Ms Trinh was an amazing tour guide. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating of our needs. Our driver Mr Lee was also amazing - they were kind enough to pick us up straight from the station after our overnight train, and drop us off at our accommodation at the end of the tour. The restaurant Ms Trinh took us to as part of the tour was also amazing. The perfect day!

I was lucky enough to be accompanied in this experience by Fi. A kind guide, polite but above all very good at explaining the stories of mausoleis and castles. I don't have a good knowledge of English but she managed to explain everything with simple and understandable words.

We had a tour with Fi and she was really amazing! You could tell she knows a lot about Vietnam and its history. She took really good care of us and learned us a lot!

Well-organized private tour that covered the spots we requested. Our guide, Ms. Trinh, was friendly and informative. The vehicle was excellent. The driver (cannot remember his name now) was efficient and friendly.

We did a private full day tour of Hue, and were lucky to have Lee as our guide. He was so knowledgeable and informative, but also friendly and personable. Having Lee as our guide made our visits to the amazing sights on the tour so much richer, as he told us so much about the architecture and design and purpose of the buildings, as well as their history (including all of the interesting stories about the Nguyen emperors). I also loved hearing about the lotus flowers and their significance. Doing a private tour meant we were able to fit a lot into our day, but we never felt rushed at all. We had a great day, and would highly recommend this tour and Lee to anyone considering a private tour of the sights of Hue.

Thanks to Ms. Phuong and Mr Lee for assisting us with a very informative day in Hue. The Citadel, Pagoda and tombs were remarkable. The weather was extreme in July particularly when the wind dropped but Phuong was very caring and fanned us in an attempt to cool us all! Thanks so much to her for her informative history lesson. She is very passionate about her country and its proud history. Mr Lee provided safe transport on some busy roads between Da Nang and Hue. A memorable way to break up a beach holiday and learn about a beautiful country and its culture and rich history. Ca Mon 🙏🏻

The sunset trip to the Tam Giang lagoon was one of the highlights of our visit to not only Hue but Vietnam overall. We had our first fishing experience (Incredibly lucky to catch a whole bucket of fish and shellfish!) and one of the most epic rose-purple-reddish sunsets. Our tour guide (Chuong/Tony) arrived ahead of the scheduled time, made sure we were well looked after and catered to all of our requests. All in all definitely a worthwhile experience!

Booked Hue City Private Tour with guide through Culture Pham. Our tour guide, Ms Ha, was excellent and very knowledgeable. We started very, at 7:15am to beat some of the heat and saw the main sights. Ms Ha was great at her job, engaging and informative. We had a very rewarding day. Fully recommend her and this tour.

We had an amazing day visiting the main historic sites in and outside Hue. Trinh our guide was extremely knowledgeable, perfect English, and a great host for the day. Tan our driver was very professional. The lunch was at a great local restaurant with all items on the set menu talked through. Would highly recommend!

We had an absolutely marvelous day tour of Hué. We visited all the major sites. Our guide, Fi Van, was very knowledgeable and personable with excellent English language skills. The day went smooth as clockwork. And the details were well taken care of. We had a good driver with a clean car and water. Lunch was very good with local specialities. All around perfect.

The trip was amazing. We travelled with two visitors whose first time it is in Vietnam who learned a lot from the history and all the places we went. Our guide, Ruby, was also really great with explaining everything to us very clearly and answering questions. She knows Hue very well so she is knowledgeable on the city and the history. The tour was wonderful. Mr Chuong was a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and I went away knowing so much more about the history and culture in Hue. Food at Quan Hanh was really delicious and authentic. We were picked up in Hoi An and had a very comfortable and rewarding trip!

Fantastic experience - great way to experience Hue! Our guide Phuong and driver Hao made our full-day tour a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Phuong is a knowledgeable and energetic guide who made the whole day joyful. We saw several temples, the Citadel, and experienced a snapshot of local life. Hao is quite funny, has great taste in music, and is a great driver. The CulturePham org is well-run and was able to arrange airport & hotel transport, and were happy to modify our original tour itinerary to accommodate a specific site we wanted to see. We’d highly recommend booking a tour in Hue or Hoi A with CulturePham - and you should specifically request Phuong & Hao!

