Very friendly family. Bicycle tour through the Rice paddies an veg village was pleasant. Boat tour was very touristic. Nice private explanation of the Rice prep process followed by a lovely meal where we had an interactive expirience.
We had a very interesting day with Thuan, visiting the organic farm and trying some traditional farming techniques with Len. We enjoyed the scenic bike ride through the paddy fields and the coconut boat fishing experience. Our favourite part though was cooking pancakes and eating a delicious lunch at the farmer’s house. Thank you Thuan for expertly guiding us today. We appreciated the great care you took of us!
Beautiful bike ride from the hotel to the vegetables farm. A sweet lady (81 years old) showed us how to garden with a big smile. We went on to the boat ride which was somewhat touristic but fun to do. Afterwards we went eating/cooking at a family’s home in which we were warmly welcomed and where we had great food. Highly recommend it, people in hoian are even more friendly than in the rest of Vietnam we have seen until now. Allan
Our tour was well thought, perfect for my son who is 5 and for me. Hoang was incredibly gentle and engaging. Food was delicious We loved everything about it Wished we knew about it before and would done more tours with him!
This is the best package ever ! You get everything : fresh air, exercise, a ride on the coconut boats and lastly experience the daily life of Hoi An villagers. The visit to the home of a local, where he warmly welcomed us, was the highlight of our trip. We participated in the milling, sifting, polishing, grinding of the rice, to yield rice water for making banh xeo - truly farm to table experience! side note : our host Hanh was full of energy and so were the coconut boat drivers, farmers and home host. These are the lovely people who make up Hoi An!
One of the better trips. A good mix of bike, visits, boat trip, home cooking where Mr Hoang is punctual and knowledgeable. Fun and interesting
Hoang was a fantastic host and accommodated for all the needs of the family including taking our 8 year old on his moped instead of biking. He explained the rice growing and preparing process beautifully and was patient with the children. We had a go at farming at the vegetable garden and the interaction and being able to have a go ensured the children remain engaged and were able to have a good time. This is a really great way to understand more about Hoi An and the villages and agriculture there. Thankyou Hoang for the cooking class, the lovely food prepared by his family and answering all our questions and taking lots of photos, we truly appreciate it.
We had the most incredible time visiting the farm, planting veggies, cycling through town and then having a delicious lunch prepared by Mr. Hoang’s wife. Our kids got to make some appetizers with her and the meal was excellent. They learned how to harvest rice and the painstaking process it used to take. Excellent cultural experience!
Great experience from start to finish! Really enjoyed every aspect of the tour, it was informative and the lunch we had was delicious. By far my favourite thing I have done in Hoi An so far ❤️ The demonstration of how rice was processed was particularly fascinating and it was fun to lend a hand!
While it was a rainy day in Hoi A for our tour, it was still a memorable experience. In fact, it was even more of an adventure cycling through the streets of Hoi An and then into the surrounding countryside in the rain. We enjoyed learning about farming techniques and then had a fun basket boat ride. We ended at Mr Hoang’s house where he and his wife treated us to a wonderful traditional central Vietnamese lunch of rice milk pancakes, passion fruit chicken and steamed rice straight from their own garden. Great day with great hosts! We would all highly recommend.
We had a very good experience! We learn a lot and we were warmly received. I recommend this trip, we had a good day.
My family and I really enjoyed all the activities. Very dynamic, fun and people are very friendly and nice. Our local guide Sinh was super nice and explained everything to us.
This tour was fantastic and so full of variety, our guide Thien was amazing and helped make the day! I would highly recommend this to everyone
This was the best day we had in Hoi An. Vegetable village was fun, the kids loved it, with the basket boat on the water was very nice. We learned a lot about the life on the countryside in Vietnam en learned how to cook springrolls with ricepaper. The buffola riding was not on the programm anymore but our guide made this possible.
What a wonderful tour with a real taste for the beautiful culture. Our tour guide Tai was so informative and absolutely brilliant. The farming experience was fantastic and we had the most amazing lunch and learnt about how to make rice at a local family’s house . We got to cook our own rice pancakes and then had them with part of our lunch . You must do this tour if visiting hoian .
