Not what I expected, but so much better! Paradise Cave was spectacular, the swim through Dark Cave was a little spooky but so cool. I had Lily as my guide, & she was quite funny & looked after us all well :)

It was a good trip and Lily was a good guide. She was funny, helpfull and Very kind. She knew a lot about the place.
Lily and jessica were our guides for this wonderful day out amongst caves and rivers and mud baths, all in all a great day out!! 10/10
my guide lily was lovely and very helpful, the day was super fun and honestly i think this is the cheapest option and it gives you a full day of stuff, the mud run and obstacle course is defiently a highlight and addition to the caves
A must-do for adventure-seekers going to Phong Nha. Our tour guide, Lily, was absolutely hilarious and wonderful throughout the whole tour. The tour bus picked us up from our hotel in Phong Nha and took us to the Paradise Cave to start. There was a short incline hike long a well-paved path to get to the cave, where we got some free time for ourselves (around 1 hour). Next, lunch was provided by the tour company at a restaurant in the park, which included a whole variety of delicious foods (there was something for everyone)!. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions as well. Afterwards, we were given time to change into swimwear for the Dark Cave. We were provided with hardhats with head lamps, and more jackets. We ziplined all the way to the cave opening, and swam around 20 metres to the cave entrance (it was super easy since everyone had a life jacket on). Lily, our tour guide, was proactive in taking pictures of every group member at various points during the tour as she was mindful that most of us could not take our phone in (unless we had some sort of waterproof pouch). The Dark Cave tour was our favourite part as it felt so adventurous to explore a cave in complete darkness, having to mildly climb and swim at some points in the cave. It was truly so fun and so different from anything else we’ve done in Vietnam. Lastly, there was an optional Duck Stop part of the tour as we headed back as well!
Jessica/Tea was an incredible guide that is full of energy and kindness. She is super knowledgeable of the Phong Nha Caves history and presents relatable with great sense of humor. We loved the tour and are very thankful for the support given throughout the experience.
The tour was well organized and we have been able to do all the program as scheduled. Lily our guide was very sweet, she explained to us interesting stuff about those giant caves and making sure we were fine always with the smile. The good thing also is that she mostly gave the informations on the road so we could visit freely the cave at our rythme afterwards !
Great experience overall. The pickup and drop off were on time and the pace of the activity was excellent. Lily was a wonderful guide. Both the caves are gorgeous and huge. must visit!
The company and tour guide (LiLy) provided what was advertised. Our vegan lunch request was accommodated with good variety and opportunity to try multiple foods including soup, vegetables, and tofu.
I would like to give a special thanks to our tour guide, Tra, for her excellent service today. She was very enthusiastic, punctual, attentive, and always made sure that all guests were well taken care of throughout the day. Her friendliness, professionalism, and thoughtful support made our experience even more enjoyable.
Booked this tour with pick up and drop off from Hue, it’s a long drive but well worth 💯! Our tour guide David was absolutely amazing! He shares knowledge about the culture and history of Vietnam and caves. Both were so beautiful, if you like nature, culture, and history. THIS IS MUST VISIT!
I would like to thank Jessica for such a great trip. She was very gracious and patient. Her explanation of the cave complex was very informative. Thanks again!
Jessica was great! She made sure everyone had a good time
We had so much fun on this day-long trip! The caves were beautiful and the boat trip was very smooth. Jessica (Tra) was an amazing tour guide - she always had a positive attitude and tried to connect with every member of the group. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to go on this trip!
The full day tour of Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave from Hue begins with an early (4:15am) pickup in Hue , and a 3.5 - 4 hour drive to Dong Hoi, but you can catch up on sleep on the very comfy van ride (though you will miss seeing the beautiful countryside as the sun rises if you do fall asleep!). The two caves are spectacular, with amazing mineral formations. Water is provided, as is lunch between visits to the two caves. You can then catch up on any further rest you may need on the return drive home to your hotel in Hue. Shout out to our very animated and friendly guide Tra (or Jessica, being her english name), who was a fountain of knowledge of the caves, the history of the area and the people who live in it. You will also get a crash course in the most important Vietnamese words, as well as tips on the ways that food is different in northern, central, and southern Vietnam. Highly recommended!!
