Hoi An: Private Car To Hue Via Hai Van Pass & Scenic Stops

Excellent day with Long, taking in the sights from Hoi An to Hue. Long was friendly, helpful, informative, a safe and smooth driver and a great photographer! The tour was exactly what we were looking for.

We did a one way day tour from Hoi An to Hue, stopping at Marble Mountain, Ba Na Hills, Hai Van Pass and Lap An Lagoon. Our driver David was great, he was super helpful and friendly, and a very safe driver. He was very knowledgeable, giving us lots of tips on how to make the most of our visits to Marble Mountain and Ba Na Hills. We loved having him as our driver, and definitely would recommend him to anyone looking to do a tour of the area.

We booked with Hue tours and transfers and had a great day with our driver, Leo. We included Golden Bridge was amazing to see. Worth doing this instead of a direct transfer. Leo looked after us very well.

We absolutely loved the tour from Hoi An to Hue! Our driver Hai was fantastic, taking us safely to all of the sights. He was very friendly and also genuinely funny. There was ample time to explore and to take the time we needed to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Because we went with a private car, the tour could easily be adapted to our needs! We felt incredibly taken care of and would whole-heartedly recommend booking the Tour.

Our driver (Leo) was on time and professional. He provided us with water bottles and wet wipes for our trip, which was a nice added touch. He was willing to accommodate if we wanted to stop anywhere or slow down while we were driving by the Hai Van Pass to take videos. He was ok with us spending extra time at Marble Mountain too. He is very social and asks a lot of questions to get to know you, which is great if you want a more interactive experience during the drive, but I could see some people preferring to have a quiet ride. Overall, it was a good experience to get us from Hoi An to Hue and see some places along the way.

Our trip from Hoi An to Hue was beautiful, even in spite (or maybe because of) the rain. It is 100 % worth it. Our driver Khanh was very forthcoming, knowledgeable about the area and history of Vietnam and spoke good english. He was patient at the stops and gave us every opportunity to have the best time possible. He was also a very good driver and had some good recommendations for our time in Hue.

Alex was a wonderful guide and driver (timely, safe etc.). Clean car, well organised trip. He can make good suggestions for lunch as well!

The tour was very nice, we could enjoy several stops like marble mountain, Hai van pass, lap and lagoon, while we were traveling from Hoi An to Hue. Our driver was very nice with us and help us to enjoy the tour.

We ve been to : marble montagn, haï van pass, lagoon, an bang cimetery (which was awesome!) and he had some nice informations to tell us and explain every part of the trip ! Today we travelled from Hoi An to Hue, via the Hai Van Pass and Marble Mountains, Monkey Mountain and the lagoon. Our driver, Tim, was excellent and managed to adapt the timetable due to the poor weather/ visibility. He arrived punctually in a clean car, his driving was very safe and we had full confidence in him. He explained the journey as we travelled as well as some local facts. It was a wonderful experience. All day Hoi An to Hue trip with sightseeing multiple places was fantastic. Our driver and tour guide Son was great. We had a great day with our driver Long! He was very friendly, drove very safely, spoke perfect English, and taught us a lot about Vietnam, its culture and the sights we passed. We even had a delicious local lunch and tasted some oysters and rice wine.

Very good experience! Our driver Bo was great and we had a lot of fun chatting with him about Vietnamese history and culture along the way. He waited for us patiently, allowing time to visit the temples with no rush, and ensured we had a safe and pleasant ride.

We did our trip actually from Lang Co to Hoi An. The agency was helpful to accomodafe our changes to the classi 1 day tour from Hue to Hoi An. Our driver TIEN came to pick us up in the morning, smiling and full of energy. He immediatly toke us to have breakfast under our request. During the day we spoke really a lot, his english is fluent and clear, and he explained us many things about history and current trends in vietnamese society! He even invited us to his place but unfortunately we could not come back to Hue, but surely next time we will contact him! So, if you are eager to do this trip ask absolutely for TIEN as a driver, he made our day!

I recently took a transfer from Hoi An to Hue, and it turned out to be an excellent tour. Our driver, Vu, made the journey memorable by offering great options along the way. We visited Marble and Monkey Mountains, and traversed the stunning Hai Van Pass. Although we skipped Ba Na Hills, we explored the fascinating Ao Nang Cemetery instead, which was a unique experience. Vu was not only a safe driver but also knew all the best spots for photos. His local knowledge and flexibility made the trip enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this service for anyone looking to travel between Hoi An and Hue.

