This tour was one of the best snorkeling experiences I’ve had. The guide Hera was so sweet, attentive and kind. The sea walk is the best under water experience I’ve ever had!!

Absolutely stunning view, the staff very friendly!!! Would recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam!!! We had an absolutely lovely day ❤️
Tour was wonderful. The underwater walking was very well organised, and as someone who was very nervous about it, I found it very easy.
Going on a weekday is key. There was just about the right amount of people. The visibility in the water was not the best, and the time walking under water was a bit short. Other than that, a great experience!
The underwater walk was so good and to have a tour guide that speaks really good English is such a bonus - 100% would recommend for couples, friends, solo, or family.
Nice staff, good fun. Lunch on Cham Island was very nice. Walking on sea floor was a great experience - would recommend it. Snorkelling at a few different places was good. Good value, great with kids 12-16 yr old
The guide was good, food was also good. But the tour operator contacted us the evening before the trip that the underwater walking was cancelled and transfer would be with a speed boat instead of a traditional boat. He said the walk would be cancelled because of the weather but it was obviously a lie, because the weather was good, there were simply not enough people who signed up for this. And the transfer in the speed boat was a mess, we were put together with another tour and the boat was very full which also had an impact on the snorkeling which was also rather crowded. In the end more time on the beach would have been welcomed by all participants. Snorkeling was OK, not many colors left but some fish and sea stars.
Big disappointment, first of all we booked the walk underwater activity, which later we were informed by email wouldn't be able to do due to low visibility on the water, (when we got to the boat the guide actually said the equipment was broken, so we've been lied to). And we only got refunded 15$ for not having the main attraction of our experience. We also booked a transfer from the hotel, and they have forgotten about it. I had to call early in the morning to get it, and the driver went to the wrong hotel. We only got allowed to snorkel in two locations for a very limited time, after we got to a beach where we had to stay for three hours "free time" and had lunch. On the return to the mainland one of the engines of the speed boat wasn't working, and the boat crew was trying tirelessly putting it back on but not successfully. And they said they were going to proceed with just one engine on the open sea! The whole group refused, as it didn't seem to be safe. So we stopped at the harbour and stayed there for a half hour or until another boat showed up to pick us up. The guide wasn't really a guide he was more just accompanying us as he didn't give us any information about the islands or sea life, or curiosities . Very disappointed with the overall experience.
Sea walking was great. The main guide was nice as well. The organisation was good. We booked a night before so we’re pleasantly surprised that everything went smoothly. The only negative was the speedboat staff. They have provided with faulty snorkelling device so the water keep coming in. When I told them, they told me to tighten it up, but it didn’t help. I asked them if I can come back to exchange for a different one, but they were ignoring me. I was waiting in the sea near boat to get back in, but as the boat anchored near stones and waves were quite strong, I cut my leg. Luckily one of the passenger help me up. Tried another snorkelling device and was absolutely fine, but they didn’t want to acknowledge the faulty one and just throw in back in the basket (so I guess no sanitisation?).
It was amazing experience definitely do the underwater walk Lovely lunch many food options And snorkel in 2 locations Guides spoke good English
Well worth it, especially if you cannot scuba dive. We had about an hour of snorkeling as well as 15/20 minutes of sea trekking. There were some divers who assisted. The meal provided was very good. Well worth it.
We really enjoyed the tour! The corals out in Cham Islands were better than we expected them to be and the underwater walk was loads of fun! We had a nice lunch on a beautiful beach as well.
Good experience and fun family day. It could have been shorter and we could have been back right after lunch - some 2 hours shorter -, but I guess it is a trick for those who factor in the duration of activities when comparing tours.
Fantastic trip. Bubble hats were fantastic and a definite must. Good on beach was lovely. Highly recommend
Logistics were organized very well. Pickup was on time, they had towels and locker on boat, and the diving crew was efficient. However, water was very unclear during the sea walking so we didn't really see anything (I don't know how it usually is), and the snorkeling spot wasn't great. Lunch was very basic too.
We booked this tour just 1 day before but it was so well managed. From hotel pick up to speed boat to English speaking guide to actual experience all was superb. We were bit nervous for under water walking but our trainer was very good and we enjoyed a lot Last I want to add that we had requested for veg lunch and to my surprise we were served hot and fresh lunch All veg Very well prepared and very tasty. Thanks for such a wonderful experience
It was poorly organised. There are too much of waiting throughout the trip ...waited 30mins to board, arrived cham island, gave 40mins of furthur waiting time at beach bcos the seawalker boat was crowded?), eventuallly brought us to the seawalker boat, waited for another 20mins and did our sea walker n eventually snorkelling. The snorkelling was rushed and we could not see nothing, as water was not clear. Travelled back to cham island for lunch..and again 2hours of free time before we headed back feeling tired from all the waiting
Cham island should be idylic, it is getting ruined like the rest of vietnam travel agencies are only interessted by the money, they don't care the environment don't think to see much under the sealevel, everything is brown and nearly death spend you money elsewhere
very efficient trip. Great exciting speedboat rides, Snorkelling ok.Underwater walking....FANTASTIC!!! Just wish they sold souvenirs of the trip-apart from the photos of course
Very lovely staff, I was really nervous about the sea trekking but staff were lovely and reassuring. Fantastic experience. Not claustrophobic at all. Beautiful location
Excellent day out on boat. Speed boat good. Underwater sea trek great. Food and beach stop very nice.
