Hoi An Local Market And Vegetable Village Cooking Class

Easy pick up and drop off from our accommodation made this a breeze. Great to be guided through central market for our ingredients. My wife and I visited the vegetable village. Our guide was so knowledgeable with showing us around the farm and picking out fresh growing herbs and vegetables to smells and feel for ourselves. Felt connected and more understanding of the food we've been eating and ingredients for cooking Cooking class was great fun and hands on. We loved learning to make the dishes we've been eating on our trip and cant wait to try them at home. Our guide was great at demonstrating and helping us with technique

Tour was great. We didn’t quite know how we would go with a fussy 10 year old and fussier 6 year old but they embraced the whole experience. The boat ride was good but really hot. The food was definitely the highlight. Best meal we have had in Vietnam and very easy to cook. Will definitely be trying these dishes at home.

Amazing afternoon with great food, Hai was great!

Disappointing, we were looking forward to going to the organic vegetable village that was 15km out by the sea, with our cooking class and visit to local market. The local market was only 10 minutes a waste of time and he look us to a small organic co-op garden that was boring. The only thing that was good was the cooking class. You really need check what you pay for.

Really loved the tour around the community vegetable garden. Hands on tasting and smelling of all the herbs and vegetables used in Vietnamese dishes. Food we cooked was delicious! And chef was hilarious, made for a fun experience.

Visit to the Organic garden was nice and we enjoyed identifying various herbs and local vegetables. Highlight of the tour though was the cooking class. We are Vegetarian, so Chef Hai made sure that dishes and recipes he selected for us only had Vegetarian ingredients. We made 4 dishes, and I can still feel that yummy taste lingering in my mouth. He was great with helping us learn the skills too.

This was a lovely way to spend half a day. A market visit with discussion of veggies and herbs. Then a boat ride with a review of different fishing techniques. The cooking demo and hands on was super and very tasty.

Had the best time today! Went to the market first and bought a few items for our cooking class. Then we went on the basket boats. It’s soooo busy but great fun! The cooking class was fantastic and you definitely won’t leave hungry! A great day! And thanks to our guide Hai!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We explored a local market and purchased fresh vegetables. We then went to a local organic farm where we learned about the local produce and talked with the local farmers. Followed by our 5 course cooking class which had some of the best Vietnamese food we have ever had. Icing on the cake, Lee was a fantastic Chef and guide throughout the whole process. Beautiful scenery and can't recommend enough.

Tour guide/Chef Ly Hi brought us to a Vegetable farm. visit was enjoyable, eye opening, we were introduced to many herbs that Vietnamese use in their cuisines.

Absolutely loved the whole experience. Ha was an amazing guide and teacher. The coconut boats were great fun, very informative going around the markets to get the ingredients and the actual cookery class was top notch, with the food being on another level

Wonderful tour of cooperative eco vegetable farm. It was really informative and great to learn about the herbs and tastes we have had to date. We had an amazing time! We were taken around the local market to pick the ingredients for the meal. Ly was great and showed us all around the vegetable village, teaching us things along the way. We cooked the vegetarian option. The cooking was fun and at our pace and the food tasted incredible. They were lovely hosts that also gave us some extra courses that they prepared themselves. This was such a fun experience. From the walk through the vegetable field to the market and then of course cooking the food. Our guide Ly was so much fun and very informative. They understood my requirement for gluten free food which made me so relived and I was able to enjoy the food knowing it wouldn’t make me sick. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back next time we come to Hoj An.

The organic garden and the market were really fun and interesting, even in the pouring rain! The cooking class was fantastic, very hands on, and the instructions super clear. But the best part was that the food was delicious! Can't wait to try again at home.

We had a wonderful time viewing the vegetable fields followed by a trip to a local market. We then headed back to the kitchen where we learnt how to cook some wonderful Vietnamese dishes. Ly was an amazing chef.

Me and my daughter really enjoyed learning about Vietnamese culture and food. We both had so much fun on the coconut boats, fishing, going to the market and most of all cooking a delicious 3 course meal. I would definitely recommend tourists to come and experience this!

Our group tour booked this tour company for the day. We had Chef Hai Hi as our guide. He took everyone for a ride on a bamboo boat, sailing through the bay. Afterward, we took a quick walk through the open market, exploring the vegetables and herbs needed for our cooking class. Then, our guide took us to the cooking school, where we all participated in preparing local dishes, which we learned and eventually ate for lunch. The food was delicious. On behalf of our group, I would say we all had a fun time and would totally recommend this company if you are ever in Hoi An.
