Our tour with Mr Van was absolutely brilliant. He is an inspiring an amazing man with an inspiring story. He has a wealth of information - events that happened in his life - which he is generous to share. I appreciated his level of detail and anecdotes. The activity is well worth the admission fee, and the noodles they got us were yummy. Well worth
Excellent excursion and great value for money. Our tour guide Tony was excellent and was so informative. My Son is amazing and there is so much to know and Tony was really good and pointing out interesting facts. Going early was great we were one group of 3 people and were the first ones there giving us the whole site to ourselves. It rained the whole time but was still worth it. I recommend buying the poncho or bringing an umbrella. The lunch noodles were delicious and the rice paper making was great.
We had an amazing day. My Son was absolutely beautiful, especially because when we arrived, we were the only people there. Our guide took time to explain so much to us about the site and then added in so much Vietnamese history and culture. It made the day markedly better than I think it could’ve been with any other guide. Truly a five star experience.
We had lovely time going to My Son with Dung Mai. So beautiful in the forest and nice to see so much of restoration taking place to the temples. Dung gave us so much of information of the history and culture. Dung also took care of us providing us links and info of what to do by ourselves and where to eat. Always contactable on WhatsApp with info and suggestions. Thanks Dung you are a lovely person and made our time in Hoi An memorable.
Amazing value for money. A very enjoyable day with Duc leading the tour. His commentary was a good balance between sharing information (with a good sense of humour) and not talking constantly. All the activities we’re fascinated and the boat rides were lovely and the included lunch was very tasty.
We visited the My Son sanctuary while it was steadily raining which lent an atmospheric quality to the experience. Our guide Tony gave very clear explanations in lucid English about the history and architecture of the site. We had a lunch of fresh Mi Quang and later went to see rice paper making followed by a brief boat ride in Hoi An.
Thank you Mr Tony for a most enjoyable tour today. I very much appreciated being able to participate despite my disability.
The tour is great. Amy is a good guide, the boat, the lunch and the rice paper are also perfect. I love that.
Mr Tony was very communicative. Pick up and drop off were seamless. Mr Tony provided great insight into the history of My Son Sanctuary. The local rice paper stop was very interesting.
Thank you we had such a wonderful time with Lee and the driver . Lee was very knowledgeable and adapted to our needs . We would give him 5 out 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great tour, small group and our guide Tony was very knowledgeable. It was nice to have breakfast together after seeing the ruins.
Great experience. Worth the early start, we were the only ones there for most of the visit. We left around 9.30 am and it was quite busy. Probably 1km of walking all up but all on good paths and flat. Buildings are amazing. Our guide was Van and he kept us entertained with stories from the war and his 26 years experience doing tours at My Son.
We done the sunset tour. We had an unbelievable tour guide who was very thorough with his information about the site. It rained non stop during the tour but did not deter us at all from enjoying ourselves. In fact it was better as it much quieter. The breakfast was great as well as the coffee. The journey was very comfortable from Hoi An and we were provided water. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Booked the evening before date of tour. Our tour guide Amy was excellent and provided a clear and consise explanation of the My Son sanctuary, also provided assistance in obtaining extra cash from local restaurant as we had insufficient funds ( my fault ) on arrival at the sanctuary. The tour went extremely well from pickup from hotel to our return afterwards additionally the contact via WhatsApp regarding pickup was reassuring to know driver was on his way and arrived whilst waiting in the lobby, the additional activities that were included were also highly enjoyable the home visit and rice paper making and the boat ride on the river getting on and off the boat was another experience in its self especially in the rain at the time.
Excellent experience. Our Guide, Tony, was knowledgeable, informative and very professional.
We had an amazing tour with Mr Tony. He was polite, friendly and very informative. He showed us the history of the temples and told us a bit about Hoi An also. The driver was also very careful and freindly.
Good well organised and run trip with very efficient and knowledgeable guide Amy. Great value for money.
The tour was great. Really enjoyed it. Our guide Tony was exceptional. His English is first class and his knowledge and love of his hometown was great to listen to. Could not recommend more highly. Thank you Tony for a great experience.
We enjoyed our tour to My Son. The guide, Tony, was calm and clear in his explanations. We learned a lot about the temples. Visiting the rice paper making was also cool to see! Lunch could be better.
Good experience, knowledgeable guide. Enjoyed it
Van was a great guide. He knew a lot about the history and had a lot of personal experience to add to it. And he was a great photographer
Van was very knowledgeable and a great guide for our small 6 person group! We got to see the site without any crowds and before it got very hot!
We had a wonderful day with Mr Vaa being our tour guide. Mr Vaa was very knowledgeable about My Son Sanctuary. Thanks so much we had a fantastic morning exploring.
Tony was a great guide, we had a great time at the My Son sanctuary. Good value for money. Worth doing.
Awesome tour! Tony as a guide was great, Tom was an excellent driver
Had a great morning at My Son with our guide Tony. He was very informative about the Cham historic site and had organised a great tour that included morning coffee, lunch, a trip to a homestead and making rice paper, plus a short boat ride. The car was clean and cool and Lam the drive was friendly.
This tour was great! Our guide, Van, provided so much information on MySon Sanctuary and was happy to answer any questions we had - my sister had a lot!!! It was nice to have a traditional breakfast and then see how rice paper is made. We also got to meet some pigs at this stop, which was a bonus! It was all finished with a short boat ride down the river in Hoi An. I would highly recommend this tour, and especially to go early morning to beat the crowds and before it gets too hot.
We had a nice trip to the beautiful My Son site. Our guide Tuan gave us a lot of information about the site but also about the village life on our way to the sanctuary. The guide gave us enough time to enjoy the site, have lunch, ...
