Great experience in the market and then cooking 4 delicious dishes. Good fun and good was seriously tasty. We did the coconut boat too and crabbing, which was ok and part of the trip but the cooking part was definitely worth it

Highlight of vietnam trip! What a fast paced tour, no wasted time, quick pick up by van, met lovely people on tour and super fun coconut boat and cooking class!
Excellent tour. Well organised and fun! Going through the markets was a highlight.
One of my best tours/experiences in Vietnam. Jennifer and Thanh were so kind and funny. I would recommend you to get the ticket with no doubt! I was completely full after the cooking class. So much food and all the dishes were absolutely delicious! Thank you Cam Thanh Family!! I would come back a hundred times again!
Brilliant day - we met our guide Flower at the market in the afternoon where we sourced our fresh ingredients then we had a ride in the basket boats on the river, including fishing with a baited hook for crabs. After that we went to cook, you don't need any cooking experience either as you receive clear instructions. Our stations were all set up with everything prepped for us and we then followed our teachers very clear and careful instructions and we managed to produce papaya salad, Basa fish in a clay pot, Hoi An fried spring rolls and rice pancakes with prawns. We sat as a group to eat together and it all was delicious. I was impressed how well it all came out - we were also given some steamed clams and watermelon to finish our meal off. Finally we were then taken back to the town centre. A fabulous experience, and we have been sent the recipes so we can try out the recipes at home. The whole day is such good value and fun...do it!
We had a great time visiting the market 1st to show us the produce there and what was going in our meal. Then the coconut boat was great fun even with fishing for crab thrown in. Then the cooking class our lady was excellent her English was very good so we could understand what we needed to do. Our meals came out so well and so much food.
Well organised, you get contacted by the driver who goes wirst with you to the marked and show and explains what he buys, then brings you to the corb boats, which is next to the cooking class. Everythonk was explained wery well. Aboslutely worth it :)
We had a great tour and a nice Experience! Everything was super organized! We got a lot of information about the products at the market! The boat ride was fun, but you have to be prepared for a lot of people! The cooking class with Jennifer, as well as shopping at the market with her, were super fun! She does a really good job and explains everything about the products and the cooking process! We were lucky and our group consisted of only a few people; an absolute recommendation if you're in Hoi An.
This tour was well organised with a friendly and helpful guide. The visit to the local market was interesting. The cooking class was fun with clear instructions. We ate the food we cooked which was delicious and there was plenty of it!
I really enjoyed my experience with this tour group. Our tour guide was very friendly, helpful and had a very great knowledge about the local markets, cooking class and basket boat. We went to the markets to select all the food for our cooking class, then we went on the basket boat tour near by the local river then we went back to cooking class carried out the cooking exercise. We cooked spring rolls, fish and rice and made papaya salad. The food was good which we had for lunch. I really enjoyed this experience worth doing it.
Morning marketing to get ingredients for cooking class. Then we were on our way to do basket boat ride. Enjoyable cooking class lead by cheerful instructor. We ate what we prepared and cooked. My friends and I had a great time!
Such a good few hours! Well organised and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the day. At the completion of our cooking, we consumed what we ate and it was sooo good. My husband even enjoyed the entire outing – his tick of approval says a lot!
The tour was amazing loved the boat ride the market shopping and the cooking class was awesome really enjoyed this and the food was amazing to eat afterwards with lovely people.
A brilliant morning tour!! We started with a tour of the market where we tried some herbs and fruit. Then we did a coconut boat trip with some crabbing. Finally we came to the cooking area and cooked 4 delicious dishes! The guide, Tom, was brilliant and we had a fantastic time! There was so much food - we were struggling to finish everything. The whole experience was so much fun and I can't wait to recreate all the food we made with the recipes we were given!
This morning was one of my favourite mornings in Hoi An! The cooking class definitely took the cake - we got to cook Vietnamese pancakes, our own spring rolls, gorgeous seabass with rice and we also had clams. I didn't even have breakfast beforehand and was still stuffed to the brim by the end. Would 100% recommend!
Best cooking class in Hoi An. Had so much fun touring the local market, then off to a coconut boat ride and finally a hands on cooking class. The team of chefs were awesome. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam. Thank you again!