Good communication before the trip and punctual pickup. Speed boat option gives you a slightly longer day out and was fun. You're taken to a boat by a beach to snorkel and do the walk off, it was very crowded and a little disorganised to start with. Snorkelling wasn't up to much, not many fish and colourless coral. However, the underwater walk was just amazing. Very straightforward if unusual way to see the sealife. We both felt very well supervised and they seemed to look after everybody conscientiously. There is a rail and a path along the bottom. Lunch was good and plentiful, dish after dish. Lots for vegetarians too. Enjoyed the chilling time on a palm fringed beach afterwards. Overall a very good day out.
While I had a good time that day. The tour was really overpriced. If it was half price (20-30 instead of 60 dollar) I would say it was ok. I find the cost doesn't nearly come close to what you get for it. These are not normal prices anymore. The underwaterwalking is nice to experience but not that amazing since you are 20cm apart from each other and follow a railsystem and almost see nothing because tey fees fishes in front of uour face so you see likr 30 fishes trying to gight for bread at once 10cm of your face. So you dont see the corals only the fish that come to the bread in your hand. Also it is only 15m duration. And in between you wait for your turn so you cannot go snorkeling or maybe 10minutes until is your turn and after that also 15minutes. Then its dinnertime and you are taken on the beach and leave snotrkeling gear in a other boat. Also the boattrip crammed full in a boat with hoards of chinese tourist and you see the tourguys are on a tight schedue because of large group. Food was fine and diverse.no complains here. The beach and underwaterworld on cham island is beautiful and if you book tis tour take your own snorkel and go sborkeling on the beach near the rocks after lunch. You will see sea urchins, starfish, many types of corals, shells tropical fish. Really nice. So in short. I would recommend skipping this tour since if i hadnt brought my own mask and snorkel with me i only got like 45minutes MAX of snorkeling, the underwaterwalking included. Quite shamefull to be honest for a snorkeling tour of a whole day. cham island is nice. But not this tour.
Pretty well organised trip with a choice of speed boat or wooden boat to Cham Island, then stop and sea walk, swim & snorkel. Lunch was lovely, really nice food and lots of it. After lunch a nice rest in a deck chair for a couple of hours. Friendly staff with good English.
We as a family of 4 really enjoyed this excursion and thoroughly enjoyed the underwater sea walk - it was incredible when we were given bread to hold while under the water and we were suddenly surrounded by all types of fish nibbling away - amazing. We then visited the island for an hour or so where you could relax on deck chairs/hammocks or swim in a small area. The food was good for lunch although as others have said may not suit everyone's tastes. We then headed back on the speed boat (in my opinion the best way to do this tour as it gives you more time) where you could then purchase an SD card of the underwater trek which was recorded on GoPro by the diver who assisted us (haven't seen the footage yet though!). All in all a different experience which we all really enjoyed.
Well organised, great trip. Sea Trek underwater walking great fun. Only disappointment was the bleached coral which was dead and very few fish when snorkeling. The fish congregated around the Sea Trek underwater walking area where they are fed bread which cannot be healthy. The sustainability of the trip needs to be considered, but as a tour recommended.
I highly recommend this. The sea trek was amazing.I am 60 years old and recommend this for all ages.
Pick up was great driver was early. Ride on the speed boat was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the Under water walking and the snorkel ( I didn't snorkel but had a great time swimming in the water ) . Then we went for lunch on the Island. I didn't like lunch but a lot of people did it just wasn't my type of food. and the hour or so relaxing at the beach was a bit of a waste of time I could of swam but there were so many boats in the water and the roped off swimming part was a fair walk from the group. I would of been happy to do the Underwater walking and snorkeling then headed back to my resort for lunch. I also purchased the GO PRO and that was such a bonus. I had a great experience but would be nice for a shorter option.
