This was such a fun way to see My Son and also the countryside. It might have been the most fun thing I’ve done in a while. Ben and Nine were the greatest! Very professional and engaging with conversation and answering all our questions. Everything was safe and we always felt like safety was first. Seriously, it was so fun…we had a smile the whole day! I highly recommend this tour when visiting Hoi An.
This was an outstanding experience! Thanh was our tour guide, patient and funny, and my driver Quynh was a real treasure. Amazing, the motorbikes took us through the back roads.
Amazing history, an insightful guide and lovely food. Would highly recommend. The guides made us feel safe at all times.
We had our amazing guide Thanh who looked after us! I had an amazing driver Kah who looked after me and told me loads about where we visited, the history and beautiful Vietnam! Fully recommend!
Amazing Motorcycle Tour with Hannah and Nine – Highly Recommended! We had an incredible experience on the My Son Holy Land Tour by motorbike! Our guides, Hannah and Nine, did an outstanding job. They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip feel easy and fun. Riding through the countryside on motorcycles gave us a unique and authentic view of Vietnam — beautiful landscapes, local villages, and a real sense of adventure. Hannah and Nine made sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time, and their insights into the local culture and history made the tour even more special. The visit to My Son Holy Land was fascinating, and we appreciated how much they shared with us about the site's history. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, and a big part of that was thanks to Hannah and Nine. We can’t recommend this experience enough!
The guys were amazing! felt so safe on the back of the Vespa and they provided water throughout the trip. We went a different way to the main tour trips so didn’t see any other tourists until we made it to my son. Was really nice to see the more rural side of hoi an and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the area! After all the site seeing we were taken for lunch at a local place on route back to our hotel. The food was great! Overall a 10/10 experience
Great trip to My Son through rice fields and villages, Than, Lhnh, Khanh & Vu were great guides! Stopped at a restaurant for the best noodle dish!! Definitely worth doing
Highly recommend traveling this way!!! Was an exceptional tour with beautiful views and very informative. Extremely safe drivers!
The weather was quite rainy in the morning and we were afraid of how the experience will be affected. However, Thanh and Trang were both very positive tour guides and took care of us very well despite the rain. We must say a big thank you to them for braving the weather in their motorcycles and we had a really enjoyable time at My Son. Thanh and Trang are both very well-informed guides and gave us a lot of rich historical details of My Son. Thank you once again!
We did the My Son sanctuary by motorbike and the hidden waterfall. Ben was a great guide, very knowledgeable of the Vietnamese history and culture. We had an amazing experience exploring the my son temples, as well as the motorbike ride through the countryside. Avoiding the busy roads, we had the chance to see amazing landscapes and pass through lovely friendly villages, stopping on the way to take plenty of pictures. Overall we had a great time and definitely recommend Ben and the local buddy tours!
We had the most enjoyable trip ever with our guides Harry Tea and Tu through the rural neighborhoods and community of Hoi An. Our guides were fun, energetic and knowledgeable about Hoi An. We visited a rice paper making factory, a coffee making factory from beans to cup, a matt making factory done the traditional way and crab fishing in the coconut grove along with some incredible local food. Harry was truly an energetic exceptional guide. Along with Tea and Tu. I would highly recommend this tour. Can't wait to go back there again!
Private MySon tour by Car. This half day tour takes you through the beautiful countryside of Vietnam on way to My Son ancient ruins. Such an impressive area to visit. On the day, there was a wonderful cultural dance and music show in the grounds of many Ruins, steeped in history. Our Tour guide Thanh was incredible with his endless knowledge with exceptional spoken English. After My Son we were took to lunch in a local restaurant with delicious food. Would highly recommend anyone to book the tour. You really get well looked after. And it’s value for money.
Lovely tour with the guide Ben. He spoke excellent English and was very informative and helpful. Very attentive too to make the trip pleasant for you. Highly recommended.
Thanh picked me up as scheduled at 05:30 for the sunrise trip to My Son Sanctuary. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t see the sunrise but the trip was amazing and Thanh’s knowledge of the history to My Son was excellent. The temples were deserted which made a great experience for me but meant that there was no custom for people who rely on the tourist dollars. Overall this is an excellent trip abs I would highly recommend Local Buddy Tours and especially Thanh.
We had an excellent tour to My Son (by car rather than by motorbike), guided by the very knowledgable Tu. We chose to take the morning tour, and I’m really pleased we did as it was super quiet and we got some great pictures before the large tour groups arrived. Tu told us lots of interesting facts about the temples. His English was excellent and he had a great sense of humour. After spending about an hour at the sanctuary we left and stopped for My Quang, a local noodle dish, and a nearby restaurant. It was delicious. We then went back to Hoi An through various villages, including stopping at a 700 year old banyan tree. I would not hesitate to book a tour with these guys again! Booking was easy, all done through What’s App with Ben. We only booked 2 days before the tour.
