Emma our guide was very pleasant and very informative throughout the tour. We ate some very delicious local food and the Bahn Mi was especially delicious.

Itinerary
If you’re adventurous with food and enjoy exploring local cuisine, then this is a tour you’ll probably want to do. Hoi An city and food tour focuses on the unique local breakfast street food of Hoi An and some of the typical architecture styles in Hoi An. Your trail includes a leisurely stroll around Hoi An old town, passing by cultural attractions like iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, handicraft making, a journey to the Hoi An Center market, some hidden food treasures favored by locals and a foot massage at the end. This is great way to spend your very first days in Hoi An. You'll find out more on this single tour than in a month of random wandering Enough food is served that most participants will not need lunch after the tour. Great way to try the local food Tour guide Emma was a lovely soul , her knowledge of the history of Hoi An was outstanding, she showed us where to buy our souvenirs , walked us through some amazing laneways , spent time to explain everything to us Emma was a proud Vietnamese woman.Cant thank her enough for an amazing experience
Good selection of foods to try
Great selection of food. Lantern boat ride was special
We attended as a couple, the group was five people and the tour lasted about 3hrs, which was a great amount of time. This tour certainly takes you off the beaten track, sampling food and visiting vendors we wouldn’t have gone ourselves. There were approx 12 dishes in total, from small snacks to delicious Bahn Mi. Emma our guide was knowledgeable about the city, food and the vendors and was extremely approachable. I would highly recommend this tour.
Best ever food tour with delightful English speaking guide, hear history, watch silk being made and see cultural dancers
😀 This is an absolute must. We were met by Kim at our hotel this morning at 8.30. We were taken to breakfast and introduced to Pho. OMG 😲 so good. Kim was so lovely and full of information and history. We were then treated to baguettes, yummo. Then Chloe's and and show, then coffee and a 200 year old house. Finally a foot massage. Brilliant!!! So not just food but a bit of everything. Kim was awesome.
Our family of three (two adults + one teenager) opted for the afternoon bike and bite tour. It was a great experience all around. We tend to avoid tours, as we like our own (often speedy) pace, but Kim kept us moving quickly from meal to meal. We enjoyed the biking (both city and countryside. A little harrowing at times but also lots of fun), the eating, the learning, and Kim’s company. Our advice is to skip breakfast and lunch beforehand, as there was more food than we could possibly eat, and we even opted to skip a stop. It is SO much food. This was our fourth visit to Hoi An, and we tasted dishes we’d never had before. Would highly recommend this tour!
This was thew most AMAZING way to start your time in beautiful HOI AN. Jackie our tour guide was wonderful, insightful, fun and so knowledgable about what makes Hoi Ann such a charming place to visit. The food selection that Jackie chose for us was PERFECT, FRESH and most of all AUTHENTIC ( She took us where the "locals" Eat.. If you are wanting to get familiar with Hoi Ann, gain some cultural knowledge and get your steps up, This is the Tour for you!!
Discover more of Hoi An! This felt like less of a food tour and more of a city tour; we hadn't eaten lunch so Ms.Thuy got us fed first, and then we explored the city. We definitely got to see more than if we had wandered about by ourselves, including some small museums and local artists. Ms. Thuy is knowledgeable and very interesting; she is clearly passionate about the city and the culture in Hoi An. Thank you very much.
Our lovely tour guide, Ms.Emma is very polite and helpful. We love the the ancient Hoi An city very much, the food and coffee are delicious. Thank you very much
We had a great tour with Tin Tin, she was very informative & took us on a great cultural tour around Old Town, as well as trying some traditional Vietnamese cuisine, she was personable & happily answered any questions we had! Would recommend!
The city is so amazingly beautiful, so quaint and pleasing, the night view in the Asian city with the lanterns and the lantern boat ride was to die for. just wanted to absorb the gorgeous view! The coconut village and boat ride was fun too! Would definitely love to visit again ! We were picked up on time from the hotel, Emma our guide was pleasant, patient and enthusiastic, it was so much fun !
Emma was a great host and a guide. Took us around the ancient town, lantern street and many other places.. Spectacular food and mouth watering dishes….exhilarating Day with her. Cheers!!
The food tour of Hoi An was amazing - the food was great and Jackie our guide was very informative. There was only two of us on this tour and Jackie kept us interested for the whole tour and we ate soooooo much. The best for me was the coffee and for my partner all the food and dont miss the black seasame soup….