I have been in Hoi An before so was looking for something different to do, and I don't think you'll find anything as different as this, water was a wee bit colder than expected, but once in and on bottom of sea, I think they said 15 metres down, was really unique, not sure how long we were underwater for but really enjoyed it, then back on boat to the island for lunch, and as usual on tours, enough food to feed an army. I would highly recommend
We booked this on recommendation from a group we met on our trip, as something a bit different / new. We were picked up from our hotel 15 minutes earlier than told, meaning we had to rush the end of our breakfast, picked up some other travellers then proceeded to sit in a waiting room at the port for an hour without any update or information. The speedboat trip to the islands and back was - for me - terrifying. Our small boat was packed full of people and the driver went as fast as possible. Lots of jumps, swerves and incoming water. Some people loved it and if you’re a thrill seeker it might up your street, but I found it a bit much. We got to the wooden boat where we were marshalled around in an atmosphere of confusion. It was a Vietnamese public holiday and they had clearly booked too many people on. There was one guy who spoke great English who organised us all, the other staff seemed overwhelmed. Snorkelling was average - saw a few fish on the seabed but nothing to write home about. We were advised better to go without flippers. Now, had we left at this point we would have felt short changed and disappointed. However, the underwater walking was AMAZING. Having never dived, this was a brand new experience, getting so close to all the fish and wildlife and having them swarm around. One of the highlights of our trip and we would absolutely recommend despite some of the other downsides of the day. We paid extra to keep the film / photo footage they took. Lunch was good - lovely fresh food and lots of it. Chilling on the beach really nice - good hammocks and chance to relax. Again some confusion about return journeys and timing. We were doing this on a public holiday which may explain some of it. If you just want to snorkel it seemed pricey and underwhelming. The underwater walking was excellent and turned the day around.
Nothing bad to say about this trip! 👌🏻 A professional diver is following with a go pro when walking under the water 👌🏻 you can then buy the SD card for 250.000VND
It was a nice experience with nice guides. I felt safe at all times during the walking part. The snorkling was also nice. After the water activities, we had lunch on the Island (great local food), randomly saw a monkey and had 1.5 hour on the beach before returning to Hoi An. The staff has towels and free water, but other drinks can be bought for 20-30k VND.
We just want to thank the team of seatrek . We booked this trip the evening before : friendly operator Tram just booked via mail our full day at Cham island : walking under water , snorkeling and great food at the beach. Really well organized and professional guys
Had an amazing day with Sea Trek and guide Thach (I think that’s his name). The kids were a little hesitant at first then I couldn’t get the out of the water. Just like an aquarium with great visibility, saw Nemo and Scarface, an amazing purple lip clam as well.
The tour was very well organized, the tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. For a first timer a great experience indeed.
I’m glad I can say I’ve tired walking under water, but I deffo won’t be doing it again. I didn’t realise you stay connected by a cable and you only walk under the boat holding a hand rail placed on the sea bed. You only have 15 minutes and the visibility is poor, not many fish and you only see small types because they have a bag of bread to attract them. If you move around to try and see... water gets in the visor so you have to stay upright and facing forward. Also my visor was always misty so I had to keep putting my inside to wipe it. Wasn’t worth the extra $20 to walk under water. I would stick to just the boat/snorkel trip, the island they take you to is lovely with white sands, clear blue sky and waters, you have a nice lunch and free time on the island .
Sounded a great and novel idea, and could have been bar the string jellyfish, difficult to see and we weren’t warned at all, in fact after having been stung a couple of times snorkelling, I still wanted to try the walk, climbing down the ladder got badly stung on legs and bum - the divers in their wetsuits could have checked I wasn’t descending into the shoal, it could have been easily avoided and the boat should carry vinegar for stings, there was nothing. It could have been worse for a child or if someone sufferred a serious allergic reaction. I am still suffering and am sore all over, not good for a long flight. My husband enjoyed the walk and didn’t get stung but everyone else did to varying degrees Our guides Mr Key and Pang, were friendly, especially sweet Pang who managed to procure some vinegar when we got to the island and was very sympathetic.
We have never done any diving, just some basic snorkelling, but really wanted to see the corals and the underwater world. We heard good things about Sea Trek and that it was possible to do underwater walking now in Hoi An, without diving experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful they even let us book the night before the tour at their office. We had minibus pickup at our homestay in Hoi An. The guide during the trip was really cool, helped us a lot and gave clear instructions. They also showed a safety video, as they really put safety first. Then finally the experience underwater walking. Me and my girlfriend both agree it was the highlight of our entire trip. Never were we able to see so many beautiful fish at once underwater. It was an incredible experience. We fed the fish, saw the corals, walked the bottom of the ocean and took amazing videos and pictures. We recommend this so much when you get to Ha noi, much better than just a basic visit to Cham island. Do this, it is well worth the money and the experience!
A very good trip. The guide was good. Safety comes first. The sea walk was good. Snorkeling gears provided. Lunch included. But did not eat much. Total was a good trip. Pick up from hotel ok
Fun and extraordinary experience thumbs up for an awesome sea adventure with safe and good accommodation
Trip was ok, too many boats on this beach and l found it to be a bit of a tourist trap. Enjoyed the under water walk but lm not sure feeding the fish like this is good for them or the ocean environment.