Very interesting tour. Our guide was Tony. It was very hot already at the tour starting at 7.30am. One of the best moment was the "rice paper" making experience even if we booked mainly to visit the a Champa ruins
Do the 5am tour! You won't regret it! In the heat of August we were sooo grateful for booking this tour. It was well worth the wake up to have MySon without the crowds. We were the first people there. Knowledgeable and organised guide (Tony) included a stop at rice paper making and a boat ride and breakfast.
Great service with a smile. Good communucation regarding hotel pick-up. Wonderful commentary on the bus and at the temples. Van was a lovely guide! Very interesting place. Yummy breakfast!
Great trip. Everything was delivered exactly as stated in advance. Organization-wised, everything runned very smoothly. Our guide was very kind.
Mr. Van was the most amazing tour guide we could’ve hoped for. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the Sanctuary as well as Vietnam history and was able to answer any and all questions. He was also incredibly kind and helpful during our entire tour and made the experience one we will hold with us for the rest of our lives. He showed us the best spots to take photos and even helped us get the right angles for the best pictures of the sanctuary.
Thank you so much for a great morning. We chose the early morning tour to My Son to beat the crowds and heat and it was definitely worth the early alarm clock. Thanks to Tony our guide and to the driver whose name I have forgotten, apologies. They were timely, professional, helpful and kind. We spent a good amount of time at My Son, free time and also guided. The arrival tea/coffee/water was very welcomed. The chicken noodle soup for breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the rice noodle making. The finishing boat trip was good but we could definitely have done without the terrible disco music. Thankfully the captain read the crowd and it was turned off after 2 songs- thank you.
Amy was an amazing guide and the driver was also very kind! Good combination of information on the tour and some time to explore in your own time. The rice paper making doesn't feel forced and is a fun little activity. Overall a really fun tour with Amy as an amazing guide, definitely recommended!!
Very good experience. Amy the guide was very friendly & super knowledgeable. I would recommend this experience
Our guide, Tony, was great! He was really friendly, he’s well-versed in the history of the My Son Sanctuary and gave a very detailed breakdown of the temples. It was a great experience that everyone, who loves history, should try. The traditional food and boat ride were great too.
Was an amazing day. We did the early morning tour. Thank you van for your stories and knowledge and sharing part of your story. Was truly amazing 10 out of 10.
The intricacies, context, and mystery of the Champa Kingdom in My Son was thoroughly explored during this tour. Our guide, Mr. Van was always happy to share various tidbits and answer any questions throughout the leisurely walk. It was a joy to stroll around the fascinating ruins with such a fount of knowledge!
Top quality tour. Really helpful to understand more.
We did an early morning tour (pickup 5am) of the My Son temple ruins. We had a greta history and architecture lesson, had plenty of time to wander the grounds, and a fantastic meal of my quang noodle for breakfast. After that, we visited a local farm where we learned how rice is processed, and we learned how to make rice paper from the sweetest auntie. She was so welcoming and warm, we wanted to stay with her all day! Then we took a boat ride to Hoi An Old Town, which was very fun and relaxing. The boat driver was hilarious and showed us some of the famed Vietnamese hospitality we have been so fortunate to experience here. Our van ride was comfortable and air-conditioned. For the value, this trip was 100% worth it. We were back to Hoi An by 11 and had plenty of time left in the day to do more activities. If I were to recommend anything to someone looking to book this tour, definitely book the early morning tour as it was already very hot by the time we got here; we couldn’t imagine doing the tours later in the day! Lastly, I want to give a special shoutout to our guide, Mr. Tony. He was thorough, informative, and clearly very passionate about this magical place. He made sure we were all having a great time throughout the duration of the tour. We learned more about Vietnam during this tour than we had on previous tours to other attractions. If you get the chance to book with Tony, you are guaranteed to have a great time on this tour!
Very nice tour and interesting informations given by our guide Amy.
This was a wonderful cultural experience. Our guide, Van, was a fountain of knowledge about the temples, and more than happy to answer questions about anything and everything. Being out and about early meant that the crowds were minimal, and this added to the peaceful wonder of the location. Highly recommend this tour, and Van.
One of the best tour to understand the history of one of most powerful kingdoms that governed the whole Vietnam from 4th to 13th centuries. Wonderful design of the Shiva temples. Technology of the Champa kingdom was so advanced that we can’t replicate that even in 21st centuries. Fascinating history of the past. Those who interested in history, must do this. Worth of your money and time.
Would highly recommend Tony without a hesitation, he is a really excellent tour guide. They picked us up on time, managed the group really well, were both warm and very professional. I think in particular, Tony is a really great communicator, managing instructions and timings really well, and checking throughout the morning that each person was enjoying themselves. We would recommend the 5 am tour so you don't get too hot. Thanks so much Tony!
A fascinating visit to the remnants of the Champa people. Our guide was very efficient to make sure we could complete the activities while minimising exposure to the extreme sun and heat. He was knowledgeable and engaging. The rice noodle- making was a "hands-on" experience and the short boat ride back to town was a perfect ending
Very interesting tour of My Son temple ruins. Tony, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Champa people and how the temples were constructed. I recommend Tony and this tour for anyone interested in the history of the Champa Kingdom (9th - 13th centuries). Thank you Tony 🙏
Amazing tour! I really enjoy it!!
What a great way to see My Son. Our tour guide was a very experienced man, who even told us quite a personal tale about his life. Pick up and drop off were very convenient. Only ‘disappointment’ was the rice paper making. This did not entail much to be honest. Our girls thought they would make 1 and then also get to eat it. However, it was just mainly watching someone prepare it, while the ‘rice mixture’ was already pre made. And they said our daughters were too young to help, which was quite disappointing to them. They help around the house and with cooking at home as well… For me this could’ve been skipped, not worth mentioning in the tour despcription. Besides this, it was a lovely morning!
