We had a great day with our tour guide Ngoc, who was friendly and informative. We started with a dragon boat ride along the Perfume River to a pagoda. Next was a tour of the Citadel, followed by a visit to a family-run incense stall where we learned how incense is made and how conical hats are woven. We opted out of a visit to the market bc we’d been to several in other cities. We had a nice lunch at a restaurant that served a set menu with local dishes (included in the price of the tour, except for drinks which were out of pocket). The day ended with stops at two tombs, kings 12 and 2, which highlighted the differences in tomb design. It was a rainy day and we were very glad to be on this tour rather than having to navigate transport among the sites on our own.

Visited Hue with my Mum and only had one full day to see the city. Our Guide Fi was perfect, she had all the answers to our answers and gave us plenty of time to stop and take in the scenery and some photos. Lunch was super tasty also. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our Hue city tour. Despite the bad weather (rainy), our tour guide made the tour very pleasant. She was very informative and knowledgeable.

Was a wonderful tour seeing all the important sights of Hue. Had a fun dragon boat ride along perfume river. Saw many pagodas, tombs of past kings and imperial palace. Very small group just the two of us and our guide was extremely knowledgeable with the history of sites we visited. Would 💯 recommend

Very good tour of the Citadel, pagoda and tombs. It included boat ride and very good lunch. Guide Tang was very knowledgeable.

We arranged our tour at short notice through our hotel (Silk Path Grand). Our guide, Fi arrived at the hotel to pick us up and immediately made us feel comfortable and confident that she would provide a great tour. Her English language is perfect. We visited the Imperial City and Two Tombs. We weren't sure of the best tombs to visit but took Fi's advice and we were delighted with her choice of Khai Dinh and Minh Mang. Fi provided great insight and made the day so enjoyable. Thank you so much Fi for making our time in Hue so enjoyable.

Great day tour of Hue, with a fantastic guide (Xi), whose English was brilliant, whilst being extremely knowledgeable. Also backed up by a good driver (Thanh).

Great historical insights, well arranged with nice lunch facilities & food options. So much progress in restoration since our last visit 18 years ago.

We visited the imperial citadel, the tombs of the kings, the market.. but above all, thanks to our fantastic guide, we were able to get in touch with the history of Vietnam, with its philosophy, its essence, so as to better understand and appreciate even more this beautiful country.

Our tour guide Fi was amazing! The tour was filled with beautiful sights and Fi’s commentary helped us have a greater appreciation on the history, people and culture of Hue and Vietnam. Our highlight was the citadel, incense village and delicious lunch. We would definitely recommend this amazing tour.

We had a great time exploring Hue and learning a lot about the local history. Xi was a fantastic guide full of local knowledge and spoke excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this tour.

What a day full of history! Our guide Hoang was very knowledgable and explained history in a very engaging way. Both Imperial City and Forbidden City are utterly fascinating and definitely worth seeing. The Tombs were beautiful, it's easy to forget that they are a resting place. The late emperors built them to be tranquil places to relax and to enjoy time spent there.

The whole day was fantastic. Hoang gave us so much information about the history of the Emperors, the temples and pagodas. We enjoyed walking around the citadel and Hoang explained many things around Dong Ba market. Lunch was pleasant and they catered for vegetarians. The boat trip was enjoyable along the Perfume river, the boat lady had souvenirs but there was no pressure to buy, it was very relaxed as was the incense shop and conical hat demonstration. We enjoyed the whole itinerary which was made very special by Hoang

It ended up just being us two for the trip, the tour guide was nice and very informative. Would recommend to people, it was a good experience

Fi was our magnificent guide for the day. We started the tour with a dragon boat ride down the Perfume River and stopped at the pagoda. We explored two temples. We stopped at the incense shop and discovered how this area is a major source of quality incense in Vietnam. Our lunch was excellent. Our tour of the citadel was amazing although the day was hot and humid. Fi's english was excellent and we enjoyed her company and extra explanations.

“C” was excellent. She took us to some wonderful sights and filled us in on the early history of Vietnam. She also provided other information on where to eat and other things to see.

Good guide. Tour includes visits to the tombs that are 20-30km outside the city. Well worthwhile. Getting an early start is a good plan. We started at 0800. At that time the Citadel and the royal city area are not busy.

A packed day of touring around the ancient capital of Hue, where the history and importance of the city was explained by our tour guide (Huang). Our guide was brilliant and had in-depth knowledge of the history and good communications skills.

Excellent Hue tour! I strongly recommend it! We had a pleasant cruise in the perfume river in our way to a ancient pagoda! After that we went to the cidadel we’re the royal family used to live and learned about their family. After a nice lunch we went to see two fantastic cemitery . The last one is even impressive than the first!

Fabulous tour. Well worth the money. our tour guide Xi spoke great English and was really knowledge about the imperial city and history of Vietnam! Dragon boat ride, lunch, market, driver all great! Xi also gave great recommendations for restaurants and not to miss experiences in Hue!!

