3-hour Hoi An Countryside Bike Tour : Rural Life & Local Crafts"

We had a great bike tour with Mr Quy. He was prompt with picking us up from the hotel and was a fantastic guide teaching us about farm life. We loved meeting some of the locals and seeing how they worked, and even having a go at being a veggie farmer. Can get very hot so pack a hat, sunscreen and cold water. Would recommend!

Mr Quy was a very knowledgeable, patient, and kind host who was able to give us a glimpse into the the livelihoods of Hoi An locals, as well as a history lesson on the impacts of the Vietnam war. Definitely recommend - the tour was well timed and varied in all that we saw and heard!

Very enjoyable tour with Quy. We were collected from our hotel on time and taken to the start of the tour, bikes adjusted to correct height and safety helmet provided. We cycled at an enjoyable pace to the surrounding countryside and looked at the rice fields, fish farms and crop farms. Quy had great local knowledge and knew the local farmers. We stopped at some fantastic photo opportunities places including with buffalo. Later we visited a wood carving workshop and Quy explained how the wood was sourced. We watched the local craftsmen hand carve the pieces. On the way back we stopped for refreshments which were included in the tour price. All up a great tour and informative way to spend a morning.

Very nice experience with our tour guide Guy! He is very knowledgeable, during our tour we have known a lot about agriculture in Vietnam. We have also experienced to be a real farmer, that makes us a lot of fun. I would highly recommend it!

Most enjoyable morning I have had in a long time. My ride with Quy was relaxed, informative and fun. I learnt things about rice growing , local farming techniques, livestock and how diverse the land owners need to be. I cannot recommend this bicycle tour enough and would highly recommend it to anybody coming to Hoi An

What a fabulous morning ride in the Hoi A countryside. Hotel p/u and then cycled out of town, rice fields, water buffalo and market gardens, finishing with a relaxing coffee stop. Highly recommended.

We did the tour in the morning. The guide was very patient, funny, caring and easy going. His explanation was so good and clear. He explains everything perfectly and showed us the prettiest part of the countryside. Such a good heart.

Mr. Quy is a very funny and helpful guide. We cycled through the ricefields und saw some buffalos. Mr. Quy explained a lot about the vietnamese life on the countryside. It was a very nice trip and i would totally recomend it :)

Our group really enjoyed this bike ride with Mr. Quy! He led the group in single file biking thru the village and rice paddies. When we had to cross a road with more traffic he would wait for the group to come together to walk our bikes safely across. We learned about rice farmers, fish farmers, vegetable farmers, and artisan wood workers. We enjoyed seeing the countryside and insights about life in Vietnam. It was extremely hot during our tour but we still had a great experience. Bring a hat that can be secured on your head, sunblock, and water.

Mr Quy was a mine of information on the rural aspects of Hoi An. We arrived at the meeting point and the bikes were ready. After some adjustments to suit each rider we set off on a leisurely ride through the countryside. We stopped for photos when we wanted and also at fish farms, craft workshops and a Buddhist temple. A very pleasant and informative tour finished with a fantastic Vietnamese coffee. Thank you very much Mr Quy.

The guide was absolutely wonderful! He spoke fluent English and rode with us carefully and patiently throughout the trip. He introduced us to the local villages and gave us fascinating insights into the local culture and village life. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with great patience. This was by far the most enjoyable and experiential cycling tour I have ever been on. Highly recommended.

Excellent sightseeing trip around Hoi An - loved the touches of seeing the rice paddy fields, vegetable garden, fishing and untouched areas not known unless you had a guide. With a child it was super easy having the bike seat and helmets. Leaving at 8am meant the midday heat was avoided but it remained pleasant. Mr Quy was awesome and loved his local knowledge

Really nice cruisy bike ride. Felt safe on the roads as was mostly off the main roads with 3 kids. Learned a lot about Vietnamese agriculture. Highly recommend as a morning family activity.

The kids and I loved our experience together on this cycling trip to the Vietnamese countryside. It was at a good but easy pace and Quy was a very polite, respectful and knowledgeable guide who taught us lots on the Vietnamese farming lifestyle in an engaging and informative way. Highly recommend.