It was a very nice workshop. They took us on a nice tour of the market, a coconut boat ride, and then to prepare the food. Everything was organized perfectly. They adapted our part for vegetarians, and I am sensitive to gluten, and explained exactly what is possible and what is not. Bottom line - highly recommended.
Such fun! The coconut boats were silly but the enthusiasm of the boat-drivers and the guide made what could have been a silly tourist experience into so much fun. Our guide "One" was the perfect blend of informative, encouraging, and funny. One of the best guides I've had in Vietnam so far.
The tour was fantastic. Well planned. Local market experience similar to our Indian market.Basket boat ride was super fine and first time I got this ride. The cooking of spring roll made me realised that I can cook.
Had a great time. We met a bunch of lovely people, including our friendly and informative chef/guide, Tong, who led us on a tour through the markets and then took our cooking class. Easy enough, even for people who are not such confident cooks. Great tasting food to enjoy together at the end. Tong shared both meat and vegetarian copies of the recipes, to whoever wanted one, by email. The tour and cooking class were very professional and organised with plenty of opportunities for great photos.
The host was friendly and picked us up on his motorbike, taking us through scenic small roads in the paddy fields—it was really interesting! Instead of going to Hoi An market, we stopped in a small village to buy from local vendors. The food was delicious, and even though we weren't experienced cooks, with our guide's help, we successfully made spring rolls and pancakes. Hurray! Highly recommend this host!
This activity was so much fun! The boat ride is one-of-a-kind and the cooking class is easy to follow along while still being informative and tasty. Highly recommend adding this tour to your Hoi An itinerary!
We did the cooking class which included a trip to the local market and a boat tour. We had really much fun, learned a lot and the food was spectacular. Really recommend it. Price-performance ratio was incredible.
It was such a good experience!! We went to the market, got explanation on the products we would buy to cook later. Then the coconut boat tour was funny, not too long not too short. The cooking class was definitely worth it, you make A LOT of food and get to eat everything afterwards! Totally recommend it!
A great cooking class experience! Chef Jennifer was so lovely and made us laugh all day. Chef Jenni was so informative and made sure she got to know everyone!
Interesting & fun. Did this tour with our teenage kids - the coconut boats were good fun and we all enjoyed the cooking school. Friendly staff and a good way to spend a rainy day.
We had an excellent time learning about Vietnamese cuisine from Jennifer! The food was delicious and the teacher was great. We look forward to cooking these dishes at home with family and friends. Highly recommend!
Had such a great time today with the infectious enthusiasm of the staff really making it special (shout out to V!). Produced some delicious food and had quite a laugh with some really nice people! Would recommend this to anyone wanting a well organized morning or afternoon!
Incredible! The cooking class was the highlight. The food was delicious and really fun to make. Our host was really great and we left absolutely satisfied and well fed.
This is a great tour. Visited a local market and tried new foods. The ride in the coconut boat was great but the cooking class was the best and the food was excellent!!
Cooking class with Jennifer... we paid for the trip which included the market visit, boat ride, and cooking class. Our boys are aged 11 and 10. The trip to the market was much better than I expected, be ready for a quiz on the produce from Jennifer. We then went out on the conical boats, however we were not that keen on this part. Then we went into the restaurant for the cooking class which was brilliant. Jennifer is funny and patient! Our boys really enjoyed it and the food was amazing. We would highly recommend the cooking class, and really enjoyed our day.
A great experience. Loved going around the local market buying ingredients for the cooking class and learning/discovering about local vegetables and fruits. The boat ride was fun and had a great laugh at the antics of the guides. But the best bit was the cooking class, great fun, learned a lot and most important of all the food tasted really good.
Went with my sister and had the best time. Got to try local fruits at the market then went on the boat ride, which was so much fun. The cooking class was excellent, so much food!! Would 100% recommend.
Was a fun few hours throughly enjoyed the experience staff were so helpful and friendly meet some lovely people . Recommend this tour
We did this tour with our 11 and 14 yo and we had an awesome time. The cooking class was so well organised, we told them before that my daughter is a fussy eater and so they allowed her to make banana pancakes instead of spring rolls and she absolutely loved the experience.
