We had a great day! Our driver Mr. Duc was on time and did a great job allday. Our tour guide Mr Tam is amazing!! He lived through the war and was able to give first hand experience and reference to every site. He was funny and engaging for the day. Ask for him!!

Itinerary
At 7:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel/ homestay in Hue city and we start the Hue DMZ tour. Our driver will stop at La Vang church for you to visit and capture photos. La Vang church is a famous pilgrimage place for Catholics in Vietnam. A story of the Virgin Mary came out in this area in 1978 to bless the Christians in difficulties and accidents. So they built a holy shrine close to the three banyan trees.
After that, we will pick up our local guide to visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai river is a very clear boundary that separates Vietnam into two parts. During the France and Indochina war, it was made on the 17th parallel to divide Vietnam into northern and southern parts with two different governments who work independently.
Dakrong Bridge is the beginning point of one of the main trails of Ho Chi Minh that leads to the border with Laos. This was the main access point during Vietnam war.
Keep doing the Vietnam DMZ Tour, we will explore Khe Sanh Combat base is a very important and famous site. It is the place where most popular of Vietnam was fought for almost 75 days. There is a small museum on the old camp site that contains old fascinating photographs of Vietnam war, American aircrafts and a few reconstructed bunkers.
Vinh Moc Tunnels network was not constructed for war purposes whereas they were only used as shelters for civilians. They are considered as the most successful tunnels plan during war. We will get compete guidance about the place and ample of time to explore the museum, underground tunnels, village with family rooms, clinics, wells, stoves, meeting rooms, exits to the sea and more.

I travelled solo and personally arranged this tour, and I can say without hesitation that every element surpassed even my highest expectations. From the moment the journey began, the service felt refined, seamless, and truly first‑class. The vehicle provided was a pristine, spacious electric VinFast Limo — immaculate inside and out, whisper‑quiet, and exceptionally comfortable for a full‑day itinerary. The journey involved roughly eight hours of driving, yet not once did the driver’s focus waver. Every manoeuvre was smooth, precise, and safe. Mr. Lee is not just a driver; he is a consummate professional whose calm confidence sets the tone for the entire day. My guide, Ms. Thach, was equally outstanding. Her deep knowledge of the war’s history, combined with her ability to bring each museum and landmark to life, made the experience both educational and unforgettable. The tunnels were the highlight for me — an extraordinary part of the tour — and she guided me through every level with expertise and reassurance, even carrying a backup torch in case of any lighting issues. Her attention to detail was exceptional. Communication from the operator was flawless throughout. I received timely reminders, clear instructions, and full details for every stage of the trip. Any question I asked — whether via WhatsApp or email — was answered quickly, accurately, and with genuine care. From beginning to end, I felt like a VIP. This was not just a tour; it was a perfectly orchestrated experience delivered by a team who take pride in excellence.
An incredible experience. The driver, Mr. Duc was welcoming, punctual and took us to an additional church on the way home as a recommendation. The guide, Mr. Tam, was exceptional and loved answering all our questions. He drew on personal experience of the war and extensive knowledge to provide an extremely thorough tour. Both Mr. Duc and Mr. Tam went out of their way to tailor the experience to our specific interests, making the tour particularly memorable. Perfect for anyone interested in the history of the DMZ.
The guide (Ms Hai) was very informative and very nice. listening to her narrate the conflict while also mentioning her family and personal experiences surrounding it left a much deeper impact. overall, we learnt a lot about the political history of vietnam and how much the people have struggled for freedom and independence. it was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend. The driver (Mr Duc) was also very polite even though it was an exhausting day for him
What a fantastic day. Although it was a long journey from Da Nang (around four hours each way), it was absolutely worth every minute. Our driver, Mr. Đứcc, was excellent throughout the trip. He was punctual, professional, courteous, and drove safely, making the long journey comfortable and enjoyable. The scenic drive over the Hải Vân Pass and past the beautiful lagoons was a great way to start the day. Our guide, Ms. Thach, was outstanding. Her knowledge of the Vietnam War and the DMZ was exceptional, and she brought the history to life with detailed explanations and fascinating insights. She was engaging, professional, and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. Together, they made for a first-class experience. The DMZ is a powerful and important place to visit, and having such a knowledgeable guide and diligent driver made the trip truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Da Nang who wants to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s history. A very long day, but one that we will remember for a long time. 👍👍👍
I had a great time and learned a lot. I am a historian and came with very specific questions. Ms. Hai was an excellent guide and willing to answer all of my many questions. Mr. Phuc is a great driver! Thank you
I looked up the best operators to do this private tour. Without doubt this was worth the money from start to finish. Mr Phuoc was the driver and was there a few minutes before we came down. He was courteous and attentive. His driving throughout the day was careful and considerate and he made us feel safe throughout - something you cannot take for granted in SE Asia. We picked up Ms Hai and she immediately explained the tour and what we would do. She then started to explain all the history of how the Vietnamese War (American War) came to be. She explained the french rule and how that ended and transitioned into the war with the USA. Her knowledge was extensive but she pitched it at a really understandable level that made everything completely clear. Throughout the day she brought the places we visited to life with more information and stories from the war. My wife and I absolutely recommend this tour if you really want to know the detail of the struggle of the Vietnamese people.
