Great day out. Good fun and the chef, Hon, was brilliant. Very much recommend doing this tour with both friends and family!
This cooking class is definitely worth attending in Hoi An. We cooked 5 delicious dishes from scratch and everyone in the group is fully involved in the process. Our teacher was really entertaining and had great English. They were super accommodating for dietary requirement eg vegetarian / gluten free that were in our group. There was no time pressure to leave after we had finished cooking and we were able to enjoy our meal and chat as a group. The girls were great for taking photos of everything too. It was a brilliant experience and one of the highlights of our time in Hoi An. We opted in for collect and drop off from our hotel which was super convenient and good value too.
Well organized and fun tour. The coconut boats were a little bit gimmicky but the food we made and the cooking experience was great. Would recommend for others.
Great day, great tour and lots of fun. We were taken to a market out of Hoi An and shown around and picked up groceries for lunch. We then headed to the bamboo boats and that was an hilarious fun experience. Then on to the cooking class, again lots of fun and what a great lunch we had. The guide Ha was absolutely fantastic and very caring and professional. Must do 10 out of 10 experience. Thankyou.
Took the whole family 13 year old to 2 year old. The two year old didn’t enjoy it but the class was very accommodating. He watched a show most of the time, but he loved the fishing boat part and walking the market. My six year old actually really enjoyed the cooking portion. He particularly enjoyed flipping the pancake. My wife and i enjoyed it too. The spring rolls may be the best we’ve ever eaten. They had a special patterned rice wrap that is only in Vietnam—very good. I also enjoyed the cooking flame they ignited in my pan. I’d do it again.
Hoi Ann in Vietnam is a must visit place. The land of lantern's would be the perfect name for this place. I visited in the evening when the entire place was lighted with lanterns of different shapes and colours. The trees, the river, the boats all so beautifully decorated with these awesome lanterns lighting mind heart and soul. A wish fulfilling lanterns are sold everywhere which is to be softly floated in the river asking for such peace and light descend in our hearts. I would suggest visitors to stay in Hoi Ann for a day or two as it would really be worth it. Lot of good hotels and lovely Indian food is available here.
It was a great lesson, had a lot of fun, can't wait to test my new cooking skills as soon as I get back home
What a fabulous fun session we had. Everything about this activity was so well organised. Ha our guide and chef was good fun and spoke very good English. The group size was perfect (8) Activities included market visit, refreshments, coconut boat ride plus the cookery lesson. A wide range of ingredients and dishes made some simple others more complex. Overall a great day out
Nhung was a great guide through the markets keeping the content light hearted while also informational and interesting to the attendees! She made very funny jokes and made a point to remember everyone's name! The food was superb and getting the recipe sheet was a bonus! Me and my friends loved the experience
So much fun. We loved our guide Huang. She was hilarious. The food we made was delicious and tasted authentic. We even made our own rice milk to make banh xeo.
It was so much fun learning to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes! If you’re looking for a cooking tour, this is the one.
This was one of the best ways to spend the afternoon and evening in Hoi An. We enjoyed the bamboo basket boat experience and loved the cooking class. The cooking class was so much fun and the food tasted fantastic!
Anna was awesome! Come hungry, cooking class was fun and interactive with Anna helping us get all the techniques just right! Getting the ride into the “jungle” was also fun and great photo opportunities!
We really enjoyed the boat. Everything was pleasant and peaceful. The boat man understoodcwe dont like the strong music and took us to a more quire location
What a great way to spend an afternoon! A trip to the market to pick up some local ingredients, some crab fishing in a basket and then on to cook up a feast. Mr Cu who runs the show is the man. Great sense of humour and a beautiful family. The star of the show is head chef One - incorrect spelling sorry! She is an excellent teacher, very patient but you better pay attention, she has high standards!