I had a great time yesterday July 2, 2026 touring the Paradise and Phong Nha cave with our amazing and very friendly tour guide Jessica/Tra. She talks english very well and a lot of information she shares with us during the tour. As solo traveller from the Philippines, booking in SOVABA is the best decision I made as I did not felt alone during the tour. The lunch also was very yummy and the transportation was door to door from hotel vice versa. I can recommend to everyone booking at Sovaba the staff will contact you every now then before the tour. Mabuhay Sovaba! Thank you so much to all of you!
Paradise Cave is truly exceptional. it’s one of the natural wonders of the world. We really enjoyed the cool, refreshing temperature deep inside the cave, which made the visit even more comfortable and memorable. Our tour guide, Tra, was outstanding. She explained every detail clearly and made sure everyone was well taken care of as we ventured deeper into the cave. Her knowledge, professionalism, and attentiveness greatly enhanced the experience. The only downside was the transportation. The transfer took longer than expected because we had to pick up and drop off other passengers along the way. Other than that, the tour was excellent and well worth the visit
Great communication from the company. Reply to our message super quick and clear. We initially messed up our drop off place, but they helped us to fix that real quick. For the actual tour, Jessica (Tra) is an amazing tour guide. She is very knowledgeable about this place and is very happy to answer any questions. I had a great experience overall. Both caves are absolutely amazing and beautiful.
The tour from Hue to Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave was excellently organized. Our guide, Jessica, constantly made sure that we didn’t get lost among the crowds of tourists visiting the caves. She demonstrated extensive knowledge and shared it with us in an engaging and interesting way. My package included lunch, which was very tasty and varied. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.
The day trip to the two caves was very interesting. Our guide, Lily, explained everything perfectly. She presented her country with passion. She always had a competent answer to any additional questions we asked. Lily clearly enjoys her work. Thank you for the wonderful day.
Our trip to Phong Nha - Ke Bang was wonderful and unforgettable! The caves were beautiful. And our guide, David, was so nice; he took great care of us throughout the tour. We had an amazing tour.
I want to be fair because parts of this tour were genuinely great. The caves were stunning, the locals manning the boats are incredible and should be supported, our drivers were safe, and our guide David was personable and made genuine efforts to make the day memorable for us. The overall experience had enough issues though that I feel other travelers should know what to expect before booking. The problems started before we even got in the car. I was told the day before by Sovaba staff that 4 people would be on the tour including us, with pickup at 4:15-4:20AM. She asked us to accommodate them by meeting on the main road since the vehicle might not fit our hotel alleyway, which we’d agreed to. On the morning of, I received a WhatsApp message at 4:26AM while already standing outside, informing me that the original 16-seater van had been switched to a 7-seater due to a broken rearview mirror. I understand things happen, but I wished it was communicated earlier. We also aren’t local and were navigating this at 4AM, so we ended up on the wrong end of the alleyway. The car that picked us up ultimately drove through the alleyway anyway since it was empty at that hour. Before I got into the 7-seater, the driver flipped the chairs up in the back row but didn’t indicate anyone should sit there or fold down the middle seats to make it easier to climb back, so I squeezed into the middle row with two other people. Despite knowing it would be a long drive, he made no effort to direct us to the more comfortable back row. When we arrived at the Dong Hoi office, no staff directed us or let us know what was happening. I had to follow up myself to find out, and was told the guide had just been contacted. We were standing outside with no information while several Sovaba staff sat inside. I was genuinely confused at being left without in-person guidance this early in the day. What made it more frustrating was finding out the group was significantly larger than what I’d been told. By the time the tour started at the national park around 9:45AM, there were 13 people total. I am usually fine with group tours, but I had specifically asked about group size the day before and was told 4 people. The discrepancy and the additional stops to pick people up added to an already frustrating morning. Towards the end of the tour around 4:30PM at their Dong Hoi office, the Sovaba staff came to explain the morning situation and apologize in English. Although the gesture was appreciated, it came at the end of a long day and was directed at my sister after she verified my sister’s name, despite my name being on the reservation and all communication having gone through me. Afterwards, she spoke to our return driver in Vietnamese and referred to my sister and I as “hai bà” while pointing at us. I speak Vietnamese. For a woman in her 30s, “chị,” “cô,” or “bạn” are all standard and appropriate. “Bà” used by someone of similar or younger age toward paying clients, not as a close friend and not in a joking context, is dismissive and unprofessional. Lastly, we were told we would be back in Hue by 8:30PM. We arrived at 9:15PM and were the last drop off despite not being the first pickup. All of these things could have been manageable if the communication had been upfront. I would have been fine with a smaller car, a longer drive, a bigger group, and a later return had I known going in. One thing I didn’t notice until after the tour was that when the photos came back, they were almost exclusively of other tourists in our group. My sister and I only appeared in the group shots despite being on the same tour and having tipped both the guide and the boat rowers, which we observed many others in our group did not do. I can’t say with certainty what drove that, but it was a pattern worth noting for others who may be considering this tour. The caves are absolutely worth seeing and David was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating day. If you book this tour, go in knowing that logistics and communication may not match what you’re told in advance.