I was tempted to give 4 stars because of these two negatives. However I won’t because one of them I knew about ahead of time and another is personal to just me. -you are driving in a car for 4-5 hours. Out of the 9 hours you are driving for have of it - be aware. -if you’re super knowledgeable about Vietnam war history, this actually might not be as mind blowing as you’d expect. I’m a history teacher and I guess I didn’t find myself too “wow’d”. Nevertheless our tour guide Ms. Hai and the driver Mr. Hao were awesome. Very personable, very informative, paced the tour to our liking (we skipped a spot and spent more time at another, we weren’t rushed on anything we wanted to see). They both answered our questions on anything we asked. Driving was a little crazy and aggressive but that is every driver in Vietnam so just accept / expect that and you’ll be good. Ms. Hai was very clear in her details and story telling of various history, and Mr. Hao had a great sense of humor and was very respectful and fun to cruise with. Khe sanh was a big field that has been remodeled with fake trenches and replica sfuff, and a few US tanks / aircraft that were salvaged to post up at the spot. Still cool to see and be there. The tunnels were super awesome. Hard to move around in but easy compared to the really small and tourist crowded cu chi tunnels outside of Saigon. What I did like about the very long drive was how ‘deep’ we went into the countryside. You def got to experience and get a taste of rural Vietnam and places not traveled too much by tourists. Overall I’ll still give this 5 stars and would recommend to anyone that is a history buff. Just be ready to spend half the tour in a car.
Really enjoyed this tour especially with Ms Trach! Wow she was so knowledgeable and engaging. A very moving trip. She also took us to a local pho place for lunch. Driver from Hue was on time and safe. Highly recommend this tour.
The driver Mr. Lan spoke very good English and was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The guide Ms. Thach was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information about the war and tunnels. Highly recommend this tour.
I found Ma Thach and Mr Hao to be wonderful and knowledgable hosts. I asked to be taken to the DMZ above Hue . Ms Thach was extremely knowledgable of the history of Vietnam, its colonization period and the factors leading up to the more recent war. Her local perspective definitely changed my perpsective.in a most positive way. The expedition was well worth it. I highly recommend it, thank you
I had a great time on this private tour to the DMZ and a side trip to the Khe Sahn. Mr Lieu, my driver did an excellent job getting us around the sites and took some very professional looking photos of me at a couple of stops. Highly recommended, very professional company. I hope to use them again some day.
Great trip with our guide Ms. Thach and our driver Mr. Hau. Lots of great insight into what can be a complicated history. Would recommend. As a note on expectations there is quite a bit of driving as things are a bit spaced out.
I highly recommend booking a tour and transfer service with this company. I messaged them through WhatsApp and they were quick and efficient in accommodating my needs. We had a private tour of the Vinh Moc tunnels with Ms. Thach who was extremely prepared in answering all our questions and her English was perfect. She was also extremely kind with me since I am a bit claustrophobic. Our driver, Mr. Luyen, was professional and very nice. We had a last minute change of plans and the company and driver helped us out by bringing us to our new destination which was an extra 2-hour drive. Highly recommend!!!
My family visiting from the UK and my 8 year old daughter and I who live in Singapore had a wonderful day with our driver Mr. Hao and our tour guide Ms. Thach on a full day tour of the DMZ and the vinh moc tunnels and would recommend this tour along with our driver and tour guide. Mr. Hao was an excellent driver making his was skillfully through the 3.5-4 hour journey from Da Nang where we were staying. Ms. Thach deep knowledge on the history leading up to the Vietnam war, war itself and post war was impressive. I learnt so much about led to the US involvement despite thinking I knew a lot I actually knew very little and is very interesting whilst being incredibly sad about the Vietnamese people endured. I was a little apprehensive about the tunnels being narrow and small, yet despite being over 6ft (I did have to crouch) but not any point did I or my 70 year old mum feel paniced or claustrophobic. Compared to other tunnel systems in Vietnam these were comfortable to navigate and Ms. Thach did an excellent job to ensure that we were only the ones in a certain part of the tunnel at any given point in time. During our visit to Vietnam we did many tourist activities and my 8 year old daughter said this was her favourite, even over sun world and all the rides. Per my earlier comment I would recommend this tour and request Mr. Hao and Ms. Thach.
The whole family, including 2 teenagers, really enjoyed this drive and tour of the DMZ and tunnels with Mr Tai (driver) and Mr Tam (guide). We learned a great deal about Vietnam's history from Mr Tam, along with many fascinating personal insights from his experiences of the American Vietnam war. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, it was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Mr Tai was an excellent driver and helpful too. Many thanks. We highly recommend this activity.