We had an amazing day with Mr. Dat. I picked this tour as I wanted to visit the Tu Hieu temple where Thich Nhat Hanh spent his childhood as well as his last days and no other tour operator had this on their itinerary. We were 4 ( 2 couples) so we decided to combine the temple and royal city visit into one private tour. Mr. Dat was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history and traditions with us. He also recommended to us a great little bookshop in Hoi An which we later visited and got some great books in English and had the best salted cream coffee! Mr. Dat also helped us make an order for our vegan lunch which was included in our tour. After lunch we had a leisurely walk around the Imperial City and heard some really interesting stories about the kings and traditions they practiced at the time - hint is to ask about Happy Water :)

This was our favorite part of our Vietnam trip so far! Each stop was better than the last. Our guide Lam shared a ton of information with us about the sites, Vietnam history, and modern living. Lam was so knowledgeable, patient, and gave us plenty of time to see everything. My husband thought our lunch was the best meal he'd had so far. So glad we booked this!

We both really enjoyed it. Mr Hau got us to the destination safely with some good photo opportunities along the way. Ms Phuong was very knowledgeable on the area and gave a personal touch to the tour as well. I'd recommend this tour to anyone coming to Hue.

I had a wonderful trip to Hue. Mr. Trung is a professional and very kind driver—always warm, friendly, and smiling. I truly appreciated how careful he was while driving, which made me feel safe throughout the journey. He even opened the door for me and had water ready, which was such a thoughtful touch. Ms. Le, who assisted me before and after the trip, was incredibly hands-on and patient in answering all my questions. Her support made everything smooth and stress-free. I booked two experiences for my parents’ trip to Hue - a Perfume River Sunset Cruise with dinner, and a Private full-day tour of Hue’s highlights the next day. They were so happy with both experiences! Perfume Sunset River Cruise with dinner: My parents spent a very pleasant time talking with their wonderful guide Ms. Van. They made tapioca prawn and pork dumplings which were cooked and served as part of their meal. Ms. Van was very friendly, had excellent English and was very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious! The only downsides were that there was a bit of exhaust fumes from the traffic during the cyclo ride, and because of the poor weather they didn’t see the sunset. But these things can’t be helped, and in no way impacted how much they enjoyed the evening 🙂 Hue City Private Tour: The following day my parents did this full-day tour. Their guide Ms. Phuong was absolutely delightful and very friendly. Her English was great, and she talked to them not just about the places they visited but also about wider Vietnamese culture and history. Their driver for the day was excellent, too. They loved the Thiem Mu Pagoda, the Imperial City, Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb. Ms. Phuong told them so much about each place, answered all their questions and knew the best places to take photos! They had another dragon boat ride during this trip, so got to see the Perfume River in daylight too. Ms. Phuong also took them to a craft village to see incense sticks and nón lá hats being made - they were even able to try out making incense sticks themselves. Their coffee break at the Imperial City and lunch in Hue were lovely, and they enjoyed eating typical Hue specialties. When I visit Vietnam in the future, I hope to take these same tours too since my parents enjoyed themselves so much. Thank you so much to Culture Pham Travel for making my parents’ time in Hue so special. They will never forget it! 💚

What a wonderful day. Despite it raining throughout, we were chauffeured from famous citadel to famous tomb by our driver Mr Hau and exceptional guide Mr Tony. He brought all of the incredible history to life for us with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Thoroughly recommended.

The tour was nothing short of perfect. Our tour guide Mrs. Trinh was probably the best guide we have ever had: extremely knowledgeable (but not overwhelming), charismatic and fun. She even helped us solve some problems with Vietnam Airlines talking to their staff, who could speak very little English. Our driver Mr. Lieu was also great, very professional and helpful. Hue is beautiful and the tour took us to the most important king tombs, where we learned a lot about the Nguyen dynasty and the country’s history. The places are really impressive. After lunch in a phenomenal local restaurant, we went to the citadel, where we also had a great time exploring the imperial city and forbidden city.