Amazing, Tai was fantastic, the gardens and food were clean and outstanding, so was lunch, very friendly family. Highly recommended.
Great tour! We had a wonderful time. The guide was very nice and gave us a lot of information. Nice scenery. Great food. Hostess was also so friendly and nice. We had the most delicious lunch. Part of the lunch we cooked ourselves. The kids also enjoyed the tour a lot.
A great and unique experience in the countryside of Hoi An. It's a great hands-on experience for families with children to learn about agriculture. Not only do you get to see how local farmers work on the fields, but you'll get to experience it first hand. Next, you'll get to visit Mr. Hoang's home and learn about the process of harvesting rice, and enjoy a cooking lesson coached by Mrs. Hoang on how to cook a traditional Vietnamese dish called "Banh Xeo"
This is one of the most enjoyable activities for our 7 year old daughter. We all were very interested in the agricultural history and activities simulating cultivating some crops. Our guide Mr. Hoang was excellent explaining each aspect of the life before and after the touristic boom 25-30 years ago. In his house, we learn how to pick, clean, polish and mill the rice to prepare after some delicious rice cakes with him and his family. This is so far one of the best tour we've had in Vietnam.
I highly recommend Mr. Hoang! He’s very nice, jolly, warm, informative, can speak English very well, and not the typical tour guide. He made me feel like a real local, very hands on. I was able to experience how the farmers take care of their crops, how rice are being harvested, and how paper rice is produce. Home cooked lunch was very good too! Keep it up & all the best to you & your family.:)
We had the most amazing tour with Mr Hoang!!! We learned so much about the culture and traditional ways of the Vietnamese people. Mr Hoang was extremely informative and answered all our questions. We had the hands on experience of gardening and planting rice, harvesting the rice, and fishing. Then we played with some water buffalo on the way back to Mr Hoang’s home where he and his wife made us the BEST MEAL EVER!!! We even got to make Vietnamese pancakes ourself. It was such a personal one on one tour and we truly appreciated learning and spending our day with Mr Hoang and his family. Amazing tour and fantastic people!! A must do if your in Hoi An!!!!!
We had so much fun with this tour. We learned so much and had hands-on experiences with gardening, making sesame rice crackers, and traditional-process of getting rice grains. Our tour guide, Cuong, was friendly and took us on a safe and nice bike tour, and he gave us multiple opportunities for picture taking. He knew that I had stomach problem and arranged for hot ginger tea when I arrived at Ms Hoang’s house. We learned how to make vietnamese savory crepes at Ms Hoang’s house and got to enjoy her delicious home-cooked and organic dishes for lunch. Her cooking was exceptional. She was so kind and gave me extra ginger to make tea when I get back to the hotel. We highly recommend this tour.
Absolutely fantastic Countryside Tour with Hoang who is the owner of HOI AN ECO TOURISM - He was an incredible guide - so informative and funny. we got to cycle through the rice fields, meet with local farmers at the vegetable village, rode in the basket boats and have a meal at Mr Hoang’ family that was possibly the best we had in vietnam… such a great way to get out of the town and really explore. Don’t miss the chance to do this trip in Hoi An!!!
Hoang gave us A wonderful experience: learning about the proces of ploughing with the Buffalo, planting, harvesting and production of rice. The kids rode the Buffalo Xe, which means tractor! Afterwards we had A cooking workshop. Was truly amazing. Huong is a great guide, his English excellent and welcomed us to his house. Highly recommended.
Mr. Hoang was such an incredible host. He was kind and patient. Eager to tell us about his family. We loved his explanations of how rice is brought from farm to table. We got to see the entire process first hand and we learned so much. The rice pancakes he and his wife made for us were FANTASTIC. One of my favorite meals of the trip. It was a relaxing experience and he even accommodated our two young children (ages 4 and 2). Thank you mister Hoang. I hope to see you someday again!
