Bjork was INCREDIBLE! She was so knowledgeable, so friendly, and very fun to talk to! I would recommend this tour to anyone! The caves were breathtaking including the short hike to get there since you have a beautiful panoramic view of the glacier and mountains. The tour is also very well priced. There wasn’t a lot of people around since we booked the tour at the end of October so it felt like we had the whole area to ourselves, we also booked the 2pm tour. Overall, best experience, we’re so glad we booked this tour.

This was great! Our tour guide, George, was very informative generally and when we had any questions about the area, Iceland, glaciers, volcanos; you name it. It was a great experience and anyone who has the opportunity to visit Iceland should embrace a little adventure and go on an ice cave/feature tour. It’s a bit physically demanding, so just keep that in mind!

Thanks to Björk and Fannar, we could discover the ice glacier. Meeting was super easy. Rode with a super jeep during 15minutes, a 40minutes walk through an incredible landscape after, we discovered the cave. Wished I could stay here forever !!! It was so cool. Excellent experience!! The ice caves were amazing, like what we see in national geographic! Snorri and Goran from Marina Travel were amazing! Felt safe at all times, we started on time and enjoyed the fun stories that Snorri had to share. The vehicle was amazing and the music made the ride even more enjoyable! This was really one of our best tours Iceland. The Blue Ice Cave Tour is absolutely worth it. We had a ride in huge specially equipped Jeep to the glacier and Cave. Had to put on spikes under your hiking shoes to walk to the Cave. This was a unique nice experience walking on the Glacier. Our guide was professional and very funny. We were the only two in the group so actually we had a private guide 😊 Stepping into the cave was breathtaking. The ice was really Blue, and it was not really cold inside the cave as you were protected from the outside wind.

Snorri was absolutely amazing! Funny, polite, lots of stories, history… I’m grateful I took this tour. It’s the only tour I did in Iceland. It was very well worth it!

My family had such an amazing experience! The ice cave was so incredible. Our family ranged in age from 70s all the way to my six year old. Everyone was able to do the experience, and our guide (Snorri) was very helpful and understanding as one member of our party has some mobility issues. Snorri was also very friendly and hilarious, so it made the trek even more enjoyable. Tip- bring an empty water bottle as we filled ours with nice crisp glacier water while there!

The Cave was awesome. But Snorri made the whole experience interesting and fun. He truly seemed to enjoy what he did. Made jokes and had fun himself. Was full of facts and stories.

Guides are friendly, give enough time to take photos, the ice hole is also beautiful, can walk on the glacier, experience is happy, wonderful, and witness to the change of the earth.

The tour does not deserve by far the price paid The material for it, nonexistent The actual time of the visit to the cave does not exceed 20 minutes.The rest of the time is for transfer, to take some photos along the way (they did not require more than 5 minutes) and for the Guide to chat with colleagues while we waited Still the total excursion time was 2 hours 35 minutes When I explained these problems to the Guide it was threatening More people from this tour expressed similar opinions

Iceland is not a cheap destination and the tour to visit the caves in the ice is a clear example: the cost of the excursion is simply disproportionate! From the meeting point at the iceberg lagoon you arrive by super jeep to the square where a short flat walk begins. The cave consists of a natural tunnel dug at the base of the glacier by melting waters. The layer of ice in the vault of the tunnel is sufficient to allow the external light to pass through: the result is a typical blue coloration of the vault and walls, definitely suggestive. Very interesting to see the flow of water coming powerfully from below (siphoning passage?) rather than flowing into the tunnel. So part of the gallery visited is basically fossil, although it clearly bears the signs of water activity. Interesting explanations of the guide. It is very sad and impressive that the glacier is retreating about a hundred meters a year, if not more and we are witnessing its disintegration live. Our group had a small number of participants. We had enough time for the visit and the ritual photos. Being a very famous destination, it is clearly very crowded. dozens of tours for different agencies act simultaneously, alternating disciplined visits to the tunnel. If you are looking for underground insulation this is not the place for you.