The trip was awsome, we can see almost every beautiful things from Hue to Hoian ⛰️🏞️. The driver explain a lot about the place we went and also help to take photos of us. I recommend this trip with Samtour 🫶

We were incredibly well looked after by our driver, with him giving us some of the local history and showing us local spots too. He was a Hue local, and so knew everything even the local ghost stories.

We had a wonderful trip with along as our guide! He was a joy to travel with, sharing his jokes/stories and a wealth of information. Also an excellent photographer! He gave us plenty of cultural insight along the way, as well as tips on where to visit/eat on the rest of our destinations in Vietnam. Very comfortable drive too - in a spacious and air conditioned car. Perfect for the hot day. Long and the Samtour company were easy to contact via WhatsApp and very responsive.

If we could give more than five stars, we would! Loi was probably one of the best tour guides my husband and I have had and we’ve traveled very extensively! From the very start, communication was prompt, clear and easy. I had heard good things about Loi on TripAdvisor, but he still exceeded our expectations. We decided we wanted to do a transfer from Hoi An to Hue with stops along the way. We wanted to depart early at 5am to fit in quite a big day and to get to My Son sanctuary nice and early (which I highly recommend doing to beat the heat and the crowd). Loi greeted us with a big warm smile and made us feel welcome immediately. The car was new, clean and aircon good. We were offered bottled water and if you wanted, there was even Wi-Fi! Along the way Loi shared so many Interesting facts about the area and the places we were visiting. Plus he answered many of our other questions about the Vietnamese culture and country. It was wonderful how knowledgeable he was. And very fun and funny too! At each stop he made sure take us all the way to get tickets, always pointed out the restrooms if we needed, and offered to take photos for us many times… which he is very good at! Loi was very flexible and patient and made sure we got to do everything we wanted to do. He recommended the most amazing and affordable restaurant so we could experience the local Hue food - And hands-down, it was probably the best food we’ve eaten so far in Vietnam!! Not only that he went above and beyond to find us a room close to the train station while we were having our meal. We needed somewhere just for 3-4 hours so we could shower and rest after a very long hot day and before we board our train tonight at 8:40PM. And it cost only $9 Australian! (150,000VND). THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We are super grateful and will have many wonderful memories from this day.

The tour guide/driver was the best one ever. He gave us the many information to the tour and cities. He stop at the best places to take pictures and made also pictures from both of us. He made a coffee stop on the best coffee place at the HaVan pass. And he recommended to stop at the Lagune for eating oyster and we don’t like oyster but we tested it and it was amazing. We had the most amazing day travelling & sight seeing on our journey from Hoi An to Hue. Our lovely driver Vu, arrived early to pick us up & did not at all rush us to begin. We were able to customise our itinerary for the day with Vu's reccomendations which saw us visit; Monkey Mountain, Hia Van Pass with multiple stops, Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Beach, An Bang Cemetery & then we opted to head to the hotel as we were feeling the heat. Vu had lots of information about local areas & helped keep us cool with fresh cold water & cold towels. His car was kept clean & comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful day Vu

We had a great time on our transfer from Hoi An to Hue! Instead of just catching a bus, we were able to see so many beautiful sights. We travelled from Hoi An to Hue and visited the Golden Bridge, Lapan Oyster Lagoon, Marble Mountains and viewpoints along the Hai Van pass. Ben was an excellent driver. We took the private cae from Hoi An to Hue, with a longer stop at Bach Ma- National Park. It was a pleasure to travel with Vu. He was driving carefully, but not slow, showed us some really beautifully places and answered our many questions patiently.

Our driver Tom was waiting for us on time at the hotel and waited patiently while we checked out. We understood well with him as he is fluent enough in English. The car is comfortable, clean and gave us water. In addition, he accompanied us to the ticket gate and we were able to enjoy enough time of each stop agreeing reasonable visiting times.

It was very punctual (I was at the hotel before the agreed time). He has always offered us cold water, as well as if we wanted to stop for lunch, take pictures, etc. Throughout the trip he was telling us anecdotes, stories and curiosities, which has made it very pleasant and comfortable. Drive very quietly and safely, making it 100% recommended.