A tour of the Hoi An countryside to discover three traditional villages: vegetable, fishing, and woodworking. Our guide, Quy, was punctual and very kind, and explained so many interesting things to us in perfect English. During the bike ride, we made several stops, in addition to the villages already mentioned. We met Chiao the buffalo and stopped to drink a refreshing mango juice he offered. It was a delightful three hours. Highly recommended!!!

We had an awesome afternoon out with Mr Quy. We saw the beautiful Hoi An countryside with stops along the way at water buffalo market gardens wood carving villages to name a few. My Quy was very knowledgable and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Loved this bike tour with our guide Quy through farmland and villages outside Hoi An, learning about local ways of life, farming techniques, history and culture. Great way to get out of the bustle of town and see a different side of Vietnam. It was an easy cycle along flat roads, but we took the afternoon time slot on a sunny day so it was HOT! Reminder to wear sunscreen, hats and keep hydrated. Mr Quy was very generous and provided us with water, and there are plenty of rest stops in the shade along the way at points of interest so you can cool off.

It was an adventure. Make sure you are confident on a bike as you need to travel through Hoi An traffic for 10 minutes at start and end. Also some of the pathways are shared with motorbikes and some cars.

We swapped out the hustle and bustle for a half-day bike tour with Mr Quay… and it turned out to be one of our favourite days so far 🚲✨ We pedalled through lush rice fields, stopping along the way to visit a fish farm, watch local wood carving, and wander through vegetable gardens bursting with herbs and greens. At one point we even helped irrigate the fields using two giant watering cans… definitely harder than it looks 😅 Mr Quay also introduced us to traditional Vietnamese salted coffee, followed by a coconut coffee for good measure ☕🥥 We wrapped up the day with a visit to a peaceful Buddhist temple — the perfect ending to such a fun and authentic experience. Highly recommend if you want to see a different side of Vietnam beyond the tourist spots.

A really great afternoon cycling around the countryside. Mr Quy took us to rice fields, fish fields, the vegetable fields, wood carving, tasty Vietnamese coffee and a beautiful pagoda. He was very interesting and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. The cycling is easy. Definitely recommend going cycling with Mr Quy!

A great way to spend the morning outside of the city. Mr Quy takes you through the beautiful rice fields to see farmers and craftsmen. Very hands-on. Great tour guide and a great tour group (4 ppl including me).

Mr Quy is a knowledgeable and experienced local guide. He took us to great locations and taught us so much about local culture. They did not feel touristy or contrived. He especially made my partner feel very confident even though she is a novice cyclist.

We did the cycling tour with Quy, we had so much fun, Quy was very attentive to our group making sure everyone was okay and keeping up. He had lots of knowledge of the local area and gave some really good insight to the culture and history. We really enjoyed seeing the rice and fish farms, as well as the traditional agriculture. We did the morning tour and it was still hot, but it made the Vietnamese iced coffee at the end taste even better!! I would highly recommend using Sunset Tours for anyone who wants to get outdoors and learn more about the area of Hoi An.

Mr. Quy met us right outside our hotel with the bikes. They had very nice baskets on front, so we didn’t have to wear backpacks. The biking was easy; it was totally flat. It was a very peaceful tour, away from the hubbub of the city. We had to bike 10 minutes through traffic to get out of the city, but Mr. Quy made sure it was safe, and we walked our bikes across the busiest streets. The farms were beautiful, and lots of fun to experience. I’m glad we did it

We saw water buffalos, visited a farm, met local farmers, and stopped at some beautiful spots for photos. Ending the tour at a peaceful Buddhist pagoda was the perfect touch. Quy is the most hospital tour guide. Very friendly and detailed in sharing the traditional cultural workings of country Hoi An. Highly recommend anyone who is thinking of doing this tour.

This was an excellent trip visiting the local countryside of Hoi An, Mr Quy was very knowledgeable and very friendly taking time with us to explain everything. During this time we went through the rice fields and fish farms before going to a local vegetable field and spent time with a local, then onto driftwood village then to a local temple for the Buddhism religion. Very enjoyable 3 hours would highly recommend, he is an excellent friendly guide.
