The view from the top was spectacular, and the trek to the lakes and waterfall were well worth the effort. Great guide!

We loved our trek thru Bach Ma national park with Sam as our thoughtful guide. We had adventure hiking to five awesome lakes and a refreshing swim! It was a lot cooler up in the hills and no crowds!
We had a relatively large group needed a van and car. However Ben did a great job keeping us all safe at all times. We took the more adventurous route which was lots of scrambling down rocks. The 4 pools were beautiful. We carried in a picnic lunch made by the tour owners wife and ate and swam at pool 3. It was lovely to be up in the cool mountains and swim in the cool very refreshing water. After nearly dying in the heat on a Hue city tour yesterday this was a lovely break from oppressive heat and such a great day hiking and seeing something different. Highly recommend.
Beautiful National Park but there were issues regarding safety. If you love your family don’t take them on the foot trail called the “adventure trail.” Especially if it’s wet. My wife broke her arm, and we feel fortunate that was all that happened.
We had an amazing day with our tour guide from firefly travel! It was just myself and my partner wanting to do Bach Ma NP that day and they still ran the tour for us which was super helpful! They also organised our onward transport (car) to Hoi An afterwards (as the tour picked up from hue) Customer service is 5*, couldn’t have been more helpful and our tour guide was great! We loved swimming in the waterfall pool and had a hot packed lunch included with the trip which was very tasty. Would highly recommend this trip if you want to get out of the city and into nature for the day :)
We didnt have the best experience - mostly due to the bad weather. We couldnt see anything from the Mountain top and hiked along the 5 lakes in pouring rain. We felt quite rushed - with slippery ground and leeches everywhere it was not the nicest hike. We had to skip the third stop due to the heavy rain and flooding. Overall this trip should have been cancelled due to the weather conditions. Also, the main road in the park was partially washed away and driving there didnt feel safe. I‘m sure it’s quite nice when the weather conditions are good. The tourguide Sam knew the area very well and gave good insights. Lunch was nice, too.
Amazing day out. Minibus pick up and drop offs to and from hotel and drive to near the top of the park we’re helpful. Sam is a very good guide, with lots of knowledge. The waterfalls and pools were beautiful and some special wildlife was sighted.
Great day trip from Hue. The guide is very knowledgeable and will give you insights on the history of the mountain and the area. It’s not a very long hike (in total around 7k) but it’s a fun one
We travelled with a slightly bigger group than I expected, just over 10 of us, but everything went smoothly. The tour is well organised, from food and drinks to raincoats for everyone when we were caught in torrential rain (the only downside of our day tour). The tour operator confirmed ahead of the time on what to expect, what to bring with us. Our tour guide, Sam, was very experienced with the route. On our hike, he pointed out all these trees and insects that we might not have caught ourselves. Our driver (I think his name is Phuoc) was also excellent. The road up to the top was NOT easy, some of the turns were almost 360 degrees! And there was the rain on our way back on top of that! The hike itself was slightly more strenuous than I expected, possibly because we took the adventurous route but both my parents were able to do it (60+) just fine. Compared to similar hiking sites in Vietnam e.g. Tam Dao in the north or Ba Na Hills in central Vietnam, I much prefer Bach Ma since there hasn’t been much building done to the area and nature is very much well preserved. Overall, highly recommend Bach Ma as a day trip and Firefly as the tour operator.
Great day, walking through the mountains and well taken care of us. A beautiful day to remember. Our guide, San, was amiable, and he also provided significant help in finding our phone back when it slid accidentally into the water.
Wonderful and varied nature experience. Sam was a great, experienced guide with a good sense of humor. He got us safely out when the rivers turned torrential. Enjoyed the cool views and all the water.
I chose this tour as I’m a huge nature lover and I have to say this was far better than I could have ever expected! You can always tell when someone is passionate about what they do and Sam was exactly that. As a solo English speaking traveler I felt comfortable and attended to the entire time and learned so much about the national park and its history. Sam even showed us a few spots that weren’t planned ( an old war tunnel) and we actually got to walk through it! It was SOO COOL! The lunch was also delicious and plentiful, we stopped and ate at the 1st lake with an amazing view! Thank you agian for an amazing time I will defiantly be back:)
I highly recommend this trekking tour!! It became an unforgettable memory. I was able to learn more about the goodness of Vietnam. Since it might rain on the day, I recommend a raincoat. It would be more convenient if there were also changing facilities.
Very well organized, with a nice and attentive guide. The little extra would have been to have a Francophone guide. The park is a beauty wonder
There were two of us on this tour together with another family. Sam was our tour guide. As a small group we are in a minibus from Hue to Bach Ma National Park. The bus goes almost to the top and parks there. The last few vertical meters you walk very relaxed. Along the way Sam showed us some wild animals (e.g. chameleons) and told us some interesting things about it. Once at the top there was a beautiful view of the lagoon and a delicious coffee. Afterwards we went down a bit further by bus to make the hike at the 5 lakes. The path there is wet and partly slippery, so be sure to put on sturdy footwear! Arrived on 3. Lake we then took a lunch break. Each of us got a lunchbag from Sam, with delicious freshly cooked, hot food. Afterwards there was the possibility to swim in the lake, super refreshing! After cooling down we went past the other two lakes to a waterfall. Very impressive! After the waterfall, we walked past a large Buddha statue back to the van. Overall we walked about 7km. We had a lot of fun yesterday and would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who likes to be in nature and sometimes needs a dip from the city. Also big thanks to Sam, he did the tour really well!
We hiked as a family with our children aged 7 and 4. We were a small group of 8 people and we had a great time in the Bach Ma forest. The guide spoke good English and took the time to explain to us the environment and the history of the Vietnam War, part of which took place in this forest. The meal provided is also excellent. Unfortunately we were not able to see the 5 lakes, but only the last two because the path to see the first three is too dangerous for young children. Despite everything, we had a beautiful hike and we were able to admire the waterfall towards the end of the circuit. This is a great activity to do from Hue.