This tour is incredible! Hong was a great guide, her English is great and she provided very thorough information about the history of the Imperial City, the tombs, and the emperors. Highly recommend!

We have had two lovely days with Hoang as guide for us in Hue. First tour was a half day tour on bike 🚲 in Hue and out to a village outside of Hue where we learnt a lot about how the Vietnamese agriculture. On the top we also got tried how to manœuvre in the crazy Vietnamese traffic- quite scary and fun🤣 Second tour was a day city tour where we learnt a lot about the Vietnamese history and all their emperors, their thumbs and had a tour on the perfume river and a very nice lunch. Hoang is a very knowledgeable guy and is very attentive towards his guests, taking pictures and sharing recommendations on what to see taste etc in Vietnam 🇻🇳 We indeed can recommend the company, driver and guide - everything went smooth and was two good experiences🙂

Me and my wife spent a super perfect day with Hoang. He was very very friendly and he explained us all the things perfectly. We visited the imperial, the thumbs, Dong ba market and a little village. I would not hesitate to book for this tour with Hoang again!

Ms. Fi was an exceptional guide and one of the best English talkers in the whole of Vietnam. We were a group of 5 and learned a lot from her about Vietnam.

We had a great experience with our tour guide Fi. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her work. Even though the tour description doesn't mention it the guides speak English and a very understandable one at that. We learned a lot about the Nguyen Dynasty and the History of Vietnam. If you are already in Hue there is no reason not to do this tour.

Xi was THE BEST! She was so incredibly knowledgable and more than happy to answer any questions we had about the sites and Vietnamese culture in general. She made the day very easy and enjoyable often asking us for input on pacing and such. She even sent us wonderful recommendations for dinner and nightlife near our hotel. Book with Xi for your first day here- you will not be disappointed! On the tour note- wear comfortable shoes and clothing as you will be walking and climbing stairs and needing to remove shoes at some locations. We had light rain most of the day which did not bother us on the tour. There is so much info, if you are taking pics, be sure to snap one of the map of each site as a reminder.

We had a fantastic day in Hue with Hoang! We spent a good amount of time in the Imperial Citadel, then took a boat ride on Perfume River, visited the central market, had a delicious lunch, saw a village where colorful incense sticks and traditional hats are made, and finished with two impressive imperial tombs. The tour was very well organized and went smoothly. Hoang was an amazing guide, super knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He narrated the imperial history beautifully, plus answered a ton of our questions. I couldn’t recommend this tour and Hoang more!

We had an amazing day with Ms. Fi (our guide) today. There wasn't a group available since its the beginning of the tourist season but the private tour was really worth it. We were picked up at out hotel personally from Fi, were accompanied all the time and the transport was in a nice car. Ms Fi answered alla our questions not only about the Citadel and the Tombs but also about Vietnamese daily life and helped us bargain in Dong Ba Market! The contact with the Deluxe Group Tours was quick efficient and hassle free. The restaurant we ad lunch quite nice with local dishes. I would definitely book again, the tour is hugely recommended!

Our family of four had a fantastic time exploring Hue with Hoang. He was knowledgeable and patient when I stopped to take endless photos. The tour was perfectly paced and Hoang kept us well fed and hydrated over the course of the day. We learned a great deal about Hue’s history as well as Vietnamese culture in general. Lunch was excellent! It was one of the best set meals we’ve had on tour. If your time in Hue is limited, this is the perfect way to see the best the city has to offer. Excellent value for money.

Our guide Fi was excellent to tour with. She gave good information but not too much, which gave time for exploration on our own. Her English was great and very personable. The service provided was excellent and would highly recommend to anyone in the Hue area, especially on a tight itinerary because this one hits all the highlights of such a culturally rich area in comfort and good value.

This is an amazing tour! Our guide XI was so knowledgeable and answered every question anyone could think of Her English is excellent and she is a lovely person. The tour is very comprehensive with boat ride pagoda imperial city 2 tombs and market plus an 8 course lunch that was delicious. They can cater to dietary restrictions and in fact XI asked everyone before we started if they had food allergies. I thought it was great value. The driver was excellent and the mini c’van had AC and was comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour to get the most out of your time in Hue and make sure you ask for XI as your tour guide. Thanks for everything Xi- you are amazing!!

Our tour guide Xi was extremely knowledgeable and everything that she was asked by the group she could answer. She picked us up at the agreed time, gave us some information as we walked to the bus about the day. Once on board she filled us all in on our itinerary for the day. Overall it was a great day made all the more enjoyable by Xi’s knowledge and her relaxing style.

The day in question for the tour was not kind from a weather perspective, but our day was brightened with the arrival of our tour guide Xi. From the start Xi made the tour interesting with a trip to a local street market, that was followed by visits to Hue Imperial City (The Citadel), Tomb of Khai Dinh, Tomb of Minh Mang and Museum of Royal Antiquities. A really good tour with a guide of high quality.

This tour company is excellent and I highly recommend anybody who wants a complete and detailed tour of Hue to sign up with this company. You will go to all the must go places and ask for Nhi she is a great tour guide with outstanding English.
