Hue Imperial City Walking Tour 2.5 Hours

The Imperial City Walking Tour was an excellent experience. Mr Quang was an interesting and thoroughly knowledgable quide - we learnt so much. Happy to recommend.

We had a great walking tour of the Hue Imperial City with Quang. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive throughout the tour. We especially loved the stories he shared along the way, which really brought the history and places to life. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in Vietnamese history and culture!

Arranged our tour with Culture Pham Travel for a private walking tour of the Royal Palace in Hue. The team delivered a great 2.5 hour experience which started with lunch at our meeting point through to a really informative guided tour of the historic site. Our guide Ha was exceptional in taking us through the site and so knowledgeable. Highly recommend the team and the tour.

Tony was a fantastic guide. Energetic, funny and a great story teller. Absolutely loved our imperial palace walk where he bough history to life. A definite must do in Hue!

We had a great trip with Phoungg- she met us early and talked to us all about the history of the Citadel- helped us with tickets and took us on a very interesting and informative tour. She was lovely and answered any questions we had. We had a fun trip!

Ms Ha was a wonderful and very informative guide. The tour ended up being a private one, and I enjoyed getting to see the sights and learn about the history of the imperial city. Ms Ha’s English was fantastic and it was easy to communicate. I also really enjoyed learning about modern day Vietnamese culture - not part of the tour but flowed naturally with our conversation. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hue. Ms Ha is the best!!!

First class tour - full of information about the history of the Citadel and the Vietnamese monarchy - Paula the tour guide was excellent!

My friend and I took this tour in the late afternoon and Trinh—our guide—was thoughtful and incredibly knowledgeable about the Imperial Citadel. She brought the experience to life and shared a lot of detail without being overwhelming . She even recommended a great place for dinner after the tour. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting!

My guide Trinh was a fantastic guide - exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly and good humoured. She really brought the Citadel to life.

We wanted to go to Hue Imperial City quite last minute but booking via WhatsApp the night before was easy. We had a lovely, safe and efficient driver in Mr Hau to take us to and from our hotel in Da Nang, and upon arrival in Hue we were met by Ms Ha, our tour guide, who was super friendly and made sure our time in the Imperial City was interesting and that we got to see all the highlights and learn the major facts. Ms Ha recommended a local restaurant to eat dinner before the drive home, which was an amazing place and such good value, and we were super grateful to Mr Hau for waiting. Highly recommend.

The site was impressive, and Ms. Ho, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Vietnam from her, and we would have been lost without her guidance.

Our tour was very pleasant and informative. We had the opportunity to learn a lot about the Citadel and the Forbidden City, as well as about Vietnam in general, thanks to our guide, Mr. Tuân. With limited time in Hue, we took this tour with Ms. Fi to see the Imperial City. She was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us a great tour. Nice easy pace. Would highly recommend. As an FYI, the only additional cost is the 200,000 dong per person entrance fee. A little less than eight dollars US.

Ms. Ha took us on a very interesting walking tour through Hue Imperial City and provided many information on the dynastie and the rebuilding of the buildings after the war. Mr. Hoa was en excellent driver very carying that we feel confortable troughout our ride from Dong Hoi to Hoi An via Hue. We enjoyed a wonderful day.

Our tour guide Ms Trinh was amazing. We went through the main parts of the imperial city, she provided a lot of informations about the history, the life at the time, the purpose of each monument. Yet it wasnt too heavy, she was fun and sweet. She gave us really nice little souvenirs by the end of the tour. We had a really good insight into Hue's monuments :)

The visit was very well structured and we learnt a lot with our guide Hoa, who impressed us with his historical knowledge - we also appreciated his tips on architecture principles as well as the connections he drew with modern history, over the whole dynastic period . Needless to day his English was excellent. Highly recommended tour (and guide).

Sue was fantastic!!! I am so glad we went on this tour even though it was raining. She really knows her history and took many pictures for us. And her English is perfect! You are lucky to have her.

Amazing walking tour exploring all the highlights of Hue Imperial citadel complex with a super knowladgeable tour guide. We enjoyed the Fengshui setting and architecture of the citadel as well as the stories of the Nguyen Dynasty Emperors, concubines, eunuchs. Highly recommend this tour.

It was such a great 3 hours tour to explore all the monuments in Hue Imperial Citadel. Our tour guide Ms. Ha was very knowleadable and was able to answer all our questions. Very informative tour guide and we learned so much about the Nguyen Dynasty from this 2.5 hours tour. Although many monuments in the forbidden city are destroyed by French and American bombs but it is worth paying a visit. Highly recommend.
