We were lucky that it was not a busy day at the lobby cafe. We were able to enjoy a cup of coffee without paying the usual minimum charge of $400HKD per person. It was very comfortable and the hotel is stunning.

The hotel is very luxurious, elegant, and exceptionally clean. From the lobby to the rooms, everything was well-maintained and comfortable, making the entire experience feel relaxing and premium. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. It made getting around so much easier during our trip. Breakfast buffet has great selection of food, and I especially loved the hakaw and dumplings. Another thing worth mentioning is the pool area. The view from there was absolutely stunning and created such a relaxing atmosphere, especially during sunset. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of walking.
We stayed in The Peninsula to end our honeymoon in Hong Kong. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our whole trip! The hotel was elegant and tasteful. The service was impeccable, there was always a member of staff offering assistance wherever you went. The pool area was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the best skyline in the world. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Hong Kong!
We’ve been to Hong Kong more times than I can count, but for some reason, we never actually stayed at The Peninsula until this past March. Now I’m wondering why we waited so long. There is a reason people call it the Grand Dame. The history is everywhere, but it doesn't feel stuffy, it just feels incredibly polished. We did the classic High Tea one afternoon, and the atmosphere and the service made it feel special. Our room was stunning and really well-appointed, but the real showstopper was the view. Having a full, unobstructed look at the Hong Kong harbor right from our room never got old.. What really stood out, though, was the team. A huge thank you to LeeAnn Brown, Amanda Law, and Megumi Kawai. They were so attentive and made our first stay feel like we’d been regulars for years. It’s rare to find a place that can balance that level of old-school prestige with genuine warmth, but they nailed it. If you’re on the fence about staying here, just do it. It’s a completely different experience being an actual guest. We’ll be back for sure.
The Peninsula Hong Kong continues to set the benchmark for luxury, elegance, and timeless hospitality. While this year’s design and decorations weren’t as breathtaking as some previous years, they were still tastefully executed and refined — very much in line with The Peninsula’s understated sophistication. The Chanel collaboration added a classy, fashion-forward touch, elevating the overall ambiance and making the space feel modern yet elegant. Service, as always, was impeccable. Staff were polished, attentive, and professional without being intrusive — the kind of service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of. The atmosphere throughout the hotel remains calm, luxurious, and effortlessly grand. The Peninsula isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience. Even on years when the visual design isn’t at its absolute peak, the overall standard, heritage, and attention to detail still place it firmly at the top. A timeless icon in Hong Kong that never disappoints. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