Today, we got the visit of Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave with tour guide Jessica (Trà). Caves were so magic and nice experience as it is 20 degres inside when outside it is 38 degres. Jessica was full of energy, took time to discuss with all visitors to explain cave s history. The agency was flexible and could arrange to drop me at airport to catch my flight! I strongly recommend this experience Thanks Jessica!
This was the best tour we've ever taken. The guide, Jessica, was very professional, interesting, and humorous. Thanks to her, we got to explore the beautiful caves of Paradise and Fog Nya.
My partner and I both really enjoyed the experience, the pickup and drop off service even staying in Hue was great. Our tour guide Jessica was very experienced and had great energy throughout the tour ensuring it was just a boring experience repeating information. Overall a great experience you’ll be lucky to get Jessica as your guide
Sovaba Travel provide amazing tours. Jessica our tour guide was informative and provided all the information our group required. She was kind and spread her time with all of us. I will highly recommed them to anyone traveling to Vietnam.
Greaatttt experience, jessica was so nice !
We had a great time on our tour today! The weather was unbelievably hot, but the caves were nice and cool so had a great time exploring the caves. Our tour guide Jessica, was very informative and was able to give us a lot of information about the caves and the history of the area. She was also very funny, energetic and friendly, which made our experience even better. I highly recommend this tour, and hopefully you have Jessica as your tour guide!
Activity not to be missed. Jessica our guide is dynamic and really friendly
It was an amazing tour! Jessica was a great guide and very energetic and informative. Overall highly recommend the tour!
We had a fantastic tour of the Paradise and Phong Nha Caves with our tour guide Jessica. The views were breathtaking and our guide was super attentive and friendly, making sure our group was well looked after and had a great experience. I’d highly recommend this tour company if you are looking to explore the caves, which are a must when in Central Vietnam!
Had a great time visiting Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave! They were both so beautiful and our guide Jessica was great! She was funny and knowledgeable and made our tour that much better. Highly recommend doing the tour with Sovaba and Jessica!
Jessica was an amazing guide, very friendly very knowledgeable. she had the whole experience a. lot better. i did the two cave tour. would recommend, very beautiful caves. very easy transportation from hue and back.
Great day out seeing Paradise & Phong Nha caves. Caves so beautiful and majestic. Tour was made fun and entertaining by our tour guide Jessica.
Good pre-tour communication from Sovaba Travel. The driver picked us up punctually at around 4:25am. One thing about joining a group tour is that there will be multiple pick-ups and drop-offs for other participants along the way. I would appreciate having an option to choose the type of transport, as 19/20-seater buses are simply not comfortable for long journeys. The seats cannot be adjusted for proper rest, and I would personally prefer a Dcar Limo 9-seater bus for a more comfortable experience. On one occasion, the driver did not ensure all passengers are back from toilet break and luckily my vietnamese girlfriend informed him to stop. Nevertheless, the tour guide was informative and friendly, which made the trip enjoyable. We preferred Paradise Cave over Phong Nha Cave as it looks nicer. Highly recommended to visit these beautiful caves if you are in Huế.
