Lots of fun, our chef made the experience enjoyable with humour and kept the kids involved. Food was delicious and a great experience

We had a wonderful evening learning to cook Vietnamese specialties with My. It was just our small group in the class. She was very attentive and explained everything well. We had a nice evening and a wonderful dinner.
“It was a great experience—wonderful to learn how to cook and then enjoy such a delicious spread. Recipes were provided too, so you can recreate everything back home.”
We booked this cooking class as we understood that’s one of the things you can do to experience Hoi A culture. The cooking class we got was not similar to the pictures we saw in the review (at all). It was a nice lady who thought / guided us through a menu which was fun, but this was thought out of her home with her family around. She also seemed to have a cold, but eventually out on a mask which we appreciated. We understand that we were the only two people who booked the class that evening, so perhaps some modifications was made with regards to that.
I had an amazing time at this cooking class! The entire experience was not only incredibly informative but also really fun. The instructors were warm, energetic, and great at explaining each step, making it easy to follow along even for beginners. I loved learning about Vietnamese ingredients and cooking techniques, and the dishes we made were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, full of laughter, and made the whole class truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Vietnam—it was one of the highlights of my trip!
Great food great vibe Love chef Jennifer!!!!!!!!! Boat ride was fun Market was a sick experience got to cook and eat great local food
Very informative, our cooking instructor Ha was very entertaining and made the event one to remember. We also got to eat the fruits of our labour that turned out to be a very enjoyable meal.
My hotel kindly arranged a cookery class at short notice and I had such an enjoyable time. I was driven to and from the venue and received a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. There were 8 in the group and we had our own work stations. All the ingredients were set up for us and we were expertly guided through each stage of the cooking process. I highly recommend doing this activity with Cam Thanh Family Tours.
We had such a lovely time at Mai’s cooking class in Hoi An. I wasn’t feeling well on our original booking date, and Mai was incredibly kind and flexible in allowing us to reschedule – something we were so grateful for. The class itself is set in a delightful and peaceful location, in Mai's home, which added to the charm of the whole experience. Mai is a fantastic teacher – kind, patient, and genuinely funny. She guided us through each step with warmth and encouragement, helping us cook up an absolute feast! It was not only delicious but such fun too – one of the real highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!
Went shopping through the market to see all the ingredients, then came back to cook. Everything was well explained and delicious, they can adapt all the meals for veggie/allergies/vegan etc too! They gave us the recipes so I can't wait to recreate them back home!
This was one of my favourite experiences in Hoi An. A family run business with so much passion for their traditional culture and amazing food. Our chef spoke great English and made the whole experience interesting and fun. Would definitely recommend!!
We totally loved our cooking lesson with Mai. We learnt a lot about cooking Vietnamese food and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Mai and spending time cooking with her. We would certainly recommend this activity.
We had such a great time - great value for money, delicious food (one of our favourite meals of our entire trip) and our hosts were so friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend!
A really fun experience in Hoi An. We went as a family ( apart from Dad!) and everyone really enjoyed it plus the food we cooked was delicious. Our chef was awesome with instructions and very entertaining.
V was amazing. We went to a local market for ingredients for our cooking class. and then a coconut boat ride. What an experience. Thank you
Giang, our chef, did an excellent job engaging and making the experience exciting for our young children ages 7 through 13. It’s a fun, hands on experience using new cooking techniques that we don’t usually see in America. The final product we enjoy tasted amazing. Highly recommend for adults and families alike.
We had the best time in the cooking class with Bích! All the dishes we made were so delicious and she made it such an enjoyable experience by being very clear with instructions for those cooking vegetarian meals, like myself. Would definitely recommend when visiting Hoi An
Food was great and Jennifer was very nice and patient! - we made 4 dishes with good instructions and some local tips and really enjoyed it
Jennifer led us in the market, showing us the different specialties - fruits and fishes mainly - and then after the coconut boat we had the chance to experience with her the making of a 4 meal course. Highly recommended if you spend some time in Hoi An
Nhung was amazing!!! We had the best time. Would highly recommend! So much food so defiently come with an empty stomach!!
