We had a wonderful trip with Mike, our guide and Tony, our driver. Walking through the tunnels was by far the highlight but spending time in the village, learning about its “warning” system and other untold stories about the war time period was very interesting. Visiting the Heart of the Great Mother was impressive and as impactful for the reason for erecting it.

This temple are known for its strong structure as its 4 columns survived the US and ARVN tanks trying to pull it down. Next, you will go to a nearby water well which is used for supplying water for the locals and also for alerting VC/NVA under it about enemy movements on the ground. You will go down the tunnel at the First Aid chamber beneath Thach Tan temple. The passage of about 0.8 m wide and 1.5 m tall leading you to the nearby exit right under mr Ky's house. Going down again, the passage will lead you to another exit under a nearby haystack. The tower was built in the late 10th and early 11th centuries, during the Champa period, transferring its capital from Quang Nam to Binh Dinh under the reign of Yan Pu Ku Vijaya. We had such a memorable day with Tony. Highly recommend this tour. It was very authentic and personalised and Tony was very knowledgeable, he took such good care of us and made the day fun and interesting.
The Ky Anh Tunnels Tour was an excellent experience that exceeded our expectations. Tony was friendly and so knowledgeable and we left with a much better understanding of Vietnam and its history. It was an honour to have Kim, a veteran with lived experience, to show us through the tunnels. The sticky rice for lunch was a real treat! Would thoroughly recommend this tour experience. Thanks Tony!
Tony is a great guide. He will take you to little places along the way that normally one would not go to. His English is good enough to help me understand Vietnamese language and culture. I recommend this tour guide especially for the historic tour.
What a fantastic experience! Tony was a great guide, full of really interesting information that made our day. Visiting the hero mother memorial, the Ky Anh tunnels and the nearby champa tower was eye opening and having Tony there to answer our questions and put a personal perspective on Vietnamese history was an amazing plus. 5 stars
Wonderful learning experience for the family with kids aged 8,11,13. The veteran answered our questions (translated by our guide) and led us through a section of the tunnels. It was short enough to have been finished by early afternoon and long enough to have time to think about the experiences of locals in the war while being in the environment where it happened.
We had a very impressive private tour with Tony, visiting the Ky Anh Tunnels, the Old Cham Tower, and the Heroic Mother Statue. The tour provided fascinating insights into Vietnam’s history and the impact of the Vietnam War. Tony is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He answered all our questions and shared many interesting historical details throughout the day. The comfortable, well-air-conditioned car made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about Vietnam’s history and culture.
Great off the beaten track destinations from Hoi An. The Ky Anh tunnel was an excellent experience over and above Cu Chi and Cham Tower equally a huge insight of local history. We were surprised that many of the local younger generation lack awareness of these attractions. Tony, our driver, was most informative with his local knowledge, safe and careful on the challenging traffic. This tour with Tony as driver is most recommended
Amazing opportunity to meet a vietnam war veteran and go in the tunnels however other larger groups can make it difficult to be included - as a family of four, we found the other much larger group dominated space and asked so many questions (responses were in french) leaving little time for our guide to ask/convey in english - what would help is a larger knowledge which is translated in english (ready for the tour) as we appreciate how difficult the translation can be - the veteran was a lovely proud man who shared his passion flower drink with our family at the end when the large group left - recommend if not alongside large group from other nations (translation) - private tour should mean exclusive/special
This was an excellent short excursion to very interesting locations with a wonderful guide who spoke excellent English (David). The Cham tower is a good addition to the My Son complex (if you’ve been there) and although it is just three towers, both my wife and I found it a worthwhile visit. The tunnels experience was also extremely interesting. The old village guide, in addition to David, had interesting stories to tell and answered all our questions. We enjoyed the lack of commercialism and the sense of history provided by the visit. If you’re a Ba Na Hills kind of person, you may not enjoy this as much as we did, but for us, it was the perfect morning trip on our last day in Hoi An! I would recommend if you’re looking for something a little different 🙂
Great Experience at Monkey Mountain and Lady Buddha “I had an unforgettable day visiting Money Mountain and Lady Buddha in Da Nang. The stunning views from the mountain are breathtaking, and the Lady Buddha statue is absolutely majestic. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, making the experience even more enriching. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Da Nang!”
The tour was well-organized, and we had plenty of time to explore the area. A perfect day out in Da Nang. Such a interested place.
A fun and unique experience that combines adventure with cultural exploration! The activity was exciting and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a memorable part of the trip!
The Lady Buddha tour was a captivating experience. The towering statue is impressive and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The visit allows you to learn about the cultural and religious significance of the Lady Buddha while enjoying the natural beauty of the site. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history, spirituality, and scenic views.
The Lady Buddha statue is truely aware-inspring sight. The peaceful atmosphere around the statue combined with the beautiful views of the city.
A peaceful and rewarding experience. The Lady Buddha statue is a must-see, and the views from the top of Monkey Mountain are spectacular. I also loved seeing the monkeys in the wild—it’s a great blend of nature and culture.
The Lady Buddha statue is simply magnificent and offers a spiritual experience. The hike up Monkey Mountain is well worth it for the views of Da Nang, the ocean, and the surrounding hills.
The Lady Buddha statue at Linh Ung Pagoda is an impressive sight that dominates the landscape. The tour takes you through beautiful natural surroundings, and the views from Monkey Mountain are absolutely stunning, making it a perfect place for both sightseeing and relaxation.
So amazing, so funny, whether you seek adventure, tranquility, or cultural exploration, Da Nang seemed to have it all. A trip here leaves one with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.
The whole trip was very well organised. Everything was on time. My guide was friendly, knew very well English and gave us a lot of information on the history of those places
This tour is all about exceptional service. The guides are attentive, offering insightful information throughout the journey, and the small-group setting allows for a more intimate, tailored experience. You'll feel well cared for every step of the way.
The Da Nang Archery Tour by Monkey Mountain and Lady Buddha Small Group is hands down one of the best trips you can take! With stunning views, an exciting archery experience, and the opportunity to visit the iconic Lady Buddha, this tour offers a perfect blend of adventure and culture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Da Nang!
It is so wonderful. This is the first time i do it, it is so amazing. The tour guide is very beautiful and friendly. I like this tour.
This tour was a perfect mix of adventure and sightseeing! The archery session was fun and well-organized, with a great instructor. Visiting Monkey Mountain and the Lady Buddha statue added stunning views and cultural insights. Highly recommend for a unique experience in Da Nang! 🎯🏹
I recently had the pleasure of joining this tour and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience.
We had 3 great days on our tour in Hue with Tâm and Hoi An with Vicky, which was put together for us. The visit to the Ky Anh Tunnels was very impressive. We can highly recommend Hung Le Travel.
Our driver and guide was great. He spoke good English and translated everything well. He was on time, too. The tunnels were really fascinating and also the veteran who told us a lot about the tunnels, history and war was great. Why we cannot give 5 stars is: The service description on the website had 3 main focuses. These were only partially fulfilled. There was no lunch as advertised. The driver tells us this is only true for the morning tour. But that was not described on the website. In addition, we could only view the monument "Mother of War" from the outside, as it was already closed on arrival. Which we regret very much. You should book her the tour for the afternoon differently. First to the monument, then the tunnels and then the towers. That's why only 5 stars.
