Harbour Plaza North Point

Very disappointing stay — definitely not a 4-star experience. The only good thing about Harbor Plaza Point is the location. Other than that, the experience was far below expectations. The room was old and outdated, with a strong smoking smell, while the hallways were humid and had an unpleasant musty odor. We booked a room with two twin beds, but were given two single beds instead. The pool is very basic for a 4-star hotel, and there is nowhere for kids to play, which makes it a poor choice for families. To make things worse, I had an unpleasant confrontation with an older concierge who had an issue with my children’s behavior. His attitude made an already disappointing stay even more frustrating. Overall, this hotel badly needs renovation, better maintenance, and improved customer service. The location is good, but that alone is not enough. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

I stayed here for three weeks. Originally I only booked one week, then extended and extended again. The location was super nice, 30 sec walking distance to MTR station. The service and staff were amazing, they were always ready and willing to support. Special thanks to housekeepers and front desk staffs, they were polite and proactively asked if anything they could do with a big smile, the main reason I chose to extend my stay here (instead of going to somewhere else). The room was large, not something easy to find in HK Island, but price was affordable. Highly recommended!

FIRSTLY - DO NOT PAY FOR THEIR BREAKFAST BUFFET!. So I stayed here for 6 nights in March and by day 4 we walked away from the dreadful Breakfast buffet. Rooms are very small, which is expected but we got upgraded and found they had squeezed a sofa into our room and called it a lounge. Also a kitchen area that you are not allowed to use????. Swimming pool had no water in it and the TV was very, very old. No internet on the TV so no Youtube. I hated this hotel. Staff were also a mixed bag. In the restaurant they were great but the 2 Concierge's that I spoke to were useless. I asked them for a cardboard box so that I could send some items in the post and they said there were none. Then told me where I could buy one. I would not go near this hotel again.

I got the room on the highest floor which is level 33, my colleagues is at level 8, the difference of the room quality is shocking. I have electric blinds, the room looks newly renovated, plaster ceiling and better furniture all around. The lower level rooms looks and smell old.