Thuy is a very friendly tour guide and provides a lot of information about Hoi An City. It is a great experience we have in Hoi An
We booked this tour for our first morning in Hoi An. The 8am meet and start was a great way to begin our time in what is a wonderful area of Vietnam. The balance between food and the historic + cultural sites is close to perfect. So skip breakfast at the hotel and you’ll enjoy the food even more. This is a really well thought out tour, the food is delicious and you’ll eat where the locals eat, with full portions of 4/5 local favourites. We were lucky to have Jackie as our guide who was excellent, a truly passionate local who provided fantastic insights at each stop. Jackie is a real asset to this tour company as was by far the best guide we had during our trip. If you love coffee, this is the tour for you, the meeting point served the best coffee we sampled and even served Kopi Luwak, a must try for coffee lovers. I’d recommend the early start as the streets and landmarks are less crowded and you can see more and in a less chaotic way in the morning. The foot massage to end the trip is a great little touch and a nice rest before tackling the afternoon around Hoi An!
Jackie was the best kind of tour guide: super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share her culture and history with us (and her English was easy to understand for those who are wondering). In addition to food, we saw a performance at the local theatre and visited an historic home, a museum, and a pagoda. Jackie took the time to explain all kinds of details at each one, along with pointing out other sites in between. We ended the tour with a 30-minute foot massage, which was wonderful. Now let's talk about the food, which we ate at what seemed to be legitimately locals' spots and in the local market. We ate Pho, Banh Mi, and Cao Lau, plus stopped for delicious coffee. Jackie taught us how to eat everything, which is important since most Vietnamese food often comes disassembled and seems to have specific orders and processes involved for eating it. We love to do food tours whenever we travel, and on this trip we did this tour in Hoi An plus food tours in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Each tour was very different, so it is worth your time to do the same. I think the only crossover we had was Banh Mi, which was still a little different in each city. Finally, we did this tour in the rain, and even though my wife hates rain, the rain didn't ruin our enjoyment, so do not let rain stop you either! My wife, however, recommends wearing one of those long ponchos they sell everywhere and sandals you can walk in a lot that can also get wet.
Fletcher was a wonderful guide. He explained so much about the history and culture that make Hoi An unique. He led us to his favorite eateries that were often down narrow alleys that we would never have discovered. One additional plus - Fletcher's command of English is amazing.
We had Emma as our Tour Guide and she Was amazing! She picked us up at 8:30 sharp and showed us all the important Buildings in Hoi An. We had the Chance to ask her everything we wanted to know and she gave us a lot of insghts in to the vietnamese way of living. At the end of the Tour we went to a great local restaurant and tasted 4 different national dishes. I would absolutley recomend Emma and the Tour.
The guide speaks very fluent English and Mandarin. She was very friendly and considerate clearly came with a lot of experience. She is local from hoi an and took us to some very good food locations. Her motorcycle is very comfortable. She also had very good timing and always asking us about how we feel. I feel very lucky to have had an experience like this. You can also understand the true local culture from her. On top of this the food was mind blowing. Bear in mind I am Chinese so equipped to Asian cuisine taste. If you like Vietnamese food this is probably the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in my life.
Emma took us to historical sites and gave us a feeling for the town. The places to eat were great fun and all the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour, we were stuffed and happy at the end.
The tour and the food was amazing. Jackie was our friendly guide and we were lucky that we had a private tour on that day. Her English is very good and she gave us an authentic inside into the Vietnamese culture as she grew up in Hoi An. If you want to check out where and what the local people eat, book this tour!
This has been one of our best tours yet while in Vietnam. Emma is a local and she took us down charming alley ways for the best food and sites. She knew many of the vendors and was very helpful when we wanting to purchase souvenirs, she speaks excellent English.
I super love this tour and have noregret joining it. I was introduced to 7-8 dishes of their best Vietnamese food and drinks in their local eatery. Played their Vietnam Bingo and boat ride. Plus, the 20 mins foot massage. So worth it and not forgetting the best tour guide - Nancy! Chatty and out going!
We just finished our Evening Walking Food Tour and we had such a good time with Christine. She showed us a variety of local dishes and explained us how they were done and told us the ingredients. Her explanations were detailed and very interesting. We even got a vietnamese coffee and could enter a local house where an old and very lovely lady prepared fresh and yummy food. My wife and I have done many different food tours and found that Christine was one of the best guides so far. She made sure that we would be always safe while crossing the street, was very entertaining and was always aware of whether we needed anything. At the end Christine brought us to play bingo which was very funny and we did a 20 min boat ride. I higly recommend booking this tour. Thank you Christine for everything :)
We had a fun walking tour with Emma, who was passionate about showing us around town and sharing her stories. A highlight was the rooftop bar where we got to drink delicious Vietnamese coffee while taking in the quaint view of the town from above. The banh mi was super yummy and the traditional game was quite an experience. Will definitely recommend to others.