We had a wonderful private trip to My Son led by Tu. Great communication, very warm and friendly guys and a genuine desire to do all they could for us. What was especially interesting was the detailed history that Tu shared with us, he certainly knows a lot about this fascinating area. He was great company on this very comfortable day out of Hoi An. We took the 5.30am tour and are glad we did, as we didn’t see many other people and the rising sunlight on the ruins was gorgeous. The ride back was also brilliant — great noodles, lovely countryside and an impromptu stop to chat with some locals. It was great fun and I’d do it again!
We had a fantastic tour on motorbikes to My Son with Thanh, supported by Sonny, Lan and two local drivers. Despite the rainy weather, we had a wonderful day. Thanh and his team ensured we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves each step of the journey. We had an interesting tour of a local market to sample rice donuts and snails, an informative guided walk around My Son and a delicious lunch of local noodles. Thanh was punctual, courteous and had a great sense of humour and excellent English. Highly recommended!
We actually went on three different tours with local buddy's over the week we were in Hoi an. Would highly recommend for anyone couples, family's, etc who want to experience first hand the local culture and history. Both Tu and Ben are great tour guides who took great pleasure in sharing their local knowledge and making it a truly authentic and memorable experience. I wish them every success for the future and look forward to coming back and doing some of the other tours in the near future.
Thank you Ben for taking us around Hoi An and sharing with us the secret corners, history, food and culture. We highly recommend local buddy because they stand up to the name, they were kind, cool and authentic and gave an exciting local experience. My husband and I did 2 outings with local buddy and we found them exceptional.
We did the motorbike tour with our 9 and 10 year old children. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. We all loved being on the back of motorbikes. Tu, our tour guide spoke fantastic English and was very entertaining and informative. Lunch was delicious Vietnamese cuisine. We loved riding through the back roads of Hoi An. Will be looking to book more tours with Tu and this company while in Hoi An.
Def recommend local buddy to whoever is planning to visit hoi an. Especially My guide - tu, very knowledgeable and considerate. I booked the rest of the tours with them after my first:) thank you for the great time!
We had an amazing time on this tour. Ben the tour guide takes you into an accurate insight to local life and breaks the touristic barrier. You get the chance to meet local families, try authentic food (sooo good!), and see the countryside of Hoi An -away from the crowded tourist centre. Ben answered all of our questions about Vietnam and was an incredible guide. His knowledge was priceless, and we learned a lot from him. We felt very safe on the motorbikes and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Hoi An's countryside. This was by far the best thing we did in Hoi An - thank you again to Local Buddy Tours!
Went on a amazing scooter ride with Tu and Lily to the My Son Sanctuary. Went through rural villages and got to see how the Vietnamese people live in the farmlands. My Son Sanctuary is interesting and Tu had so many interesting stories to tell us about the ruins- he has such a good sense of humour. A fantastic experience and completely worthwhile and in our opinion a better option than driving there by car. Tu also takes photos of you and sends them to you, a special touch.
Tu was a fantastic guide. As well as providing interesting information he was very cheerful and entertaining. The countryside was beautiful but I found the history fascinating. Sad that so many buildings were destroyed during the war. There is still much to see.
Excellent tour. Tu and lily flower were great drivers/guides. A tour the provides a great way to view first hand small local villages, crop fields and rice paddies not seen by main roads. We felt very safe riding pillion. Tu speaks very good english and has a great knowledge of My Son Sanctuary. We enjoyed this tour very much, money well spent.
We recently went to My Son with Tu as our guide. He was very informative, spoke fabulous English and made the whole experience much more meaningful. On top of the normal tour to the local village market, broom factory and pottery village, Mark also organised for us to have a boat ride down the river as an extra part of our day. Very impressed with their willingness to be flexible and include what we wanted. The chicken noodle lunch at a local eatery was very tasty too.
Highly recommend this tour. Thanh and Yeung were fantastic. The tour took us off the beaten track, through local farms, markets and villages. Then onto My Son, a truly remarkable site. Thanh has amazing local knowledge and even changed the tour to accommodate our request to see the local pottery village. This is the best tour we have taken from Hoi An. Thank you Thanh. We had a fabulous day.
We had a great trip to the my son ruins with Thanh and Ti (not sure on the spelling). Thanh was an excellent guide who was incredibly knowledge and answered our many questions. We both felt extremely safe on the back of the motorbikes, even in the challenging muddy conditions. We had a lot of laughs. One of the highlights was visiting a local market and meeting the gorgeous people. Thank you both for an excellent tour, we can not recommend this enough!
You've been a great guide for half a day, He taught us a lot about temples and their construction.
