Authentic. Insightful. DELICIOUS. We would have never tried these foods on our own! Bong was so warm and insightful, we felt so grateful to have had a private tour with her. Each food stop was a full experience, seeing how each food was authentically made, enjoying it on little plastic stools. Bong answered all of our curiosities and we truly couldn’t get enough of each meal. Thank you Bong / Flora! We’ll be back :)

Bong/Flora is the person to ask for. She knows all the best places to go. Every place we sat down to eat was a small, family owned place tucked away in a hidden part of the street. Bong was able to order for us, explain the food and the history behind it in great detail. Lovely person, and this experience really gives you a feel for how the locals eat and live in day to day life. Every food was yummy! Highly recommend.

I had the best time with her .. it was just the two of us.. she made me taste things I would have never tried and honestly I enjoyed everything .. she explained everything we tried .. it’s so beautiful to eat with the locals and experience how they live. We did the local food tour with tour guide Bông (Flower) and absolutely loved it! Great tour guide, introduced us to some amazing spots, information about the town, food, history and local people. We had 9 stops all together ending with the most delicious tea and coffee spot. Great english and a nice walk through the town. All the food was great! Something for everyone too as one vegan was in our group and throughly enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Tonight we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Catherine, who was our private tour guide with The Street Food Man. From the moment we started walking through the lively streets of Ho Chi Minh City, she made us feel like locals. We visited five authentic local restaurants, tasting dish after dish of incredible Vietnamese food. Every bite was delicious, and although we ate far too much, it was nearly impossible to stop! What made the evening truly memorable was Catherine herself. She entertained us with her deep knowledge of local customs, food culture, and Vietnamese life, all delivered with warmth and a great sense of humor. Walking the streets with her felt like being out with a friend who just happened to know everything about the city. This was a fantastic experience — delicious food, great company, and insights you simply can’t get on your own. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh.

Every time I visit Hoi An I do this amazing foodie tour with the even more amazing tour guide, Bong. The night is so enjoyable walking through the old town streets and alleyways to visit different iconic Hoi An eating places. Not only do you get to enjoy the most delicious food but Bong also shares her extensive knowledge of Hoi An’s cuisine, history and unique back stories of the people who cook and serve the food. Thanks to Bong you are totally immersed in a wonderful, authentic foodie experience. I just can’t wait to do the tour again when I next visit.

Our guide Phuong was awesome. I was travelling with my mother and we both enjoyed all the food as well as Phuong’s knowledge about Hoi an and Vietnam. She made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed every second. Great food experience in Hoi An! We were afraid that food stalls would be closer to the busy and very touristic city centre but we were taken further back and went on more authentic food stalls. Amazing food in very local places! Bong was a great guide and explained with great knowledge and patience! Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Hoi An! We did this on night 2 of 8 in Hoi An and it was the perfect tour. Our local guide Bong had strong knowledge of local food, people and history and she was more than willing to share this with us. The food was delicious! We were given to chance to try a variety of local foods and were also given recommendations of places to try on another day. We enjoyed fresh local food by the river and watched the sunset. Bong was very friendly and easy to get along with, thank you Bong for a great, yummy experience!! Strong English speaking also which made the tour incredibly easy.

Our guide Jasmine was great, providing a background to the food we were eating and local customs, life and snippets of historical information as well. The food was amazing, and I would not have tried some of it without this tour. Starting with meat skewers sitting on small stools on the sidewalk and finishing with a coconut coffee, best served iced according to Jasime, it was all great. My highlight was sitting in the courtyard of a local family trying black sesame sweet soup. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An.

Our guide, Vu, was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took us to authentic places to sample the delicious local food and explained the history behind the dishes. It was very well organised and it was a highlight of our trip in Hoi An.

Bong took me on an amazing adventure through small streets sampling several Hoi An delicacies. We visited a family home, sampled street food, brown noodles, warm soy drink and visited the home of a 100 year old local who makes black sesame seed dessert. Bong was great to chat to and I enjoyed her company. Definitely end your adventure with a pomelo cold tea!

Excellent experience, shown the food vendors you maybe wouldn’t usually find and the traditional way of eating plus full explanation of ingredients and how to cook, ideal for a first evening to see the town and learn your way around.