When we booked this activity I didn’t realize how far away it was but that’s my bad. Almost 8 hours round trip from the Melia Vinpearl (this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in in Vietnam so far - they even packed a to-go breakfast for us for our 4:15 AM pickup). The caves were magnificent and the hike up to Paradise Cave entrance was plenty of exercise as well as the trek through the cave. Our driver was awesome needless to say including a couple of pit stops along the way. Our tour guide Lilly was knowledgeable but we’re starting to realize that every tour (this is our ~ 12th tour so far in 3.5 weeks) is pretty much the same providing the same type of info about the culture and history. This is fine but every tour is mixing in too much “politics” about the Vietnam war. I am a baby boomer American and it is not appropriate to mix politics with the relaxation and discovery one seeks while on vacation. Too stressful for the customer. I suggest that the Vietnam tourist curriculum be reviewed so Vietnam’s tourist industry will continue to grow by providing a better customer experience.
Our tour guide Jessica did an amazing job during our of Phong Nha Cave & Paradise Cave Full-Day. She talk us some vietnamese and had a fun deminoar about heself. Our driver did well and worked hard during a 17 hour tour as well.
We have had an amazing experience at Phong Nha and Paradise Caves with this tour operated by Sovaba Travel. Our guide, Jessica Trà, is very passionate, so much funny and it has been a very good guide for all the group. It was a long trip from Hue (between 4.5 and 5 hours to go, and the same to come back), but the caves are worth: we first visited Paradise Cave, for about 2 hours, and it was so impressive; then, we had a very good lunch at the restaurant; and, finally, visited Phong Nha Cave, which is really beautiful, by boat. We definitely would recommend this tour and we would do it again with Jessica. Te amo! Hahaha
Great tour, David was super chill, knew his stuff, made everything easy. Highly recommend
It was a truly nice experience, the caves are really impressive. During the tour we learned a lot about the caves and the history of their discovery, moreover our guide Trà told us about Vietnamese culture. I really appreciate that and definitely would recommend to book this tour. Thanks to Jessica🤍
Excellent Full-Day Tour with Sorva Travel Highly recommend this tour to Paradise Cave and the river caves. The logistics were flawless, and the lunch was great. Our guide, Tra, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The boat ride offered a perfect moment of respite from the hustle and bustle. A must-do in Phong Nha!
This tour was excellent for 2 inexperienced cavers. Lily was a wonderful guide and explained everything to us. The lunch was also very good. I recommend this tour to everyone
The tour was amazing! As one of few coming from Huế for the full-day tour, I felt incredibly accomodated and taken care of. Our tour guide David was exceptional. He was very informed and knowledgable about the area and was easy to talk to. He also went the extra mile to always check up on how we were doing. The views of the tour were great, would recommend to anyone with a spare day in central vn.
Unbelievable day with Trà, Extremely helpful & knowledgeable guide, had an amazing time walking through the caves, truly beautiful. Trà is amazing guide - 10/10 recommend.
The transfer from Hue to the caves was very smooth: the driver was very cautious and kind (he bought me breakfast and it was not included). The caves are amazing! I had never seen anything like that. The guide Trà was asesome, she quickly created the best atmosphere for all the people in the group to be confortable and in good spirits. She very well explained what we were going to do and told us very interesting things about the caves and about Vietnam in general. She seemed to be very motivated and skilled for the job she does. All in all, I had an amazing day. Thank you all!
Paradise cave was amazing. OUR tour guide was fantastic.
Great organised tour, everything went smoothly. Our guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. The caves were amazing, I highly recommend this tour
We really enjoyed the trip to the caves. The caves are spectacular and worth visiting. We loved Jessica's (our guide) sense of humor. She're a 6-star rating 🤩
Excellent tour operator. Everything worked a planned. It was a very long day going from Hue to visit both Paradise Cave and Phong Nha caves, but the tour operator, the guide and the driver made it comfortable and fun. Paradise cave is magnificent. I would rank it as top two I have seen along with Carlsbad in NM, USA. Phone Nha not as impressive as a cave but it was fun touring it with a boat tide and then walking out. Lunch was provided and it was delicious and plentiful, with plenty of good vegetarian restrictions options. Tra, our guide, was knowledgeable and helpful and kept us on schedule while sharing many facts and stories about the caves and the area. Overall, a great day.
Professionally run tour and a lot of fun. Great job Jessica.