The cooking class was a fun and interactive experience. Our host was extremely knowledgeable, funny and helpful. Great value for money! We cooked heaps of food. I would recommend going there on an empty stomach. We’ve now got a delicious list of go to Vietnamese recipes!
This is a great experience and so much food. Great hosts and a lot of fun. The staff are very friendly and there is a lot of interaction. Highly recommend it.
Mr Cu the owner is very humoristic, and tells a lot about the origins of the vietnames kitchen. He and this family have been cooking for years and years and you really can taste the heritage. You feel very welcome and much attention is die voted to the ingredients and the food we prepared each of us ourselves. We had a very pleasant experience. Really worth to take this course.
Fantastic experience. We made a variety of dishes. The quantities were generous. The instructors were superb and made it very fun. The place is clean, well organised and in a quiet location. We went with children age 9 and 11 who loved it. Highly recommend.
We did the cooking class with An and Tam and a Bamboo boat tour with Hui. It was an great experience and delicious local food. I would recommend it.
Me and my daughter loved our cooking class with Ms Nhung at their home in the countryside of Hoi An. Ms Nhung had a fantastic sense of fun as she guided us through a culinary journey of Vietnamese cooking where we made several delicious traditional dishes. It was a real feast and they also catered for my vegetarian dietary requirements without any issues. Ms Nhung and her equally funny husband, Mr Cu, talked about how the money they earn through their cooking and tour business enables them to employ local people who live with disabilities, inspired by their eldest son who lives with Cerebral Palsy. This added another dimension to this wonderful experience as the cost you pay for the class assists a great cause. I’d highly recommend this cooking class as an authentic Vietnamese experience in every way and the food was just gorgeous. Thank you Nhung and Mr Cu for a perfect 😉time !
Had a really nice and entertaining afternoon with Nhung (and occasionally her husband, who helped out with filming and cooking). I would definitely recommend booking this class, you’ll learn some new Vietnamese recipes and end up with a big smile and a full belly at the end. I’ll definitely try these recipes at home :)
The cooking class was fantastic - delicious spring rolls, pancakes, papaya salad and clay pot fish with garlic & chili. Fresh, beautiful ingredients cooked in the open kitchen. Great fun teacher :)) lunch was sublime
It was very informative and interesting but calling it a cooking class is a small lie. We chopped one vegetable and the chef did the rest. Food was very good but didn’t do much actual cooking
Absolutely loved this cooking class! So much fun, very hands on and learnt some delish recipes to try out at home. Would most definitely recommend!
Soo god!! really enjoyed the class and the food. Also the coconut boat was very fun, and our teacher was just a very good and funny teacher.
Had the best time at tho cooking class!! We were in a small group which helped it feel more intimate, and the host was so lovely.
The experience were not only good it was AWESOMELY EXCELLENT! A smiling chef with humor just as great as his cooking skills! We were a kitchen team of 5 friends who had a wonderful time and are looking foward to cooking the dishes at home :-)
Had an Amazing time at the cooking class led by Jennifer who was very friendly and taught us 4 delicious meals! She took us to the market in the morning and showed the ingredients that we would be using which made the experience more authentic. She helped us individually and didn’t leave anyone behind. We then had the chance to create a big fire with the pan which was pretty fun and exciting! Would definitely recommend this tour and shoutout to Jennifer for making our time well worthwhile!
I tried the cooking class with my mom and we had a great time! Our chef Flower was very good and took the time to explain every step. The food was excellent! Be ready to eat a lot!! I really recommend this company to try a cooking class. I am looking forward to make these recipes again back home!
