We had a fantastic time at Island Shangri-la two weeks ago when visiting Hong Kong. The room was beautiful with a great view of the harbour. The service was excellent, with Eric Tang looking after us so well. Also, thankyou to Maria in the gym and pool for being so friendly and looking after me too. I thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are in Hong Kong. It is close to everything, and have the most beautiful pool and great restaurants. I am gluten-free so they looked after me well at breakfast and beyond. So many places to eat but also close to Pacific Place and Central where other great restaurants are located. Thankyou Island Shangri-la - we can't wait to come back.

An absolutely flawless 5-star experience from start to finish. An exceptional stay that sets the gold standard for luxury hospitality. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning! The Rooms: Spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and beautifully appointed. The attention to detail in the room design makes it feel like a true sanctuary, and the views are spectacular. The Atmosphere & Amenities: From the stunningly lobby to the pristine pool and wellness facilities, everything is kept in perfect condition. It’s centrally located yet feels like a peaceful escape from the bustling city. The Service: The staff here go above and beyond. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong is one of the city's classic properties. I recently stayed here while returning to HK for board meetings. Since it had been a long time since my last visit, I half-expected a dated feel and that slightly damp room smell common in older hotels. Boy, was I wrong! The hotel must have undergone a major renovation. I was immediately wowed by how bright, fresh, and modern the room felt upon walking in. It was spacious, offering a lovely view of The Peak. The refreshment bar was excellent, generously stocked with water, tea, coffee, and a Nespresso machine. While my room didn't have a bathtub, the bathroom was spacious and well-designed, featuring a separate shower unit and toilet. For dining and drinks, you're spoiled for choice. I joined my fellow board members for drinks downstairs at the Lobster Bar, which beautifully balances a historic, old English pub aesthetic with quiet elegance. An added bonus is the hotel’s direct connection to Pacific Place. It’s one of the very first shopping malls I ever visited in Hong Kong. Staying here and picking up fresh fruit from the mall's supermarket brought back some truly wonderful memories. Highly recommended!
Amazing! Stayed at “better” hotels but these guys were really 1st class. From the moment you arrive their service is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. As for kids, understand why they are setting the global standard, kids didn’t want to leave. The kids floor is incredible. Free HEALTHY snacks at all hours, own service desk and eating area as well as play area, but the rooms are all themed! Super modern. Well done guys
The location is great. Right next to a shopping centre which has access to a MTR station (Admiralty). The renovated rooms are large, comfortable with modern amenities such as usb sockets and rainforest showers etc (not to forget the automatic opening and heated toilet seat!) and the fab got and cold water tap instead of a kettle. 5 stars for this room. If booking I would suggest asking for a renovated room (last three photos attached), the traditional ones are on floors 52-54 (first three photos attached) and we were originally put in one of these and they are quite tired and nowhere near as comfortable (I would only give these rooms 3 stars). Breakfast was excellent with a very large selection of hot and cold Chinese and Western dishes and was very high quality. The pool area was also very nice. The staff and very friendly and the concierge staff extremely helpful.
