This hotel is in need of an update, but the location is very good and close to transport. The rooms are large, about 50% bigger than usual for Hong Kong, and clean and well-maintained, with good air-conditioning. My room on the 30th (top) floor had nice views of the peak -- apparently rooms on the opposite side look towards the harbour. The hotel is quite busy and staff were efficient, if not very friendly. One thing to avoid is the breakfast buffet -- it costs $69 and is horrible. Very little choice (only white Wonder bread, corn flakes and rice bubbles, juice in cartons, basic fried rice) and a much better meal can be had at nearby cafes. Avoid! Otherwise an OK place to stay in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.
Service is professional and fast. Prime location easily accessible by bus from airport. House cleaning lady is extremely warm and helpful! I personally don't mind the dated-ish room deco. Only the wifi...probably the slowest and most unreliable in all BW hotels I have stayed.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. One of the best things was how easy the check-in process was—you can walk in and book a room in less than five minutes. The lobby was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, and the staff were very kind, friendly, and pleasant throughout my stay.
The hotel also felt quite secure, as the elevators require a room key card for access, which added an extra sense of safety. My room was clean, fresh, and comfortable. The view was great, and the tinted windows helped prevent direct sunlight from beaming into the room, making it more comfortable during the day.
The room offered plenty of closet space and drawers for storing clothing and personal belongings. One of the highlights was the air conditioning—it was very powerful and cooled the room quickly, which made a huge difference in comfort.
The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast at a very affordable price, making it a convenient option for guests. Another major advantage is its location. There are numerous restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and convenience stores within easy walking distance.
Overall, my experience was excellent. The combination of cleanliness, comfort, security, convenient amenities, and a great location makes this hotel a place I would happily stay at again and recommend to others.
Spacious Room! I stayed at the highest floor, family room and was mesmerized by the view. Old building, but everything was clean. Service and Facilities are nice. No mineral water given though, but you could refill at the gym. However, the most key selling part for me was the location. Bus and tram stop is just in front of the hotel. MRT station also just a few mins walk. Also, a friendly neighborhood market with cheap and delicious food is just a leap away. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family😊
My overall stay was decent, but I had a few concerns regarding hospitality and service.
On my first day, the lady at reception was quite rude and did not provide proper information. I had requested early check-in as I arrived quite early, but the communication was not handled well. She asked me to come back at 12:30 PM and said she would “see if it could be arranged.” She told that housekeeping only starts at 11:30 AM and therefore the room could not be prepared earlier. For a four-star hotel, this explanation felt a bit surprising. However, I was able to check in at 11:15 AM after the shift changed, when a kind gentleman at the front desk kindly assisted me with early check-in.
The room itself was great and housekeeping service was good overall, although some towels were torn and should have been replaced.
Breakfast was almost the same every day during my 7-day stay, and it was served on paper plates each day in initial few days which did not feel appropriate for a four-star hotel experience.
Overall, while the room quality was good, the staff seemed to lack basic hospitality skills, which impacted the overall experience.