My boyfriend and I had the best time ever at this cooking class. Yen, our group teacher was HILARIOUS! She knows how to connect and engage with a wide range of people, and made the experience fantastic. I would recommend to anyone coming to Hoi An. We made a variety of foods, that were all delicious. Yen truly is a fantastic person though, and was very welcoming into her home, where we also got to meet her sister (who was equally funny!) and her children! Yen - thank you for the experience, we will be recommending to all of our friends, and will come back if we ever return to Vietnam :)
We did the cooking class with Jennifer. We first met in the markets where Jennifer walked us through buying the food which we would cook with later, explaining what each item was and allowing us to try them. The food was delicious and with Jennifer’s help they were very easy to prepare.
Was an amazing experience! The boat ride was very fun and the cooking class was great. The food was very tasty thanks to Jennifer’s instructions!
The whole experience was so fun and the food was amazing. The staff were also all very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
This tour was the highlight of my time in Hoi An. Jennifer made our time so much fun and was amazing throughout, she taught us how to make the most delicious spring rolls and stir fry. I would recommend this to everyone and if you are lucky to get Jenny give her the love she deserves!!
It was amazing!!! Jennifer was the best! She explained everything was super kind and funny. We had a great time! At first we went to the marker where Jennifer explained what she will buy and than we all cooked a super super tasty dish together. You should all go it.
Cooking with Jennifer. We made 3 dishes plus pancake. I was skeptical at first finding the ingredients being very simple but every single dish turned out great. The visit to the market to find the ingredients was also quite interesting. The flaming pan show at the end if the cooking session was insightful albeit wild. It had taught me not to throw water into hot oil. An important life lesson I guess.
This was a great day! Had a chance to visit the local market in the morning and learn more about the different herbs, fruits, and meat and fish used in Vietnamese cooking. Enjoyed the basket boat trip (although the scenic part through the palms is a much shorter stretch than expected) and learning how the local fish for crabs. The cookery class was the highlight of the day. We were very impressed how our teacher managed to coordinate all 10 of us to make such tasty food! We made Vietnamese spring rolls, chicken and papaya salad, claypot fish, and banh xeo. They also provided us with clams and fresh fruit. Everything was really delicious and we were so stuffed by the end. A very fun day!
Just one word: Jennifer! Don’t expect a high class kitchen course (I’m Italian so I know how to deal with the basic kitchen rules), go there and have funnnn! Jenny is super, friendly and she makes a lot of jokes in order to keep up the energy of the course. You will meet a lot of people, learn how to prepare some basic Vietnamese dishes and have a lovely afternoon with J.
We had an amazing time. We learned a lot and cooled amazing dishes. They also had individual options for vegetarians that was great. We also enjoyed our food after cooking and got the recipes to take home🫶🏻
A must do in hoi an with great experiences along the way. Also a great way to meet new people as you all eat your own cooking together
Quick tour of local market and trying fruit, before bamboo boats with crab fishing where they claw onto bait and you put them in a bucket (released after - wholesome) before being taken to the cooking class. A group of about 10-12. We cooked fried spring rolls with shrimp and pork, fish clay pot curry, rice pancake and papaya salad with chicken. I can’t eat nuts and my girlfriend can’t eat gluten - they easily accommodated with no stress. The only change for gluten was using rice paper for spring rolls and was absolutely perfect. Recipes sent after by WhatsApp on request :) Thanks so much!!
This is an excellent introduction to Vietnamese food and cooking by a great host. We visited the markets where he explained the various meats and vegetables he was buying. Back at their school the set up is great - plenty of space and the equipment is all good. Tuan carefully explained and demoed the various meals we cooked and then we had a turn under his watchful eye. The result was a wonderful meal. Definitely a good tour to go on to get to know more about Vietnam and widen your cooking skills.
I loved this tour! There were so many things included - walking around the market, a boat ride with crab fishing (which we released after catching), and cooking. Lots of fun!
I really enjoyed the day. I learnt a lot from chef when we were at the market and the boat ride was fun. I will try the recipes again when I am home, hope they turn out as well!