We had a great time! We only had time for a half day tour, next time the Base. The trip was highly educational for both me and my nephews, who are 6 and 10 years old. Our driver, Mr. Tried, was excellent—both skilled behind the wheel and very knowledgeable about the area. Though he speaks little English, I was able to communicate with him in Vietnamese, which was helpful. He was incredibly patient, attentive, and kind. Our tour guide, Ms. Hair, spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. We had fun walking the bridge, museum, going through the Vinh Moc Tunnel, The boys and I learned so much and genuinely enjoyed our visit to the DMZ. I highly recommend this tour guide.
We booked a half-day tour spontaneously. The agency was super helpful and organized everything short notice. Because it was a half-day tour we had a private driver and private tour guide. Everything was really smooth. The driver Mr. Nam was helpful, friendly and explained the locations as we passed them. He drove not aggressively like some other drivers Our guide Mr. Tam was very knowledgeable. His English was great to understand. He grew up during the war and shared first hand experience.
Mrs. Teach did a fantastic job explaining the history of the decades long battle for independence in Vietnam. The tour was exceptional. Hue is also an excellent city for a multi-day visit.
5/5 - excellent transfer service. Mr Lieu was a very good driver. Stopped at several sites on the way for us to stop and take photos and look around the area. A good way to see some sites while transferring between cities.
Our transfer to the Bach Ma National Park was safe and comfortable. The car was very clean. Our driver Mr. Lieu was very polite and attentive. He drove the car carefully and arrived on time.
Not really a DMZ tour, but we had a transfer from PhongNha to Hue, and stopped at Vinh Moc tunnel museum, the DMZ (at Ben Hai river bridge) and a church. Tunnels and bridge were impressive. Our driver, mr Luyen was a very friendly young man and an excellent, calm driver. He gave us enough time for at our stops and was really one of the easiest drivers I had so far in Vietnam. We used google translate for our communication, which worked fine. Spacious and clean car. All in all I would highly recommend this service (and mr Luyen as your driver!).
We got a very good local guide with the Culture Pham Operator. Hoa was an excellent guide and very passionate about the topic of the war. The inside perspective was very balanced and fair to all sides, providing a really informative and educational day for us. The journies between sites would be quite monotonous with a poor guide but she made the tour. The price of c. 2,200,000 VDNG for two of us was reasonable and one would hope that the guides get a good cut from it.
We had a relaxed day from Hue to Vinh Moc and back with several stops along the road and enough time to walk around at each stop. Mr Luyên is an excellent, polite and punctualiteit driver. His car was spotless and he was in time at our hotel. We want to thank him again for bringing back the cap which we forgot in his car.
The best tour in our vacation in Vietnam. Our guide Ms. Thach was so knowledgeable. She is one of the best guides we had in our trips. The driver was also friendly and thoughtful. Highly recommend this tour.
We were picked up from Hoi An in the morning. The driver was there on time and the car was very spacious. The driver, Mr Lieuu, was great! He was so nice and patient, he just wanted us to have a great time. He was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour. We covered everything we wanted in one day. Great service.
Phong Nha locals were very good to deal with. Prompt, professional and well organized. We took a private car from Hue to Phong Nha with Mr De and we was friendly, helpful and a great driver. We stopped at a few sites in the former DMZ and he was always helpful. Thank you, Mike Hilton, New Zealand
What a lovely day to learn about Vietnam War with our tour guide Mr. Tam. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. Lunch was good and included in the tour price. We enjoyed Vinh Moc tunnels a lot and it was such a great work of the Vietnamese.
Amazing Vietnam DMZ tour with our best tour guide Ms. Thach. She is super knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We learned so much about the Vietnam War and it was a great experience. Thank you, Ms. Thach and I surely recommend this tour to all people I know.
We booked our tour through Culture Pham Travel and had a great day trip from Hue up to the DMZ and Khe Sanh. Our tour guide Mr. Tam was fantastic. He was born the year the Geneva Peace Accords were signed and he grew up during the period leading up to and through the Vietnam War / American War. He gave us so much historical information as well as sharing his personal experiences and made the tour unforgettable. Highlights included walking across the Hien Luong Bridge and exploring the Vinh Moc tunnel systems. Kids loved seeing the old planes and helicopters at Khe Sanh combat base. Also a huge thank you to our driver Mr. Huong who got us up and back safely and expertly navigated the roads filled with cargo trucks carrying goods from VN to Laos to be exported by rail up to China. Grandparents, parents and kids all enjoyed our day trip and were happy to get back to Hue nearly 12 hours after we left.
Great trip with Ms Thach as a guide and Mr Hao as the driver. We had a long trip because they had adapted it so we could be picked up at Da Nang Airport. That was a great help. We saw the Khe Sanh War Museum and Vinh Moc tunnels. Both things were very interesting and thoughtful. Ms Thach’s knowledge is incredible, she knows everything about Vietnam’s history! Mr Hao was a good driver and often offered us to stop for food or drinks.
