Secret Cocktail Experience In Hoi An

We recently did the Hoi An cocktail tour with Tim. What a fabulous host and what a fabulous evening we had. Tim entertained us all evening. Each venue we visited was unique and the cocktail and food came with a great back story. I would highly recommend this tour. We will definitely be doing it again next time we are in town and will try out the other cities as well. Thanks for a great evening.

I initially booked this tour as an itinerary filler and didn’t have too high of an expectation going into this. Little did we know, that besides learning about the cocktails, we were gonna learn a bunch about the beautiful history behind Hoi An, Vietnam and Tim the best guide out there. This will be one of those experiences that I wouldn’t mind repeating even if we revisit the same places, because of how knowledgeable and fun Tim makes conversation. I’d recommend this to all my friends and anyone who is willing. I’d bet that even if you don’t like alcohol, you’d still like this tour.

Such a fun tour. Went to places we never would have found. All of which were great! Tim was the perfect guide. Full of interesting information and facts. Plus the small group was nice and they were all fun people. I highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam! Tim was an incredible ambassador not only for Hoi An's cocktail culture, but for Vietnam as a whole. We learned so much about the country, its culture, and its wonderful people while enjoying four fantastic cocktails along the way. All four drinks were excellent, but our favorite was the Evan Williams tea cocktail at La.Kao Teahouse. We never would have discovered this charming teahouse—or this amazing off-menu cocktail—without Tim's guidance. Experiences like this are exactly what make traveling so special. Highly recommended and we will repeat on our next visit to Hoi An!

We had THE BEST TIME with Tinh, he was an amazing guide not only to unique local spots but also was fun and interesting and told us all about local culture. We had four great cocktails at different unique local places which were also all delicious. Very great tour for anyone visiting Hoi An and I would highly recommend.

Wowzers!!! What an amazingly awesome experience.Tinh was one of the best tour guides had… We’ve been in Southeast Asia for almost a month and taken several tours in many different cities, and his English really pushed him over the top. His ability to communicate the culture and the history of not only the cocktails but overall, Vietnam was 10 stars if I could give it!

The secret cocktail experience in Hoi An with Tim was amazing! All of the cocktails were great and in bars/speakeasy’s that would hard to find on your own. Each drink was so different and delicious with little snacks along the way. Tim was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable about all the history of the places and Vietnam and answered any questions we had! I would 100% recommend doing this experience!

Great evening. Temh was a superb tour guide with a warm, fun & solid ability to communicate the history of the cocktails we drank, the locations we drank the cocktail & the overall history of Vietnam. Would give ten thumbs up if I had ten thumbs!

This was my second time on the cocktail tour and it didn’t disappoint. It’s low season so only my friend and I were in the group with Luan, our guide. My friend normally doesn’t like tours, but this one was really enjoyable. Four drinks at different spots around d the city. Perfect English with moments to practice our Vietnamese (it’s SO hard!). The routes taken from one bar or restaurant to the next was curated in a way that you always felt you were seeing parts of the Old Town that only the locals see. Narrow alleys, glimpses into family life, hidden gems all around. The cocktails are varied and help Luan tell the story of her beautiful city, HoiAn. We had plenty of time to ask questions about Vietnamese life and culture as we also shared a bit of ours. It was a special way to end our time in gorgeous HoiAn!

This was one of the best experiences we have had. Tim was outstanding and the conversation was all so interesting along with the amazing cocktails and snacks. So much fun. Highly recommend.

A fantastic tour to learn your way around Hoi An, discover hidden alleyways, find tucked-away bars and restaurants, sample authentic Vietnamese flavors, and hear fascinating stories about Vietnam from someone who has experienced it firsthand. I highly recommend it as a great way to start your visit to Vietnam.

A must do in Hoi An if you like a good drink! I was skeptical when booking but the four cocktails are well-curated and interesting culturally and historically. The small snacks were also unique. Tim/Tinh was an excellent and engaging guide that made me feel comfortable even as a participant that came alone. He answered all of our group's questions, even the sillier ones, without judgment and shared his story. Secret Experiences were also flexible with me when I needed a reservation change.

Ky was a fantastic guide, we really enjoyed our time with him. The cocktails were also delicious! We would recommend this tour to everyone!

