Amazing. Highlight of our trip. Thank you Bong for taking care of us and our son. You not only had an in depth knowledge of the history of MySon and the area but also taking care to slow down when my 7 year old was tired and showing him spiders , and animals, plants too that engaged him so much and kept his interest. The rice paper family was amazing. Taught us slow living at its best and opened our life to rural community living and the hard work everyone puts in . Thank you thank you . We’ll be back .

The tour guide Vu was very good at explaining the tour, the history behind the ruins and was very nice. He also brought us to see an old rice house where we had to experience the local food and noodle making. Extremely happy about this tour and what we have learned from it. Recommended!
This morning we took the My Son tour, very small tour group of two. It is a beautiful place and definitely worth getting there before the crowd...essential to get the full experience. We had Luong as our guide and her knowledge of My Son (as well as general history) was outstanding! One of the best tour guides...if not the best... that we have had! After the My Son tour we stopped by a local village where we both tried our hand at making rice paper before demolishing them.
We (party of two) took part in the My Son Discovery (starting in Hoi An) Tour. The early morning timing is important, as we were then ahead of the crowds, which might otherwise have diminished our good experience. Our Local UrbanAdventures Guide Nam Pham managed it really well, that we were mostly alone in the various sections of the site. This certainly added to our experience. His explanations and his background knowledge of the site was helpful for us to grasp at least a bit of the Champa culture. We also enjoyed that he was relaxed enough to go to a local Mí Gà Restaurant on the way back, as we had missed out breakfast (due to the early start) and were hungry. Thumbs up!
Fantastic personalized tour. Lu took us on a wonderful morning trip to My Son. Thoroughly entertaining, very informative and great to get in and see the sights before the crowds. Definitely recommend Lu as a guide.
Loved this trip - Lu had so much knowledge to share with us and was so lovely - I would 100% recommended this trip to anyone looking for things to do in Hoi An Bonus - we stopped at a local home to make rice paper which was super interesting Overall - had an amazing morning - THANK YOU LU 😊
After traveling through most of southern Vietnam, it is safe to say today was our favourite so far! Lu is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun to follow around. The tour pricing was quite high for the half day. After the temples we went to a local family and made some rice paper which we then tasted after. The bus was clean and tidy, our driver was also very friendly!
A fantastic 5 hour excursion to My Son. The journey itself is very interesting as you get to see life outside the tourist centre of Hoi An. Our guide, Nampham, brought My Son to life with over two hours viewing and describing the site. We arrived by 8.30am before the tourist hordes arrived and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Sadly you can see where the American bombs and bullets destroyed the ancient sites. Nampham made a lot of effort and helped us understand a lot more about the temples than we had read about in our guide book. Go there!
Urban Adventures is a fantastic tour company. And try to get Luong Luong for your guide. She is the best guide we’ve ever had - funny, smart, informed, and takes charge so we had a great experience. She showed us the beautiful temples at the My Son UNESCO site. We leaned just the right amount of information (and it was accurate!) while moving through the site at the perfect pace. My Son is quite beautiful and being restored at a good pace. Many countries around the world have provided funds and experts to create a beautiful site. And the Vietnamese government provides educational staff to showcase traditional music and dance.
We have travelled the world and met many tour guide along the way but Lu is exceptional. She was fun and capable, spoke English very well, knew so much about everything we witnessed, and made the tour so enjoyable and educational all at the same time. We wold recommend Lu to anyone travelling to Hoi An or Danong
Luong was an excellent guide who provided my father and I a very enriching tour of the My Song sanctuary. Her ability to convey meaningful connections between the current population of Hoi An and the My Song area was greatly aided by her natural English capability. We had a wonderful tour through the area with all our questions promptly fulfilled. I wholeheartedly recommend booking through urban adventures to see the My Song Hindu sanctuary, especially if Luong can be your guide!
This morning we arrived at My Son at 8am, it was so peaceful and not many tourists! The pictures we captured and atmosphere we experienced was beautiful. Our tour guide Wyn was very knowledgeable and had excellent English, we would recommend Hoi An Urban Adventures!!
There’s a temptation for Western visitors to lump together countries and cultures. For example, several fellow travelers declined to take this tour because they’d already visited temple sites elsewhere. Big mistake. This area is well worth a visit as its history is unique, deep and still in the process of being explored and revealed. Our guide, Nam (yes, as in Vietnam) was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, spoke English very well and gave us an excellent and thorough understanding of the Cham people and the significance of the structures we were viewing. As an American, it was more than a bit painful to see so many bomb craters and bullet holes; reminders of a more recent unfortunate history. The dance performance was excellent, way better than I expected. In summary, the tour was well worth the time and cost.
We went on a tour of my son with our guide NAM PHAM he was very knowledgeable and funny! We had a great time!
Our guide Tran Trung Nguyen (Win) was excellent. He had a great sense of humour and his knowledge of the temples was very good. The destination was a special place with a Huge history. I also enjoyed the unexpected bonus of the live dance and music performance.
We had an awesome time this morning at My Son. Both the driver and the tour guide (Nam Pham) were very good! Would definitely recommend. 👍
had a great half day urban adventure with Bong Phan as guide. She showed us through the My Son temples and had a great insight into the history of the area and region. We then drove to a friendly and inviting local family who make rice paper and shared an experience with them. Great half day out, getting in early in the day to beat the heat.
Amazing visit to ancient Champa ruins in Vietnam - so beautiful and intriguing and fortunate that this wasn't completely destroyed during the US war. The Hindu influenced dancing and music performance was also fantastic.
Ms Bong was a great guide and gave us plenty of information about the region. We were able to go at our own pace but still made it in time for the cultural concert. The site has certainly seen better days, there is on going restoration work, but there is still plenty to see. We had a ‘private’ tour as it was just our family of 5 (Mum, Dad, Grandma, 10yo, 12yo). There’s a bit of walking and stairs which slowed grandma down a bit. Also dropped in to see a lovely family farm that produced rice paper. Recommended.
We had the pleasure of having Ms Bong as our Tour guide for the My Son day trip. She was so lovely and was very knowledgeable throughout the day on the places we visited. Would recommend this trip once in Hoi An. Regards Paul & Gigliola.

This tour was great, are guide was fantastic. Very informative and friendly. It ended up just being the two of us on the tour which was great. Even though the pick up was early in the morning it was worth it as you get to My Son before really any other tourists, once we left there was a sea of tourists flooding in. The stop on the way home to learn how to make Rice paper was also really great. The one thing I would change would be to spend a little more time at the site. But over all it was a really great tour. It's not my first Urban Adventure tour and it won't be my last, they are always really great and unique!

Bong the tour guide was excellent, spoke great English and was knowledgable about the My Son ruins. The stop at the family house to make rice cake was the highlight for the kids and the lady there was absolutely beautiful and happy. Perhaps a little too costly for the total trip but none-the-less a thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour.
