EXCELLENT ACTIVITY! We did this as a family today with our Daughter. We all had a fantastic time together learning an artistic skill. Our lanterns are beautiful price of time together too ok take away. All the ladies are patient and very helpful all throughout the time spent.

I had a wonderful experience. Ha and Oanh were wonderful and happy to assist me with my lantern when needed. A fun experience that I totally recommend.

Highly recommended. Nice quiet thing to do when it gets to busy walking around the busy old town. The ladies gave us just the right level of guidance (single words English and lots of pointing and demonstrating), and assistance to get a sense of achievement to have built a latern ourselves, and to go away with a nicely finished latern. The shop being just outside the old town was more quiet and spacious compared to the latern making workshops we see inside the old town; so more serene. Very beautiful and glad we have done it!

Best classes of making lantern

The crew at the Latern making shop were amazing! They had a sense of humor, were very helpful, guided me along( I’m not known for my artistic talent!!), mine turned out so great!! Go with your family!! Or solo! Just go!!

We were able to walk in without a booking. All of the women were kind and helpful throughout, no mess-up was too big as there was always a helping hand! Beautiful fabrics to choose from and several different lantern shapes to choose or make made it such a unique experience - plus you get a special souvenir!

We joined Lynn’s lantern-making class in Hoi An’s Old Town and it was a highlight of our trip. As a group of three adults, we loved being able to select our own lantern shapes, silk materials, and colors.  The experienced craftsmen provided easy-to-follow instructions, so no prior skills were needed to create something beautiful.

Great experience and good fun! The ladies were very helpful and kind. An excellent souvenir to take home. Is a little hard to find but if you walk down the alleyway you will find it!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our lantern making experience. We chose the long session with creating the bamboo shell, stretching and sewing before adding the fabric. Our hosts were patient and assisting when needed. Great experience and would recommend.

I enjoyed the lantern making class very much! I booked at the last minute during the Tet holiday and the owner was very gracious and accommodating and getting me in to the class to make my lantern. They were very patient and helpful and it was a small group so easy to follow along with the instructions. I will enjoy the memory of my class when I take my lantern home and hang it there.

Very nice lady and the shop was a lot of fun and easy to follow she showed you what to do and then you did it. If you did something wrong she could fix it for you. And end result was beautiful

We had a wonderful time making lanterns this morning, guided carefully and kindly and not rushed so we could make beautiful lanterns to take home. Our teacher also took time to take photos with our phones of us holding our completed lanterns. We were able to choose the fabrics, shapes and tassel colours to make our pieces unique. It was in a lovely quiet street and was such a peaceful experience. Highly recommended.

Three of us went to Lynn's lantern making. She was very patient and it was a really lovely wholesome experience. She took lots of pictures for us and we just did the short class-one hour where you pick a material and stick it to the premade frame. It was really fun and Lynn was so nice and kind

We made two lanterns in the short class of around 1 hour being 250,000 vnd each. It was very well priced and the ladies were so helpful, and there were so many fabrics to choose from. Very good experience and would love to do it again!

Great experience making lanterns. Very fun great instruction. Lynn had just had a baby so she wasn't there, but it was her mother and another family member who were helping us. It took us about 30 to 45 minutes to do the short class and was very good priced.