We had an amazing time doing the Secret Cocktail experience in Hoi An, and Tim really made the night what it was. He kept us entertained and engaged the whole evening, and we loved hearing all the history and stories about Hoi An and Vietnam along the way. The experience itself was so unique. We got to visit some really cool hidden spots and try custom cocktails that you definitely wouldn’t get if you just walked into these places on your own. Every stop also came with small bites, and honestly, the food was really good too. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Huge thanks to Tim for such a fun, memorable night. Would highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. Tim was such a great host! He was extremely knowledgeable but also funny. I learned so much about Vietnam history and culture. Not only that but our group was able to go to spots and try cocktails only crafted for the tour. I honestly would do it again

Tim did an outstanding job. My daughter and I did the tour and it has been the highlight of our trip. We cannot recommend the tour (great cocktails) and Tim (an amazing guide) enough. Absolutely the best thing we have done on our trip to Hoi An.

Loan was a great guide and we had the great time with her and the group on the tour. If you’re in Hoi An and want a fun activity I would recommend trying this out. We went to some places that had special cocktails for the tour and Loan gives great insight to the area and recommendations on what else to try in the area.

Whilst we had an enjoyable evening and our guide was good, we felt this was overpriced. Also, the venues were not “ancient or secret” but the cocktails were different however not amazing.

Tinh was outstanding and the cocktails were amazing. He takes you to places you would probably not find on your own. Highly recommend this tour!

My daughter and I had a great time on this well- thought out tour. Four unique venues, four unique cocktails and an outstanding guide in Tim/Tinh who has deep local and historical knowledge. We came away with much more understanding of Hoi An and Vietnamese history than when we arrived. If only school had been this relaxing and alcohol-based!

By far one of our best tours we had while in Vietnam. Tim was our guide and he was fantastic. Not just knowledgeable about what we were consuming (4 different cocktails at 4 different bars), but he was very knowledgeable about Vietnam, its culture, history, politics, etc. He had an amazing background and shared his own life story. Fascinating. If you do this tour, I’d definitely request him if you want to both drink AND learn 😊. They give you three of the recipes as a parting gift. Highly recommend.

Hang was the best guide! So knowledgeabke, kind, and funny! She had excellent recommendations for restaurants and drinks in Hoi An. The tour was so much fun going to secret, hidden bars and she had gave us lots of facts & insight into both Hoi An and Vietnam.

We had an amazing time with our guide Tim of this cocktail experience in Hoi An. Meeting at a bar in the old town we had our first cocktail where the bar manager/mixologist made the cocktail in front of us explaining all the elements and the history to us. We moved through 3 other locations each one very different. The cocktails were very high quality and so were the small snacks we had with each of them. Tinh was very engaging and knowledgeable about both the history of the cocktails and the history of the local area and Vietnam as a whole. He is a great storyteller and his personal story is equally fascinating and remarkable. No spoilers though! I would highly recommend this tour - a great night out with good cocktails, snacks, history lessons and stories….

This 3 hour experience is well worth it. Not only do you get to taste some very different cocktails that you won’t find anywhere else, it’s a great way to see a lot of the old town in HoiAn whilst learning about some of the history. Our guide, Tim, was really knowledgeable, great fun and brought the group together. Excellent value and not to be missed!

This was really great night out. I feel very lucky that the group I was with were really friendly and interesting and chatty - sometimes if you get a quiet group on things like this it can be awkward. However our host Tim was fantastic too - so knowledgable about the dinks and the history that goes with them but we also veered around world history and lots of fun stories from all. The locations we were taken too were very cool and did seem to fit the description of secret and hidden: The mexican place was definitely my favourite and we benefitted from a little extra by getting to taste possible they spiciest chilli-infused tequila I've ever had! This should be on your 'to do' list

What a brilliant evening spent with Tinh. He’s a greatly knowledgable orator ! We stopped at 4 Speakeasy locations for a different cocktail . Mixed freshly for us to watch . Only us and one other couple on our experience which was really nice . Each place provided a nice snack or 2 to enjoy with the cocktail . Tinh’s insight to the Vietnam War and how that had affected his family was very moving to hear . Thoroughly enjoyable evening ! Thank you Tim !