This was a great day tour of major attractions in Hue. We had one day to see what we could so purchased this private tour with Tony our guide. He was very knowledgeable and we had a super driver as well.

The tour guide was delightful and very knowledgeable with good communication skills in english. Our guide went out of her way to make sure we viewed as much as possible given the allotted time. The driver was also relaxed and pleasant.

We had a tour guild, Son, who was very knowledgable about the history of Hue. He took us to two incredible tombs, both very unique, and incredible in their own ways. We then had a delicious lunch, and an in depth tour of the Imperial City. He was friendly, entertaining, and clearly had a deep understanding of the history behind Hue and Vietnam. He had incredible stories to tell, and knew all the best spots for pictures, rest, and landscapes. We had a clean, air conditioned car with a great driver and plenty of water. If youre in Hue, I would recommend hiring these two; it really made the most of our single day here.

The tour included the best highlights of Hue. The King tombs, the citadel and the pagoda. All were stunningly beautiful. Our guide Tony knew all about the sites and was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Big recommendation!

Our driver, Hau, was absolutely perfect! He arrived right on time, the car was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. He was friendly, helpful and exceptionally skilled at navigating the roads (and occasional traffic chaos). He took us from Hoi An to Hue with stops along the way at Marble Mountain, Hai Van Pass and the Lagoon. He kept us updated on the duration to each stop and what to expect when we arrived. He dropped us right at the entrance to each and waited until we were finished before picking us up again, in the exact same spot. It could not possibly have been more efficient, more convenient or easier. We got to see wonderful sites in the most pleasant way possible. Highly recommend this service - and Hau in particular!

Mr Hoang spoke excellent English and gave great explanations on the diverse history and architecture. He covered wider history and explanations of Buddhism. Before the Citadel and Forbidden City he took us on a great boat cruise. Lunch was excellent at a busy restaurant full of locals that specialised in Hue dishes which Mr Hoang explained. Mr Lieu was the driver and was calm and smooth and had a nice car for the 4 of us visitors.

Excellent Hue city tour. Mr Hoa has a superb command of English (2 years in California), thorough knowledge of Hue's history and sites, a great sense of humour and is a skilled photographer. The vehicle was new, immaculate and driven safely by our courteous driver. Highly recommended!

Excellent city tour that stops at some key locations. Our tour guide, Ms. Trinh, was knowledgeable and shared much about the history and culture. She also did a great job helping to navigate away from large crowds and captured some pictures of us. With only a short time in Hue, we appreciated how much we covered with this tour. We were met by our guide, the delightful Ms Trinh, and our driver Mr Phuoc from our train and taken to our hotel and then proceeded to visit the tombs of the 12th and 2nd Kings of the Nguyen Dynasties. Timing was brilliant as we missed any crowds. We then visited the pagoda and took a private dragon boat along the Perfume River to lunch. This was a 5 course traditional Hué cuisine menu. Perfect. The afternoon’s visit to the Citadel, Imperial and Forbidden palaces was again just excellent. Trinh was so lovely and extremely knowledgeable. She made everything very interesting and not just a history lesson. Mr Phuoc was so polite and punctual for every pickup. We could not have asked for more to make our only day in Hué well worth the visit. Thank you both.

Mr Hoa gave us an extensive narrative tour today. We learn more than what we arrived with. Everything kind of came to life as we stood in these majestic temples and heard local knowledge from somebody who is very educated as to what, why, where, and when. With humor he was able to even explain theory and myth which was fascinating. Very good English speaking and all of our questions were addressed in the most polite manor. Highly recommend.

Trinh was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. She has so much passion and love for her city of Hue. And she has a great personality! We learned a lot and had a great time. Our tour of the Citadel & Royal tombs with Trinh was superb. She was full of knowledge and so much fun to spend our time with. We learnt so much about Hue / Vietnam’s history.