This was a great way to begin to understand the history of Hoi An and to also experience some of the traditional agricultural methods for harvesting and refining rice and for growing vegetables. Also includes a great cookery demonstration and lovely full lunch with many dishes to try at the Tra Qué Vegetable Village restaurant. Hoang is a great guide, extremely well informed about the history and culture of the area, and also very considerate and kind in looking after his guests. Highly recommended!
Mr Hoang was most friendly and patient in bringing us through an authentic farming experience which included the traditional field plowing with a water buffalo and explaining to us how rice grains are processed and cooked. We were also treated to a gastronomical experience as he and his family whipped up a scrumptious meal of rice pancakes and Vietnamese fried spring rolls for dinner. What a delight indeed!
From the moment I contacted Mr Hoang to book a tour he was super helpful. There was a group of us that went on the rice farming experience that included a bike ride through farmland, explanation and opportunity to experience farm life, and a fun cooking class with an absolutely delicious and generous meal to finish. None of us will look at a bowl of rice the same way again and will very much appreciate every mouthful! I would highly recommend Mr Hoang and his lovely family and intend to use his company again. Thank You!
Top voormiddag, zeer leuk onthaal en prima begeleiding door Hoang en zijn familie?
Pleasant guide, good command of English, very accessible and friendly! The cooking workshop is definitely recommended, nice family, provided a home feeling and tasty dishes...
We went on this tour with already high expectations, but reality exceeded all expectations. Our guide was simply impeccable: prepared, attentive, with an infectious enthusiasm and a deep knowledge of culture and territory. She did not just explain, but made us live every stage of the journey, involving us with stories, curiosities and moments of true sharing. The most special part was definitely the Welcoming by the locals who hosted us at their home. They welcomed us with a disarming kindness, made us feel part of their family and allowed us to really get in touch with the spirit of the place. We ate together (delicious) home-cooked meals, shared chats, smiles, and even a few words in their own language. A profound, human, authentic experience. The kind of trip that leaves something inside you. Highly recommended to those looking for real contact with people, not just a sightseeing.
“Farm & Fishing Tour in Hoi An. My wife and I received an escort from our guide Mr Huang. First we went to visit local farmers to see how they grew vegetables and rice. This was followed by an excursion with the local fishermen. These were one of the highlights of our 12-day stay in Vietnam. What struck us most was the expertise, and the helpfulness of the amiable Huang. We highly recommend him and this excursion to him. Rudy & Nancy Coppens/Van Thienen uit Belgie
Great tour, by bike between rice fields, you feel like one with nature. Fantastic! With the passionate explanation of Mr. Hoang you get the history and insights into the farming methods. After the great ride he received us at his house and we got an explanation about the entire production process of rice and then baked rice pancakes with his wife and enjoyed lunch together! Mr. & Mrs. Hoang are great and we can absolutely recommend this to you.
The experience was incredible! Very authentic and pleasant! The food in the end was divine and fun! It was raining that day and they made all the adaptations so that nothing was lost!
A perfect day. They are very friendly and give you many explanations. The bike ride is easy. The boats are very curious. You see and learn many interesting things. Thank you.
We have gone for a bike ride and we have grown spinach explaining ourselves and doing it ourselves, we have also tried fishing with different types of nets but on this occasion there has been no luck. We have also been in a family home learning how to process rice and doing a cooking workshop that was all very delicious. It's still great!
It has been a very personal tour, without tourism (except the baskets), but everything has been great. Planting vegetables, riding a bike, fishing for crabs and the cooking class and eating what is cooked. The family and our guide were very hospitable and friendly. We have been very comfortable. It is a pleasure to do activities like this with people like this.
Excellent experience. Getting to know people up close and how they live is worth it. The delicious food. We have very good memories.
A really interesting and fun experience. We had a couple of parents and an adult daughter in the family home. We learned about the traditional processes of rice processing. We sat in a round bamboo boat between water coconut trees... the hosts are charming and pleasant. Highly recommended
What a great tour! Together with Huang we saw how rice is planted and then also how it is grown! We got to work on the land ourselves and then went to his house to see how rice pancakes are made! We got a big lunch afterwards! Delicious and highly recommended!