Perfect in every way, the food was a close and personal insight to how traditional food is cook and it tasted like nothing else
We absolutely loved our tour booked with Ms Hanh. We did the morning tour & started with walking through the produce market, which was VERY interesting and eye opening at times, We then went to the basket boats and even though it was raining (they provided plastic jackets and hats) we had an awesome time. Two passengers per boat & a driver. The drivers were friendly and some very funny. Some boats had music and the driver would sing away while we went down the river, We weren’t luck to catch any crabs, but we absolutely love this part of the tour. Onto the cooking class with Ms Hanh which was awesome. We all took turns helping with each dish and then would sit to eat before moving to the next dish. Fresh Vietnamese rolls, fried spring rolls, pancakes & Pho soup. Ms Hanh and her team were lovely, friendly & very helpful. We would highly recommend!!
We took this tour with 2 adults, a 6yo and a 9yo. It was the highlight of our trip. We had a fun walk through the local markets and a lively coconut boat ride where my son caught 6 coconut crabs. Our cooking class was hands-on and we made all the dishes seen in the picture. Our guide was funny and attentive. We definitely recommend this tour!
It was just the funniest and best experience of viatnam so far! The people are super friendly and make me laugh all the time. Also the knowledge about the local food and live was super impressing! I can highly recommend to do this tour!
We all really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was both entertaining and informative. Visiting the markets and trying new fruit was an unexpected highlight as well enjoying the company of the other members of the tour group. I’d highly recommend this tour.
Great tour, we got picked up from our hotel and went to the local markets to see what we’d be cooking later on. The boats were very fun and the cooking class was delicious and the guide and her staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend if you want a fun and informative day out!
The whole experience was fantastic even if it wasn't quite what we were expecting: we didn't get to do the shopping for the ingredients in the description but, the boat ride with a local paddling was a lovely experience. The cooking afterwards was amazing...the food was delicious and they were very happy to accommodate dietary needs. Very friendly chef, and his wife, treated us to fresh ingredients and a great introduction to Vietnamese cooking.
We loved the cooking class. Han was a perfect guide and gave us lots of information about the Vietnamese cuisine and typical ingredients you can get at the market. We had lots of fun and learned a lot! :)
A+, the best cooking class highly recommended 👌🏾. Nhung is very professional, friendly and entertaining. The food is great quality and very tasty.
Booked and payed for tour. The night before they canceled the tour. The excuse was, we no longer offer this tour. Why is it still advertised?
Really enjoyable morning, we visited the local market to collect ingredients. We then went on the coconut boats through the mangroves and watched the guide fish for crabs. We then returned for the main event and cooked some traditional Vietnamese dishes which were amazing. Thoroughly recommend
It was super fun and we learned a lot! They were also really flexible and easy to communicate with :)
I am so glad I booked this! Really nice sized class of 10 people, cooking in pairs, so I was paired with the other solo in the group and got along with her great! The market tour was interesting and not too long. The whole experience is very thought out and works like a well-oiled machine. The bamboo boats were absolutely hilarious and the crab fishing on the way back was a fun little addition. I was initially cautious of all the added extras to the cooking class tour but they all exceeded my expectations and the class itself was interesting, informative and delicious!!
Ha was fun and very informative, the food was all delicious and she gave us the recipe to take home! The basket boats were great and the fishermen and women were very fun and enthusiastic
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We got to try lots of fruits and foods I'd never heard of in the market like a local thanks to our tour guide. He explained in very good English what each of them were and made us feel very welcome and safe in the markets. We then went to a serene bit of river to do some fishing with some locals. The fishermen were so much fun and we were laughing the entire time. Afterwards we had a cooking tour hosted at the hosts house with his relative. She showed us traditional cooking methods and got us all joining in. We managed to make a flavourful banquet under guidance. The whole experience was great from start to finish and I would recommend!
What a really great experience this was. From start to finish it was such good fun and really informative also. The staff are fabulous and make sure you all have a great time. Can’t explain how much I loved it. Also can’t wait to go home and show of the recipes we made. Thank you
This experience was the highlight of my trip to Vietnam, I would highly recommend it. It was heaps and heaps of fun. Our guide Nhung was so, so funny! Like - hilarious. The market tour was a great chilled start and actually really informative. Nhung bought ingredients that we directly used in the cooking class later on. The boat rides were a fun interlude. While my boat was unsuccessful in catching crabs it was still a good time. And the cooking class was the absolute best. We all got involved, learnt a bunch of different techniques, and had heaps and heaps of fun in doing so. Everyone working there was so nice. And there was so much food to eat at the end. They also dealt really well with a couple of food allergies in my group, and with my Dad who is a bit older and can't get around so easy any more.
