Our guide Bin was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We went to amazing places that would have been impossible to find on your own and had a wide variety of really tasty food. Very generous portions, heed the advice to arrive hungry! Bin also gave us lots of information about the history of Hoi An and the various influences on its food. I thought it was very good value for money and would highly recommend this tour.

Itinerary
Our guide will meet you at White Rose Restaurant. You will stop there and try dumplings made from a family recipe that has been kept for over 130 years.
Stop at a local market when many food stalls open for students after school. You will try five tastings of traditional cakes. You may be surprised because they are savory, not sweet.
Because it was an international trading port, where people met and shared cultures, Hoi An became the place of the first Catholic church in Vietnam. There are many interesting stories about Vietnam’s history from this church. You can learn more when you join the tour with our knowledgeable guide.
Visit the Ba Le Well area and sample the food here, where locals still share stories and rumors about the special water here.
Visit Hoi An Central Market. Many stalls look the same, and some sellers can be pushy. But there is one special stall that Anthony Bourdain visited and featured on his TV series. Even though it has no queue and is not crowded, it feels like a forgotten Anthony Bourdain spot.

Don took us on a great tour of historical+local food spots in Hoi An old town. Even though we had walked around the old town during the day we learned x10 more about the town and Vietnam in general during the night tour. We also met most of local eatery owners which was fun and gave a more personal touch to each place. My favorites were the black sesame soup and tapioca dumplings, but all 8 spots were delicious and unique. None were places I would have found by myself. Don is a very knowledgeable guide and answered many linguistic questions for us. Go in with an open mind and an empty stomach!
A great food tour: we visited several spots and tried a wide selection of dishes. The food tasted great. It felt nice to try some local places that I wouldn't have been game to try myself. The guide was friendly, told some interesting local stories. It really made me feel more connected to Hoi An.
Fantastic tour. Bin was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a great insight into the food and background to the dishes and the chefs as well as Hoi An as a city. Would recommend for anyone looking to explore the city and try lots of amazing food
What an amazing experience, absolutely must do, you will see Hoi Anh in a different positive lens!!
I had such a wonderful experience with Phuc! We visited 12 different places, and getting to explore Hoi An through its food while learning about the town’s history and culture was truly enriching. Phuc was a fantastic guide, making the experience both enjoyable and insightful. It was a lovely way to discover the local food scene and learn more about Hoi An. Highly recommend this experience!
Don was our guide and he took us to many great places. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the town and shared many interesting facts. A good variety of foods which were mainly savoury. Highly recommend!
Don was a great guide. Lots of information and lots of food. You have to be open-minded, but the walk is mostly flat, so that's a bonus. We got out of the tourist area, which is what you NEED to do. I think we had about 12 dishes and visited 7 or 8 places/family houses. Seeing so many sweet grandmas who have been making food for years and years was comforting. As an Australian, I was worried about my tummy, but everything seemed good. I would recommend it.
We had an amazing street food tour with our guide Don! It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the local cuisine and discover authentic local flavors. Don explained everything so well, sharing interesting insights about each dish and the local food culture. Every single dish was unique and delicious, and the whole experience felt personal, welcoming, and well-organized. We felt in great hands throughout the tour and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to explore the local food scene!
This Tour is great for people who want to try out different dishes in Hoi An (I recommend doing it early in the trip so you can eat at the locations again! I did too) while also getting interesting information about the history of the city and the restaurants itself. I also asked the guide lots of things about vietnamese culture in general, and got many tips about travelling in vietnam. I really enjoyed the tour and left happy with a full belly, even though it was raining that evening :)
Don our guide was very friendly. Spoke clear English and knowledgeable about the town and foods eaten and establishments. Happy to give us recommendations on other services apart from food. Tried a variety of different things. Not all too my liking but interesting to learn of the meals origins. Thanks for a wonderful first night here. It filled our bellies. 😁
The trip was lovely, Don showed us all the beautiful and historical places in Hoi An, this was not only a foodtour, it was an amazing cultural experience!
Don was an amazing tourguide!! Learned so much and enjoyed some amazing food!
Good experience, good food! Really enjoyed my time.
We ate so much food, all of them delicous, definetly worth money
Amazing food tour - every stop was better than the last. Our guide Dom was very knowledgeable and took us to some hidden gems. Dom’s English was very good. I’d highly recommend this tour.
Don was amazing! Very kind and accommodating. He knew so much about the history of the food and families who have been making it for years. Very satisfied and highly recommend!
We loved our food tour with Leo. He took us to so many places we never would have found on our own to try authentic local dishes. We learnt so much about the history of Hoi an. Many of our stops were at small local businesses and sometimes even in people's houses. We appreciated that the tour helped to promote local small businesses with a rich history. You won't be disappointed if you choose this food tour. We have done one in each city in Vietnam we have visited and they've all been so different.
Leo and Hai were amazing guides! We got to travel all over Hoi A for 5 hours trying local foods and meeting locals. The entire trip was extremely safe and very fun I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone.
Leo and Hai were fantastic guides on our 12-stop Hoi A food tour! So knowledgeable, friendly and local. Amazing food and an unforgettable experience! 100% would recommend!
We had amazing and very unique food! A mix of the typical Hoi An food you'd like to try and some niche bites. All the food was delicious and we got to interact with some locals who made the food. The guide is very passionate about food and you can absolutely tell! She showed and explained how to eat and the origin of the food.
Experience was amazing !! Cuong was amazing , he informed us of every meal !! He was very patient and spoke great English! I would highly recommend booking this tour with him
