By looking at previous reviews I was really excited about this hotel. It was my 3rd stay in Egypt and it was definitely the worst one. I really have no idea how it can be a 5 star hotel even in Egypt. Hotel’s territory is big and looks really nice especially at night. 2 big pools with plenty of sun lounges we were always able to find space without reserving it early in the morning. Beach rocky, beautiful reef but out of 11 days only 3 days there was no red flag during day time as it was very wavy. And that would be all positives about this place. Rooms outdated. Few times electricity and ac went off in whole hotel. No warm water, when we opened water tab every time we were getting brown color water at the start. Food very average, alcohol even worse, wine tastes like spirit mixed with water. No bottled water available at pools or anywhere else, only getting it to room but not every day , had to ask reception to get some as we had no drinks, at the pool after 3-4 pm no juices. Water or some drinks available . Entertainment poor, seating on stairs to watch some amateurs dancing, music same every night. The worst part are queues. Hotel has capacity of well over 1000 people but it is not ready for that, there is only one main restaurant. Everyday we had to wait in long queue in the restaurant to get food, very often plates or glasses were not available, getting a table was very difficult too. Staff was very rude to us, had to report it to manager, one night we have ordered drinks at the lobby, after almost one hour went back to waiter who took our order asking him when can we get drinks and his answer was “me no english” with laugh. We went to bar to get drinks ourselves, barman started to shout at us in his language because we asked for 10 drinks - we were group of 10 people. Spoke to manager after that-he did apologize but next night none of the staff bothered to come and take our order, we were invisible. This is the first time I have experienced anything like this. We have spoke to many guests at the hotel, many of them had same experience, but the problem was not many could speak English so thats why there was nothing fixed. One day one of the staff came over to take our review, after mentioning restaurants issues we were told we can use A la carte at extra cost - who buys all inclusive to pay extra for food? Hotel is not ready for amount of people they can accommodate and attitude of staff is just awful. I definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.

I had a wonderful stay at the JAZ Grand Marsa hotel. It is beautifully situated, well-maintained, and spotless. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the daily housekeeping ensures everything stays tidy. The biggest highlight is the stunning coral reef and crystal-clear water—an ideal spot for snorkeling. The food was tasty and varied, offering something for everyone. The staff deserves special praise; they were incredibly friendly, cheerful, and helpful, making guests feel truly special. The fantastic entertainment team kept everyone amused, so there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend the morning stretching, aqua aerobics, and sunset yoga sessions. Evenings featured various dance shows, musical performances, and discos for both children and adults—there was something for everyone to enjoy. The hotel offers a peaceful, pleasant atmosphere, with beautifully kept pools and gardens. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind away from the daily hustle and bustle.
The hotel animator truly deserves the highest praise! From the very first day, it was clear how dedicated, energetic, and passionate they are about working with people. Always smiling, full of creative ideas, and attentive to guests’ needs – they were able to bring every activity to life and make everyone feel welcome. The entertainment program was very diverse – from sports activities and team games to evening shows and events that will be remembered for a long time. The animator did an excellent job engaging guests of all ages, both children and adults, creating an amazing and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to them, the hotel stay became even more special and full of positive energy. This is someone who truly loves what they do – and it shows in everything they do. I highly recommend! This is my second time in Egypt and my first time (ever) as a resort. I’m glad it was here. To be honest, I was afraid of things being so in your face, however, it was a lovely, easy way to ease into it. The hotel has a lovely drive way, inviting entrance and great lobby (that doubles up in evenings for people to relax, play games etc.) The room is well appointed, clean and comfortable. There’s a TV (we haven’t turned it on when there’s amazing sunsets, the sea, nice gardens, games and pools all around!) it’s cleaned to a very high standard every day. The evening entertainment is very relaxed and subtle, from music to Tombola. There is also a super selection of trips. We’ve done great ones on the quad bikes into the desert and to a Bedouin camp and then an amazing trip to Luxor! One of the highlights is the friendly service - from the attentive waiters, animators (shout out to Lucy and Aladin) and the chefs. Speaking of food, there’s a wonderful, rotating selection. Some days there are themes e.g. oriental. As well as BBQ and love cooking (such as shwarma, koftas, grilled chicken etc.) however, I’ve really been impressed with the Egyptian and middle eastern food. Would I comeback? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to friends and family - absolutely yes!
We had a wonderful stay at Jaz Grand Marsa and truly enjoyed our time there. The resort is very spacious, so everyone has plenty of room and you never feel crowded – you can really relax and breathe freely. The beach is good by Egyptian standards and offers plenty of marine life to observe. You can enter the sea directly from the beach or use the pier, which is very convenient. Our room was clean and housekeeping worked flawlessly throughout our stay. It’s true that some of the room furnishings have clearly seen better days, but it didn’t bother us personally and everything functioned as it should. We were satisfied with the food – there was a wide selection and everyone can find something they like. The staff was friendly and helpful, as is typical in Egypt. The only thing we didn’t particularly enjoy was the daily approach from the wellness staff trying to sell massages. During our 7-day stay, we were approached at least once a day and encouraged to book a treatment. While we understand it’s part of the service, it felt a bit too frequent. We also really enjoyed the animation programs. Our family especially appreciated the mini disco and the evening shows. It’s clear that the animation team is very talented and puts a lot of effort into preparing great performances. Greetings to Lucy, Karim and the rest of the team!