This was definitely the best food tour we had in Vietnam! 11 delicious dishes with a story behind them made it so appealing and fun! We also cycled out of hoi an to the nearby organic farm village and were introduced to all the herbs and vegetables used in the food we were eating! It was such a wonderful experience to ride through the paddy fields and eat the most delicious food the city has to offer! Special call out to our guide Emma who was wonderful! She made sure all the allergies were taken care of, which shops we should go to for the best products and the must see sights in the city! Thank you Emma for making this such a wonderful experience for us!
We had the best food tour with Vi (Nancy). She was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun! All of the food was AMAZING and off the beaten path. We could not pick a favorite as it was all terrific! Definitely highly recommend this tour and Vi as your guide!!!
Myself and my partner booked a walking + food tour of Hoi An city. We were picked up from our hotel early in the morning and then met up with our wonderful guide Emma. It just so happened that we were the only people so it became a 'private' tour instead! Emma's English was excellent and she is very knowledgeable about all history and stories of every landmark. We got to taste all the amazing food Hoi An has to offer and of course the amazing stories that come with them. Thank you Emma for showing us around.
Emma showed us all the hidden places where we were served delicious food. We went on the tour at 8am and loved it, as Hoi An was less busier than in the afternoon. Emma was able to answer all our questions and we also enjoyed the foot massage at the end of the tour :) definitely worth the money. Thanks to Emma!
We did the evening food tour by bike and it was absolutely fantastic. Our tour guide, Emma, taught us a lot about Vietnamese food. We stopped along the way at several places, most of them in local people's homes that you will never be able to find by yourself. The food is tasteful and all the info you get is very interesting. You cannot miss this while being in Hoi An!
We had a lovely tour with Emma our guide. She told us all about the old city and took us to a local coffee shop to taste some coffee and tea. Then we went to a family for black sesame pudding which was homemade and really tasty before going to the Ban Minh Queen shop for some Ban Minh. We finished the tour with a sunset boat ride. We would have liked more information on this boat ride as it was relaxing but would have been more interesting to hear more fun and interesting facts about the town.
We had a wonderful morning with Emma, she was very knowledgeable, very pleasant and very accommodating. We were not an easy group, a family with four kids 12wks to 12yrs, and Emma made sure everyone was happy the whole time. The food was delicious and the sights gorgeous. Would highly recommend this tour.
This was the full Hoi An experience. We ate amazing food with the locals. As a tourist it is sometimes hard to find authentic food for good prices but this tour did exactly that. My friend and I had a tour guide for just the two of us so we were able to get a personalized tour. Our guide took us to 4 different food locations and had an excellent tour of the city. Would 100000% do it again.
I'm writing my first ever TripAdvisor review for this experience. This tour was absolutely the highlight of my solo visit to Hoi An. All the advance communications were easy and quick. I showed up to find out I was the only one booked for the tour, so Emma (my wonderful tour guide) and I set off for a really enjoyable morning. Despite being just the two of us, we chatted away for almost 4 hours and she shared so much about life and food in Vietnam. This tour was perfect because we ate a bunch of great food while seeing some of the best stuff in Hoi An. And, the food was incredible. Every stop was perfect - and they were truly places I would have never found myself. And, the food massage at the end was a welcome end after walking the city all morning. Thanks, Emma! You were wonderful and I'll be sending all my friends who visit Hoi An your way.
A fantastic bike experience with local guide Jackie. We got a taste of many specialties from Hoi An, and a cozy bike trip out of town and visit local vegetable gardens. Jackie was a great guide on the trip. She told stories about the places we visited and was very welcoming and present. Definitely a recommendation to try this trip!
Nice trip around to different places with Vietnamese specialties🤗 out and see Hoi An's kitchen garden Super skilled guide, many thanks to Jackie
We had a really exciting day with our guide Jackie. We got to taste food of super good quality and got the stories behind it. Our guide understood how to arrange the trip based on our wishes. Nice to get around by bike and see other parts of Hoi an. Can only recommend this trip.
We chose the food tour from 3pm to 7pm based on Street food. Thanks to our guide Kim, we enjoyed it! The cuisine of Hoi An is incredible, not to be missed. This tour allowed us to taste in restaurants almost inaccessible to tourists for the most part and thus discover real Vietnamese food. The dishes were frankly delicious and our guide was adorable, very interesting and allowed us to learn a lot about the habits (culinaries and others) of the Vietnamese people. All done with respect for the people welcoming us in their restaurant (we learned some basics of viet language in order to be more polite). In short, four hours really well used, I highly recommend!