What a fun way to spend an afternoon. Our host was great and the food was fabulous. The basket boat ride was also very entertaining.
An excellent afternoon’s excursion where we had a fantastic host, Yến (apologies if I’ve spelled that incorrectly!), who was constantly keeping us entertained and informed with facts and knowledge. We started with the food market, learning new fruits / veg, home remedies they can be used for and tasting them too. We then went and had a lovely banana boat ride, caught some crabs at the side of the river, and went on to the family cooking class. We made everything from scratch in a group, including rice milk, spring rolls, papaya salad & chicken - it was all delicious! Then they gave us the recipes to take home - and we can’t wait to try cooking them ourselves! FYI you will finish up around 7/8 PM. Highly recommend to all!
We had so much fun on this trip I am so glad we chose this one! Quan our lady who ran the tour was really funny, discussed a lot of interesting facts about the Vietnamese cuisine and I couldn’t reccomend her enough! Aside from it being really fun the food was also delicious
This was the best tour we have been on. Bhu was a great chef and was patient will all of us. The food we cooked was outstanding and everyone in our group had a great time. We are very excited to try some of her recipes when we get home.
This was so much fun! So happy we did it!!! We enjoyed the market visit the boats and the cooking class. If you’re thinking of doing a cooking class this is definitely the one to do!
The market tour went quickly and I enjoyed learning about which foods are good for what (wish I wrote down what I learned!). The boat ride was nice during the late afternoon and our rower was a very sweet and funny lady. The cooking class was so fun thanks to our instructor, Wan(?). You could tell she loves what she does and her engagement/jokes made it a memorable experience for our first visit to Vietnam. Thanks Wan and the rest of the team who helped with prep and taking photos for everyone!
We had a lovely mixed group of international travellers. Nice walk around the market, with fruit tasting, then hilarious ride in basket boats with super charming, somewhat elderly local fishermen. Good facilities at the cooking school, we learned lots of dishes and techniques, and enjoyed a feast. Our tutor/guide was funny and charming. The whole experience was a great pleasure
Really great, our tour guide was lovely and the cooking class was so much fun! I loved that the tour guide spent time to show us all the different fruits, really sweet!
A unique experience in a small group and getting to know everyday Vietnamese grocery shopping, cooking and cuisine, plus a fun boat tour and many laughs throughout the day all run by a lovely family.
Thank you for the cooking class ! The food was delicious and Hai was kind and funny ! Thank you for adjusting the menu for vegetarians people
Good choice of food, entertaining fun teacher. The team were so lovely and helpful, with beautiful scenes outside of the class. Highly Recommend!
Tour guide was easy to communicate pick up with. Market was my favorite part, would be nice to get info on coconut forest before hoping in the boats. Cooking facility was great and clean and food was fun and delicious and portions big. Some of the explanations and stories get long winded and the selfie taking gets a bit much so you will be eating as late as 7pm, back in town around 8pm so plan accordingly and eat a late lunch before. We were all starving by the time first course was done.
Trang was really energetic, great food, really fun experience. Bring a raincoat and jumper, can get chilly.
Great Experience, we got soo much food. Everything tasted amazing. The guides & the family was super cute & tried to change dishes if someone did not want to eat something. Really really recommended & they try are creating jobs for disabled ppl! :)
We had a great time with One, she was very entertaining and an excellent guide for the cooking class, as well as the market tour. It was raining too heavily for the basket boats but we were still given vouchers to go back the next day when the weather cleared. All the food was delicious and tons of fun to cook.
Really great! The team were great, especially our main guide Nhung. We made lots of lovely dishes and the team took great photos/videos of everyone on the course. We made a lot of food and had an amazing time. 100% would recommend!
Amazing experience. Loads of fun making the food and shared plenty of laughs with our guide! Lovely way to spend morning
