Sue was a great tour guide. She's knowledgeable about the local culture and food, and it was a pleasure to be shown around to some of the best food I've had in Vietnam. There was almost no waiting time at the food places. I tried 9 different local foods, and by the end I was quite full and satisfied

Emily was a great guide. She was very informative and very fun to be with. She showed us all the local eats and told us a lot about the history of the food and the town.

4 hours of food, facts and fun! Our guide Sue, introduced us to a variety of traditional dishes with stories of Vietnamese history and culture along the way. An interesting and enjoyable way to wander around the old town while eating and learning and having fun.

Tam was an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of the food was exceptional. We went to places we wouldn't know about or even think of going. The tastes of Hoi An were really fantastic. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

My wife and I did the evening street food tour. We tasted 10 different dishes across 5 restaurants. Very full by the end! Emily was a great guide. Visited places we never would have otherwise.

We had a fantastic street food tour with our amazing guide, Sue! :-) Sue took us around the streets of Hoi An explaining a lot about the history as well as the different types of foods eaten by the locals. We ate at eight different venues so got to try lots of different things! One of our favourites was Banh Can. Sue ended the tour by taking us for a dessert ... Coconut Ice Cream which was absolutely delicious! We would definitely recommend booking a tour with Billy - he was very helpful and ensured that we got a great tour! And a big thank you to Sue for taking such good care of us! ;-)

Emily was our host and she did a fantastic job of guiding us, giving great stories, introducing us to the hosts who prepared our meals and generally making us laugh. This was an engaging and interesting tour with food we had not tried elsewhere, well worth it!!

I had a wonderful time on the Hoi An evening tour with guide Emily. We tried many local delicious dishes, had good pacing, and our guide Emily was great. She was really knowledgeable and I learned a lot not only about the dishes but about the history in Hoi An. I would highly recommend this tour and they really try to customize the experience for each person which was nice!

The Hoi An food tour with Billy was absolutely fantastic! Billy has an incredible depth of knowledge about local food, Vietnamese culture, and the history of Hoi An. We had a wonderful experience on the Hoi An food tour with Billy. What I enjoyed most was that this was much more than simply being taken from one food stall to another. Billy introduced us to several local dishes, but, more importantly, he explained the history and stories behind the food. We learned why certain ingredients are used, how some dishes developed, and how Hoi An’s history as a trading port influenced its local cuisine. It made every dish feel much more meaningful. Instead of just thinking, “This tastes good,” we started to understand where the food came from and why it became part of Hoi An’s culture. The stories about the local people, traditions, and the way food has been passed down through generations were especially interesting. The food itself was delicious and we visited places that felt genuinely local rather than touristy. The pace was relaxed, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. If you enjoy food but also want to understand the culture and history behind what you eat, I highly recommend this tour. It gave us a much deeper appreciation of Hoi An and its cuisine.

Today was my first day joining the tour with Billy Vietnam Travel, and it was such a wonderful start to my time in Hoi An! The tour was not only about tasting delicious local food, but also about discovering so many interesting things , the stories behind each dish, the local culture, and the daily life of people here. Everything was explained in a fun and easy way, which made the experience even more special. Among all the dishes we tried, my favorite was definitely bánh căn. The crispy edges, the soft center, and the rich dipping sauce were just perfect. I already want to have it again! A great first day, full of flavor and new knowledge. Looking forward to the rest of the journey!

We tried so many local specialties, including Cao Lau, White Rose dumplings and several dishes we would never have discovered on our own. Everything felt authentic and personal, and Billy’s local knowledge made the experience even more special. What we enjoyed most was that it didn’t feel like a typical tourist food tour. Had an awesome time with a considerate and knowledgeable host Sue. The food was delicious and I was left stuffed by the end after I tried lots of things that would be easy to miss or otherwise be a little intimidated to go and try. I can see why it’s highly recommended and would encourage others to do it.

We absolutely loved our food tour of Hoi An. Billy was easy to communicate with and was very kind and helpful. Emily was our tour guide and was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and taught us so much more than just about the food - we learnt some Vietnamese and also lots about the local culture. She is an expert. The food was so delicious and it was incredible to try 9 different delicacies! Would recommend this tour to anyone.

We had a great tour with Flower. She was so knowledgeable and took us to some great food destinations we never would have tried otherwise. She treated our little girls so well and even helped to carry as well as feed them at times. Absolute 5 start service! This tour will definitely be one of our highlights on this trip. We didn't bring a pram as we were worried about the rain but it is suitable for a pram.