We booked this trip ahead of arriving in Hoi An, and given a reasonably early start, we weren't sure it was the best idea, however it was a great day. It was primarily booked for our 10 year-old daughter for the underwater walk, but the whole day was superb. We didn't need to buy snorkels as all the gear is on the boat. We started with the walk underwater, which, whilst very closely managed for photo opportunities, and certainly not the best coral or cleanest water one would see, was joyful as we beamed and fed the fish. The snorkelling was fun, but the real surprise was how lovely the Cham Islands are and how much amazing food we were given (twice what we needed). It might cause picky eaters problems, but we loved the Vietnamese food selection. We then had an hour and a half to laze in hammocks and enjoy swimming from the beach. The crew and staff were lovely. A great day out.
I'm a diver myself and I organized the walking underwater tour more for the benefit of my parents who have never tried anything similar. It was an interesting experience. The "walking" took around 15 minutes underwater. Our group of 3 was accompanied by 2 divers who carried some bread to feed the fish and gopros to take a few videos. Underwater you have a railing that you need to hold on to. Everything felt quite secure. The staff on the boat was very friendly and lunch was delicious with plenty of food and choices. We also had a bit of time to snorkel and relax on the beach. The organization of the trip could be better. The pick up was a good half an hour late and I even contacted the office to check if they didn't forget about us. The oraganization on the boat was quite hectic as well with assigning people to different dive groups and later with transfer back when we had to wait good 15 minutes for the buses. Initially we paid only a deposit and we were told that we could pay the rest on the day but no one from the crew knew anything about this. Instead a day later I received an email with online payment request.
Picked up from our hotel, driven to the boat and from then on it was such a well organised day. The sea trek is intensely awesome and an amazing experience. Very safe with good instructions and a tight team making sure everyone is okay. We did this with our 2 eight year olds and they really looked after them. Wonderful Vietnamese crew with good English, but also catering well for a majority of Mandarin speakers. Great lunch stop in a great beach location with great views. Great value for money and home in Hoi An with plenty of day left to get ready for dinner. One of the top excursions for the area, in my opinion.
Do you want to have any regrets in your life??? I didn't think so, so do this trip!!!!!! Let me break it down for you: Staff - Amazing! Boat Ride- Amazing! Views of the island - Amazing! Snorkeling - Amazing! Lunch on a private beach - You guessed it, amazing! WALKING ALONG THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN - BLOODY AMAZING!!!!!!! In all seriousness though, this activity was the best thing I did on my trip in Vietnam and I highly recommend it to anyone, it will not leave you disappointed!
We decided we wanted to visit the Cham Islands, and doing this tour was the best experience of our trip! Every part of this trip was fantastic. From the start, speaking with Sea Trek to arrange the tour was easy. We paid a 50% deposit when booking and the rest after the trip. We were picked up from our hotel by a pleasant member from Sea Trek who took us to the boat which would be taking us to Cham Island. A very pleasant boat trip took us to the beautiful Cham Islands. The snorkelling was fantastic with all equiptment provided. The BEST part was walking underwater, the most amazing experience we have had. The guide takes you underwater and provides food for the fish who swim all around you. After a few hours of snorkelling and walking underwater we were taken by the speed boat to another part of the island where we were provided with a beautiful traditional lunch and given time to relax on the beach before we headed back to the mainland and taken back to our hotel. We cannot fault our day with Sea Trek and all the friendly members of staff. Definitley recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An/Da Nang. Make sure you bring an underwater camera (although they do provide a service to film for you), suncream and extra water!

The experience was amazing we where hesitant as my wife was unsure of claustrophobic feeling however we were reassured at all times our guide was great My background is Safety I cannot speak highly enough for the way we were looked after when in the water we felt confident at all times the safety diver was great he took a video us feeding the fish
We are in our late sixties and handled it very well
I would thoroughly recommend the Trip

We've had a great day doing this tour – walking underwater is not what you do usually – it reminded me of Star Wars Episode I. Apart from the underwater tour itself you also spend some time on a boat and on the very nice Cham island beach. I found Sea Trek team to be very accommodating. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they helped me arrange a birthday cake and wine on the boat. She was amazed! Secondly, as vegetarians we worried for the menu containing meet and fish - no problem at all, we vere provided with a vegetarian menu on request. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Really enjoyed this tour picked up on time went on slow boat for 1.5 hours each way be aware speedboat options are available Spent 15 minutes under water and then taken to beach for lunch and free time.Good choices for lunch plenty of food would recommend this tour

Thanks to the helpful staff, I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind, and I was able to stay calm throughout. The food on the island is clean, delicious and undisputed. The pickup will be delayed by less than 10 minutes than expected, but they will come, so please stay calm and wait.
