Sol An Bang Beach Resort & Spa

We booked a room at the last minute while staying in Hoi An. Mai, Nhan and Loi at reception (and Thung in the restaurant) made the process easy and straightforward, and were extremely gracious and understanding when we faced some external difficulties at the end of our stay. We can’t thank them enough for helping us to have the best possible experience under tricky circumstances. If you want to be near the action, but not right in it, this is the place for you. It is situated just south of the very busy An Bang Beach area, a short ride on a free push bike. The street is a little quieter and away from the hustle of tourists, but hosts a couple of amazing live music venues just across the road and some fantastic restaurants in the resort, and just down the street. The resort has excellent views of the Cham Islands, and a lovely natural setting between the rooms and the beach, with bespoke swings, seating areas and lounges that are fun and relaxing. A choice of 3 pools is also a bonus. (At this time the beach is under construction due to a natural disaster late last year, however this didn’t impact on our stay too much) We had a really lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We had a perfect holiday at Sol An Bang. We were a group of 3 adults, a couple and adult son. We wanted a relaxing, beach holiday to finish our tour of Vietnam. It was a stress free easy place to stay. We had an adjoining room which gave us lots of space. Rooms were good size. Beds great. Having 3 pools at the hotel meant nothing felt crowded. Breakfasts were delish and varied so selecting something was never a problem. The gardens were well maintained. The Beach directly infront of the hotel was being regenerated after recent typhoons but walking a wee bit further along the shore was not a problem. The hotel gave us a spa voucher for this small inconvenience. There is a beach bar which we made use of during the afternoon by the pool. The location was in a very quite street with enough shop selection to suit us for mid morning coffee and dinner. Mai at the front desk was very helpful for anything we needed and made sure we used our Spa voucher. Mai contacted us when we received a parcel posted to us from Hanoi. It was also my birthday when we stayed and I was very surprised that all staff wished me happy birthday and I received a lovely cake. We felt so looked after.

As a long time resident in Vietnam, I have stayed at many places in and around Hoi An. Sol is my new favorite. Love the casual and natural landscape of trees and sand, so quiet and peaceful. Excellent beach. Good food and drink. All staff (reception, food & beverage, security) are welcoming and friendly and helpful. Special mention to Ms. Hong, who made me delicious drinks! Top location. Great hotel, very friendly staff (a special thank you to the front office team – Nhan, Loi and Nai – who were a huge help to us)! There are three swimming pools and plenty of sun loungers. The location is quiet, right by the sea (we were there in April 2026). The street where the hotel is situated is quiet too, but you can still get a Grab taxi straight away if you need one (it’s about a 10-minute ride to Hoi An Old Town and costs around €3). There are a few places along the street, ranging from great, cosy bars with good live music to small restaurants serving excellent food at a reasonable price. If we ever find ourselves back in Hoi An, we’ll definitely be back. 100% worth recommending for the value for money!