I am sad. I can only give five stars. I wish I could give more. Emily was fantastic with her knowledge, her kindness and caring and the wonderful places that she took me, but I would’ve never found on my own. I wish I could take this towards all the other cities I was going to visit and have them do it because it was wonderful and I can’t recommend this highly enough to anyone who is coming here rush the sign up

I had a great experience with Sue. The food was so delicious and the coconut ice cream is just succulent. Sue’s description of the food and the culture was top notch 😍she even gave us Vietnamese prononciation lessons . She made the tour even more fun and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend

I had the most amazing time! Our guide Emily was incredible, so knowledgeable and patient. We had a small group because it was rainy season, but thanks to Emily it was still so much fun! And the food was absolutely incredible!!! I felt like it was more than worth the price I paid. It helped me feel more comfortable in the city, and confident walking around after. I would highly recommend this tour, you will leave with a full stomach and heart!

Firstly we had alot of great vietnamese food of which we definitely needed a nap afterwards. Emily was our guide and she was very informative on the food, ingredients and how they were prepared. Highlights were the white rose dumplings and avocado ice-cream. I think they cater the places you visit based what suits the group they have so you might visit other establishments to our tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to all, you won't be disappointed.

Great few hours spent, learning about the culture and food of Hoi An. Easy conversation and lots of unique spots.

Our guid was Flower and she was great. She took us to all the great spots, tried food we would have never even thought about trying. I have a few allergies and she was able to communicate with the staff so that I could try a version of the original dishes. I highly recommend this tour, I think we went to 8 different spots, and all of it was amazing!

My guide, Flower, was very friendly and helpful in explaining the various foods. I was the only one booked so I had my own personal guide. Nine stops, plenty of amazing food!

Come with an appetite, and after 10 different dishes sampled walking around Hội An's streets and laneways, undoubtedly you will be sated. This was a fun way to discover and learn about the local street food scene, including specialities bánh bèo (soft steamed rice cakes with savoury topping), White Rose dumplings (rice-flour dumplings filled with seasoned shrimp-pork), and Madam Khanh's bánh mì which came into notoriety from Anthony Bourdain's visit. Hua was a friendly host who made the tour fun and easy.

Emily was THE BEST. I absolutely loved this tour. We got several dishes from local places that you would have never ever found otherwise. At the end of the tour, our group was like a little family. Emily fostered a great environment of learning, conversation, laughs and good memories. Definitely do this activity; you will have the best time. It is a great way to see the city and have fun while trying new food.

This is an absolute must activity! There’s no way you would try all those delicious foods in Hoi An without a guide. You wouldn’t know which places to visit or what food to order. Emily, our guide, was excellent and knowledgeable. She’s a true local and knew were the best places where. She also shared very valuable information about Hoi An’s history and the story behind the places that we visited. I couldn’t rate her high enough. She was fantastic and the tour, I would very highly recommend. She was also very mindful of my son‘s preferences and tried to accommodate them as best as she could. We both had a great time.

2 adults and 2 17 year old boys as family of 4 with two other singles on the tour. Really enjoyed tour with Hua who was great fun and we ate at street outlets we would never otherwise have eaten at. Nice to talk to others and learn of their experiences as well as learning some Vietnamese phrases from Hua. 10 dishes - don't eat lunch, we were full after 7 dishes! A must do. Thanks!

Loved this tour - a real must if in Hoi An. Flower was an exceptional guide, taking us through the back streets to lots of local street food vendors that we would never have found or tried. They also went out of their way to make sure our veggie had alternatives at all the stops and provided an alternative to fish sauce. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Our lovely tour guide Flower took us for an amazing and varied selection of local food embedded within the local community, we went to places that we would have not be able to find on our own. Emily gave us a wonderful food tour! We only had one day in Hoi An and wanted to try a wide variety of local food so this tour was perfect for us. Not only did we try several regional specialties, we also supported local businesses with long histories. Emily also took us off the main roads and taught us about some local customs and traditions. We had the best time on the tour with Emily! They let us know there was a religious festival today so some places might be closed but they adjusted the tour accordingly! We had a mix of walking and taking a shuttle bus which was handy. Emily was so kind, friendly and knowledgeable about Hoi An and all the food - we had such an amazing evening and would recommend it to anyone!

Billy’s Travel website have so many wonderful tours and we decided to book the morning walking tour of Hoi An (and a tour of Da Nang- separate review done). It was a half day tour and felt like a good choice for my 7 year old. From my first email to the company, everything was handled so professionally and smoothly. Easy and clear communication for bookings, punctual guides and car transport, knowledgeable and well spoken guides - we were really impressed! We were rly happy to see Billy would be our tour guide! As he grew up in Hoi An, we really got to experience Hoi A like a local. We heard unique stories we wouldn’t have known otherwise, visited historically significant sights and tasted amazing delicacies.
