Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were great, room was clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable and a really nice location. Free shuttle bus too and from Disneyland and local buses are cheap and very close by, as are taxis. We will definitely be back here when we return to Discovery Bay.

Extremely impressed with this hotel. By Hong Kong standards, it's excellent value for money, with spacious, well-appointed rooms. The location is fantastic, right by the beach and waterfront, with a small shopping centre nearby containing a large supermarket, 7-Eleven, and several restaurants. I was also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. I almost didn't book it after reading some mixed reviews, but I found it varied, good quality, and more than worth it. The main thing to note is that the hotel is not close to central Hong Kong. If you want to be in the heart of the city, this probably isn't the right choice. However, transport links are excellent, with complimentary shuttle buses to Kowloon West, Sunny Bay MTR station, and even Disneyland itself, as well as easy access to ferries into Central. For us, the quieter and more relaxed setting was a huge advantage, especially with a young child. It's also an excellent base for visiting Disneyland. You can either take the hotel's complimentary shuttle directly to the park or use the shuttle to Sunny Bay and reach Disneyland with a very short MTR ride. Compared with the official Disneyland hotels, this hotel offers outstanding value and is significantly cheaper. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the arrival experience. When we checked in at 11pm, I struggled with our luggage for 5 minutes, while the guy on reception just looked at me. He eventually intervened when I inadvertently ended up in a staff closet looking for a luggage trolley! Most 4-star hotels would typically offer proactive help or porter service. That said, every other staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel and overall it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we checked in, the experience felt smooth and welcoming. The staff was extremely courteous, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. One of the best parts of this hotel is definitely the room view. The views were absolutely stunning — a perfect combination of mountains and the sea, which made mornings and evenings feel extra special. Sitting by the window and enjoying the scenery was honestly one of the highlights of the trip. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and it came fully equipped with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged and convenient, which added to the overall comfort. Another major advantage of staying here is the free shuttle service provided by the hotel. The shuttles run regularly and connect to several prominent places across Hong Kong, which made traveling extremely easy and stress-free. This service helped us plan our sightseeing efficiently without having to worry too much about transport every day. It was a big plus, especially for tourists who want to explore the city conveniently. Overall, the combination of beautiful views, excellent room facilities, helpful staff, and the added shuttle service made our stay truly enjoyable. We had a great experience here and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hong Kong. It is absolutely a place I would love to stay again on my next trip.

I visited this location around 2014 for a vacation with my wife and our three-year-old child. Situated on a separate island, the site offers a truly organic, serene, and private experience. The integrated facilities are comprehensive, ensuring all basic needs are met. The modern and slightly contemporary architectural language allows the sense of scale to remain proportional. Furthermore, the circulation and activity zoning are well-defined, making it easy to navigate and form a mental map of the grounds.
