Hoi An Private Lantern Cruise(boat) By Romantic Sunset/night

Captain Co. What a beautiful and memorable experience! Taking a private lantern boat cruise along the Thu Bon River at night was one of the most romantic moments of our visit to Hoi An. Seeing the colorful lanterns illuminating the river and surrounding town was absolutely magical. Having our own private boat made the experience even more special, and Captain Co. made our night! He was wonderful—friendly, accommodating, and happy to help us capture some beautiful photos. I had to make a date change ahead of time and he was so accomadating. Releasing our lotus lanterns onto the water was such a lovely experience, especially while celebrating our anniversary. The cruise was relaxing, well organized, and a great value. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Hoi An!

Honestly I thought it was underwhelming

Amazing experience with my family! After arriving a bit late it was just so welcoming and easy once we found the place. The ancient Hoi An village roads are closed to cars so we found out you can only get so far but its only about 500 metre walk from drop off we just followed our google walking map. It was proposal cruise and our captain was perfect. Professional friendly and he got so amazing photos for our special occasional so grateful highly recommend this service to everyone!

Our boat experience was hardly 20minutes. Save your money and book when you arrive. There are so many vendors by the river offering competitive pricing.

Very well organised and clear instructions were given in advance by Whatsapp regarding meeting point. Boat Captain was excellent and friendly and not intrusive at all and took great photos. The private boat is well worth it for the comfort and very romantic. Lovely 45 minute sunset cruise to release lanterns and see Hoi An from the water. Would definitely recommend this company.

Trip advisor made it easy. Sign with name at meeting point. Captain of little boat did an amazing job of taking pictures, setting up the candle lanterns to be released, and to taking us to photo spots along the river. Made our anniversary more special.

Absolutely wonderful memorable experience. Our skipper was lovely and very kind. He took lots of photos and videos of us, even prompting particular poses and steering the boat to capture truly photogenic backgrounds. He videoed us lighting the lanterns using our phones and at no extra charge for the photography service!

A really lovely evening cruise. We loved releasing the lanterns and the driver made an effort to go to quieter areas and took lots of photos and videos for us.

There’s nothing special about this, and the boat was made of plywood and duct tape pretty much. The motor was extremely loud and chugging. However, I feel like you have to do it just because you’re in Hoi An and that’s the thing to do at night. Also scheduling with a company like this is better because you’re not being haggled or worrying about getting ripped off.

The lantern boat ride was more than we could have hoped for! Our driver was amazing and he took the most perfect pictures and videos for us. Definitely something to do when you’re in Hoi An!

This is such good value for money. We had a wonderful time and Mr Co looked after us beautifully. He took us on a lovely cruise along the river and made sure the experience was extra special. Excellent experience throughout! Our guide met us with a nice drink a few minutes early for our private boat trip. We were on a larger boat. But, it was all just for us, with seats right up front. We were given lanterns to release on two occasions. Our guide took lots of pics for us. We did the 6pm so it was a beautiful night to see all the lights from other boats, lanterns in the water, the bridges and businesses along the river. It was a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Our family of 11 people and 2 kids had a memorable lantern Cruise experience. We will do it again with this company.

Really enjoyed this experience - Hoi An is a lovely place and this boat trip is worth doing. We did the 5pm trip as we wanted to be on the boat when the sun went down.

It was fun! Not the easiest to find on your first trip to Hoian Old Town. Just keep asking people and you’ll get there eventually. It was a private tour and nice having the boat to ourselves. Lighting and floating the lanterns is fun.

The host went over and above to make it a beautiful experience for us. He put so much effort to make our ride extra special with a special cake and decorations. Amazing!

We took the 6pm boat ride on 8 Sep 2025. It was the right time to see the many lights at night. But if u prefer to watch the sunset, perhaps the 5pm ride would be better. It was drizzling a bit and was a cool and excellent time for the boat ride. Our boat captain was super attentive, diligent at his job and very knowledgeable about taking the best photos, angles, backdrops. You can be rest assured for having wonderful photos, a nice, safe and peaceful experience. You get to light and place the lantern into the water at 2 different locations. Don't forget to make a wish before you release the lantern. Highly recommended 45min experience for couples!

View was amazing. The captain kept stopping the boat to take photos of us in the best places. There was only 2 of us on the boat and it was just gorgeous.

our captain was nice and funny, helped us with iur poses for our photos, smooth ride and had free beers. Only con was finding our driver due to heaps of other boats and captains there but eventually found him with our name on a board. Overall great experience.

So good we had lots of laughs with our captain. Recommend this well worth the price. We got to light a few lanterns with amazing photos taken.

Celebrated my daughters 50th birthday..the captain set the boat up for some wonderful shots..was a very special ride..made the day definitely. A night we will remember with just my daughter, her partner, me and my husband..A very special time.

Pleasant captain delivered as trip as promised with good service taking photos, and lantern release however the promised 45 mins was reduced to 35 despite an agreed request to stick to the full time. 35 minutes was actually enough for us. We hit the time of day right with dusk then dark for both views. Would recommend this cruise.

Had a lovely sunset cruise. The captain was so lovely. Took photos and was very attentive. We had a can of local beer to drink during our trip. It was so lovely approaching the harbour. The beautiful boats around.

I had an amazing experience on the Hoi An River Boat Tour! This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam. The boat was beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and attentive. The scenery along the river was stunning, with picturesque views of the ancient town and surrounding countryside.

Delightful private cruise with a lovely sunset. The captain helped us by taking photos and videos and helping to light and float lanterns.

Lovely experience with Mr Co - lit lanterns and he took some fabulous photos of us all plus made sure we were able to alight and get on the boat in a dry area (as much of the street areas by where the boats launch get flooded)

Our captain was a true professional! There was flooding on the street where we had to meet the boat and he moved his boat to a different part of the street so we didn’t have to cross through the deep water. Also, he took great photos of us and made sure we stayed dry the whole trip!

When we booked, we weren’t sure what to expect - but what we got was, AWESOME!!! This was the perfect activity on our last night in Hoi An. Arranging the trip was easy. We booked it and went to the designated location they provided us. Our boatman found us and brought us each a cold beer for the trip. We went just after the sun went down so we got some sunset color but it was nice and dark by the time we were done. Everything was beautiful at night. The lanterns on shore and on the other boats were lovely. We set our lighted lanterns to sail and took a ton of pictures.

It was a great tour. I met a very friendly and sociable girl. I recommend all you guys to book this tour

woow. I could not believe in my eyes. Hue's so peaceful and tradional city. I saw a lot of women who are wearing Ao dai. My family also enjoyed some local food. I could not remember their name but their favour so weird and I like it at all.
