Experience Tâboo Bamboo Workshop

I really enjoyed the bamboo workshop. Using the power tools was scary but help and instructions was great. Love the lantern I made. Will definitely recommend to friends who travel to Hoi An.

One of the best workshops we did, we recommend everybody to do that! But the price we paid in Viator website is much higher then the actual price so recommend to check the price

We are family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 girls at the ages of 7,10,12) we had a great time in this workshop. We made with the help of the staff amazing bammboo lamps , the staff are very friendly, kindly and had lots of petitions . It was great experience 🙏🙏 Thank you

This was a special and unique experience. We were warmly welcomed and introduced to the amazing properties of bamboo. After we had the opportunity to admire the many bamboo creations we were invited to choose what we would like to make from an extremely large range of samples. We were helpfully guided through the process, shown how to use the different machines and given support when we needed it. The team were warm and friendly and enhanced our bamboo creations to ensure that they looked good. There was water available and the activity took place under cover with multiple fans to keep us cool. This was a very special experience that we highly recommend.

The bamboo team are clearly passionate about their work. We were excited to pick an item to make each and got going. Sadly, we found the workshop got too busy for the amount of machines available and team members to help. One of us was stood about for long periods of time confused on next steps. My partner had someone help her closely, however wasn’t able to create much of the piece herself as the team member wanted it to look perfect. For us, a better balance between independence and support would make this experience “wow”. I wouldn’t let this stop you from booking, just something to be mindful of to set expecations

Really well organized and they gave me the history tour as well. When I struggled with making my design one of the staff noticed and offered one on one help for free. It was an absolute amazing workshop would highly recommend everyone to do it.

We organised pick up but it turned out a bit too hard so we made our way there. The place is serene and the people running the workshop are very helpful. Very talented craftsmen. There is a vast selection of things to choose from to make. You are guided throughout the whole process to ensure your piece is of good quality. Bamboo is easy to work with. Their English is good and they have a lot of patience. We had a great time and would recommend it albeit a bit more expensive than most things in Hoi An but well worth it.

The workshop is a bit out of town and tucked away down a back street so quite hard to find. Unfortunately, the place wasn't able to offer the pick-up service but they kept me informed via WhatsApp and I was able to get a taxi from my hotel (have Google Maps at the ready if doing this as driver unsure of location). The experience itself was excellent. Was booked in for 8.30am and didn't actually leave until nearly 1pm. Was so nice to get the time to make some pieces myself and then have a browse around the shop area and get many gifts to take home (and they personalised items for me too). Everyone is very patient and helpful and lets you do the creation yourself, just stepping in when needed on trickier bits. They trust you with the power tools and sanders but are keeping an eye out for you. I was able to make a lovely hinged pen holder and others that were there a tankard and a lamp. As a bonus it was absolutely teeming down with rain all day so great to have this indoor activity booked!

By far one of the most authentic experience is well worth the money I will do it again and I would request for an early start so you can take your time but definitely the most authentic experience around. Enjoy the host master bamboo artist very cool and I’ll tell you something one in which is worth every dime there’s many other things I would not do on a budget— Make sure you make room for your goodies for the return flight!

We had a great time at the workshop for a quiet Sunday morning session. Mr Tan was very informative and skilled. The workshop is well-equipped and has excellent ventilation. We learned a number of techniques including manual and electric tools, and we ended up with 2 nice bamboo containers for flowers (or possibly for beer).