This was one of our holiday highlights. I suggest anyone who comes to Hoi A should book this tour: it was so much fun and the food we cooked was delicious. I've tried making the dishes since we returned home to Australia.
Such a great way to experience Hoi An! I was in Hoi An for less than 2 days and we chose this tour as our main activity. It was a perfect mix of activities -- we started touring the market and trying different local fruits, overall a really cool visual and sensual experience. Then we went on the boat ride where the highlight was catching (and releasing) small crabs with makeshift poles and bait. Then came the cooking class! We had a fantastic time cooking, and it really demystified the dishes we'd been eating in Vietnam. I can't wait to try them at home!
Really friendly staff and also really delicious food( based on good recipes) and helpful advices Huge recommendation
We really enjoyed every part of this tour. The walk through the market to discover new food of Vietnam, the fun trip in the round boat and catching crabs, but the best was the cooking class, easy to follow and fun making our own delicious food! Thank you!
This was one of the best cooking class ever. Loved and enjoyed the food and the class was friendly. Also the coconut boat riding was so much fun. Take this class and boat ride for an unforgettable tour.
Such a cool experience being taken through the market to buy the ingredients for the cooking class. The tour guide explained all the unique foods and what they’re used for in Vietnamese culture. Then we went on the coconut boat rides and crab fishing, really cool as well and you can be spun in the boat if you want for a small extra fee. Returned to where we did the cooking class! Very informative and easy to follow. Food was delish and provided our email so we could be sent the recipes. Definitely recommend doing the cooking class if you’re interested in learning how to cook Vietnamese food. The coconut boat ride we probably wouldn’t choose to do on their own but paired with the cooking class was cool. Staff were super friendly and kind! We had an awesome time
Such a great time! Plenty of local knowledge, fantastic food in the cooking class and every one of their guides were heaps of fun and very approachable. They all spoke fantastic English and made us all feel comfortable and well looked after throughout the whole experience!
It was an eye opening day at Hoi An City with a visit to the market, learning about fruit and tasting unique fruits. Then we were given a fantastic ride on the round bamboo boat, catching crab then did a cooking class in Vietnamese way.
Mr Tuan was an excellent host and teacher. The cooking class and market tour were informative and entertaining. The foods we made were amazingly tasty. Overall a wonderful experience.
Jennifer was very kind to show me around and teach me how to cook. The rice I made was very good. It was a great experience! I want to go again.
A very successful and entertaining morning, perfectly organized. From the pick-up from the accommodation to the market visit, where I could learn a lot, the basket boat ride and finally the cooking together, everything was very relaxed. And the food was really good.
The shopping at the market and the subsequent cooking together was very informative and was great fun for us. The trip with the basket boat we found not so authentic, was probably more than fun. We had imagined something else underneath. Thank you for the unforgettable experience Katrin and Frank
The trip across the market was fine and the cooking class was fun and tasty (and a lot..so don't have too extensive breakfast beforehand). Everything well organized and relaxed Mood. Sailing with coconut boat was unnecessary and I think you might get a nicer trip if you go more in the coconut forest on a boat. Price quality was really fine compared to other providers.
Thank you very much Jenifer for this superb local cooking experience! 🥳 We first made a visit to the market where Jenifer showed us and made us taste or smell different ingredients used in Vietnamese cuisine, especially chilli because she wanted to see us suffer 😈. Despite what she says, she speaks very good English and was able to answer all our questions while remaining in a friendly and playful atmosphere. It was the same during the cooking class during which we were able to cook 4 dishes together: nems, papaya salad, fish dish and pancakes (Banh Xeo). Jenifer even showed us how to ignite a dish! 🔥 In short, everything was delicious in a very good atmosphere and we receive the recipes by email then it was perfect! The little round boat ride with crab fishing was also fun and refreshing with the sea air. The only downside comes from the fact that to enjoy the small attraction of running the boat quickly you have to pay an extra fee. But the afternoon was well worth the 400k VND (price specific to my hostel)! Don’t hesitate and come and feast and learn how to cook Vietnamese with Jenifer!
Was super nice experience and boats were nice addition Jennifer was quite helpful and created cozy atmosphere. Thank you so much!
