I chose this hotel because it was close to the event venue at the LKS Faculty of Medicine. However, walking wasn't an option due to the distance, and there was no public transport serving the route, so I had to take a taxi or Uber.
The hotel is located quite far from the main bustling areas. On the plus side, there is a free hourly shuttle service to and from Hong Kong Station.
It is a fair distance to the nearest halal dining options in Causeway Bay or Wan Chai.
There were very limited breakfast options for Muslims or halal-friendly choices. Rice was not included in the buffet spread but could be requested specially from the staff.
Huge thanks to Andy for making our stay so special. He efficiently coordinated the room, organized an extra bed, and whole hotel service surprised my daughter. Excellent service that truly embodies the Le Méridien spirit!
Front desk service is quite rude. I asked the lighter from the front office guy to smoke at designated area but his reply is just "No. No." That's it. I was in-house guest and stayed there for 2 nights. I'm not sure whether he can understand English or not. Housekeeping girl is very nice and polite. Overall fine!
I think Le Meridien Cyberport has the worst service amongst all Le Meridien I have been to. First of all the restaurant “service” - No one picks up the phone to any of the restaurants especially Southside Bistro. I also tried making a booking for breakfast online and received an email saying someone from the hotel will contact me for confirmation, 24 hours later - NOTHING. Multiple calls to the restaurant were never picked up. So I took to calling the hotel reservation to have a so called Paul being rude to me. This is in addition to the hotel not informing in room guests about their “pet friendly” option and putting my parents who are allergic to dander on a floor that is pet friendly. I expect better qualified staff working at your 5 star establishment. Their irresponsiveness, rudeness, unprofessionalism is dragging your brand name down.
My sister lives in the Cyberport area, so it was perfect for me. The people around the reception, like the concierge, dressed casually and give you a countryside vacation feel, but their services are top-notch, super friendly and welcoming! I also really like their free shuttle services. The room, the view, the bed and shower are all super comfy. I highly recommend this hotel.
