program, in particular, is often worth checking out (you can enjoy a quiz or win a prize in the raffle; there’s also a mini-disco for kids). The beach is sandy with a gentle slope into the sea, so you have to go a bit further out to swim. Unfortunately, the lounge chairs don’t come with tables, but you do have something like a windbreak for a bit of privacy. All in all, we had a nice vacation. The hotel has a few shortcomings, but given the price of the stay, they’re easy to overlook. Plus, the staff goes out of their way to accommodate you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you’re traveling with Blue Style Travel Agency, I recommend taking advantage of the excursions offered by the tour representative. He’s a really nice guy and willing to help with anything.

I honestly don’t know where to start, so I’ll start with the hotel staff, without whom this place simply wouldn’t be the same. From the doorman, who was always ready to help, the young man working in security, the people at reception, and the housekeeping staff who do an excellent job, to the gardeners who work so hard to keep every little patch of grass perfect. Of course, there are also the restaurant waiters, who go out of their way for every guest, and the chefs, who prepare wonderful food in abundance — especially the lovely Ibrahim. The waiters at the pool bar and on the beach are always smiling and welcoming, as is the guy who sells shisha. And then there is the wonderful animation team and their manager, who kept us entertained and made us smile endlessly with all the activities and events they organized, which we truly enjoyed. Of course, we also have to mention the guys on the beach, who keep everything perfectly clean and well maintained. Apart from all of them, we also really enjoyed talking to the people working on the beach, at the Vitamin Bar, in the fish restaurant, the photographers, the massage therapists, and the people at Dr. Fish. All of these wonderful people are the reason we felt at home and truly welcomed. Without them, this hotel simply would not be the wonderful place that it is. A huge thank you to every single one of them. I sincerely hope they are appreciated as much as they deserve to be. And now, about everything else. The food is wonderful and varied, with a different themed cuisine every evening — French, Italian, Mexican and Egyptian, which we enjoyed the most. The beach is large, clean and comfortable, and the sea is absolutely beautiful, full of fish and countless corals. We even saw a sea turtle several times! The rooms are comfortable and clean, which was important to us, although honestly, not nearly as important as the wonderful beach and, above all, the wonderful people. This was my second stay at this hotel, and once again I had a wonderful holiday. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and the beautiful coral reef right next to it is a huge advantage. There are many colorful fish, making it a perfect place for snorkeling and discovering the underwater world. The entire staff are friendly, smiling, and always willing to help. The gentlemen at reception are professional, patient, and welcoming. The restaurant staff provide excellent service, the food is fresh and varied, and the bartenders are cheerful and efficient. The animation team is energetic and organizes enjoyable activities during the day and in the evening. I would also like to praise the hotel photographer. He is friendly, talented, and very professional. He created a relaxed atmosphere during the photo session, and the pictures turned out beautiful, natural, and full of wonderful holiday memories. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing holiday in Egypt. Thank you to the whole team for the fantastic service and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 – A wonderful holiday! I’m posting this review on behalf of my mother, who recently stayed at Shams Safaga Resort with her partner. She absolutely loved her stay and had a truly wonderful holiday! The beach is beautiful, the food was very good, and what impressed her most was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful, and made her feel very welcome throughout her stay. There were only two small downsides. Their room was directly opposite the water slides, so it could get a little noisy at times, and the bed was very squeaky. As my mother put it: “We’re not exactly the youngest couple anymore, so I can assure you the squeaking definitely wasn’t caused by us!” 😄 But these were really just minor details and did not spoil her holiday at all. She came home extremely happy and with wonderful memories of her time in Egypt. A huge thank you to the entire team at Shams Safaga Resort for your kindness, hospitality and all the wonderful service.
