An unforgettable stay in Hoi An This was one of those experiences that leaves a huge impression on you and creates memories you’ll carry with you long after you leave. From the moment we were picked up from the airport by the hotel’s wonderful driver, to the warm and genuine welcome we received from Hanna upon arrival, our time in Hoi An started on the highest note. Every single member of the team at Little Residence was exceptional. Their service, kindness and attention to detail were truly outstanding. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for and so much more. The location was fantastic, 7mins walk to the old town and the room was spacious and very clean. What really stood out to us was how genuinely warm and caring every staff member was. Every interaction felt sincere and it was clear that creating a wonderful experience for their guests really matters to them. The beautiful people who work here are what make this place so special. We cannot recommend Little Residence highly enough. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Hoi An where you’ll be treated with genuine care, kindness and exceptional hospitality, look no further. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We will absolutely be back! Kindest Regards Fo & Tommi

Called to the hotel to enquire re accommodation, on entering one could not fail to be impressed by the stylish open veranda and comfortable reception area. We were immediately greeted by a lovely young receptionist named Sol with a warm and friendly manner. Sol showed us some available rooms which were really spacious and beautifully presented. We initially booked into the hotel for three nights but after 14 nights we were still there and had to drag ourselves away even then. The staff are absolutely lovely there, from Hannah, head receptionist, lovely Alice, Mai, Claire and of course Kelvin, general manager. Kelvin manages several of the group's hotels and yet can be found supporting his colleagues in the dining room in the mornings and working alongside them, what a great example of how a manager should operate. This was our first visit to Vietnam and I have to say that this great hotel with it's incredibly friendly and professional staff reflects so well on the warmth and welcoming nature of Vietnamese people. Thank you so much to you all and we are so looking forward to returning again soon. Brian and Deirdre.
An exceptional stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My recent stay at The Little Residence was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. What stood out most was the quality of care from the staff. Every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about the people staying there — not simply providing a service, but creating an environment where you feel valued and looked after. The kindness, professionalism, patience, and personal attention from the team made such a difference. It’s rare to come across a place where the people make the experience feel so personal and reassuring. The Little Residence is a truly special place, and the staff are its greatest strength. I left feeling incredibly grateful for the wonderful care I received and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere that combines comfort with genuine human warmth. A huge thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. Five stars without hesitation — I couldn’t have asked for better care
The hotel looks like the photos. It's in a great location, just a short walk along the river leads you to the night market. There are free bicycles to rent, some have children's seats attached. The staff are welcoming and enthusiastic; I've had several staff members check on me during my visit asking how I slept, if I needed any assistance with breakfast, etc. I appreciate their kindness. "May" from the front desk & "Peter" who assists with luggage were particularly friendly. We checked in at 3:45 but the room was not ready, only took 10-15 minutes longer. The room itself was a good size, clean, comfortable bedding, good shower pressure and heat, and the air con was very cold. The curtains are not blackout but our room did not face the sun so it wasn't too bright. WiFi was mostly consistent. Breakfast had some variety with Asian and western options. By 9am some options were already empty and didn't get replenished by the time we finished breakfast. We only stayed 2 nights so the options were decent for that length of stay. Overall, it was good value, we are very pleased with the experience and would happily return.
This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The biggest disappointment was the laundry service. We sent our clothes for dry cleaning, and they came back in terrible condition. They were still dirty, heavily sprayed with perfume to mask the smell, wrinkled, and clearly had not been properly cleaned. It was obvious that they had not been washed as promised. On top of that, two of my T-shirts came back with holes in them. Our clothes were simply ruined. The “included massage” advertised with the package was also misleading. There was hardly any availability at the spa, and the massage itself was far below expectations. Breakfast looked impressive at first glance, but the quality was extremely poor. Many items lacked freshness, and even the fruit had a strong onion smell, most likely because it had been cut with the same knife used for onions. It completely ruined the taste. The breakfast buffet appeared extensive but offered very little in terms of quality. Another frustrating issue was the room service. We were unexpectedly woken up around 8:30 a.m. by staff, which completely disrupted our morning. The worst part, however, happened at check-out. We had already settled every bill, including all extras, and were literally sitting in the taxi on our way to the airport. A member of the reception staff came to “say goodbye,” but instead asked whether we had drunk the two complimentary bottles of water in the room and demanded an additional 30,000 VND if we had. After everything we had already experienced and after paying a significant amount for our stay, being stopped in the taxi over two bottles of water was honestly unbelievable. It was a petty and embarrassing way to end an already terrible experience. This hotel looks much better in photos than it is in reality. Between the damaged clothes, poor laundry service, disappointing breakfast, misleading amenities, unnecessary disturbances, and the way we were treated at check-out, we left extremely disappointed. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.