Excellent tour, our tour guide Leo was very friendly, gave us lots of information about the background of each dish we tried and about the general area. His English was excellent and we highly recommend him, first class! The food servings were very generous, we definitely did not need dinner afterwards and we went to places you would never find on your own
This is a brilliant food tour! Quin is a wonderful guide, she is very knowledgeable and a real foodie.
We had a really lovely time with Leo getting to try a bunch of local spots that we would’ve missed otherwise. Good food for really good value, with very comprehensive and fun stories and history attached!!
Leo was very informative and lovely! My family really enjoyed the experience and left the tour very full. There was a good variety in the foods we tried and we also got to try foods we wouldn’t usually find without a guide. We especially liked the Cao Lau noodles and the tapioca dumplings.
Leo was very informative and led us to very nice spots to get an idea of what the cuisine around Hoi An is like. Would definitely recommend!
Man was our friendly guide who took us to 7 delicious stops spanning dumplings, noodles and a couple of sweet treats. We ate at local spots I never would have otherwise visited. A great off the beaten path option for those looking to learn more about Hoi An’s food and history. My favourite was trying to contrasts of three types of dumplings and learning about how the Chinese and Japanese trade influenced the local food.
Excellent food tour and a great way to discover Hoi An’s local food scene. We visited many different places that I would never have found on my own. Our guide, Man, spoke excellent English and did a fantastic job explaining not only the food but also the history and local culture. The atmosphere with the other travelers was very friendly, making it a fun and social experience. I highly recommend this tour if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food and learn more about Hoi An.
This was a great experience trying a variation of local dishes in Hoi An. We visited local food hotspots that were not mentioned online, and wouldn’t have thought to try, but were a very pleasant surprise! Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, warm and friendly. Thank you!
My experience on this food tour was great. We tried a wide range of different dishes which were all delicious and were well portioned. Our tour guide was also very knowledgable and was able to answer all questions. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Our group of 5 friends took this tour and had a great time trying 12 different foods across hoi an. All the spots were authentic local spots with fantastic local cuisine that I would never had thought to try. Our guide Quin was very friendly and informative making it a great experience to do when I’m hoi an.
Quin is fun and insightful, she took us to so many incredible places, food was just so good and yummy! Hope to see you again quin and to try more delicious food! light and love - Luka
Quin took us on a walking tour through the back streets of Vietnam, you really felt like you had left the tourist parts of Hoi An and were really in the thick of local Hoi An. You get to eat some very diverse food and some of the best we had in the whole Vietnam. Not every dish is for every person and Quin is very upfront about that it's a genuine cuisine tasting tour and not a "top ten popular Vietnam take away". It's well worth it, Quins so insightful and she works so hard to make a good vibe and has a lot of fun with the tour. Not only food tastingbut Quin gives you the history behind the food and the people making it
Such a fun experience! We tried eight different local dishes, many I would have never found on my own. I loved learning the history behind each food and getting to support small family-run businesses. Quyen was a great guide and made the whole tour so enjoyable. Definitely recommend!
very much recommend this tour ! our tour guide quin was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about hoi ans food and history. went to so many places we wouldn’t never found on our own !
Quin did a wonderful job introducing us to many of the foods that are unique to Hoi An. We were able to taste so many delicious dishes and learn about Hoi An’s history through food. Come hungry and pace yourself.
**Highly recommended!** Quyen was an excellent guide and the food choices were amazing. She guided us thru some beautiful parts of Hoi An in our way to various foods tastings. We even experience a thunderstorm during in the middle of our tour, but Quyen made sure we still enjoyed our time. The thunderstorm was actually a delightful experience since it cooled down the city and we only got a little wet. Make sure you come very hungry, because there will be more than enough food. If you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese food, this is am excellent way to familiarize yourself with the choices at restaurants
This was one of the best things we did in Hoi An. Such a wonderful way to see the city and learn about the culture. Sonny, our tour guide, was lovely and very knowledgeable. Would really recommend
Sonny was absolutely exceptional. This was the best thing we did in hoi an. Cannot recommend enough- great value for money for 4 hours of perfect food and culture.
It was the perfect way to taste and learn about Vietnamese food, Andy was a fantastic guide very knowledgeable about Vietnam food and culture. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to know more about Vietnam… 12/10
This was more than just a food-tasting tour. Quin gave us a deep dive into the local heroes of Hoi An cuisine and how meticulously they prepare their food. Each dish had a meaningful story and was delicious no less. We loved how the food wasn’t overly sweet and salty, and we got to taste the different herbs and flavors mainly as they are. It was also a lot of food for what we paid, and we left feeling very full, both with food and knowledge of the culture! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat and live like a local for the night. 😊
It was a great experience! The tour guides speaks English very well and she shared many information with us. And many foods! All of us are full :) It was very tasty and interesting. We have often tried the traditional dishes that are now only served by just one family. Even the owner of the site came to see us in person at the end of the tour and thanked us. Clear recommendation!
This was a brilliant tour! I am lactose intolerant and she was very accommodating. We had such a vast array of food. I would highly recommend.
Great experience. Excellent way to learn about local culture and see the area in a different way. Finished feeling very full from all the delicious flavours we got to have during the tour. Our local guide Quin was 10/10 couldn’t recommend more.

Best food tour in Hoi An! The tour guide was so nice, she took us to the most amazing locations in Hoi An! Most normal tourists would just walk past these locations but now they’re a must eat location! Most noticeable location was the Black Sesame soup shop, amazing food & so rich with local history!
